SAIL is looking for an Independent Sexual Violence Advisor based in Chesterfield Derbyshire. Your primary role will be to provide a pro-active service for adults who have been or are victims and survivors of sexual violence. You will work within and outside of the criminal justice system, throughout Derbyshire. This post is funded until March 2028. £24,567.90 unqualified / £26,212.20 qualified + employer pension contribution 3% pro rata.

SAIL is an established leader in the field of working with victims and survivors of childhood sexual abuse, incest, rape and all forms of sexual violence. We work will all genders from all communities.
Currently our service provides specialist ISVA, counselling, drama therapy, support groups, helpline and drop in.
Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVAs) play an important role in providing specialist tailored support to victims and survivors of sexual violence. An ISVA is an adviser who works with people who have experienced rape and sexual assault, irrespective of whether they have reported to the police.
Brief Job description
You must have extensive experience of planning, working with high caseloads, alongside strong crisis management skills. Experience in Support Work roles such as domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health, advocacy support or a related field is required. You can demonstrate an awareness and understanding of the needs of adult victims and survivors of sexual violence. You must be able to prioritise cases and work in collaboration with other agencies throughout Derbyshire including the CPS and the police. You will have a working knowledge of the court system and be able to support clients to navigate through it with ease and confidence. You will have an approved and accredited ISVA qualification or a willingness to undertake the ISVA qualification. You must have at least one year’s experience in safeguarding (adults/children.)
You will be required to attend relevant meetings and will provide regular reports to your line manager. You will be required provide talks and presentations to local groups / agencies on the work of SAIL, a strong commitment to developing networks and partnerships with the aim to increase awareness of the ISVA role in the community.
You will be required to travel across Derbyshire the use of a vehicle would be a distinct advantage.

What the job involves
Be part of shaping a vital new service supporting men affected by the sexual wellbeing challenges associated with prostate cancer and its treatment.
Working as part of our Specialist Nurse team, and alongside our new Sexual Wellbeing Service Manager, you’ll provide personalised, compassionate support to men and their partners, helping them navigate their sexual health and wellbeing including treatment side effects such as erectile dysfunction.
You’ll deliver this support across our helpline channels; phone, webchat, WhatsApp and email, offering expert, unbiased information that empowers people to make informed judgements. You’ll also work with men referred from NHS partners as part of our new Movember funded service, focusing on those who need timely, specialist intervention.
You’ll help shape how this service grows. That includes:
· supporting the development of targeted sexual wellbeing resources
· contributing clinical insight to service improvements and new projects
· helping to deliver online group support, patient classes and webinars
· working with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK so that the latest clinical knowledge informs our wider activities, from education sessions for clinicians to our written health information
· representing the charity at external events where needed
· collecting and recording data to help us understand impact and continually improve
This role blends hands on support with the chance to influence a pioneering new approach to sexual wellbeing for men affected by prostate cancer. You’ll be part of a supportive, expert clinical team and will have ongoing opportunities to develop your practice.
What we want from you
You’ll be a registered nurse with experience working at NHS Band 6 or equivalent, and you’ll bring a real passion for improving outcomes for men living with and beyond prostate cancer. You’ll already have experience supporting patients with sexual wellbeing needs, whether through erectile dysfunction clinics, sexual health services, oncology or urology pathways, and feel at ease talking openly and sensitively about issues like erectile dysfunction, intimacy and treatment related changes.
You’ll be an excellent communicator who can explain complex clinical information clearly, whether you’re on the phone, responding to a WhatsApp message or delivering a webinar. You’ll be comfortable working unsupervised, while also being a supportive, collaborative team member.

How and where we work

Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.

One25 is a Bristol charity for women moving from crisis and trauma towards independence in the community. It is a highly respected charity working with some of the most marginalised women in Bristol.
One25 services have been developed to meet women at their point of need, with love and practical support. We do this through our night and early morning outreach service which is a lifeline for nearly 200 women on Bristol’s streets. Our Hub provides support for women to access health services and healthcare professionals. Our caseworkers offer intensive one-to-one care in any area of need: from support in court to finding somewhere safe to live.
We are recruiting a Van Outreach Worker to lead One25’s van outreach shifts on Saturday and Sunday nights every other weekend. The role provides support to women who are street-sex working, leads and supports a small team of volunteers on each shift, provides briefings and debriefs before and after shifts, and makes decisions relating to safeguarding and safety on the van. The role also involves an additional 2.5 hours across the week to connect with the wider team, complete admin tasks and for learning and development.
We are looking for someone who can bring compassion and a non-judgemental approach to their engagement with the women. This is a unique role, and every night can be different. You should have experience of supporting women with multiple disadvantages/complex trauma resulting from sex work, homelessness, domestic abuse, mental health or sexualised trauma. You should have great interpersonal skills and understanding of professional boundaries and confidentiality which help you to support the volunteers who keep One25’s services running. You should be confident, able to think on your feet and, when necessary, be decisive.

About the role

As this is a pilot role, you will also play a key part in shaping and developing this specialist brief intervention ISVA provision in response to survivor need.

We are looking for motivated, value-driven advocates to join a new, innovative community-based Gender-Based Abuse service in Southwark. This is not a traditional domestic abuse support role. You will support people of all genders affected by gender-based abuse and help shape a service built around prevention, creativity, and community voice. The Role

1 x ISVA: You will work with individuals impacted by sexual abuse and VAWG.
As this is a community-based role, candidates will need to be flexible, confident working across different settings, and understand how to be engaging and approachable.

About the Role
As a Sexual Violence Outreach Worker you will provide compassionate, flexible, and connected support to clients who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and/or adult sexual assault, in order to help them engage with the support provided by the new Integrated Plymouth Sexual Violence Service.
Many individuals accessing the service will have experienced multiple adverse experiences and may present with complex, intersecting needs such as insecure housing, substance misuse, domestic abuse, and significant mental health challenges. You will provide support that aims to meet people where they are in order to build rapport and trust as the foundation for longer-term support and interventions.

The Advice programme provides trusted information, resources, advice and casework in Spanish and Portuguese on key areas of need, including immigration, welfare entitlements, housing and homelessness prevention. IRMO is accredited by the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 3. We are also members of Advice UK and receive second-tier support from Southwark Law Centre.
Alongside this, the programme works with local health boards to run initiatives designed to improve access to health services, such as HIV testing, sexual health and family planning advice and Chagas disease testing.
