CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.

We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.

Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.

The Role

CoppaFeel! is looking for a Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager to oversee the production of high-quality health information and resources and lead on CoppaFeel!’s healthcare engagement work.

The Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager will sit within the CoppaFeel! Education Department and will work closely with the Head of Services and Health Information & Services Manager.

The Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager will be responsible for leading our work in the health engagement space. They will play a key role in supporting the strategic direction of this work and provide insight and sector knowledge to support decision making within the leadership team. This will involve building strong relationships with clinicians and healthcare stakeholders, enhancing CoppaFeel!’s role in the healthcare sector.

The Senior Healthcare Engagement Manager will have oversight of the production of our health information and resource portfolio. This role ensures that all health resources are accessible, impactful, and trusted, meeting the highest standards, including those required by the Patient Information Forum Tick Accreditation.

This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office 2 days per week. You will also be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings and in person training, we will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes.

Duties and Responsibilities

Health Engagement

• Work closely with the Head of Services to set the strategy for CoppaFeel!’s work in the healthcare space.
• Provide vision and direction to support departmental growth in healthcare engagement, ensuring alignment with overall organisational goals.
• Drive the development of new and existing strategic initiatives to engage healthcare professionals, ensuring messaging remains relevant, builds credibility and reflects developments in breast cancer in the healthcare space.
• Work closely with the Senior Policy & Influencing Manager to strengthen links between influencing and the delivery of health engagement initiatives.
• Work closely with the Senior Programmes Manager to support the development of regional engagement work and the development of relationships across Cancer Alliances.
• Work collaboratively internally and externally to understand the needs of different healthcare audiences and work with teams across the organisation to develop engagement initiatives that increase knowledge and confidence of breast cancer in younger people.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key clinicians and expert stakeholders to enhance CoppaFeel!’s presence within the healthcare space.
• Lead on the design and delivery of training for healthcare professionals encouraging the integration of CoppaFeel!’s resources into their practice.
• Lead and manage CoppaFeel!’s Medical Advisory Group, ensuring it evolves in line with organisational needs.

Health Information

• Work with the Head of Services to set strategic direction in relation to resources, health information content and the production process.
• Provide expert advice and guidance at both strategic and operational levels on best practice approaches to delivering high quality health information and resources, with a focus on optimising reach and impact.
• Hold responsibility for the continued accurate and consistent development of the charity's Health Information provision.
• Oversee the creation and dissemination of high-quality health information, ensuring it is accessible, accurate, and meets accreditation standards required by the Patient Information Forum.
• Provide direction to the Health Information and Services Manager in development and delivery of a portfolio of materials, resources and reminder services.

Strategy & Management

• Support initiatives to ensure that CoppaFeel! Staff are knowledgeable and up to date with issues around breast cancer in younger people.
• Design and deliver internal Health Information team training across the organisation.
• Line manage the Health Information & Services Manager and the Health & Services Executive, offering guidance, support, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
• Represent CoppaFeel! in media opportunities where appropriate to communicate key health messaging.
• Work with the Impact & Evaluation manager to ensure robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks are in place to track the effectiveness and impact of our work.
• Collaborate with the Senior Engagement & Inclusion Manager to ensure that all health information and engagement strategies are inclusive, accessible, and representative of diverse communities.
• Manage departmental budgets ensuring efficient use of resources and supporting and informing phasing and re-forecasting.
• Support the development and implementation of operational plans. Ensuring that projects are tightly managed and delivered on time and within budget

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• Extensive experience leading the delivery of health engagement initiatives.
• Proven experience in the design and delivery of education and training for healthcare professionals.
• Awareness of clinical policy and practice changes influencing health care practice and delivery.
• Knowledge of Healthcare professional culture, NHS systems, primary care settings, and breast cancer services.
• Proven experience in developing and writing health information and applying health literacy best practices.
• Strong ability to understand medical information and how this can be translated into clear, accessible messaging.
• Experience managing health information production processes, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Experience managing multiple projects with the ability to oversee competing priorities and deadlines.
• Experience managing budgets.
• Previous experience line managing a small team, with a focus on team development.
• Outstanding collaboration skills with both external and internal stakeholders and ability to manage relationships with confidence.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Understanding of EDI principles in service delivery.

Desirable

• Awareness of developments in the clinical research space and how this might influence healthcare practice.
• Strategic planning experience in the health or charity sector.
• Experience representing organisations in media or public communications, or a willingness to be trained.

Would you like to help send donated medicines around the world to those who do not have access to live-saving medicines? IHP is recruiting a Logistics Officer to become part of our growing logistics team who coordinate the safe and responsible donation of medical products to where the needs are greatest, so that people don’t suffer needlessly from treatable illnesses.

As a Logistics Officer you will play an integral role in IHP’s work arranging the shipping of donated medicines and medical supplies, for example our essential health packs and antibiotics, ensuring their secure transportation to disaster hit and vulnerable communities such as Sudan and Gaza.

Your responsibilites will include:

• ​Securing cost effective shipping quotes from some of the largest freightforwarders in the UK
• Preparing shipping documentation
• Ensuring shipping files are accurate and kept up to date
• Updating offers on our management system
• Communicating regularly with external partners, including key logistics partners, carriers, NGO's receiving shipments 
• Representing the Logistics team on the QMT (Quality Management Team)

Who you are:

What the job involves

Be part of shaping a vital new service supporting men affected by the sexual wellbeing challenges associated with prostate cancer and its treatment.

Working as part of our Specialist Nurse team, and alongside our new Sexual Wellbeing Service Manager, you’ll provide personalised, compassionate support to men and their partners, helping them navigate their sexual health and wellbeing including treatment side effects such as erectile dysfunction.

You’ll deliver this support across our helpline channels; phone, webchat, WhatsApp and email, offering expert, unbiased information that empowers people to make informed judgements. You’ll also work with men referred from NHS partners as part of our new Movember funded service, focusing on those who need timely, specialist intervention.

You’ll help shape how this service grows. That includes:

· supporting the development of targeted sexual wellbeing resources

· contributing clinical insight to service improvements and new projects

· helping to deliver online group support, patient classes and webinars

· working with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK so that the latest clinical knowledge informs our wider activities, from education sessions for clinicians to our written health information

· representing the charity at external events where needed

· collecting and recording data to help us understand impact and continually improve

This role blends hands on support with the chance to influence a pioneering new approach to sexual wellbeing for men affected by prostate cancer. You’ll be part of a supportive, expert clinical team and will have ongoing opportunities to develop your practice.

What we want from you 

You’ll be a registered nurse with experience working at NHS Band 6 or equivalent, and you’ll bring a real passion for improving outcomes for men living with and beyond prostate cancer. You’ll already have experience supporting patients with sexual wellbeing needs, whether through erectile dysfunction clinics, sexual health services, oncology or urology pathways, and feel at ease talking openly and sensitively about issues like erectile dysfunction, intimacy and treatment related changes.

You’ll be an excellent communicator who can explain complex clinical information clearly, whether you’re on the phone, responding to a WhatsApp message or delivering a webinar. You’ll be comfortable working unsupervised, while also being a supportive, collaborative team member.

We’re looking for someone who:

· is confident supporting men and their partners through sensitive, often emotional conversations

· can work calmly and professionally across multiple digital channels

· is curious and keeps their clinical knowledge up to date

· is organised, adaptable and able to manage a varied caseload

YMCA WiSE (What is Sexual Exploitation) is our specialist project supporting children and young people across Sussex and Surrey who are affected by, or at risk of, exploitation. Through education, awareness‑raising and empowerment, we help young people understand healthy relationships, recognise harmful behaviours, and build safety and resilience.

Unlike statutory services, WiSE has a youth focussed offer that is voluntary to engage in. Our team understand young people, lived experience and trauma, and how this shapes their understanding of the world.

We have an exciting opportunity to join the WiSE team as an Early Intervention CSE Worker. In this role, you will deliver preventative and early intervention work across Surrey, supporting young people, schools, and professional networks to recognise and respond to the risks of sexual exploitation and harmful sexual behaviours.

Key responsibilities are:

• Deliver a programme of targeted group sessions aimed at preventing sexual exploitation and addressing emerging harmful sexual behaviours (complementing the universal and enhanced RSE offer delivered by the Sex Ed Forum).
• Build professional relationships with Surrey education providers, arranging and delivering group sessions across a range of settings.
• Maintain accurate case notes and monitoring data, contributing to timely reporting for the service and funders.
• Work collaboratively with key partners including Children’s Services, Public Health, Police, LSCB, the Sex Ed Forum, and Community Safety teams.
• Support the development and delivery of awareness‑raising campaigns targeting young people, parents and carers, professionals, and the wider community.
• Work closely with WiSE staff and wider professionals to identify young people at higher risk and refer them to WiSE project workers for specialist intervention.

We recognise the emotional weight of this work and prioritise a reflective, supportive environment for all team members. To ensure you feel supported and able to deliver high‑quality practice, you will receive regular line management supervision focused on wellbeing and supportive weekly team meetings.

Role Description

To provide holistic support to anyone who has experienced sexual violence and to identify and engage with these individuals on a one-to-one basis, enabling them to access services and make positive, empowering choices. 

Responsibilities:

• To provide support to service users who have experienced sexual violence.
• To provide support to the facilitation of group work within the service.
• To provide group work interventions on a 1-2-1 basis where the service user is unable to access groups.
• To lead on providing service users information sessions and informal group activities / events.
• To independently manage a small caseload of adult client cases, providing practical and emotional support.
• To conduct risk assessments, do case management and safety planning in partnership with other key agencies.
• To advocate in a range of settings on behalf of the service user and working towards them being their own best advocate.
• To help service users to make informed choices about their future options.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Essential:

• Experience of direct support work with victims or other vulnerable people including providing emotional and practical support.
• Excellent Caseworker with good assessment, motivational and empowerment skills.
• Organising, prioritising, risk management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience of working cooperatively and effectively in a team.
• Willingness to be able to work flexible hours when necessary and be part of an on-call rota.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including presentation skills.

Our exciting Health IDVA role is leading the way in forging referral pathways between GPs and specialist support for survivors of domestic abuse. You will build on our existing strong relationships with all the GP practices in Greenwich, provide robust in-person and online training to GPs on how to spot the signs of abuse, and manage a caseload of women referred by GPs. 

Aims of the Role

· To build and maintain effective relationships with general GP practice teams, and to recruit local general practices to participate in the DA Health programme

· To provide in-house training for GP teams on understanding, recognising and responding to domestic & Sexual abuse (DSA).

· To provide ongoing specialist advice and support around Domestic and Sexual Abuse to GP teams

· To encourage GP health professionals to ask patients about their experience of abuse and respond, record, safety check and refer

· To provide specialist, individual and needs-led DSA advocacy and support to female patients who are experience DSA who are referred from participating practices, and to provide onward referrals where appropriate, again initially via phone

· To provide signposting and onward referrals to male patients who are affected by DSA

· To provide feedback on case outcomes to referring clinicians

· To collect and collate performance and monitoring data for reporting purposes and with a view to further embedding and developing the Health IDVSA programme locally

Areas of Responsibility

1.  Practice-based work

· Work closely with the Clinical Lead to promote the HEALTH IDSVA programme within the area and to encourage local general practices to sign up 

· Negotiate dates for and arrange training sessions with practices that agree to participate

· Prepare training packs for practice training sessions

· Deliver, alongside the Clinical Lead, our bespoke DSA training to clinicians and non-clinical staff in participating general practices and prepare training materials where necessary

· Promote awareness of the experiences and needs of women affected by DSA, particularly in relation to their health, in partnership with the Clinical Lead

· Develop a good relationship with all general practice staff and work effectively as part of the practice team. This includes:

.   provision of systematic and support to the primary care teams of participating general practices, including meeting with individuals and small groups of clinical and administrative staff

.   Attending relevant meetings

· Maintain effective monitoring procedures and ensure that clear accurate records of practice-based work are kept and maintained, in line with Health IDSVA requirements

· Feedback on the use of the electronic medical record prompt linked to the Health IDSVA programme and provide patient feedback and case updates /outcomes

· Using the data collected, maintain an overview of local practices’ engagement with the Health IDSVA programme

· Act upon this overview to proactively ensure that the Health Idsva programme is well established and embedded, and that all local HEALTH IDSA -trained practices are engaging with the programme.

2. Advocacy and support service

· Provide support to women experiencing (or who have recently experienced) DSA referred by primary health care clinicians or MARAC

· Provide support to women experiencing (or who have experienced) DSA who self-refer from participating practices

· Provide direct assessment, casework support, advice, information and advocacy to women experiencing DSA through telephone contact, and/or meetings at the relevant practice

· Work with women experiencing DSA to increase their personal safety, and that of any children, and inform them of their rights and options in terms of housing, legal and welfare rights

· Develop good working relationships and liaise with outside agencies when needed.

· Keep accurate records of all referrals received and of work done with or on behalf of service users, in line with Health IDSVA requirements.

3. Reporting and Monitoring

· Attend and participate in the local Health IDSVA steering group meetings

· Contribute to monitoring and evaluation of the Health IDSVA programme, by:

- Collecting and collating all practice-based and referral and advocacy data and monitoring, as requested

- Producing written reports as requested (e.g. quarterly reports, annual report), including for the local Health IDSVA steering group

·       Participate in multi-agency working parties and focus groups, when requested to do so by the Director or your manager.

·  Provide advice and training at a range of locations as requested for both professionals and the public

About this role:

The role of Specialist Support Worker involves supporting a caseload of clients who are experiencing homelessness and taking part in regular outreach visits to temporary accommodation (TA) across Greater Manchester. The role requires the use of specialist knowledge and relationship skills to support clients with varying degrees of mental and physical health, addiction and trauma related issues to engage with health services and to access suitable housing solutions. The Specialist Support Worker is also expected to develop good working relationships with TA Landlords and Managers ensuring that their residents experience of TA is as positive as possible.

This will include advocacy in registering them for medical services and accompanying them to appointments, assisting them in addressing all aspects of physical and mental health and substance addiction needs, as well as advocating for them to get access to suitable housing and social security benefits. The role is dependent on excellent communication and collaborative working with colleagues and a variety of partners, including the Probation Service, local council services and other third sector organisations.

The role requires a high degree of motivation in addition to creativity and flexibility to support people with multiple and compound needs. With a passion to work collaboratively with others for the good of our clients, and with experience of working in a related field in a voluntary or paid capacity.

Role description

Service Delivery:

Using frontline practical and procedural knowledge of working with people with multiple and compound needs to support them to engage with health care, wellbeing services, benefits and housing services during their housing vulnerability.

This could include, but is not limited to:

• Assisting people in addressing housing, financial, health and wellbeing needs through the support pathway.
• Connecting people with appropriate support services such as substance misuse services, GP, mental health services, advocating on behalf of the client and accompanying them to appointments.
• Supporting the delivery of outreach to TA’s across Greater Manchester on the Justlife minibus. This includes engaging with residents, managers and landlords of TA to build effective working relationships and establish support needs.
• Helping to increase the self-confidence of clients to improve their chances of moving on from their housing vulnerability through one to one key work sessions, group activities and outreach.
• Maintaining regular contact, a listening ear and emotional support during times of crisis.
• Liaising with Landlords and property Managers to identify residents who would like support and to help prevent evictions.
• Manage own calendar to deliver a caseload during periods of work-related pressure, including actively pursuing the project outcomes set for the project and individual clients.
• Use interpersonal and communication skills to provide support to clients and collaborate with others including colleagues, partner agencies, health care professionals and external agencies through joint working.
• Take duty of care seriously by assessing the client’s social and environmental conditions, identifying and passing on information to and from relevant professionals, ensuring client confidentiality is maintained.
• Use of excellent writing skills to prepare and submit referrals and housing applications along with a good working knowledge of housing legislation in order to advocate on behalf of people.
• Brief and liaise with other members of the team and external agencies regarding clients, enabling them to effectively carry out their roles.
• Ensure accurate and up to date client data and case notes are recorded within our Inform database within the standards set by the organisation.
• Carry out light physical tasks, such as travelling to visit people on outreach, shopping, organising deliveries or lifting office equipment.

Service Development:

• Collaborate with the entire Specialist Support team to ensure support requirements are in place for all registered clients.
• Contribute to initiatives that seek to influence service improvements, implement changes and develop new interventions and support for clients.
• Provide data, reports and impact studies when requested.
• To be part of and contribute to the Justlife staff team, attending meetings as appropriate and to be involved in staff development, training, supervision and reflective practice as well as continuing professional development and training events where appropriate and be committed to team events.

Research:

• Supporting the wider Justlife vision to feed into research and help develop the service including the involvement of clients in design and delivery of the service.

Person Specification

Experience:

• Experience of working with vulnerable adults (those experiencing homelessness or housing vulnerability, or a comparable client group).
• Experience of working with drug and alcohol dependent adults and those experiencing poor mental health.
• Experience of working with people in contact with the criminal justice system.

Skills:

• Care, empathy and skilled in dealing with emotionally vulnerable clients.
• Excellent ability to engage with clients in an empowering manner.
• Effective communication; written and oral skills.
• Effective administrative and IT skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Driving licence holder and access to a vehicle (desirable).

Knowledge:

• Demonstrate knowledge of assessment, support planning and interventions that help clients experiencing homelessness or housing vulnerability to feel connected and healthier.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the challenges and solutions to working with a client group who may be experiencing one or more of the following: poor health (physical and mental), substance misuse, homelessness and contact with the criminal justice system.
• An understanding of health and safety and safeguarding policies and procedures that aim to keep staff and clients safe.
