About The Role
We’re looking for a creative, proactive and digitally savvy Social Media and Content Assistant to join our Communications team. You’ll support the planning, creation and delivery of engaging content across our social media channels, with a particular focus on Instagram and TikTok.
You’ll be responsible for creating content that helps the organisation achieve our marketing objectives, which are:
- Inspire inclusive practices among projects and professionals working with young people in music.
- Build the credibility of Youth Music among young creatives.
- Grow awareness of Youth Music as the leading voice on young people and music.
- Demonstrate the impact of Youth Music’s work and partnerships.
- Support the organisation in achieving our ambitious fundraising goals.
You’ll be line managed by the Digital Marketing Manager and will work closely with the Digital Content Lead.
About You
This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes social media, loves spotting trends, and has a passion for storytelling that spotlights the work of young people amnd grassroots projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Spot and recreate viral trends, adapting them into engaging content for Youth Music’s audiences.
- Confidently use TikTok and Instagram features, trending sounds, and best practices to boost reach and engagement.
- Support in planning, creating, editing and scheduling content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, graphics, blogs).
- Capture and share content from live events, including NextGen community events, festivals, and project visits (occasional evenings and weekends required)
- Oversee our social media channels on your working days, monitoring all channels (TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn) and liaising with the Digital Content Lead to ensure that messages and comments are responded to promptly and appropriately.
- Contribute ideas for campaigns and activations that highlight Youth Music’s impact and opportunities.
- Craft unique copy for multiple channels and formats across campaigns, business documents and owned media.
- Support the preparation and running of content shoots, from planning to on-the-day assistance.
- Research trends, youth culture and peer organisations’ activity to inform fresh and relevant content ideas.
- Track and analyse content performance, supporting the creation of regular insights reports.
- Ensure all content is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with Youth Music’s brand guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining the Asset Management System, ensuring all assets include accurate information (such as credits and consent details) and are regularly updated.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Minimum 12 months’ cumulative experience in a social media, digital content or communications role.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
- Confident using TikTok and Instagram features, sounds and trends to create engaging content.
- Clear and accurate written communication skills with good attention to detail.
- Ability to edit short-form videos using tools such as CapCut, Canva or Adobe Premiere.
- Basic graphic design skills, ideally using Canva or similar software.
- Confidence contributing ideas and supporting campaign planning.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
- Enthusiasm for Youth Music’s mission to equalise access to music.
- Interest in the UK music scene, particularly youth and grassroots projects.

The Role:
The Marketing Assistant will play a key role supporting the Marketing & Communications team in implementing the integrated communications strategy and providing marketing support for the promotion of hospice services and income generation activity.

Job Purpose
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Communications and Engagement Officer who can effectively convey the life-changing impact of our work, motivate our community to volunteer, donate and fundraise to support our work, and ensure that the information and educational resources we provide reach those who need them most.
Key Responsibilities
Communications:
· Act as the first point of contact for IPWSO’s public email address and social media channels and ensure timely and appropriate replies.

· Support IPWSO’s Famcare Board by facilitating their online meetings and assisting with their online events.
· Work with the Project and Operations Manager to provide membership support, liaising with IPWSO’s member organisations as needed.
· Proactively engage with member associations to promote IPWSO and also to understand their needs and how IPWSO can be of help.
· Work with the Project and Operations Manager on our Educational Outreach programmes. Work will include liaising with event organisers with regards to IPWSO’s booths at different conferences, ensuring follow up as needed (including help with preparation of PowerPoint slides), engagement follow up including data entry to update our database (Donorfy).

The Role

We're looking for a dynamic, community focused manager to lead our Hub operations, staff and volunteers. As the manager, you will report to the Trustees and have the opportunity to develop the centre to cater for needs in the community.

About the Role
We are seeking a capable, motivated Operations Manager to lead on the effective running of our charity’s systems and operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring our work remains efficient, financially sustainable, and aligned with our strategic goals.
Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Leadership Team, you will oversee the smooth functioning of our internal systems—including finance, CRM, IT, and communications—while supporting fundraising processes and continuous improvement across the organisation.
This position will suit an organised, analytical, and values-driven professional who enjoys making systems work smarter and supporting teams to deliver impact.
Key Responsibilities

Leading Our Operations: Accountable for the smooth operational running of our Operational, HR and Financial Systems, including Salesforce, and identifying operational risks that could affect the charity’s mission. Your proactive approach will help us stay on track and keep making a difference.

Supporting Our Fundraising: Work closely with other members of the Leadership Team to identify fundraising opportunities, support with bid writing, and take responsibility for individual giving, managing our fundraising CRM, Donorfy.

Supporting Change: Accountable for managing transitional change programmes across the organisation in respect to operational processes and procedures. Help our team adapt to new processes and procedures by providing guidance, training, and resources.

Financial Oversight: Understand the revenues and expenses of the charity in order to promote operational efficiency while managing cashflow risks. Whilst this role doesn’t require advanced experience in accounting or bookkeeping, the holder will take responsibility for day-to-day finance processes, including invoicing, account reconciliation on our account software Xero, and monthly financial reporting, as well as working alongside our external accountant.

Communications and IT Fluency: Oversee systems supporting communications and marketing, including our social media platforms and website, ensuring effective collaboration with our external partners.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Office of Development and Alumni Relations team at the University of Southampton, creating and delivering a range of strategic communications for our alumni and supporter community.
You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering a whole plethora of communication tools to support our fundraising and engagement, with a particular focus on our upcoming Campaign for Southampton. Due to launch in 2027, this will be our biggest fundraising campaign ever, with a target of £100m. One of our key fundraising focusses will be the Institute for Medical Innovation; we will raise £50m to build this groundbreaking facility, which will address the world’s most pressing healthcare challenges through interdisciplinary research. We are looking for an experienced communications professional to support us with creating engaging communications. You will be responsible for activities such as:
- Developing compelling propositions
- Delivering the communications to support major gift prospect fundraising events, from creating invitations and shaping the themes, through to developing event materials and briefing speakers
- Creating and editing a wide range of communications pieces for our major gift prospect audience, from written case studies through to web content and video
- Managing the development and execution of new creative for the Campaign for Southampton
- Sourcing new stories and gathering information through interviews and desk research
- Supporting the team where needed on both fundraising and alumni engagement communications
This is a part-time role, working four days a week (but will consider 3.5 days), on a fixed-term contract for 24 months. Like many organisations we’re currently working hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. There is the opportunity to work more days in the office as desired.
