About the role
Kinship Minds is a transformative programme that enhances the support we provide to kinship carers in England and Wales. Our goal is to build kinship carers' confidence and equip them with the knowledge and skills to support children in their care - especially in recognising and responding to early signs of mental health issues.
We are at the beginning of our journey to embed therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches across all areas of service delivery. This includes 1-to-1 support, digital resources and training, and peer support networks.
The Strategic Trauma-Informed Practice Manager will lead this transition, helping us move from a trauma-sensitive organisation on a journey that becomes trauma-aware, trauma-informed, and ultimately trauma-responsive.
This strategic and hands-on role will help Kinship strengthen its therapeutic offer and build the confidence and capacity of staff and kinship carers to understand trauma and the impact it has, and provide strategies to support. We are particularly interested in experience in developing trauma-informed parenting training and resources.
The postholder will play a key role in developing and manualising our trauma-informed approach across core services: Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, our Advice Service, and Peer Support Service. They will work with subject matter experts to develop trauma-informed approaches, toolkits and resources into everyday service delivery – based on the needs of kinship carers and their families.
You will need to be able to step into this role quickly, bringing your experience of building and developing trauma-informed approaches in complex services. You will have strong leadership capabilities, able to work at pace autonomously with creativity and dynamism. You will need to have excellent attention to detail.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and leading Kinship’s trauma-informed strategy, ensuring the implementation of trauma-informed principles across all service delivery (for example, using Dr Karen Treisman’s approach).
- Leading the development and manualisation of trauma-informed practice across Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, the Advice Service, and the Peer Support Service. This includes resources, approach and content.
- Supporting organisational development to embed trauma-informed values in practice, culture, policy, and leadership, working with our Head of People and Culture.
- Developing reflective practice approach to support managers to staff and volunteer resilience particularly across services. This could include a ‘train the trainer’ approach.
- Auditing current practices and recommend systems and processes to support trauma-informed service delivery.
- Developing and delivering capacity-building approaches and resources for kinship carers to help them identify and respond to trauma and mental health needs in children.
- Working collaboratively with subject matter experts to develop self-guided training, toolkits, and multimedia resources.
- Providing and leading expert input into the trauma-informed design and delivery of Kinship Connected, Kinship Reach, Advice Service and other 1-to-1 support programmes.
- Guiding frontline delivery staff to adopt trauma-informed practice, including the use of strengths-based approaches and flexible, family-led planning.
- Representing Kinship at external events and meetings to raise awareness of the services and to influence other organisations, policy and practice.

Essential knowledge, abilities, skills and experience includes:
- A qualified trauma-informed practitioner with significant experience in delivering or developing trauma-informed services.
- Experience working with kinship carers or in adoption and fostering sector.
- Proven experience applying the principles of trauma-informed care across organisations, preferably in children and family services.
- Experience in designing and delivering training and coaching for professionals and/or families on trauma and therapeutic approaches.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures focusing on contributing to a culture which values transparency, reflective practice and continuous learning.

The role
As Head of Operations, you will lead all operational functions of Foxglove. You will ensure that our finance, HR, legal compliance, fundraising, systems and internal processes enable the organisation to carry out its mission effectively. You’ll work across Foxglove and closely with leadership, as well as with external partners to build a resilient and well-governed organisation, able to manage growth and complexity while staying mission driven. This role manages one member of staff and multiple consultants.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Financial Management & Accounting
1.Oversee financial operations: budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, expenditure controls, financial reporting, payroll.
2.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements and donor / funder financial reporting obligations.
3.Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, banks, and financial service providers.
4.Ensure appropriate and best practice financial policies and controls are in place.
5.Ensure financial risk is identified and managed appropriately.
Fundraising & Development
1.Contribute to the organisation’s fundraising strategy in collaboration with the Co-Executive Directors and Head of Strategy.
2.Ensure systems are in place to track and manage grants, philanthropic donations, and other income streams.
3.Support the preparation of funding proposals and reports and ensure accurate and timely reporting to funders.
4.Support relationship management with key donors, foundations and partners.
Operational Systems & Processes
1.Develop and maintain efficient operational processes and systems (e.g. finance, HR, IT, data protection, office management).
2.Ensure proper policies and procedures are in place for procurement, vendor management, travel & expenses, and record-keeping.

Person specification

·Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with proven experience in financial oversight and reporting

Role - Zero Hours Children's Resource Worker

Finance and Operations Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR
Overseeing Operations at every level of the organisation, with line management responsibility for some of the team, Project and Workstream Coordinators (approximately 5 direct reports) plus some external consultants and contractors.

LOCATION OF THE POST HOLDER
The post holder will be predominantly remote working but will be required to attend the head office and drop-in in Manchester, drop-in spaces in Glasgow and London, and support staff members nationally. The post involves some travel throughout the UK and some work outside of office hours. All equipment required for remote working will be provided and costs for travel will be covered.
ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a Finance and Operations Manager to support the CEO in the day-to-day running of our charity. The NUM CEO develops the overall vision of the organisation, while the Operations Manager is responsible to carry out the vision.
To be successful in this role, you should have experience as a manager in a position of public trust, have excellent financial, organisational, and communications skills, as well as being a problem-solver with work experience in high-pressure work environments. The Finance and Operations Manager must be versatile in their understanding of the larger vision and as well as the fine details and tactics needed to achieve NUM's goals.
The successful candidate will work in an agile manner to ensure the charity continues to be proactive and innovative, while also being responsive to the changing landscape within the sector and the international sex worker rights and safety movement. As part of supporting the operations of NUM, the successful candidate will provide resources, information and support to NUM Managers and Coordinators across diverse projects, workstreams and teams, to achieve aspects of the organisation’s mandate of 'ending all forms of violence against sex workers' and eliminating the conditions that lead to poverty and survival sex work.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

At least 3 years' work experience as a Manager, Project or Programme Manager or similar role that requires oversight of a whole system, business, operation or organisation Experience leading remote or hybrid teams is desired. This includes time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, lead team meetings and support members to manage resources, timelines and project budgets, etc.

The Role
As a PBS Practitioner, you will work collaboratively across the East Midlands to deliver high-quality, evidence-based Positive Behaviour Support to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health conditions, and autism in supported living and care home environments.
You will ensure all interventions align with PBS frameworks, contractual obligations, and sector best practices. Your work will focus on promoting placement stability, reducing restrictive practices, and enhancing the overall quality of life for the people we support. You will also Advocate and recommend best practice and strategies to minimise behaviours of concern and reduce incidents supporting the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues.
Some of the main duties of the role include:
- Taking a leading role in implementing PBS, reducing restrictive practices and ensuring that we work within regulatory requirements, national policy and sector best practice guidance.
- Managing an active caseload across several our services in the East Midlands, including completing functional behavioural assessments and the development of PBS plans tailored to individual needs.
- Co-creating proactive, person-centred interventions focusing on skill-building, environmental adaptation, and improved quality of life.
- Provide urgent reactive PBS strategies when crises arise, minimising placement breakdowns.
- Model PBS in practice by coaching support teams and delivering bespoke training sessions to empower teams.
- Deliver clinical supervision to staff teams and individual practitioners, embedding PBS and trauma-informed approaches into everyday practice.
- Facilitate incident debrief sessions—ensuring learning, emotional support, and clear action planning following incidents.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, families, social workers, therapists, and commissioners to ensure coordinated, person-centred care.

What we are looking for
Our ideal candidate is a resilient PBS professional with experience influencing and supporting staff teams. You will be a compassionate, solution focused professional who has experience providing person-centred support for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex behaviour. You must have a good understanding of regulatory, legislative and compliance requirements, as well as legal frameworks such as the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and DOLS.
As an excellent communicator, both verbally and written, you will have the ability to work under pressure while remaining calm. IT skills and confident and confident use of computerised systems are required for this role. We are looking for someone with strong statistical abilities to be able to translate and analyse complex data.
Other Requirements: a valid driving Licence and access to a car.
Working Hours
You will be working alongside Support Workers due to the nature of the role so you will need to be available and have flexibility to work under project rotas, and to attend Clifton Place for trainings and meetings when needed.

Overall purpose
The Data and Insights Manager will be a vital part of Breaking Barriers’ Data and Innovation Team, which has overall responsibility for Breaking Barriers’ data infrastructure and data analysis (relating to clients, programmes, fundraising, corporate partners and communications). They will oversee the gathering, processing, analysis and presentation of Breaking Barriers’ data, in order to ensure we are as evidence-based and effective an organisation as possible. The Data and Insights Manager will also take ownership of various projects to improve the organisation’s CRM (Salesforce) and its integration with other applications. The successful candidate will have previous experience in CRM management, ideally having worked as a Salesforce Administrator. Overall purpose
The Employer Engagement Manager (EEM) will play a critical role in ensuring refugees supported by Breaking Barriers access meaningful, opportunities that align with client needs and labour market demand. The postholder will lead employer outreach and partnership building in priority sectors and embed consistent systems and processes that make employer engagement coordinated and impactful across the organisation. The EEM will support pathways, work placements, recruitment pipelines and workshops by ensuring employer input is actively embedded where relevant.
This is a strategic, hands-on role, the successful candidate will map and cultivate employer relationships, secure employer input into sector pathways, workshops and recruitment initiatives, translate labour market intelligence into programme improvements, and design the operational processes that enable Programmes and Corporate Partnerships to work together effectively. You will operate in a matrix environment, collaborating closely with the Programmes, Corporate Partnerships and Client Services teams but will not hold direct line-management of delivery staff.
The role is set up to be ambitious but achievable within 12 months. The priority is to build tested, repeatable employer engagement practice (relationships, processes, insight-sharing and measurable impact) that can form the foundations of a permanent employer engagement function if/when funding allows.

You will play a pivotal role supporting the Charity in several different ways.
