About you

We are looking for a proactive and visible finance professional who is able to engage and build relationships across the organisation as a pivotal member within a values-led high performing organisation. You will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of financial management awareness and a solid understanding of charity audits and statutory accounts preparation. You will have the ability to work with staff across the organisation in supporting good financial governance and oversight of financial operational matters. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will have good ability to meet deadlines, be IT literate with an emphasis on financial systems, spreadsheets, Quickbooks and Excel. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.

About the role

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis. The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.

We are seeking a full-time Supporter Engagement Coordinator to join our team. You will be a key point of contact for our audience and supporters, helping to deliver excellent customer service and ensure outstanding supporter care. Key duties and responsibilities:

Audience Engagement

• Deliver exceptional customer care, ensuring all supporters and donors are thanked promptly—whatever the channel.

• Respond swiftly and professionally to all audience and supporter enquiries by phone, email, and post.

• Serve as primary contact for database management, ensuring data accuracy to drive fundraising and engagement.

• Coordinate data selections, mailings, invitations, and content fulfilment.

• Regularly import, export, and merge data from online giving and ticketing platforms.

• Track and report performance against targets and KPIs for the Head of Fundraising & Engagement.

• Ensure best practice is followed, complying with current legislation and internal policies in relation to data protection, GDPR and gift aid processing and ensure that all activity is carried out in a legal and compliant way.

Hall Hire and Event Co-ordination

• Be the first point of contact for hall hire enquiries and manage all related admin.

• Oversee stocks, supplies, and space organisation for events.

• Lead setup and breakdown for lectures and venue lettings.

• Arrange and manage bookings for external event venues, handling all logistics.

• Organise catering for special events and meetings both at Barnard’s Inn and other venues.

• Be responsible for excellent customer care of existing and new venue hire clients.

• Organise all activity around venue hire events, including collaborating with the AV team

• Liaise and support the Head of Fundraising & Engagement over the promotion of Barnards’ Inn to increase income generation from lettings.

Other

• Working with volunteers to enable them to assist in the delivery of tasks as appropriate.

Person specification:

Essential Skills & Experience

• Customer Service Excellence: Proven experience delivering high-quality customer care, ideally in a fundraising, or educational setting. Ability to handle enquiries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
• CRM and Data Management: Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (we use Beacon) including data entry, segmentation, and reporting. Experience with data imports/exports and maintaining data accuracy.
• Event Coordination: Experience planning and delivering events, including logistics, venue liaison, catering, and AV coordination. Comfortable acting as Duty Manager and supporting evening lectures and events.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage supporters, respond to enquiries, and write engaging responses.
• Digital Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Eventbrite, and online giving platforms. Comfortable using digital tools to manage bookings, communications, and supporter journeys.

Entry level Health and Safety qualification or working towards this is essential along with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out assessments. 

Key Skills and Attributes:  

• Practical experience of a broad range of facilities work, including Hard and Soft Facilities matters across multiple sites. 

• Management of third parties’ contractors hired to complete facilities tasks, using method statements, risk assessments and a permit to work scheme. 

• Proven experience of improving supplier value through contract review, market research and contract negotiation 

• Entry level Health and Safety qualification (IOSH Managing Safely Certificate or similar) and working towards NEBOSH qualification, with up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and experience of carrying out Risk Assessments, DSE Assessments, etc.

Turner’s House is a small independent museum in Twickenham housed in a Grade II* listed building, open to the public since 2017. This is a key role in helping secure its long-term sustainability. The Partnerships Director will be responsible for leading all income-generating and related partnership activity (fundraising, commercial hires, marketing/PR, retail, commercial events, donor cultivation etc.), as well as being hands-on in ensuring the House is open and running smoothly, including keyholder responsibilities (opening/closing, occasional weekend or evening work). • Lead and deliver a portfolio income strategy: trusts & foundations grants, individuals (Circles and Patrons), corporates/sponsorship, commercial events, commercial hires.
• Write, prepare, submit and manage grant applications and funding bids; manage relationships with funders (reporting, stewardship).
• Identify new revenue streams (e.g. venue hire for private/events, retail opportunities, location hires etc).

What You'll Do:​​

Lead the Enterprise team to provide an outstanding level of service to events clients, visitors, including the families programme, and deliver excellence in the Café Restaurant franchise and the Shop. You will work enthusiastically as part of the Cathedral’s team of staff and volunteers to help deliver our vision. ​

Some of the Key Responsibilities of the role:​​

• Events

  • To direct the events team in organising the extensive events programme, maximise the spare capacity of the Cathedral building and the adjacent grounds, thereby generating income as required by the Cathedral budget.

  Café Restaurant

About the role

· Lead the coordination and delivery of a vital community-based infant feeding peer support service across Newham

· Lead community engagement to broaden the project’s reach and relevance to parents of all backgrounds

· Recruit, support and coordinate a team of volunteer peer supporters.

· Coordinate, collate, enter on our case management system and analyse data and feedback from Peer Supporters and service users in a timely manner, adhering to NCT data protection policies and processes

· Provide on-the-ground support within the community as needed, helping parents through the early stages of parenthood.

About you

You will be passionate about supporting parents and families, helping them navigate the life-changing experience of early parenthood. Be confident in community engagement, building connections with parents from diverse backgrounds. Have experience of coordinating volunteers, including recruiting, managing and providing ongoing support. We’re on the lookout for a talented and enthusiastic Events Coordinator to join our growing team. As an Events Coordinator, you’ll support the planning and logistics of our events, working closely with the Events Manager and the wider team to ensure every detail is covered. From liaising with venues and suppliers to managing travel arrangements and volunteers, your organisational skills and ability to keep things running on time will be essential. You’ll also have the chance to work directly with participants, ensuring their experience is top-notch from start to finish. The role will involve some travel, so a full UK driving licence is a must.

This is a hands-on role that requires you to think on your feet and adapt quickly to changing needs. You’ll be involved in every stage of event planning, from the initial idea through to the final delivery. Managing budgets, overseeing logistics, and ensuring all event materials are organised and ready will be key elements of your day-to-day work. You’ll also be a key point of contact for volunteers and suppliers, ensuring smooth communication and efficient operations to guarantee the success of each event.

You will be contracted to our London hub, Haig House. Location: Age UK RBH Wanstead Activity Centre ‘Allan Burgess Centre’ E11 2DL

 

Salary: £ 13.85 per hour

Working Hours: Part Time 4 hours per week on a zero hours contract

Specifically Fridays  10am – 2pm

An ability to cover additional hours on other days of the week Mon-Thur , 10am -2pm, for planned annual leave would be essential.

Age UK Redbridge, Barking & Havering offers an activity centre to residents of Redbridge aged 55 or above, to use for exercise and craft among other classes, and to enjoy light refreshments and a daily, 2 course, freshly prepared lunch.

A part time cook is required, to provide lunches (main course and dessert) and work alongside a small team to include; two other part time cooks and approximately 12 volunteers.  The centre is overseen by an onsite manager who will look after the day to day running of the centre, and who line manages the cooks and volunteers.

The ability to work independently and with the help of a kitchen assistant volunteer is essential in order to prepare between 10 and 30 meals per day. We are looking for a qualified, experienced cook, with recent experience. You will need to have proof of relevant Food Hygiene training and an understanding of different dietary requirements, as well as allergy legislation and health and safety knowledge relevant to Kitchen work.

You would be expected to assist the manager in planning meals to keep within budgets and to assist with the preparation for special event occasion menus or other ad hoc catering that may be required.
