About the role:

This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office near Old Street and in co-location at Kings College Hospital. You will:

• Implement effective ways of working with victims to increase safety & reduce harm
• Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse
• Run group training sessions & share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital

This tole is based in Cumbria. Turning the Spotlight is a busy service supporting families experiencing domestic abuse including perpetrators. You will manage case workers and facilitators in our dedicated healthy relationships programme.

We have a new opportunity for a specialist Dual Diagnosis Worker to join the team in Croydon on a 12 month fixed term contract. OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up realistic and flexible strengths-based support plans, working closely with colleagues and support teams to support and advise on interventions and approaches to meet resident/participant needs.
  Include appropriate substance misuse interventions within support plans for those with co-occurring substance dependence and mental health need devising systematic plans for care; implementing this plan; coordinating the input of others and evaluating effectiveness.
• Undertake joint holistic assessments and risk assessments with residents/participants to help determine service and support needs and identify where these can be met. Provide outcome-based support measured against goals, recovery, and achievements.
• Encourage residents/participants to identify and define their own goals and work towards being resilient and independent as possible, support with reducing reliance on clinical interventions and hospitalisations. 
• Promote active involvement of those with dual diagnosis, assist residents/participants to identify their own strengths, personal interests and goals and support them to access and participate in activities of their choice.
• Undertake time-limited, SMART, and a range of evidence-based interventions such as 1-1’s, including harm minimisation, increasing awareness and motivation through stages of change and relapse prevention.
• Support in creating and maintaining a welcoming, psychologically informed home environment for residents/participants, ensuring a continuous focus on safety, health, and wellbeing.
• Positively promote and support connections with local communities and boroughs of SIG’s services and liaise with other teams to maintain and share knowledge and links to support people to access resources which include print, personal and digital.
• Develop community links and liaise regularly with a range of agencies and individuals across voluntary and third sector services in the community including but not limited to; drug and alcohol services, supported employment schemes, gyms and healthy living programmes, recovery colleges, and benefits and advice agencies.
• Act as a role model for staff of all disciplines and grades working with people with co-occurring mental health, alcohol and/or drug problems. 
• Share knowledge and skills to help enhance awareness around dual diagnosis and best practice, challenges, and services available with other services of Social Interest Group.

Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position. 

KEY CRITERIA

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge, understanding and experience of working with people of complex backgrounds. Ideally ex-offenders, those with enduring mental health, substance misuse and challenging behaviours
• Experience of assessing needs and strengths, and supporting people with dual diagnosis and complex needs
• Previous experience in a similar role, providing holistic assessments and support for people experiencing mental illness who use substances
• IT Proficiency, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to navigate and learn new case management systems and other types of organisational software
• Able to recognise ill health and additional support and need for interventions
• Knowledge of the interactions between mental health problems and drug and alcohol use and the issues facing people trying to stabilise their situation
• Applied knowledge of the principles of risk assessment and risk management, particularly in relation to harm minimisation
• Ability to engage those who may be hard to reach, able to influence and negotiate positive outcomes with others

What we would like, but not essential:

• Experience in delivering training in motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Theory informed approaches and other relevant recovery models

We are looking for a Support Worker to work as part of a service that provides late-night and early-morning outreach for women who are sex working and supports women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Note: This post is exempt under Sch 9 Pt 1 of the Equality Act 2010 and is only open to female applicants.

Position: Centre Support and Outreach Worker

Salary: £26,800 - 30,800

Hours: Full time, 36 hours per week (Working pattern includes 1 outreach shift per week, which

About the role

The Post Holder will work within Spires’ Women’s Service. This service is comprised of:

A dedicated nighttime outreach service to support women who are involved in street-based sex working. This includes follow up work, casework, and multi-agency working.

Centre-based support for women with complex needs who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This also includes casework and supporting Spires’ Housing and Homelessness team.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Supporting a caseload of clients

· Completing one nighttime outreach shift a week (this is carried out in the Spires car)

· Supporting in the running of Spires’ women’s drop in services

· Supporting Spires’ Housing and Homelessness service where required

· Representing Spires to external stakeholders at multi-agency meetings

· Ensuring detailed and accurate records are kept of all client work.

About you

You will have previous experience of working with people exhibiting complex needs and people experiencing homelessness. Ideally you will have experiencing supporting women with some of the following support needs: substance addiction, mental health needs, domestic violence, no recourse to public funds and sex working.

You will also bring with you the following skills and experience:

· Experience of challenging appropriately and maintaining clear and appropriate boundaries.

· Networking and effectively liaising with specialist service providers or agencies in order to establish and/or improve access to services for clients.

· Sound understanding of the issues faced by women and other individuals involved in sex work.

· Understanding of the legislation around supporting the victims of Domestic Violence.

· Understanding of the effects of trauma on people and how to work in a trauma informed way.

· Good understanding of safeguarding practices in outreach work, social care and/or day centre environment.

· Good understanding of confidentiality and working with sensitive information.

About the organisation

The organisation was established in response to homelessness, which had become a growing concern in Streatham in the late 1980s. Initially providing a hot meal, clothing and advice to those who came for help, they have developed into an organisation that provides a range of services, including the Housing and Homeless Team and Woman’s Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a refuge worker within a refuge service, supporting women and their children fleeing domestic abuse. Your responsibilities will include supporting and advocating for women and children, taking part in the on-call rota, managing day to day running of the refuge; health & safety, safeguarding and supporting the service and deputy manager.

The Family and Youth Engagement Worker is a new role within our organisation, which will provide additional support to an existing team working in London providing comprehensive support to young people and families living with HIV.

The role of Complex Needs Project Worker is a specialist role, designed to work with people who may be more difficult to reach and establish working relationships with.  As such, you will role model good practice for working with those who have experienced multiple disadvantage by adopting a trauma informed approach.

Within this setting, you will also work to establish a culture of co-production where residents are at the forefront of the work that is carried out, helping to promote autonomy and build individual confidence and interpersonal skills.

The rota for the post is earlies (8 am - 4 pm) and lates (2.30pm - 10.30pm).

About you:

• Previous experience of working with female rough sleepers or people with complex mental health, physical health or substance use support needs. 
• An understanding of working with people using person-centred approaches and working collaboratively within a harm minimisation and recovery framework.
• A flexible, innovative and creative approach to working with a sometimes hard to engage and challenging client group, is also required.

You will work a shift of 8pm-7am on a four night on, four night off rota. Although these are long shifts, you will get four days off after, which can provide a great work life balance.

To work with children (aged 5 – 16) and their families to provide trauma informed support with the aim of reducing trauma symptoms, rebuilding relationships fractured by domestic abuse and helping the non-abusive parent to understand the impact of domestic abuse on their children so they are better able to support them.

DIRECT WORK WITH CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES

• To understand and assess the needs of children and families and devise a child-focused support plan
• To utilise evidence-based approaches to strengthen attachments and rebuilt relationships with the non-abusive parent that have been fractured as a result of domestic abuse
• To utilise trauma informed ways of working to reduce trauma symptoms and distress in children
• To work with families in order increase stability and reduce risk 5
• To assist the non-abusive parent / carer in their understanding of the impact of domestic abuse so that they can respond appropriately to the emotional needs of the children
• To attend and initiate mutli-agency meetings where required
• To ensure that children and families receive holistic support that is appropriate to their needs, including advocacy and referring to other services
• To deliver programmes of child-focused group work
• To understand risk and safeguarding issues and act appropriately in relation to risk at all times.
• To work within national, county and ESDAS guidelines, particularly in relation to good practice regarding children
• To provide written reports and case studies to senior management as and when required.

You will receive support and training and a competitive starting salary of £20,000 for a 28 hour week. Reduced hours may be possible by agreement. This is a two-year fixed term post with the possibility of becoming permanent after two years.

We are looking for someone who will work with professionalism, empathy and kindness, have knowledge of working with children and families who have experienced trauma due to abuse and have a trauma informed, child focused approach. Experience of working with complex family situations where there are safeguarding concerns with the ability to assess risk is required.

Royal Trinity Hospice is the local hospice for southwest and central London. We provide free specialist palliative and end of life care for people living in Wandsworth and parts of Lambeth, Merton, Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Richmond.

The organisation has recently embarked on a new five-year strategy and this exciting role will play a pivotal part in the overall delivery of the technology aspects. The successful appointee of this role will sit within a small but busy IT team and will be responsible for first class support of Royal Trinity Hospice’s customers and systems.

Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the Senior IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support services to the staff, volunteers and service users at the hospice, and will support the IT Operations Manager in their day-to-day activities, ensuring the IT service is delivered to the agreed standards, as well as providing mentorship and team-leadership to the IT Support Technicians within the team.

What you’ll be doing

The primary duties of the Senior IT Support Technician include, but are not limited to:

• working independently and as part of the wider team, the post holder will be responsible for fulfilling service requests and resolving calls within agreed timeframes.

Skills and experience required

• Excellent interpersonal skills, as the role necessitates advanced relationship building and communication skills to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in a similar role in an IT team following ITIL processes/practices.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows 10 OS.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AzureAD and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server OS, Exchange and Active Directory.
• A sound understanding of network and server infrastructure.
• Knowledge of IT security software solutions.
• Knowledge of various end user computing hardware e.g. Laptops, PC’s, Phones etc.
• Experience of Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp is desirable but not essential.
• Able to work to SLA’s and KPI’s.
• A strong ability to fault find customer issues remotely, in person or over the phone, ensuring that outcomes are documented within support tickets.

The West London Women’s Service is a specialist gender and trauma informed Assessment Centre for women with complex needs who are at risk of, or have experienced domestic abuse, violence against women and girls (VAWG); and have multiple disadvantages.

We have a great opportunity for someone interested in working as part of an innovate women’s only service in an Assessment and Reconnection role and becoming part of this exciting team achieving positive outcomes to support women in their recovery and move on journey.

In this role you will:

• Be part of a busy team environment working closely with women new to, or at risk of rough sleeping.
• Provide a personalised case management service to clients, turning assessment recommendations into practical action plans which fully involves the client. 
• Build and maintain effective relationships to support clients throughout their recovery. 
• Develop a knowledge of relevant legislation such as, welfare benefit and housing legislation. 
• Work on a weekly rota including early, mid and late shifts (some evening and weekend work may be required).

For this role staff can claim an additional 20% pay premium for hours worked between 8pm and 8am Monday to Friday, and all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday. 

About you

To be successful in this role you will:

• Experience managing complex and difficult situations in relations to people, have good interpersonal and listening skills, patience and resilience and the ability to adapt to new situations
• Great communication skills, with the ability to network and build effective relationships with a variety people.

Thames Reach’s Outreach teams operate across London and helps those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond rapidly and work flexibly to reach people. Individuals are assessed to identify their support needs and support plans are created, including work to obtain identification, access health services and refer to other specialist agencies, including those offering immigration support.

• Complete outreach shifts, providing a rapid response to referrals for people who are rough sleeping across four districts (Mole Valley district council, Tandridge district council, Epsom and Ewell Borough Council, Reigate and Banstead borough council).

About the role:

The post holder will work within The Passage’s Community Services as a Complex Case Outreach Worker and will lead on case management for people experiencing homelessness who are presenting in the footprints in which the team operate and/or who are accessing the Resource Centre. The post-holder will support individuals with substance use support needs and/or mental health issues and will lead on work with clients who are experiencing alcohol and/or drug dependencies and who may also be experiencing mental health problems or other health or social care needs.

Main duties:

• To manage a caseload of clients presenting within the footprints in which the Engagement & Outreach service operate and individuals who are accessing The Passage Resource Centre. To support clients with complex needs, supporting them to identify and work towards recovery and away from homelessness.
• Carry out assessments, case management, support planning and the delivery of interventions for clients including those experiencing mental health and/or substance misuse issues who are multiply-disadvantaged in their homelessness.
• Provide assertive outreach and engagement with street-based service users presenting with complex needs and barriers to engagement. Carry out monthly street-based audits to inform reporting and analysis of service outcomes.
• Support clients who are rough sleeping or involved in day time activity in the footprints in which the team operate to end their homelessness by linking them in with appropriate internal and external support services relevant to their needs. To provide support to clients who are accommodated, but may require ongoing support in order to maintain this accommodation, linking them in to appropriate local services.

General responsibilities:

• In conjunction with your line manager to continuously develop the role to ensure that all tasks are being undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the strategic aims and objectives of The Passage.
• To participate in internal/external meetings as required, attend training events, conferences and other functions as necessary.
• To participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal, and help in identifying your own job-related development and training needs.
• To ensure that all The Passage policies and procedures are being adhered to, particularly those relating to Code of Practice and Confidentiality.
• To contribute to the effective implementation of The Passage’s Diversity and Equality Policy as it affects both The Passage and its work with vulnerable adults.
• To at all times undertake your role in a professional manner maintaining a high quality standard of work, and to always work in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of The Passage.

Desired experience:

• Significant experience of delivering support services to socially excluded clients in a street based/day centre or similar setting.
• Significant experience of working in a mental health and/or substance misuse setting, working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
• Experience of providing a fully sensitive and responsive service to clients in a psychologically informed manner.
• Experience of working cooperatively with external partner agencies, e.g. Police, Social Services, NHS, as well as housing providers and voluntary agencies.
• Experience of assessing client needs and supporting clients to address their needs through assertive outreach and case management.
• Experience of working in a client-centered recovery focused approach and the necessary professional social skills to initiate and maintain constructive and appropriate relations with clients and agencies.

• Understanding the support needs of the street populations with complex health, and housing needs.
• Knowledge of services and legislative environment regarding housing, health, work and immigration as it relates to people experiencing homelessness.
• Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing and collate and evidence work and outcomes using case management databases.
• Knowledge of Psychologically Informed Frameworks.
• An understanding of the causes of homelessness and, in particular, the needs of people who are multiply-disadvantaged in their homelessness.
• Knowledge of housing pathways available to dual diagnosis clients and how to access them.
• A working knowledge of how to support people with either substance or mental health needs.
