The Role

What will I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for a range of activities, including:

• Reaching diverse public audiences across the UK and Ireland, strengthening public understanding and appreciation of physics through strategic, impactful, and inclusive engagement activities

• Leading fundraising to support the IOP's public engagement and public dialogue work

Projects you may work on include:

• Overseeing the IOP’s UK and Ireland public engagement and dialogue programme, ensuring activities align with societal challenges and/or physics themes (e.g., climate change, health)
• The IOP’s Limit Less initiative which aims to break down barriers that can put off young people from underrepresented backgrounds from pursuing physics
• Administering the IOP’s Public Engagement Grants Scheme (PEGS)

Who will I work with?

You’ll work closely with a range of colleagues and stakeholders, including:

• Multiple IOP teams, including EDI, policy and public affairs, communications and marketing, membership and national teams
• The IOP's Business Development Group to help shape the IOP's overall approach to fundraising

• Equipping members with the tools and resources to engage the public effectively through a member-led approach to public engagement
• Working in partnership with organisations in and beyond STEM

Ideally, we hope you’ll apply if you bring:

Essential:

• A track record of designing and delivering high quality and wide-reaching public engagement in partnership with other organisations and with a track record of reaching different public audiences (ideally within a membership organisation)
• Experience of managing high performing teams and collaborating with peers
• Experience with and in depth understanding of audience research and acting on it to ensure diversity of reach
• Experience of budgeting and performance management of programmes

Nice to have:

• Experience of identifying risks associated with projects and activities and implementing effective mitigation plans

This role will help to build relationships with over 80 businesses across all industries including healthcare, finance, insurance, digital, sustainability and more, generating more than £420k each year to support Hospice UK’s work.

The role

You will support all aspects of Hospice UK’s commercial partnership activity, helping to build, steward and develop long‑term relationships with corporate partners, who want to collaborate with hospices. This includes working directly with organisations to secure sponsorship, exhibition space and partnership opportunities. Personalised communications will help move businesses from one‑off activity to longer‑term strategic partnerships.

A key part of the role involves conferences and events. You’ll help secure exhibitors and sponsors for our annual National Conference (1,000+ attendees) and our one‑day conferences, supporting activity from launch through to delivery, including marketing materials, pipeline management, proactive sales and administration.

Purpose of the role

The Finance (FM) contributes to ENN’s vision through strategic management and governance of its financial resources and budgets.

The Finance Manager is responsible for finance strategy, planning and oversight, reporting, regulatory compliance and aligning finance strategies with organisational goals and operations.  The FM is a member of the management team, provides key insights to support business decisions, liaises with the board of trustees and holds the position of Company Secretary.

Essential

· Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)

· Extensive experience of leading financial management for organisations in the non-profit sector, with a thorough understanding of charity specific financial obligations.

· Demonstrated experience in reporting to and engaging with management teams and/or trustees on matters related to financial risk management, including presenting complex financial data, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.

Finance Director

The role

The Finance Director will play a pivotal role in ensuring Action Together remains financially robust, sustainable, and compliant as a charity and employer. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will partner closely with the CEO and Board to shape a resilient business model, strengthen financial governance, and provide strategic direction that supports our mission and values.

You will lead and develop a high performing finance function, oversee annual budgeting and long‑term financial planning, and ensure high‑quality financial insight is available to the CEO, SLT and Board. The Finance Director has responsibility for the production of monthly accounts package, annual audit and statutory accounts, risk management, payroll assurance, investment strategy, and organisational compliance with Companies House, the Charity Commission, and all financial governance requirements.

You will play an integral role in supporting strong governance, working closely with the Treasurer and Board to provide clear, timely, and insightful financial performance updates, forecasts, and risk assessments.

You will also work with the Treasurer to shape investment strategy, strengthen financial controls, and uphold governance across all statutory, regulatory, and organisational requirements

About the role and its purpose

· You will be responsible for Advantage’s income and business development activity

Key tasks & responsibilities

Income generation

· Use your skills, creativity and experience to develop our income generation strategy

· Develop ideas for creative sponsorship and funding opportunities, putting together and submitting proposal and tender documents; identifying suitable partners; presenting proposals and closing deals

· Converting pilot and seed-funded contracts to longer-term sustainable contracts e.g. current Postcode Lottery agreement in the North-East converting to a long-term contract with North-East and North Cumbria ICB (more information to this can be given at interview stage)

· Support drawing up and negotiating contracts and ensuring delivery

· Work with stakeholders and our internal team to scope and develop exciting new opportunities

· Develop and steward fundraising and donor relationships in order to increase income

· Deliver on agreed income targets

Partnerships and Networks

· Build and maintain a network of strategic key external contacts that can support Advantage Mentoring’s work. Stakeholders will be from private, public and third sector groups. Take an active role in representing Advantage Mentoring to appropriate Trusts and Foundations

· Develop a work plan for private sector and philanthropic engagement to achieve a joined up and coherent approach to engaging with commercial organisations across multiple outcomes (financial, brand awareness, influencing policy and support-in-kind)

Communication, marketing and external relations

· Work with Communications colleagues to create materials that will attract new strategic partners, for example highly targeted work aimed at specific sectors being clear about the value of partnering with Advantage Mentoring

· Represent Advantage Mentoring with external audiences (in the media, at events, in meetings with senior stakeholders)

Strategic Leadership

· Develop and implement Advantage’s income generation strategy and policies, as a part of the Leadership Team

· Ensure that partner organisations understand and commit to our values

Management

· Oversee the business development pipeline and ensure that enough proposals are being submitted to make the achievement of income targets probable

· Provide income generation information to the Managing Director and participate in Executive Team meetings and Board meetings

The Role

You will be responsible for planning and delivering marketing campaigns across a range of channels, including social media, email newsletters and the website, ensuring our communications are clear, engaging and consistent. You will play an important role in telling the story of the charity’s impact and helping more care workers, supporters and partners connect with our work. 

Events will be a central part of the role. You will coordinate and deliver a varied programme of activities including fundraising events, sector conferences, networking opportunities and national campaigns such as Professional Care Workers’ Week. You will be confident managing event logistics, working with venues and suppliers, coordinating speakers and partners, and ensuring events are well organised and professionally delivered. You will enjoy creating engaging and memorable experiences that help supporters feel connected to the charity’s work. 

You will work closely with the fundraising team to support campaigns and partnerships, helping to create engaging opportunities that encourage supporters and organisations to get involved. The role will involve building positive relationships with partners and sponsors and representing the charity at meetings and events across the sector. 

About You 

You will be a confident communicator who enjoys working with people and finding new ways to engage supporters, partners and care workers in the work of the charity. 

You will have experience delivering marketing campaigns and organising events, and you will enjoy bringing ideas to life from concept through to delivery. We’re currently looking for a Senior Workplace Officer, offered on a fixed term basis of 12 months to help us deliver our mission. This a full-time position working 35 hours per week with flexible days that suit individual needs while delivering on business needs. This role will be mostly based in our London office with weekly flexibility where practical.

The Role

What will I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for a range of activities, including:

• Act as ‘the conductor’ of our rented office and meeting room spaces working with both internal and external stakeholders to provide consistently positive, welcoming, and inclusive experience.
• Directly line managing the receptionist and the AV technician, as well as oversee temporary or permanently based contractors to meet the building resourcing needs.
• Budget management inclusive of actuate recharging, invoicing external companies, and spending monitoring.
• Oversee the delivery of the front of house service and standards of the IOP staff office through supplier relationship management, maintaining stock levels, and effective logistics tracking.
• Ensure compliance and health and safety regulations, safeguarding requirements, security, alcohol licence requirements and any other relevant IOP policies.

Projects you may work on include:

• Being part of the organisation committees for all IOP events working closely with the departments involved.
• Review of our building revenue and how we can maximise this without conflicting with IOP operations.
• Space management and storage both onsite and externally.

Based in North Kensington, Dalgarno Trust is a vibrant community centre supporting local residents of all ages through health, wellbeing, education, training, and youth programmes. As Head of Fundraising and Development, you will be a key member of our Core Team, working closely with the Chief Executive to secure and manage the resources that enable our work. You will lead on researching and writing funding bids, managing relationships with funders, and ensuring that monitoring, evaluation, and reporting requirements are met. You will also play a central role in diversifying income through donations, sponsorships, commercial activity, and use of our assets.

Alongside fundraising, you will lead our marketing, communications, and promotion, keeping our website, social media, and noticeboards up to date, and ensuring our work is clearly and effectively communicated to the wider community. The role also includes administrative and HR support, such as assisting with recruitment processes, timesheets, training coordination, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice.
