ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a collaborative Head of Operations to help  translate and operationalize organizational strategy. You’ll manage internal infrastructure with oversight of administrative and operational functions; risk management, employment practices, fundraising processes, information systems, compliance and policy. You will be working with a team of 3 on the Internal Affairs and in close collaboration with the five co-Executive Directors and the Finance Director. 

We are looking for a strategic thinker and problem solver with a bias for action who has a passion for building equitable systems that support a close knit team, collaborative mindset for building trust across the organization and an appetite for developing mechanisms for effective horizontal learning. 

Knowledge of Doc Society’s mission and work and enthusiasm for public purpose and independent storytelling  is embedded in the role.

You should be within regular commuting distance to central London, where we have an office.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Maintaining operational effectiveness: Support standardisation of appropriate processes across the organisation while maintaining its agile profile; present the executive directors with detailed company operations analysis and solutions where appropriate; 

• CRM: Manage the implementation and ongoing effectiveness of the new CRM system

• Manage risk factors across the organisation: evaluate risk factors when making critical business decisions; maintain the organisation’s risk register; increase the adoption of secure working practices, including cybersecurity, data retention policies and implementation across the team

• Managing the legal functions of the organisation: including HR and employment policies in the US & UK and working with the Internal Affairs team and  legal support to manage the administration of all contracts  and fiscal sponsorships with grantees

• Internal communications: Focusing on lateral learning and communications across the team in a hybrid environment; 

• People management: lead the Internal Affairs team to support the organisation’s understanding and implementation of internal policies; help colleagues to develop and grow their skillsets (3 direct reports)

• Compliance: Ensure compliance and oversee Board governance across multiple non-profit entities

We’ve made substantial progress in recent years, with improvements and expansions to our delivery model and significant growth in our staff team. In Spring 2026, we will launch our refreshed organisational strategy, which will shape our work over the next three years and beyond. To support this growth, we are recruiting for a full time National Director of Operations to lead our delivery across England, Wales, Northern Ireland, and emerging community settings, with an ambition to reach Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in scaling our impact and strengthening our presence across the criminal justice system and beyond.

As National Director of Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for our learning programmes in prisons and community settings. You will ensure high‑quality, consistent and accessible delivery, overseeing a team of six Regional Managers and a wider workforce of around 65 staff, volunteers and over 2,000 peer mentors trained each year.

Working closely with senior colleagues, partner organisations and national bodies such as HMPPS, you will drive programme excellence, innovation and partnership working. You will also play a key role in new business development, operational strategy, contractual delivery and ensuring we can reliably demonstrate the impact of our work.

The role requires an experienced operational leader with a deep commitment to improving outcomes for people facing disadvantage. You will bring:

• Senior leadership experience in a complex, multi‑site environment.
• A track record of delivering large-scale programmes and leading distributed teams.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem‑solving and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience working with statutory bodies or large public-sector partners (e.g. HMPPS).
• Excellent judgement, communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels.

This is a home-based role but will require travel around the UK including overnight stays. This role is 5 days per week (35 hours) with working days/hours to be mutually agreed in line with business needs.

The Role

The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership, operational management and external representation for the charity. What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a candidate with:

● Senior leadership experience or aligned and transferable experience and skills in a charity, membership organisation or similar environment.

● Knowledge and experience of fundraising, membership growth, partnership working and charity operations.

● The ability to inspire staff, trustees, volunteers, members and supporters.

Working Arrangements

This is a permanent role, offered as either:

● Part-time: 4 days per week, or.

● Full-time: 37 hours per week.

The salary is £50,000 per annum FTE, with part-time hours paid pro rata.

The role is based at Canal Wharf, Eshton Road, Gargrave, BD23 3PN, with some flexibility around working hours and location by agreement. Regular travel across the Yorkshire Dales and occasional evening and weekend working will be required. Ideally, the successful candidate will live in, or within approximately 30 miles of, the perimeter of the Yorkshire Dales.

We offer:

● 22 days annual leave, rising to 27 days after five years’ service, plus English bank holidays, pro rata for part-time hours.

● Additional paid leave over the Christmas and New Year office closure.

● An enhanced employer pension contribution of 5% via NEST.

Lightbox Gallery & Museum is entering an ambitious new phase as we prepare for our 20th anniversary in 2027. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced and initiative-taking fundraiser to help shape the organisation’s future by developing new income streams and leading our anniversary campaign, Lightbox20.

You will take ownership of the campaign activity across the organisation - developing strategy, building relationships with donors and partners, and delivering income to agreed targets. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Fundraising Leadership

• Lead the delivery of the Lightbox20 anniversary campaign, creating compelling cases for support, preparing fundraising collateral, and engaging supporters and stakeholders.
• Deliver an ambitious fundraising campaign with clear targets that is aligned with organisational goals.
• Identify and develop new fundraising opportunities, partnerships, and income streams, including the Big Give campaign for Giving Tuesday December 2026.

Relationship and pipeline management

• Collaborate closely with the Trustees and Director to identify, build, and manage relationships with individual donors, supporters and prospects.
• Develop cultivation and stewardship plans, including face-to-face meetings, events, and personalised engagement.

Event support

Position Summary

BGCI is seeking an experienced, committed and strategic Director of Conservation to provide leadership across the organisation’s policy, conservation prioritisation and conservation action portfolio. The postholder will translate BGCI’s 2026–2030 Strategic Framework into coherent programmes, partnerships, monitoring systems and resource mobilisation, ensuring that BGCI’s work delivers measurable outcomes for plant conservation, ecological restoration and community resilience.

About the Role

As Clinical Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of the clinic, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Oversight of all clinical areas and standards
• Leadership, supervision, and safeguarding of the nursing team
• Coordinating doctors, surgeons, and anaesthetists
• Acting as the main point of contact for clinical and safeguarding matters
• Contributing as a core member of the clinic’s supervisory team

You will be supported by well-established protocols, robust support systems, and a bespoke training programme designed around your clinical background. Prior experience in sexual and reproductive health is welcomed but not essential, as full specialist training will be provided.

We are seeking to appoint a UK Education Manager to join our small team which is based across our Bolton and London offices. This is a 18 months fixed-term contract with the intention to transition to a permanent contract based in Bolton, working 37.5 hours a week (7.5 hours per day x 5 days per week).

JOB PURPOSE

The UK Education Manager provides operational leadership and supports strategic direction for BPNA’s UK education portfolio. The role is accountable for the short-course programme (about 36 courses per year), the annual conference, distance learning support, Instructor Training Day, new course development and faculty development. The post oversees budget responsibility for UK Education and Conference income, which together represent a substantial proportion of BPNA’s annual turnover.

This role is based at the Bolton office, where you will lead two of the BPNA Education team while working and liaising with the Education Content Co-Ordinator, based in the London office

The post-holder is an active member of the BPNA Secretariat Management Team, and serves as Secretary to the Education, Quality & Standards Committee and related steering groups. The role requires leadership, sound judgement and a hands-on, highly organised approach to complex programme delivery.

ABOUT YOU

This role would suit an organised, efficient and practical person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good deal of common sense.  You will also have diplomatic skills and the ability to build good relationships.  You will need to be flexible, have an ability to problem-solve on-site and online, organise highly educated people whilst remaining calm and maintaining a sense of humour.

We are looking for someone to join our team who will contribute to maintaining and developing our customer focused ethos.

While this role is primarily based in Bolton, there will be some UK travel with overnight stays to support in-person courses. We offer time off in lieu or overtime paid for additional hours worked.

This could vary week to week. You should anticipate spending an increased amount of time in the office during your probationary period.
