The role

The role of Executive Assistant is needed to provide high-quality executive support to the Chief Executive and Senior Leadership Team. This role will oversee complex diary coordination and management, stakeholder support and communications, event planning, database management and administration for the Board of Trustees.

You’ll provide an expert administrative and coordination service to the CEO, liaising with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally. You’ll work reactively in response to changing priorities, as well as proactively, identifying ways to streamline communications, activities and engagements. You’ll be familiar with correspondence priorities, methods and composition, so that in the absence of the CEO, you can keep things moving and ensure that key stakeholders are attended to. 

You’ll have a strong personal assistance and administrative background, preferably in the charity sector. You’ll be confident in juggling multiple workstreams and communicating with all levels of stakeholders. You’ll be patient, understanding and an attentive team player.

This role will be predominantly remote, however, some occasional travel to our London office (Vauxhall) will be required.

Salary: £27,000 per annum.

About the role

This new role will be part of our Supporter Engagement team, which includes Special and Challenge Events Fundraising, Community Fundraising, Individual Giving and Supporter Care. Our Special Events programme has expanded significantly in recent years, and we
have ambitious plans as part of our new three-year strategy. As part of this, we organise a diverse range of fundraising events, including a Comedy Night, Garden Party, Sports Quiz, Carol Service and Gala dinner.

Working closely with the Head of Supporter Engagement, the Special Events Officer will play a key role in developing and managing our special events programme. This includes overseeing multiple aspects of event planning and execution, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications team to produce high-quality event materials and ensuring that every event runs smoothly. The Opportunity:

This is where this new role comes in: The Head of Fundraising will play a crucial role in supporting the stewardship of the current donors while also securing the vital resources needed to realise our bold ambition and help us transform the lives of millions of young refugees and conflict affected youth across the globe.

Essential experience:

• Proven experience in a senior fundraising management role within the non-profit sector, ideally within international development.

• A proven track record of success in fundraising, particularly in developing and executing complex fundraising strategies for a growing non-profit organisation.

• Experience developing and implementing multi-year income generation plans.

• A strong history of securing six-figure, multi-year grants and contracts in the UK and internationally, with an annual income generation of £1m+.

• Senior-level experience managing relationships with multiple, diverse funders and donors.

• Experience writing successful partnership bids, grant proposals, cases for support, and theories of change.

• Experience in leading change in a growing organisation.

• At least three years of experience leading and managing a team, with a track record of developing and supporting staff.

What we offer:

This full time, fully remote position offers a salary of £50,000-55,000 if you are a UK resident. If you reside in a different location, the salary will be adjusted accordingly. We are seeking a Fundraising Executive to join our London team on a 12 Month Contract.

The Fundraising Executive is responsible for supporting participant registration and income growth within Endurance Events and Friends and Family fundraising.

They will deliver Endurance Stewardship Journeys and represent Movember at third-party endurance events, providing hands-on support to inspire and engage participants. They will also support both acquisition and retention of Friends and Family Mo’s leading up to and including the Movember campaign.

They will contribute to achieving annual fundraising targets by working collaboratively across teams, ensuring our supporters receive outstanding experiences which keep them coming back to the charity.

For this role, you’ll need:

• 2+ years’ experience in a fundraising role
• Proven track record of meeting income targets

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Finance and Operations, the Financial Controller will lead IIED’s core finance operations, ensuring integrity in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and sound financial controls. As a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, you will manage financial operations, audit, balance sheet oversight, and regulatory compliance, while driving improvements in systems, processes, and reporting.

You will lead and mentor a team of finance professionals covering financial accounting, treasury, transactional finance and statutory compliance, and work closely with colleagues across programmes and operations to ensure strong financial stewardship and timely, accurate financial reporting.

About You

To be considered as our Financial Controller, you will need to be:

- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role, ideally within the charity, NGO, or international development sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting, statutory reporting, and UK charity accounting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate a finance team.
- Experience managing audits, regulatory compliance, and risk management in complex organisations.
- Excellent financial systems skills and experience improving processes and controls.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders across finance and non-finance teams.

Luminary Ltd provides training, employment and community to some of the most disadvantaged women in London. The role
Luminary is entering an exciting phase in its development, transitioning from a small, founder-led start-up into a medium-sized charity. Essential:

Five years + experience in fundraising contributing to strategy as well as delivery.

Demonstrated  success in fundraising  with a proven track record of securing significant income from trusts and foundations, and/or major donors and corporate partners.
Skilled in relationship-based fundraising with experience of donor cultivation and stewardship to secure long-term partnerships.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop compelling funding proposals, persuasive pitches and impactful reports.
Experience in financial planning including creating and managing budgets, and financial analysis skills to track and report income performance.
Strategic and innovative thinker able to identify, assess and pursue new funding opportunities aligned with charity goals.
Highly organised, self-motivated and proactive with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
A genuine passion for Luminary’s mission, with a strong commitment to empowering women and creating social change.
