In Spring 2028, the National Gallery will launch a new, public-facing Research Centre to facilitate and showcase our world-leading research in the history, display, conservation, and science of painting. We are now recruiting for a new role, a Research Centre Manager, to support in the planning and daily delivery of an exceptional experience at the Research Centre. The role-holder will provide vital clarity and consistency in the day-to-day running of this multifaceted space to ensure a smoothly functioning whole, including coordinating all aspects of the Research Centre operations, managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the Research Centre facilities and administration.

About the role

In this role you will be responsible for developing, planning, executing and evaluating projects in our Strategic Change portfolio – ensuring alignment to the wider vision and strategic direction of Macmillan and maintaining a focus on outcomes.

You will be working collaboratively with Business Leads across Macmillan, you will define the project’s objectives and drive progress throughout its life cycle.

The Portfolio & Risk Team manages the SCUK International Restricted Portfolio, supporting Country Offices and local partners in achieving strategic goals. They collaborate closely with Country Offices and other members, offering expertise in programme management, donor compliance, and risk management. Their responsibilities include ensuring compliance, quality assurance, and addressing sensitive issues such as fraud, safeguarding, and safety/security concerns. Key Accountabilities

The Portfolio Manager for West and Central Africa (WCA) is responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of Save the Children UK's portfolio across multiple Country Offices in the region. This includes providing direct management support to Country Offices, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and supporting the effective delivery of programmes and partnerships. Working with a high degree of autonomy, the postholder will lead on managing risks, issues and challenges specific to the WCA portfolio and escalate as necessary to senior colleagues.

The role works closely with the Senior Portfolio Manager for WCA and the Regional Portfolio Lead to ensure regional priorities are supported and delivered. This includes contributing to the effective development and implementation of regional and strategic partnerships, identifying and addressing systemic risks and issues across WCA, and capturing lessons learned to inform future portfolio development opportunities. The Portfolio Manager will also collaborate with colleagues across Partnership Engagement and Portfolio Development to strengthen new partnership opportunities in the region.

In this role, you will:

• Manage the delivery of Save the Children UK's (SCUK) portfolio by overseeing grant and contract management, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, and supporting Country Offices (COs) in achieving program deliverables and managing risks and issues.

• Provide oversight of risk management and portfolio performance, making informed decisions on issues, ensuring key performance indicators are met, and escalating concerns when required.

• Ensure continuous improvement by facilitating the sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to inform future portfolio and partnership development efforts and capture knowledge management across the SCUK portfolio.

• Support in identifying new funding opportunities, as follow on from existing awards and/or as part of the day-to-day interaction with donors and that this will be included in the central pipeline management. As directed by the Head of Portfolio Development, this role may be asked to support on proposal development as necessary.

About You

We are looking for someone with the following experience, competencies and skills:

• Project and Portfolio Management: Experience in managing portfolios across multiple Country Offices, with knowledge of donor compliance requirements and the proven experience of ensuring a portfolio of work is delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with donor requirements and agreed outcomes.

• Risk Management and Mitigation: Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and addressing risks at both the portfolio and project levels, ensuring that strategies are in place to minimise or resolve potential issues.

With a strong foundation of mid-level corporate partners (typically £5k-£25k) and a skilled Senior Officer in place to manage and grow those relationships, you’ll be free to focus on securing new, higher-value partnerships and support.

The Role:

You’ll lead our corporate new business development identifying and approaching companies aligned with our mission, and converting them into long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.

You’ll work closely with the Director of Fundraising to cultivate high-net worth individuals and senior volunteers who can introduce us to the right people and help get us in the room.

Working with colleagues across communications, marketing and services, you’ll create professional, pitch-ready presentations and proposals that inspire companies to partner with us – and then deliver those pitches at a senior level, with confidence and clarity.

Key responsibilities:

· Research, Identify and approach new corporate prospects, building a strong pipeline of potential six-figure partners

· A track record of securing new business or corporate partnerships, ideally in a fundraising CSR setting

The Order of St John ( is a global humanitarian organisation delivering first aid and community healthcare in more than 40 countries and territories worldwide.  It is supported by an International Office based in London.

With a new global fundraising operation in place, and a refreshed international strategy for the future, St John International is looking to expand its team. The Internal Relationship Manager will be the go-to person for Trustees and will keep an overview of what is going on across the Order’s various governance bodies, so that the work flows smoothly. You will work closely with the External Relations Manager as they implement our regional development and deliver on our relationships with St John establishments internationally. Along with the Communications team you will work to share our resources internationally using our newly established intranet – the St John Resource Hub – ensuring content is up to date, relevant and seen, by our staff and volunteers on all continents.

You will have oversight of the office admin function, line managing the Operations and Digital Managers and working closely with the Finance Director when it comes to budgets. You will also be the main point of contact for our vibrant Women’s and Youth networks and the alumni from our Global Leadership Development Programme. You will also have an important role in making sure that St John International is a great place to work, with a focus on staff well-being as well as the policies to support an engaged and productive team.  

This is a part-time position, initially 25 hour a week.

Responsibilities

• To support the Secretary General in providing strategic direction for the worldwide activities of the Order of St John.
• Acting as the focal point for the management of governance functions across the Order, setting timetables for meetings, agreeing agendas and writing minutes of key committees.
• Liaison with Great Officers (senior trustees) on travel plans to maintain a strategic approach to intervention and attendance at events across the network.
• Leading on internal business planning: working with colleagues to bring a strategic project management approach to the process, driving progress and reporting to Board of Trustees.
• Internal communications: working with all other teams to share relevant information with St John establishments internationally using the St John Resource Hub
• Directing and monitoring the output of the Order’s advisory committees: youth and women’s networks, acting as secretariat to the networks.
•  Managing the International Office’s input to big set-piece events (Grand Council)  
• Acting as line manager for the digital officer and office manager.  
• Lead on recruitment and induction of new staff and trustees

Experience and skills (essential)

• Strong background in project management, coordination, and business planning
• Competence in budget management and financial planning.
•  Problem-solving and positive approach, with experience of working across teams and breaking down barriers.
• Proven team working skills, ideally with experience of working with cross-cultural, geographically dispersed team.
• Ability to manage large amounts of information, prioritise effectively and produce concise and focussed advice to the Board. 
• A proactive and creative approach to systems, policies and procedures, ready to lead change and to shape better ways of doing things.
• Excellent written and oral communication.

Experience and skills (desirable)

• Experience of the charitable sector, ideally in an international context
• Experience of operating at main board level, including building strong relationships with senior staff.

SAVE Britain’s Heritage is looking for a proactive and collaborative Heritage Engagement Manager to strengthen our support for communities campaigning to save historic buildings. 

You’ll take the lead in developing and managing SAVE’s public-facing resources — including the Buildings at Risk Register, ACT NOW! Toolkit and Building of the Month — ensuring they are accessible, impactful and widely used. About Cosmic

Cosmic is a small but mighty children’s charity dedicated to supporting the incredible work of the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington, and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital, Hammersmith. We provide vital funding for life-saving equipment, specialist staff training, and pioneering research. We also deliver our own emotional and practical family support services - making a real difference for children and families when they need it most.

The Role

This role will be pivotal in connecting Cosmic with the families we support and our NHS units across both hospital sites, by managing service delivery and fostering continuous engagement. The postholder will lead and coordinate our new Post-Discharge Support service, working closely with families, the NHS Family Liaison Team, and counsellors. They will also be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the outcomes of service delivery projects - focusing on the experiences and impact on both NHS staff and families - while ensuring efficiency and value for money through careful cost assessment.

NHS Engagement & Relationship Management

• Build strong partnerships with PICU and NICU teams to embed Cosmic’s presence, raise awareness, and identify areas for support.
• Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and deliver projects that improve patient, family and staff experiences - maintaining an up-to-date pipeline of funding needs.
• Liaise directly with families on the units to understand their needs and explore how Cosmic can offer practical and emotional support, helping to build trusted relationships and inform future service development.
• Organise engagement activities and events to promote Cosmic across the units, ensuring consistent branding and visibility.
• Represent Cosmic at senior staff hospital meetings, forums and working groups, sharing feedback and opportunities with the wider team.

Engagement Campaigns

• Create, promote and mobilise staff on our units to deliver a yearly schedule of engagement campaigns. Work with staff to develop new and existing campaigns; creating and implementing the plans as appropriate.
• To keep abreast of any key or newsworthy/trending national developments and topics relating to PICU & NICU care and the NHS and develop campaigns as appropriate.

Management of Service Delivery Programmes

• Identify and implement a plan to secure the necessary resources to deliver services, such as recruiting new counsellors for post-PICU support programme.
• Develop, in partnership with the units, service delivery models that include services provided, and their impact.
• Develop project budgets with the COO, monitoring and evaluating them to ensure projects are delivered on budget.
• Oversee ongoing evaluation and development of the service to ensure it meets targets and desired outcomes.
• Work with our supporters and past patients and families in the development of projects and services.
• Work closely with the Family Liaison Team, who will interact directly with families benefiting from the service, to ensure their needs and experiences inform the ongoing development of the project.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting

• Develop and implement data metrics and gathering points to measure and analyse the impact of Cosmic’s services, supporting outcomes reporting and strategic decision-making.
• Utilise strong IT skills for database modelling and data interpretation, ensuring timely data capture in collaboration with clinical staff to enhance service delivery and promote awareness.
• Monitor and report on the impact of Cosmic’s work to support funding efforts and improve overall effectiveness.
