MHFA England are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage organisational projects that form part of our planning and change portfolio, ranging from updating our product and services roadmap to supporting longer-term change programmes.

The postholder will provide the senior leadership team with evidence and recommendations to drive the key business decisions for change initiatives and project prioritisation, helping to shape the organisation’s thinking and direction.

The postholder will have experience in leading projects from concept to completion and be comfortable working to tight deadlines. They will have excellent attention to detail and outstanding communication skills, comfortable managing multiple projects and multiple stakeholders.

Person Specification

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Provide tailored, high-quality stewardship to a range of large and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations to further grow this income stream.
• Prioritise research to constantly develop future pipeline.
• Work with Head of Philanthropy and other senior stakeholders in engaging potential funders and managing strategic Trusts & Statutory partners.

Write applications and reports

• Develop compelling funding applications for Trusts and occasionally statutory funders, articulating Resurgo's vision and strategy to persuasively engage new donors with a focus on raising five and six-figure grants.
• Stay ahead of sector trends, media, and political context to market Resurgo's interventions in a compelling way.
• Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
• Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner. 

Data Management and Monitoring

• Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details ina timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
• Manage the Trusts & Foundations and Statutory pipelines and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.

Line Management

• Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

The Partnerships and Strategy Manager at Western Forest will be responsible for managing and nurturing partnership relations across the Western Forest area. The Mersey Forest, established in 1991, is a growing network of woodlands and green spaces across Cheshire and Merseyside. Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development, execution and financial management of the annual Mersey Forest woodland establishment and Biodiversity Net Gain Programmes, developing and managing the delivery of a multi-year pipeline of projects
• Assist in formulating and implementing woodland management plans to uphold sustainable woodland management and conservation practices.
• Provide expert advice to local authorities, landowners, and other stakeholders on woodland establishment, management, and conservation, fostering collaborative relationships.

The UK Portfolio supports the ambitions and potential of communities across the UK.We focus on scaling projects with a UK-wide benefit, through significant investments, which enable systems-level change for communities. Our funding is intended to complement the work of other country portfolios: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

As one of four Heads of Funding in UK Portfolio you will oversee all aspects of our work and ensure the team is resourced and able to deliver operationally. Heads of Funding are responsible for ensuring our programmes are designed and delivered to the scope, standard and deadlines required and will lead on specific strategic areas and relationships inside and outside the Fund. Heads of Funding are responsible for ensuring an understanding of the external policy, practice and funding context from across the UK is reflected in our delivery. You will provide leadership for the team, supporting the work of the Portfolio Managers.

We are currently evolving our UK Portfolio funding offers and  programmes in response to the strategy, developing a partnerships offer, and how we are more than a funder through our support to communities across the UK.

All Heads of will lead on a combination of strategic and operational priorities and the roles will involve a variety of responsibilities including:

• Overseeing up to £50m of grant commitments each year ensuring compliance with our operational and governance policies and requirements

About the role

As finance and compliance manager, you will be an important part of our Senior Management Team (SMT) and help us deliver our exciting new strategy. Key responsibilities will include:

• Strategic financial planning and operations management, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded, and controls and procedures are in place to safeguard our assets
• Developing an asset management and investment strategy delivering quality and value for money
• Overseeing compliance and property management, ensuring our buildings are well maintained, compliant, clean and safe
• Working closely with the CEO and SMT, providing financial guidance in support of our objectives and contributing to our strategic direction

To succeed, you will be a qualified accountant (eg. ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and have significant experience gained in a similar role ideally in a charity or housing environment, strong analytical skills and an ability to think operationally and strategically. You will be a key part of our SMT and the delivery of our strategy.

About the role

Working in close collaboration with the Senior Mass Fundraising Lead, the role will manage and deliver a variety of community-led fundraising initiatives and dynamic challenge events that engage supporters and generate vital unrestricted funds for children affected by neuroblastoma.

The role focuses on building strong relationships with fundraisers, volunteers and ambassadors, providing guidance, support and motivation to help them surpass their fundraising goals. The Community and Challenge Events Fundraising Manager will both steward existing and reactive contacts, as well as be confident in securing new networks, including representing the charity in presentations and other public speaking opportunities.

This role comes at an exciting time of growth in the fundraising team, with new colleagues joining the charity and a team focused on growth of income over the coming years. This role is crucial in this plan and will take the existing community and events programme to new heights.
