About First Give
First Give is a national charity that inspires young people to make a difference to the causes they care about. We do this through working in partnership with secondary schools, providing a fully resourced scheme of work that guides an entire year group of students to engage with local charities and causes and then carry out social action (fundraising, raising awareness, campaigning, volunteering etc.) in support of them.
At the end of each programme, a celebratory School Final is held at each school, where teams representing each class deliver presentations about their projects. The class considered to have engaged the best with the programme secures a First Give grant of £1,000 for their chosen charity. By the end of the programme, however, the whole year group will have given back meaningfully to their local community. We currently work in partnership with about 200 schools every year across England and Wales.

Programme Manager role
Programme Managers are responsible for coordinating the delivery of the First Give programme in up to 60 schools. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic candidate to join our team of Programme Managers.
Programme Managers support our schools to deliver the programme, engaging approximately 35,000 young people in social action for local causes. The schools this Programme Manager will work with are based in Wales and the West of England, plus some schools in London and the South East.
- Contract: Full time, fixed term maternity cover, approximately 11 month contract. 37.5 hours per week (9am-5.30pm but with occasional early starts and late finishes dependent on events and school visits).
- Salary: £32,000 – 34,000
- Location: Working from Wales-based home, with regular travel to schools in Wales and the West of England. Travel to First Give’s London office in West Hampstead and other locations in England and Wales for team meetings will be required, approximately once per month.

Key responsibilities
All Programme Managers have the following as ‘core’ responsibilities, to ensure the successful delivery and management of the First Give programme in schools:
- Manage relationships with teachers and school leaders to deliver the First Give programme
- Manage programmes using Salesforce
- Attend school Finals and other in school events
- Deliver First Give events (Assemblies, Workshops and Finals) where required
- Renew schools onto the programme year-on-year
- Support recruitment and management of school facilitators as appropriate
- Provide logistic and programme support to teachers delivering the First Give programme at their school, including but not limited to:
- an introductory Programme Call with the Lead teacher;
- delivering a briefing to class teachers;
- responding to queries via phone and email;
- booking in First Give facilitated sessions
- Collect data for monitoring (student surveys; case studies; teacher surveys)
- Recruit a minimum of one judge per School Final from the wider community
- Actively raise the profile of First Give across Wales and the West of England, creating opportunities to attend networks, promote programmatic offers and develop new school partnerships or funding opportunities
- Some activity to recruit new schools to the programme, including seeking referrals from existing partners and delivering onboarding meetings
In addition to core responsibilities, Programme Managers have ‘Additional Responsibilities’ which make up part of their role and objectives. These Additional Responsibilities are flexibly assigned across the staff team based on the needs of the organisation and caseloads. Examples of Additional Responsibility areas include monitoring & evaluation; facilitator recruitment and training; communications; resource design; Youth Advisory Group oversight.

Our work aims to prevent this from ever happening again. Our work saves lives. We reach thousands of children and young people in schools and other community settings with Breck's story every year. Our talks and educational materials fill a gap in the current UK curriculum that otherwise leaves children vulnerable to online grooming and exploitation. Training: All necessary training will be provided, and time spent in training will be compensated.
More specifically, the post holders will:
• Research speaking opportunities and engage/build sustainable relationships with schools and other youth spaces with the aim of securing speaking engagements (known as bookings).
• Work with the Breck Foundation team to set up all new speaking engagements and ensure set communication processes are met and all calendar entries completed.
• Maintain relationships with named contacts within schools and other youth spaces with a view to achieving repeat bookings.
• Where practical, to attend and deliver bookings at different locations using the Foundation’s standardised PowerPoint presentations, with a commitment to educate/raise awareness among young people, staff, parents & carers about the dangers young people face from online grooming through gaming and social media and other online harms. School Engagement Officer (Freelance) Role Description
• Where impractical to deliver bookings secured, to work with the Foundation team to ensure that the booking is assigned appropriately and delivered to a high standard.
• Represent the Foundation in a professional manner and to protect and advance the Foundation’s profile in all engagements, including to work collaboratively with other colleagues to identify new ways to raise awareness of the foundation’s mission and to help expand their scope, reach and geographical coverage and income generation capabilities.
• If delivering bookings, carryout pre- and post-delivery engagements, including sharing pre and post presentation packs with schools and actively seeking feedback, testimonials and even Vox Pops where possible; and to log these on Salesforce.

Role Purpose
The main purpose of the programmes team is to grow, develop and deliver all aspects of the day-to-day relationship management of:

Each Regional Manager is responsible for a local patch which currently typically consists of 5-6 schools or colleges, up to 100 students and 4-5 operational relationships with our corporate partners. Regional Managers will also be responsible for building and maintaining a local network of employer supporters and seeking opportunities for new employer support ..
There will be opportunities to be creative, as well as being autonomous in how you run and develop the programme with the Career Ready schools and colleges in your area.
Main responsibilities and accountabilities
Centre Management and Student Support
· You will work 1:1 with our community of school/college coordinators in your region to support them in delivering the programme. This will require regular meetings and communication, to support coordinators with the planning and managing of masterclasses, workplace visits and other Career Ready events for students and volunteers
· Regularly communicate and report to the Head of Programmes
· Execute our strategy across the region
· Support schools and colleges in programme onboarding (students and mentors) and delivery of paid internships
· From time to time there may be a need to deliver sessions to skills and careers leads and to groups of young people within the school and college setting
· Recruit new schools and colleges to the network from the region in accordance with priority target areas. Manage their induction, training, activities prior to launch and implementation of the Career Ready programme
· Assist schools and colleges on our programmes to plan, manage and run events (i.e. icebreakers, launches, or student promotion sessions) and be prepared to present at such events.
Partnership Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development
· Day-to-day operational account management for employer supporters, ensuring they have excellent experiences.
· Full partnership and operational account management for lower-level funders in your region.
· Promote the contribution of Career Ready and awareness of Career Ready to potential supporters and assist in engaging their commitment to give both practical and financial support
· Engaging new corporate, third and public sector organisations to directly support the programme delivery, working with the Head of Programmes to ensure your Regional Action Board supports you (develop a great relationship with them, set and agree targets and meet with Chair regularly).
· Develop and deliver the overall employer engagement strategy for the area ensuring that the number of mentors (one for each student participating) is matched with the paid internship commitment and that employer volunteers are in place for masterclass delivery and workplace visits.

o Promoting Career Ready to potential supporters, engaging their commitment.
o Management of relationships with employer supporters through regular 'keeping in touch'.
o Directly pursuing a prioritised list of prospect funders in your region in line with our organisational strategy. This work will be supported by Partnership Managers and Head of Programmes
o Using our SME Internship Investment Fund, seek small and medium sized businesses to provide a mentor and host an intern, seeking as much match funding as possible (e.g., we pay for 1 internship and you pay for 1; 50% of internship funded_
o Support engagement, experience and deliver on the programme commitments to corporate partners in your area.
o Support the Head of Programmes and Partnership Manager with programme reporting requirements specific to corporate partners, trusts and foundations
General
· Promote a commitment to high standards of service, and to equality of opportunity through leadership and good practice.
· With the Chief Executive, Director of Programmes and Operations, and Heads of Programmes , monitor the state of Career Ready in the region and seek ways to promote its achievements and improve the service given by the central staff team.

EduSpots is an innovative, dynamic, and community-driven UK and Ghanaian registered charity which connects, trains, and equips voluntary community educators to drive community-led change through education spaces named ‘Spots’. Our vision is of our world where communities unite to create the futures they want to see, through education.
Since 2016, through collaborating extensively with over 250 local volunteers, who take a central leadership role in the development of the network, we have supported 50 communities in creating and running community-led and owned education spaces named ‘Spots’, with a strategy to support them in moving towards our ‘Dream Spot Model’. About this role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic fundraising professional, with a proven track record of income generation and a strong ability to develop impactful relationships with the skills to bring aligned individuals and organisations into our long-term EduSpots community. The post holder will be creative, passionate and self-motivated, with strong marketing and communications skills, able to design and implement strategic fundraising approaches.
In this role, you will take on responsibility for identifying, creating and delivering impactful fundraising strategies that enable us to generate further relationships and income in support of our programmes.
You will oversee the development of our individual giving and monthly giving strategies and further develop relationships with schools, corporate organisations and NGOs, with a focus on resource acquisition (e.g. books, electronic devices) alongside fundraising. You will also play a supportive role in events and campaigns, and work closely with our Head of Communications to ensure our marketing and communications strategy is integrated with our fundraising aims. Currently, we already have a trusts and foundations manager, but would welcome applicants with experience of trust fundraising.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role are to:

Develop our individual giving and monthly giving strategies, including:
-
Ensuring we have the right tools in place.

Strengthening thanking and communications to existing supporters.

Trialling new strategies for outreach to new audiences.

Organise occasional fundraising events (e.g. face-to-face events in London; virtual events and fundraising challenges).

Support organisation and delivery of appeals and campaigns (e.g. the Big Give).
-
Support the development of impactful relationships with schools, universities, corporates and NGOs for fundraising and resource acquisition (e.g. books, digital devices, science equipment).

If time and experience, possibly support grant applications.

Line manage, and provide support to, the intern/s (fundraising).

Ensure all administrative tasks relating to the role are carried out accurately.

Skills, Experience and Attributes
Essential

Proven track record of successful income generation from individuals or communities - ideally in a similar education / international development organisation

Experience of developing and maintaining successful income generating relationships (e.g. with schools, corporates, individuals, communities)

Experience of digital marketing to engage new charity supporters / donors (including using paid advertising and innovative engagement techniques)

Experience of email marketing and donor conversion strategies

Strong communication and marketing skills, ideally with basic design skills (Canva)

Ability to work effectively in a remote based role with minimal day-to-day support

The Health Link Worker will provide a conduit between Knowsley Carers Centre, health and social care teams and appropriate networks and forums that support carers’ interests.

The Health Link Worker will:
- Provide information for and about carers and young carers to GP practices and health and social care teams.
- Assist in maintaining carers’ information boards in GP practices and at other health and social care locations.
- Continue to promote good practice guidance and steer relevant personnel at GP practices and other health settings through the guidance framework.
- Provide presentations, training and talks to health and social care staff on carers needs and include all aspects of caring within the awareness raising.
- Raise carer awareness in hospitals and develop carer friendly processes.
- Encourage carer participation on forums, groups and boards.
- Network with relevant organisations to raise awareness of carers issues.
- Assist in the delivery of carer awareness training in partnership with other members of the team.
- Work closely with other organisations such as Healthwatch.

c) Providing an empathetic and supportive ear to Carers about the difficulties they may be experiencing. Remind carers that we are here to provide a listening ear and offer our counselling service if appropriate.
d) To signpost Carers to relevant voluntary and statutory organisations.
2) Keep up-to-date with services, benefits and organisations relevant to Carers.
3) To assist in the promotion of the work of the organisation by use of media, talks, presentations, displays etc.
4) Make links with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations.
5) Use any of the above opportunities to identify hidden Carers and
Casework
1) Work on behalf of Carers both by phone and in writing to help them to obtain the services they need.
2) Make home-visits as necessary to carry out this aspect of the work and initial support to new carers via home visit with the agreement of line manager.
3) Liaise with other advice/advocacy organisations to develop and maintain referral systems.
4) Complete all the necessary administrational tasks related to the role including updating all contacts on the database.
Groups and Events
1) Setting up, administering and facilitating Carers Support Groups.
2) Organise outings and events for Carers. To liaise with the manager to raise small funds to assist with one to one support or group support.
3) Work with other members of the Knowsley Carers Centre staff team to plan, organise and facilitate special events and activities e.g. During National Carers Week.

1) Complete contacts on the database for every interaction with each carer. All phone calls, drop ins, home visits letters, emails and texts to have a separate contact.
2) Ensure attendees at group events whether in house or at another venue complete the signing in sheet. Complete the register for these events on the database if requested to do so.
3) Add names to waiting lists for trips and events following the standard procedure. Make appointments for carers to attend holistic therapies following the standard procedure.
4) Write up case studies and other reports as requested by line manager.
5) To be primarily self-servicing including word processing letters, keeping appropriate records of work undertaken, write reports and complete monitoring forms.
6) All of the above are necessary for management to produce statistics and other monitoring reports to comply with funders requests outlined in the main contract and other sources of funding.
General Tasks
1) To work as part of a team contributing to the smooth and effective running of Knowsley Carers Centre.
2) To produce articles for the Carers Centre newsletter and to distribute
