Manage, develop and evaluate an engaging programme of events fundraising, and support the Community Fundraising Officer when delivering local events to raise a target income of £90k . Support groups and individuals organising fundraising events and activities on behalf of hyh. To support the development and delivery of the Communications Plan.

Contribute to hyh’s overall Fundraising strategy as a member of the Fundraising Team

• Identify, develop and support existing and new community and events fundraising activities to increase and generate significant net income and supporter engagement
• Provide excellent donor care for all fundraising activities, to develop productive and lasting relationships with the community and convert them into loyal supporters
  
• Assist the Head of Fundraising & Communications  in the development and delivery of hyh’s Events and Communications Plans

About the Role

We are looking for a Day Service Co-ordinator to join our art studio team and support people living with brain injury in our day centre in Haggerston.

You will take responsibility for organising and delivering activities in the Submit to Love art studio, such as supporting members in creating new artworks, planning and delivering events and outings, and engaging members in a variety of other activities in response to their needs and interests.

The role also involves providing advocacy and support (key working) for up to 12 members and ensuring the smooth running of the day service as a member of the co-ordinating team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Activities in the art studio:

•  Support members to engage creatively and develop their personal artistic practise.
• Work alongside the studio manager, day service members and volunteers to plan and deliver events, including artist led workshops, exhibitions and open studios.
•  Plan trips to cultural events and experiences.

Key working:

• Act as key worker for up to 16 members, checking in regularly about their engagement in the centre and their general wellbeing, and supporting them with information, advice, and advocacy as appropriate.
• Establish and maintain contact with members’ families, carers, and relevant statutory partners to facilitate good communication and better provide appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including comprehensive individual risk assessments.

Day Service co-ordination:

• Work closely with colleagues and volunteers in the day service and other teams at Headway East London to create a welcoming, supportive, and stimulating environment for members.
• Share responsibility for practical tasks in the day service to ensure its smooth running.
• Work sensitively with volunteers, supporting them alongside the volunteer co-ordinator to take on meaningful and rewarding roles in the day service.

As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will support in leading a team of volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. Role Description

As Volunteer Programmes Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects in the Decorate A Child's Life (DACL) and Adventure Play Partnership (APP) volunteering programmes. Your role will include  managing the day-to-day operations for Volunteer Programmes, oversight of programme coordination,  reviewing and updating procedures on a rolling basis and keeping good records, including financial monitoring and collecting impact data for regular reporting. This role may at times include attending site visits to scope projects, and leading and supervising groups of volunteers during project installations. 

You will work closely with fundraising colleagues to match partners/corporate volunteer groups to projects, and from time to time you’ll contribute to scoping new opportunities to adapt our offer for potential partnership pitches. Our Corporate Partnerships Manager will be a key colleague, as you’ll work together to plan and organise volunteering opportunities and to plan and implement a high-quality volunteer experience that ultimately helps the charity to secure income generation corporate partnerships. You’ll need to take a lead role in monitoring and reporting on progress, including the expenditure budget for project delivery, the level of delivery and the capturing of feedback from both beneficiaries and volunteers.

Role Purpose

In this role you will support the delivery and development of our established Family Supporters programme across the City of Edinburgh. Family Supporters is an effective mentoring programme which offers practical, emotional, and social support to parents and families across Edinburgh, empowering them to face a range of life challenges and issues.

We recruit, train and match dedicated, local volunteers to help families every step of the way, spending 1-1 time together on a personalised set of goals chosen by the family, for the family. The programme supports parents and families in lots of ways such as improved living standards, budgeting skills, healthier eating, better school life and behaviour, help to access Education, Employment or Training, access to physical and mental health and wellbeing resources/aid, as well as introducing parents to community resources, to name a few.

Key Duties

· Role model and display our organisational values – being Compassionate, Empowering, Inclusive, Positive and Straightforward.

· Deliver and develop the Family Supporters programme across Edinburgh, meeting ambitious goals and milestones, ensuring all volunteers and families involved achieve positive outcomes.

· Attract, recruit, train and provide ongoing support to a team of dedicated volunteers, from a wide cross-section of the community.

· Maintain Volunteering Matters standards around quality and effective Volunteer Management.

· Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with stakeholders including colleagues, volunteers, families, Social Services, Health and Education teams, third sector partners and others.

· Support appropriate risk assessment, safeguarding, quality assurance and audit processes.

· Develop relevant promotional material and information, for Family Supporters, and for our organisation locally.

· Ensure quarterly statistical data is collected and that the programme meets its agreed goals, reporting format and schedule as required by our funders.

· Administration tasks including the use of Office 365, Microsoft Teams and other relevant software.

Experience/Skills and attributes:

· Experience working directly with families, particularly those who face life challenges

· Experience in all aspects of effective Volunteer Management (recruitment, training, support)

· Experience developing strong working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders

· Experience of project management, achieving goals, managing a busy workload, and working to deadlines

· Experience of measuring the impact of mentoring/volunteering, and understanding the results

· Understanding of, and full commitment, to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion

Qualifications:

Relevant experience and values alignment is more important for this role than specific qualifications. This role does require Enhanced DBS clearance.

Grant Support Executive

What are we looking for?

What can we offer you?

The salary band for this role is £24,000 - £27,000 per annum, dependent on relevant skills and experience.

You will start on 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (which increases after 2 years), plus additional time off to volunteer. Resource Futures’ roots are in community impact and our community projects inspire individuals and communities to act on climate issues. The projects we deliver are many and varied, and all enable people to play their part in reducing waste and living more circular lives. You will work closely with our Community Impact Lead to support both the delivery and the development of our community work. The Community Impact work at Resource Futures is an important part of our business; it captures a number of long-term projects which are at the heart of our company. These include Community RePaint, Community Action Groups Devon, Community Action Groups Somerset, the Fixy project, the Gloucestershire Real Nappy Project and more.

What you will be doing

• Project delivery: Getting involved in project delivery, such as foundational research for project development and delivering workshops.
• Project management: Overseeing the effective delivery of projects, including reporting, and supporting the planning and set up of new projects as they come online.
• Innovation and Development: Supporting us to improve and expand our projects and programmes. You will also assist in identifying new projects or funding opportunities and contribute to the preparation of funding proposals. This may involve exploring options for the governance structure of this area of work.
• Marketing and communications: Promoting our projects, developing our external communications and acting as an ambassador for our community work.
• Monitoring and evaluation: We are on a journey to better capture the impact of specific projects, and the impact that our community work has collectively. You will take an active role in supporting this element of our work.
• Partnership working: Collaboration is key to our approach. You will liaise with existing clients and partners for project delivery, develop new partnerships to further our aims and also take part in key networking and external events.
• Team development: You will work closely with the Community Impact Lead to contribute to the development of the team, during our team meetings and away days. You will be comfortable managing staff, teams and subcontractors to deliver desired outcomes.
• Day-to-day operations: Working closely with the Community Impact Lead, HR and Finance, to support our remote project teams, problem solve issues as they arise, develop our internal systems and processes, maximise efficiencies and drive improvements.
