The senior member of staff is responsible for ensuring the decisions of the Board are acted upon and the charity meets the legal and regulatory requirements of a CIO. The key focus will be on development of new income streams as we navigate challegnes across the site. The General Manager will oversee the implementation of the new Buisness Development Plan. Support the team of volunteers in project managment and fundraising to support the ambitions of the Board. HR management and financial control will be an important part of the role.

Overall Purpose

• To provide support and care to the young people who are newly arrived in the country, providing the foundations for them to rebuild their lives with dignity, strengthen their resilience and inspire hope for their futures.
• To partner with social workers and representatives from other agencies, for the benefit of the young people.

This work is essential in enabling us to deliver our therapeutic support for all areas of a young person’s life.

Duties & Responsibilities

• To be a Support Worker for newly arrived young people who are in the care of Baca in all areas of the young person’s life, supporting them from first arrival through to their move to semi-independence.
• To welcome new arrivals into the accommodation and communicate basic information about the house, making them feel safe and able to rest; with compassion without discrimination of age, race, colour or behavioural issues.
• To enable young people to achieve the following outcomes increased physical wellbeing, increased emotional wellbeing, improved personal safety, increased social engagement and increased engagement with education, employment and training.
• To enable young people to live with positive values and good boundaries.
• To be a proactive role model for the young people, enabling them to learn day to day living skills and helping them integrate positively with the local community.
• Training young people in living skills such as washing, cleaning, cooking and safety, food shopping and budgeting; proactively and intentionally in line with the Baca independent living preparation plan.
• Helping young people settle into a routine which will include education and social activities.
• Work in close partnership with social workers and other professionals and volunteers to provide a holistic development package for each young person enabling them to become independent.
• Maintaining very good communication with relevant members of the Rebuild Team and relevant social workers through regular appropriate reporting.
• To work collaboratively with the rest of the Rebuild Team to ensure all young people are safeguarded and supported to rebuild their lives.
• Complete and update all admin work as part of the role such as month end reports and support plans on time and in a consistent manner.
• Playing an active role in developing knowledge and understanding in areas relevant to the role and especially in the areas of asylum and refugee law, trafficking, supporting separated children and the cultures of different nations relevant to Baca.

Personal Specification

Baca is looking for a Support Worker who is passionate about seeing young refugees achieving their potential and rebuilding their lives for a better future. The successful applicant will have a personal style that is in line with Baca’s vision and values. They will live in the new arrival house and make it their home. They will be a good self-starter and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire our young people to be the best they can be. 

The successful applicant will be motivated and passionate about the work that Baca does and the young people in our care. This is a frontline role that will need the successful applicant to be working closely with young people in their houses and will need access to transport young people to different appointments, meetings and activities.

The Service:

The service facilitates peer support and delivery of monthly workshops and drop- ins. The service will provide first-class, person-centred information, advice and guidance to people with learning disabilities through both one-to-one and group support.

The Role:

You will provide relevant and accurate information, support, guidance and signposting including both one-to-one and group support for people with complex issues. Support will be flexibly based operating out of a central Bromley office but delivered at various venues across the borough. You will act in a key working capacity where necessary, ensuring services are joined up and holistic, provide advocacy and attend case management meetings as required.

• Able to research and provide information about community services
• Excellent communication skills with all groups, particularly with people with a learning disability

The post of Group Work Facilitator will provide support to victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence within group work provision.

At FearFree we run various trauma-informed groups for victims such as: Hope2Recovery, an educational domestic abuse online support group; Rediscovering You, a face-to-face emotional wellbeing recovery group; Inspiring Families, a ‘whole family’ approach to support; and a Living Skills group supporting those having to flee domestic abuse.

We are looking for experienced and motivated staff to join us to help deliver the group work programmes we run around locations in Wiltshire. Groups run in the morning, afternoon and evening. Training for the groups will be provided.

In addition to facilitating groups, staff will be asked to attend training events and meetings, including regular supervision.

This is a fixed term role until November 2025, with the potential to become permanent subject to funding.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To facilitate group work provisions across the Wiltshire Service.
• Completing pre and post group assessments and required paperwork, following the procedures in place.
• Write comprehensive case notes following groups about service user involvement, any concerns raised and any action required.
• Identify and take the appropriate action on any disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised within the group.
• To work cohesively with a second facilitator both virtually and in person in locations around Wiltshire.
• A willingness and ability to travel around Wiltshire and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Skills and Qualities 

• Experience of working with victims of domestic abuse or sexual violence or the willingness to increase knowledge and skills in this area.
• Experience of working with vulnerable people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience running groups, including listening skills, a good sense of timing, sensitivity to overall group dynamics, maintaining group safety and practical elements such as ensuring course material is delivered.
• A willingness to participate in in-house training, including group observation.

Core role responsibilities

 · Working alongside the Fundraising Manager to implement the fundraising strategy, with a focus on building unrestricted income

· Donor stewardship, including recording and thanking for donations, and other supporter communications, to encourage long-term, repeat support – engaging existing supporters, making them feel valued, proud, and committed to supporting the charity

· Working with our supporters to organise and host interesting activities and events in the community and digitally, to significantly increase fundraising income; ensuring excellent support of their activities during planning and delivery, and arranging attendance from the Colostomy UK team and volunteers as appropriate

· Preparing appealing fundraising materials and content for all types of communications

· Representing and raising the profile of the organisation externally by giving presentations and promoting the need for fundraising among different audiences

· Working with the Marketing & Social Media Executive to ensure fundraising is included in our public-facing communications, to supporters and audiences on social media, in newsletters and on other channels; ensuring our website, social media channels and print material are kept up to date with fundraising news and activities that inspire engagement and giving

· Supporting fundraising with analysis and reports to enable us to continue to build and improve our profile; monitoring engagement and conversions from different fundraising campaigns

We are looking for someone who can take a lead in supporting three of the four key functions of infrastructure and includes leadership & advocacy, partnerships & collaborations and capacity building for the sector.  These characterise the role of Thurrock CVS and help to support and strengthen locally based voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations and showcase the strength and worth of the sector.

In addition to the support to the sector, you will manage a fund developed to support the sector, overseeing the administration and governance of the fund, and supporting a wider team in building relationships with businesses to drive the social responsibility agenda.

We are looking for someone with experience of working and developing the VCFSE sector, including organisational structures such as in incorporated charities, CIC’s etc, training, funding advice, policy guidance and general support around funding and grant applications

This role is part of the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Team, which provides support to people and their families who have been impacted by domestic abuse.

Working closely with the wider Wiltshire Team your key responsibilities will be: 

• To co-ordinate the delivery of group work programmes. 
• To facilitate and deliver group work programmes. 
• Assess participants’ suitability for programmes. 
• To monitor waiting lists, with a focus on risk management and safeguarding. 
• To support group facilitators to deliver programmes. 
• To lead on the development of new programmes . 
• To review current programmes and continue development as required.

Key responsibilities:  

• Act as the main point of contact regarding group-work provision.
• To ensure groups are monitored with consideration of outcomes, and support the Team Manager to pull data as requested. 
• To deliver group-work programmes both virtually and face-to-face. 
• To promptly assess all group referrals and manage waiting lists. 
• To undertake risk assessments and agree risk management / safety plans where required. 
• To provide support to group facilitators and feedback to their line managers where required. 
• Stay abreast of developments in best practice, legislative and other changes, and integrate them into day-to-day work and the development of strategies and plans. 
• To chair regular facilitator meetings, ensuring that minutes are taken and disseminated and that there is regular attendance by the workers. 
• To identify areas of training need and co-ordinate in-house training for the staff or signpost to appropriate providers.
• To make recommendations to Team Manager about the best use of resources. 
• Coordinate resources and activities to serve the needs of service users to ensure a seamless, co-ordinated response. 
• To analyse data generated and evaluate groups, producing verbal/written reports as required. 
• To support the on going develop of programmes offered.

• Alongside the Team Manager, ensure the service meets regulatory and best practice requirements. 

General 

• Remain up to date and concordant with organisational procedures, policies and professional code of conduct, upholding standards of best practice. 
• Attend and contribute to team meetings. 
• Contribute to effective team working with a flexible and pro-active approach, including cover for other team members’ holidays and sickness where required.

As a member of our corporate services directorate, you will be proactive in maintaining quality and high availability IT systems by providing first and second-line IT support to over 350 staff across 4 offices and around 200 associates in a smaller capacity. This includes user management, telephone system administration, backups, software compliance, hardware refreshes, documentation, and user training. About you

As a key member of the IT team, you will be an active team player with the ability to engage with the people who use our IT systems. You will have sound problem-solving skills and be thorough in your approach with an excellent eye for detail. Highly organised, you will be able to manage your time and priorities well. We are mostly a Microsoft environment and you will be able to demonstrate the fundamental skills to go with that (Windows 10/11, Office 365 apps and administration with Active Directory). You will be able to troubleshoot basic network issues and manage corporate backup and antivirus solutions.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
