This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Helpline Volunteer to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and their children living in our refuges.

We are looking for volunteers to ensure those who contact us are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming service as well as providing trauma-informed emotional support to women who are experiencing domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG). You will also aid survivors in their understanding the dynamics of domestic abuse and the different forms it takes.

We’re looking for an Assembly chair who is motivated by playing a leading role in maximising the potential of the whole CPRE community to strengthen its voice and activities for the benefit of the countryside.

The Assembly meets quarterly, usually mid-week, for about three hours. The meetings are held online. There’ll be preparation and liaising to undertake ahead of meetings, so we expect this role will require a time commitment of half a day a week, two to three days a month.

The chair of the Assembly is elected annually, can serve for a maximum of three years, and attends the trustee board meetings of the national CPRE charity

Join our amazing volunteer team to raise awareness of sight loss and RNIB services at local events. You will give talks in person or virtually, sharing your own story to improve understanding of sight loss to local service providers and community groups. You’ll be making a real difference to people living with sight loss by helping to improve accessibility and inclusivity, creating a world without barriers.

What you’ll be doing:
• Giving talks to groups of people to raise awareness of sight loss in your local community by sharing your story to audiences, for example, local businesses, community and voluntary groups.
• Delivering Talks to raise awareness of RNIB services as a trusted source of support for blind and partially sighted people

• Representing RNIB as an Ambassador for the Community Connection service

Our Friends Ageing Better (FAB) project is looking for volunteer hosts for our FAB cafés around Bristol. In this volunteer role, you’ll be part of creating vibrant, welcoming community spaces that build relationships and connect people with activities in their local community.

At Age UK Bristol, we want to change the way we age. We aim to keep people aged 55+ well and active, encouraging Bristol to be an Age Friendly city. We do this in 3 ways - through providing practical help and supporting people’s emotional and physical wellbeing in a range of ways depending on their needs.  In addition, we want to prevent people from needing our help wherever possible.  We do this in our strategic work, where we aim to create the conditions for older adults to remain healthy and independent.

We are looking for FAB Cafe Host Volunteers for the following cafes

• Avonmouth - Mondays, 2:30-4:30
• Southville - Tuesdays 10:00-12:00
• Withywood - Tuesdays 11:00-1:00
• St Werburghs LGBT+ - Thursdays, 10:00-12:00
• Fishponds - Fridays 2:00-4:00

The role involves

• Welcoming older people who are new to the FAB café
• Facilitating conversation and activities in the group
• Promoting your local FAB café and the FAB membership card scheme
• Keeping sign-up sheets for attendees at cafes
• Providing information about events and activities happening in the local area with the support of the FAB team

The qualities and skills required for this role are

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate, confident, and highly professional Volunteer Charities & Campaigns Relationship Manager to build and maintain relationships with charitable organisations, community groups, and individuals using crowdfunding pages.

This role involves guiding partners from initial contact through onboarding and maintaining ongoing rapport, ensuring they feel supported, understood, and valued throughout their involvement with the platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and invite suitable charities, community groups, and crowdfunding campaigns to join the platform

• Guide partners through the onboarding process from first contact to launch

• Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with both organisations and individuals

• Act as a key point of contact for enquiries, support, and reassurance

• Maintain regular communication to sustain engagement and rapport

• Support individuals who may be experiencing difficult or traumatic circumstances with sensitivity and professionalism

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure partners receive timely assistance

• Provide clear information about how the platform works and what to expect

• Maintain accurate records of communications and partnership activity using our CRM management system

• Ensure all interactions reflect empathy, professionalism, and respect

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

• Strong relationship management or engagement experience

• Excellent customer service skills

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Confidence communicating by phone, email, and online platforms

• High level of empathy and emotional intelligence

• Ability to communicate sensitively with people experiencing challenging circumstances

• Strong IT skills, including confident use of computer databases and standard office software (e.g. Word, Excel)

Desirable:

• Familiarity with HubSpot CRM (preferred but not essential as training will be provided)

Although this is currently a volunteer position, Influential Stars is actively working to grow the platform with the long term aim of creating paid roles. Volunteer Placement Counsellor 

Location: Remote - online & telephone

Hours: 3 x clients per week - Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays

Supervision provided:3.30pm Tuesdays, fortnightly

Wimbledon Guild are recruiting up to three Volunteer Placement Counsellors to help deliver our online and telephone counselling service.  

We offer up to 16 sessions of individual online or telephone counselling to people who might find it hard to leave their homes, or their carers.

You will be on or have completed a Level 4 or above counselling course and have completed 50 hours of clinical experience or the equivalent.

You will be available to attend online supervision at 3.30pm Tuesday afternoons.  You will see a caseload of up to 3 clients online or over the telephone on either Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays. As this position is for online / telephone counselling, you will need access to a private and confidential working space, Wi-Fi, a private laptop and telephone. 

Wimbledon Guild Talking Therapies is accredited with BACP.

In return for your volunteering, you will receive free, online supervision, a full induction, and experience in a well-established counselling department in a London-based charity.
