The Finance Manager is responsible to the Executive Director and responsible for:

1. Ensure Financial Sustainability—Develop and implement financial strategies that support the organization's long-term sustainability, aligning budgets with the charity's mission and strategic goals.
2. Strengthen Financial Governance and Compliance - Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, charity law, and donor requirements, including timely preparation of statutory accounts and audit processes.
3. Enhance Financial Planning and Budgeting - Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning, providing accurate forecasting, financial modelling, and scenario planning to support leadership decisions.
4. Optimise Resource Allocation - Provide insight and analysis to guide the efficient use of funds, ensuring that resources are directed to the most impactful programs and services.
5. Develop Transparent Financial Reporting—To build trust and demonstrate accountability, deliver timely and transparent financial reports to stakeholders, including the ED, trustees, donors, and regulators.
6. Support Fundraising and Donor Stewardship - Partner with fundraising teams to manage restricted funds, track grant expenditures, and support financial reporting to funders, ensuring alignment with donor expectations.
7. Promote Financial Literacy and Capacity building - Build financial awareness and capacity across the organization by training non-financial staff and ensuring budget holders understand and manage their financial responsibilities effectively.
8. Risk Management and Contingency Planning - Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies, including establishing reserves and contingency plans for economic uncertainties or funding shortfalls.

The role requires the job holder to profess and practice the Christian faith and to commit to the Employer’s Statement of Faith.

Due to the immediate need for this post we will be interviewing suitable applicants as they are received.

The Care Navigator will support those with long term conditions to access timely care and community support services. Working closely with Camden GP practices and Integrated Care Teams is required as is accurate record keeping using IT systems. Through timely intervention and care co-ordination, unnecessary hospital admissions, GP appointments and residential placements will be reduced.

The successful candidate will come from an information/advice, social care or health background, must be computer literate, and have excellent people and communication skills, and able to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of person centred planning is required. It is important that a candidate promotes a culture that values, protects and uses information for the success of the organisation and benefit of its clients/patients. For this role it is essential that you to have the ability to travel across Camden as the role involves visiting clients in their own homes. This is a full time role with no job share opportunity and works out of GP practices in Camden. AUC offers a contributory pension, and season ticket or bicycle loan facility.

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders to build strong partnerships, whilst contributing strategically to the growth of the charity's fundraising efforts. 

We are hiring a Deputy Manager to deliver quality services to children and young people with learning disabilities and/or Autism.  The job is based in our wonderful five bedded home in Tower Hamlets providing fun-based after school activities and short breaks for a small group of children with Autism in a residential setting.  

The role will involve balancing multiple priorities in running an essential and inspirational service for children and young people with Autism.  You will support with strategic and logistical planning while also carrying out hands-on work alongside the rest of the team, ensuring a child centred approach is maintained at all times, and involving children, young people and parents and carers in decision-making structures. There is ample scope for development, identifying any gaps in existing provisions and expanding services accordingly. This deputy manager will be ambitious to maintain and further develop the positive and invaluable work of this service.

You will support, and be supported by, our Ofsted Registered Manager and be responsible for delivering services that are fully compliant with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements. You will ensure the safety of service users' health and wellbeing, leading by example with a positive and person-centred approach.  You will be confident liaising with local authority and Ofsted representatives and be committed to supporting your team to provide and facilitate engaging activity groups aimed at developing the life skills, confidence and relationship building of the people we support.

• You will need to have a minimum of two years of supervisory or team leadership experience ideally in a children’s residential environment or a related field working with children, young adults or adults with learning disabilities.

• You will need to have or be working towards Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification.

Reporting to: Director of Fundraising and Development 

Location of work: Remote with ad hoc time in the office for team days, events, campaigns and organisation away days.

Contract type:  Ideally full-time, 35 hours per week, 28 hours / flexible hours will also be considered. The role may require occasional evening and weekend work.

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to 2.6 million* means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 300,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.  Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK.

 This is an exciting time to join Magic Breakfast if you wish to make a difference to the lives of children as we work to influence both policy implementation, with the national rollout of primary-aged universal school breakfast, and legislative change, through the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill. There has also been commitment from the Scottish Government for a national breakfast scheme and we are seeking to expand our advocacy work into Wales. Magic Breakfast’s influence will be instrumental to ensuring school breakfasts are implemented in a way that is hunger-focused and barrier free.

 In addition, thousands of secondary school children are at risk of losing their free school breakfasts from September next year. For many of these students, this is their only opportunity to have a nutritious meal before facing a demanding school day, including taking exams.  And for the very youngest, we know that the disadvantage gap begins before they even reach reception. With the Government commitment to another 100,000 places in school-based nurseries, early years is also a critical part of our advocacy work.

JOB PURPOSE  

The Fundraising and Development department is responsible for ensuring Magic Breakfast’s on-going sustainability through the generation of income and other critical non-financial support. The Department Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Development and other members of the Fundraising Leadership to facilitate closer alignment across the department, help unlock and enable income growth, whilst also providing administrative and coordination support to the team more broadly. The successful candidate will also play a critical role in developing and delivering the department-wide calendar of stewardship events, working with colleagues from across the major gifts team to identify opportunities to connect our supporters even further with the impact of our work 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Department Coordination  

• Work closely with the Director of Fundraising to coordinate effective planning and management of the Fundraising & Development (F&D) strategy by coordinating quarterly review and monthly Core Management Group (CMG) meetings and managing all aspects of the monthly F&D team meetings ensuring they have maximum impact for all individuals and the organisation. This includes managing actions, minutes and agendas

• Support with the planning, coordination and diary management for any department away days, planning or reflection sessions  

• Lead efforts to enhance synergies within and across the F&D and other departments, identifying and enabling opportunities to add value, enhance efficiencies and reduce siloed working, for example through reviewing current systems and facilitating opportunities for collaboration and support  

• Provide project management support for significant team level projects, including developing project timelines and plans using Asana (e.g., for the Magic Morning webinars process and the department’s involvement in giving campaigns or annual reports) 

• Work across the department to identify any gaps or updates required for process/ ‘how-to’ documents  

• Act as the department representative for Asana, systems and process champion, providing training to colleagues where necessary  

• Act as the department lead for other key internal groups such as the all staff away day.

Supporter Care  

• Support the Fundraising Officer where necessary to act as the key welcome point to people reaching out to support Magic Breakfast, responding to enquiries received on the phone, escalating and triaging queries where necessary.   

• With support from across the Department, develop and deliver a calendar of department wide engagement events, including group school visits, stakeholder events, thought leadership dinners, and our online ‘Magic Mornings’ - a speaker series where we invite funders to hear more about our work. 

• Lead on the planning, review and learning capture/ sharing for all events, and more broadly the stewardship calendar across the department.

• Work across the department to review cross-departmental stewardship and identify opportunities for improvement, collaboration and alignment to key objectives, either through events or other activities.  

• Ensure that all confidential donor data is stored and handled in accordance with data protection regulations and all records retained on Salesforce where required.  

Fundraising Administration  

• Provide general administration support to the Fundraising & Development department, working in collaboration with the admin network across the organisation. Potential tasks may include but are not limited to meeting logistics, booking venues for away days and accommodation/travel bookings 

• Develop and maintain accurate and efficient administration systems and tools to support the department, for example our intranet section  

• Manage the Department’s resources and order supplies  

• Assist the Gifts Officer with gift processing when required, including the processing of cheques, sending acknowledgements, and adding gifts to our CRM, Salesforce  

• Administrative support to the Director of Fundraising and Development as required, including pulling reports and occasional diary management   

• Ad-hoc support to other team members.   

• Support the department with scoping and research for new fundraising products or initiatives  

• Make purchases on behalf of the Fundraising and Development department in adherence with internal budget approval processes and delegation of authority  

General:   

• Support the Fundraising & Development team by attending events and working on collaborative initiatives  

• Attend meetings and cross-team working groups to represent the Fundraising and Development Department and its interests  

• As requested, provide regular updates to key stakeholders  

• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations

Responsible for achieving ambitious income targets, you will lead the  management, development and growth of key revenue generating activities including concessions, leases, retail, licensing, catering, markets and car parking activity (and excluding events and venue hire). The WaterAid Legacy & In Memory team is responsible for increasing supporter and public awareness and consideration to give a gift in their will and/or an in memory gift. We deliver an audience led communication programme using diverse channels and products. The team deliver supporter journeys, engage staff in the cross promotion of gifts in wills and in memory giving and all aspects of legacy gift case management. We contribute to 14% of WaterAid’s voluntary income, meaning you’ll be a vital part of helping us reach even more people with life-saving clean water. 

About the Role

As our creative and innovative Legacy & In Memory Marketing Officer, you will deliver a range of compelling communications to increase consideration for legacy giving and implement personalised stewardship journeys for our legacy and in memory supporters, as well as delivering engaging thank you events. 

In this role, you will plan, manage and execute print, email and digital campaigns across the marketing funnel, as well as deliver exceptional stewardship, through personal communications and events, to our committed supporters.

You’ll also: 

• Prepare and agree campaign strategies using data, analysis and insight that meet specific objectives within the LIM Team plans
• Undertake Project Management responsibilities required for the successful and timely delivery of campaigns
• Manage relationships with external agencies and suppliers to ensure the effective and timely delivery of campaigns 
• Manage a legacy and high value supporter event programme
• Operate a rigorous test to learn methodology, regularly monitoring, evaluating and analysing campaigns

Requirements

You’ll be passionate about using your experience in fundraising and marketing to make a difference by creating inspiring and supporter-led communications that effectively raises consideration for legacy giving and uncovers new prospects and pledgers. You will steward our existing legacy and in memory supporters through engaging supporter journeys and events.

To be successful, you’ll need: 

• Proven experience in a direct marketing or supporter engagement role
• Proven experience in delivering and/or supporting on events
• Experience of developing and implementing supporter journeys across multiple channels
• Working style that reflects WaterAid’s values of Respect, Accountability, Courage, Collaboration, Integrity and Innovation.

Although not essential, we also prefer you to have:

• A recognised direct marketing qualification
• Experience of legacy or in memory fundraising

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our nursing team.

You’ll act as a specialist resource for Breast Cancer Now, clients, healthcare professionals and the wider public on the subject of breast health, screening, risk, benign breast disease and primary breast cancer. This includes providing information and support to clients through our helpline and Ask Our Nurse (AON) written enquiry service.

You’ll also work closely with other teams across the charity and externally on our breast awareness messaging and breast screening in addition to breast health and breast cancer.

About you

You will be a registered general nurse, with a relevant qualification in cancer or breast cancer nursing, either stand-alone or as part of degree studies.

You’ll have knowledge of breast cancer having worked directly with breast cancer patients or in breast screening. You’ll have the ability to show tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

With your excellent communication skills you will be able to present both formal and informal teaching to a variety or audiences.

What you'll do:

Payroll

Be responsible for the day to day delivery and coordination of the administration of the Payroll function, ensuring a timely and accurate payroll service is delivered to Look Ahead's employees, workers and Board members, to agreed deadlines
Produce and review any monthly exception reports to identify and rectify any payroll errors arising
Work with the HR Admin and Payroll Manager, Director of People and Director of Finance to ensure that payroll data processing reviews are rigorously and independently checked, validated and signed off
Act as liaison with internal and external auditors and other 3rd parties (as appropriate) on all matters with regard to Payroll processes, controls and systems
Act as liaison with MHR, HR department and Business Systems team on all areas of the payroll.

HR Admin

Acting as the first point of contact for all HR Admin related queries, via phone and email; responding promptly, whilst managing expectations effectively
Ensure letters for contractual changes for staff are sent out in a timely and accurate way and all relevant systems updated
Respond to straightforward policy and process queries, providing appropriate advice and guidance in line with Look Ahead policy, ensure that urgent items are prioritised and that any issues are highlighted and resolved as quickly as possible; escalate to the Admin Manager or an HR Business Partner as appropriate
