We are Olive Branch Aid (OBA), an award-winning Foodbank charity operating in south London, and we are looking for a dynamic and confident Foodbank Manager to work alongside our newly appointed Foodbank Coordinator as well as an energetic team of more than 60 volunteers. 

We have achieved so much but we have ambitions to do so much more! 

Since beginning 5 years ago, OBA now provides food support for a day for the equivalent of 70,000 people a year. In 2024 we packaged and delivered more than 9 tonnes of food for those needing our services. Check out our website to read more about our journey.

OBA is different

OBA provides a hand-up rather than a hand-out. More than a Foodbank, OBA provides support for 3 months - much longer than most Foodbanks. We also provide an innovative well-being support service that helps service users address the underlying causes of their food needs. In 2024, OBA helped more than 75 households with complex underlying issues, this involved many weeks of telephone calls and meetings and helped prevent at least five families from becoming homeless. OBA also provides free preloved clothing and household goods to help service users get back on their feet.

Since 2023, OBA has its own fully funded premises off Portslade Road next to the Windrush overground station. Despite these successes, we continue to rely entirely on donations for our day to day expenses. As Foodbank Manager, you will help us secure the funding to grow our services and help even more people.

Purpose: The Fundraising and Admin Officer is responsible for delivering key administrative and fundraising activities that support the achievement of Vision Action’s income generation targets. The postholder will take a lead role in researching and applying to smaller trusts and foundations, while contributing to the development of larger funding proposals as needed. They will also support the coordination of fundraising campaigns and events, maintain the prospect pipeline, and identify new fundraising opportunities. Working closely with the Fundraising Manager, this role contributes to the effective functioning of the fundraising team and plays an important part in fostering a collaborative, impact-driven organisational culture.

KEY AREAS:

- FUNDRAISING (80% of time)
Trusts & Foundations and Prospect Research

• Lead on the development and submission of applications to smaller trusts and foundations (up to £25,000), including drafting proposals, tracking deadlines, and updating the pipeline.
• Maintain and update the pipeline of prospective donors across income streams (trusts, corporates, government, and institutions).
• Conduct desk research into comparable organisations, donor trends, and partnership opportunities.

Appeals & Campaigns

• Support the coordination of Vision Action’s seasonal and thematic fundraising appeals (e.g. World Sight Day, Christmas, Summer).
• Lead on the planning and delivery of smaller appeals, including supporter follow-up, donor profiling, and managing campaign logistics.
• Log donor information and engagement history accurately in Donorfy CRM.
• Support the development of appeal-related materials in collaboration with the Fundraising Manager and Communications Officer.

Events & Community Fundraising

• Support the planning, recruitment, and delivery of fundraising events such as the London Marathon and other sporting and challenge events.
• Provide guidance and logistical support to individuals, volunteers, schools, and community groups running their own fundraising events.
• Represent Vision Action at relevant fundraising and community events, acting as an ambassador for the organisation.

Donor Stewardship & Relationship Management

• Support the stewardship and cultivation of individual donors, sponsors, and prospects through phone, email, and written communication.
• Assist in developing supporter journeys for regular givers and community fundraisers.
• Process thank you letters and acknowledgements using Donorfy.
• Manage day-to-day donor enquiries via the fundraising inbox and phone line, ensuring timely and professional responses.

Data Management & Reporting

• Maintain accurate donor records and fundraising data using Donorfy CRM.
• Produce donor and campaign performance reports as required.
• Support with administrative tasks related to fundraising compliance, filing, and data security.

- COMMUNICATION SUPPORT (20% of time)
Digital Media Marketing and Engagement

• Support efforts to grow Vision Action’s digital presence by creating engaging content for social media platforms, ensuring consistent and compelling storytelling aligned with our mission.
• Support membership relationship stewardship by developing regular updates, thank-you messages, and creative engagement campaigns to nurture and retain supporters.
• Assist in the design and production of quarterly progress reports, collaborating with colleagues across Vision Action to curate stories, impact data, and visuals that resonate with donors and partners.
• Update and maintain website content to ensure it remains current, accurate, and reflective of organisational priorities, campaigns, and news.
• Attend relevant internal and external events or meetings to capture content, live-post updates, and strengthen Vision Action’s online visibility and supporter engagement.

Administrative Support and Organisational Culture

• Provide targeted administrative support to the Fundraising & Communications team, including managing the Fundraising inbox, logging and responding to supporter enquiries, and ensuring timely follow-ups.
• Help maintain well-organised digital filing systems (e.g. SharePoint) for communications assets, membership materials, and donor stewardship documents.
• Support cross-departmental initiatives by contributing communications materials and ensuring alignment of messaging across teams.
• Actively contribute to a positive, collaborative, and inclusive working culture, bringing creativity and enthusiasm to team meetings and organisational activities.

Please note:

• This role includes some out of hours working e.g. evenings and weekends to support events, agreed in advance with Line Manager and eligible for Time Off in Lieu
• The role works with many different cultures and religions and work may span between different time zones.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

This is a varied and forward-facing role within a small and busy team. You will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the confidence to engage with supporters, donors, and colleagues. You will be comfortable working independently on routine tasks while also contributing creatively to campaigns and events.

Essential

• At least 3 years of experience in a fundraising, administration, or supporter-facing role
• Strong inter-personal and communication skills (face-to-face, phone, and email)
• Excellent organisational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Confident written skills, with experience drafting letters, emails, or fundraising materials
• Strong IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and confidence working across digital platforms
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
• Understanding of or interest in trust and foundation fundraising
• Basic knowledge of digital marketing or social media engagement (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)

Desirable

• Experience of using a CRM system to manage supporter or customer relationships (Donorfy or similar)

As a Service Manager, you’ll lead a dedicated team, making sure we deliver high quality support, performance and improvements across our service whilst representing values of the organisation. You'll play a hands on role in supporting individuals facing addiction, homelessness, and complex needs guiding them towards stability, independence, and brighter futures.

Churchfield and Cherington provide supported housing for people facing addiction and homelessness. Churchfield accommodates 12 residents and offers 24/7 temporary support for those in active addiction, while Cherington accommodates 5 residents helps abstinent residents rebuild their lives and rejoin the community. The service is across 4 floors, so applicants must be able to use stairs for welfare and room checks. Please note: the exact address is withheld due to the nature of the service, but it's based in the Ealing/Hanwell area. You’ll help ensure the service meets all contract and regulatory compliance, supporting the Head of Service with monitoring and development.

The role includes:

• Key focus of this role will be overseeing support related to substance misuse, ensuring effective interventions and pathways for service users
• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle

Key responsibilities

Team Support

• Calendar management for the Philanthropy Team, especially the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, including arranging external meetings for senior fundraisers.
• On-site support at events as required.
• Draft content for internal and external audiences, such as the internal newsletter, team updates or materials on programmes for funders.​Manage incoming enquires quickly and professionally. ​
• Create and maintain efficient processes for managing and recording fundraising enquiries and information on the CRM system (Salesforce). Support room bookings when required.

Salesforce

• Be the point of contact for creating Salesforce reports to help drive fundraising activity.
• Support the logging of meeting notes on Salesforce working with fundraisers to ensure effective knowledge management and appropriate follow-up.
• Support management of Salesforce accounts, ensuring accuracy and up to date information is recorded.
• Support the creation and development of individual dashboards to help track and increase fundraising.
• Responsible for updating Salesforce database with pro bono and volunteering project information including reporting and tracking information.

Donor engagement support

• Assist with research on donors and prospects.
• Support the Pro Bono function, for instance, supporting the sourcing and stewarding of pro bono support from individuals and companies; and with the onboarding and management of pro bono partners, including inductions and ongoing communication.
• Manage the distribution and dissemination of supporter care materials and fundraising merchandise.
• Support with the preparation of templates and collateral such as presentations and donor communications.
• Proofreading of applications, reports and external communications.​Write briefs for senior colleagues in advance of donor meetings.
• ​Demonstrate professionalism and best practice in all duties, comply with the organisation’s policies and procedures and proactively support the wider team to deliver our mission effectively.​

• Proven experience of working in an administrative role within the charity sector.

About this role

The Communications and Media Officer, part of SPANA’s Communications and Campaigns team, creates high-quality content and drives impactful communications to support the charity’s mission and raise the profile of working animals in the global news agenda.

The role involves producing engaging written, digital and visual content across multiple platforms, ensuring consistency with SPANA’s brand and messaging. It also includes managing and cataloguing content assets to support the organisation’s ongoing communications needs. Through compelling storytelling and collaboration across teams, the role helps drive awareness, advocacy, fundraising and internal engagement. The post holder will also support the Head of Communications and Campaigns in building and maintaining relationships with high-profile public figures, including celebrities and social media influencers.

Contract, location and salary

This is a full-time (34.5 hours per week), permanent role. SPANA works on a hybrid basis, with staff required to work for 1-2 days per month (or more if preferred) from our London office. Staff must be based in the UK with the current right to work.

The salary for this role is approximately £33,000 per annum subject to skills and experience. SPANA offers a generous package of benefits to employees, including a pension scheme where SPANA contributes 10% if the employee contributes at least 5%, healthcare cash plan and volunteer day.

This is an exciting job opportunity to join a dynamic and committed team in a front-line role to support and deliver the activities and services of elop’s LGBTQ+ Children & Young People’s Service.This role offers great opportunity to work innovatively and responsively to support the genuine needs of LGBTQ+ young people.

 In this role you will have opportunity to design and deliver innovative youth group support programmes (12- 24 year olds) & other activities; provide LGBTQ+ affirmative support, guidance and mentoring on a one-to-one basis; work with our wider family work programme, support families with LGBTQ+ children and deliver work in schools to students & teaching staff.  You will have the responsibity to support volunteer mentors.

You will be responsible for the direct delivery of elop’s LGBTQ+ Young Peoples Service, including promotion, & administration, along with the induction, support & supervision of volunteers and interns.  You will work alongside the wider staff team to support elop’s work with LGBTQ+ young people and contribute to sustainable service development.

The delivery of group support and activities will take place in person, and you will be office based three days a week with some remote working on other days before returning to full time in person working.

Full Time: 37 hours per week

You must be available to work Tuesday evenings & once a month on a Sunday afternoon.  There will be occasional other evenings / weekend working required.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of this role is to support the Governance and Events Team by undertaking events related operations for the 39th WAGGGS World Conference (taking place in June 2026), and any other WAGGGS events as needed.

The 39th WAGGGS World Conference is a four-day event that will take place in Cambodia in June 2026 in partnership with the host organisation, the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia. This is the main platform for decision-makers in our 153 Member Organisations to gather for networking, learning and consultation on the direction of the Movement. A pre-event for youth attendees under the age of 30 will take place before the conference. 

About the Role:

This role operates within a volunteer-led global charitable organisation with 153 Member Organisations. It provides the inspiration, knowledge and direction to continually protect and enhance WAGGGS’ rich legacy and expand its collective reach and impact. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and attendees from across our Movement - each bringing their own unique perspectives and experiences. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Be responsible for maintaining the registration site and event website (using the events management software, Cvent) including individual event databases, providing reports as required and ensuring good communication with participants via email. 

2. Provide administrative and logistical support for all aspects of online and in-person Event Management. This includes assisting volunteers and staff with registration and platform issues, and, if appropriate, travel arrangements and accommodation. 

3. Ensure internal and external communications with Member Organisations, participants, staff members and volunteers and event suppliers are timely, relevant and of a high quality. 

4. Undertake the processing of grants, invoices, staff and volunteer expenses and other related financial administration ensuring compliance with legislation and WAGGGS policies and guidelines. 

5. Writing, designing, and sending event documents and communications on time. Proof-reading of the documents and communications before sending them. 

6. Be responsible for, and able to evidence, own personal development by undertaking relevant training, attending meetings, conferences and events ensuring that you are updated in all matters relevant to the role within your Personal Development Plan agreed with your manager.

Finance Manager Job Description

Brent Mencap has been passionate about a healthier and fairer Brent since 1979. We’ve developed and run successful housing, employment, health, advice, wellbeing and self-advocacy services. During austerity and Covid we diversified, successfully taking on NHS work with people with long-term health conditions. We provide social prescribing support and health and wellbeing coaching to patients for Brent GPs. In 2024-25 we helped over 18000 people. We’re a leading partner on the Brent Health Educators Programme.

Our income has substantially  increased from £382k in 19/20 to £1.71 million in 23-24. We’ve had to adapt quickly, developing and retaining a much larger staff group, using our data better and improving our marketing.

Brent Mencap offers fantastic free creative and wellbeing activities for people with a learning disability, autism and long-term health conditions. These have flourished since Covid. People love yoga, poetry, singing, gardening, Breathe and Move, self-advocacy, campaigning, awareness raising, CREATE art activities for young people, external trips and parties. Small grants, donations and our reserves fund this while we get longer term funding. Our self-advocates want us to focus on paid employment, youth services and making Brent Council use accessible information properly.

Our current finance manager has been pivotal to Brent Mencap’s recent growth, adapting to paying more people, dealing with complicated invoices, making sure we get paid promptly, being as diligent about a project budget worth 5k as our overall budget and supportive with staff  wage queries. While there is lots of data input, reconciling, processing purchase orders, the role involves real involvement in project development, monitoring with other managers and face-to-face involvement with users and staff. It’s never boring and definitely not for the faint hearted!!

As Finance Manager for Brent Mencap, you will have a key leadership position. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of our finances, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements while ensuring our services are sustainable through sound financial planning. You will work closely with the Executive Director and Trustee Board to provide accurate insights and projections that support long-term growth and resilience.

You will play a pivotal role in reviewing and maintaining our robust finance and administrative system and procedures, managing risks and ensuring our charity finances can support delivery of our mission. You will also contribute to the development of funding applications, tenders, and financial strategies.
