About the role

Join Dementia UK as a Digital Marketing Executive and play a vital role in raising awareness of the charity’s services, engaging supporters and generating income through digital activity.

Working closely with the Digital team, you will support the development and delivery of the digital marketing strategy, with a particular focus on paid campaign management . You will be responsible for developing and launching key paid campaigns across social media channels, aligned with organisational objectives to maximise income and grow brand reach.

Collaborating with fundraising teams, you'll help shape and enhance supporter journeys through digital channels. The role also includes regularly reporting on the performance of live campaigns, as well as conducting post-campaign analysis and offering clear, data-driven recommendations across paid social and PPC.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need proven experience of managing digital campaigns using Meta, alongside a solid understanding of the Meta ad suite and experience of overseeing PPC campaigns. The ability to produce comprehensive campaign reports that clearly communicate results, insights and recommendations is essential.

Reporting into the Individual Giving Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the Individual Giving team. You will be responsible for the delivery of core elements of the Supporter Acquisition programme, developing engaging communications / products and activity across multiple channels, such as paid search and social, email, telemarketing and offline channels. The Advice Services Manager will take the lead on BIAS’s day-to-day advice services, managing a small team of welfare and housing advice specialists to ensure that we provide the highest-quality service to our clients. You will need to have experience of delivering front-line benefits and/or housing advice, strong people skills and the ability to build good working relationships with staff and clients, along with excellent organisational abilities to ensure that casework and projects are delivered on time.

In 2025, BIAS is expanding its successful Brent-based welfare and housing advice service into Haringey borough. The Advice Services Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager to build and develop the new advice service in Haringey, ensuring that we replicate our excellent quality of service, strong record of positive outcomes and loyal client base.

This role will also involve working with the leadership team to help identify areas for future development and support grant applications and reporting, which will give you the opportunity to have a direct impact on shaping the organisation’s future strategy and direction.

KEY WORK AREAS AND MAIN DUTIES

Staff management

• Managing a small advice team, ensuring the quality of the advice provided.

• Ensuring good teamwork and lines of communication between staff and partner organisations.

• Maintaining a small personal caseload (approximately one to two days’ work per week).
• Working with the Operations Manager to ensure that BIAS complies with Advice Quality Standard (AQS) requirements.
• Leading on monitoring service delivery, recording outcomes and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Managing all aspects of risk relating to advice delivery, complaints handling, safeguarding and GDPR.

Operational support

• Working with the leadership team as required on operational matters, including planning, strategy for future development and grant applications and reporting.

These are the basic duties required of the Advice Services Manager. However, it is necessary for all staff to be flexible and you may be required from time to time to perform other reasonable duties which are required for the efficient running of the organisation. We will also offer training opportunities to support your career development.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK. This role will be based in our advice offices in Willesden and Haringey[1] but there may be some options for flexible working (i.e. one or two days per week).

ABOUT BIAS

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. We deliver our support through our welfare advice drop-in service, our active ageing clubs and our Be-a-Friend volunteer scheme. We raise over £2 million in extra income for the most vulnerable every year and have over 3000 attendances at our club services. BIAS has exciting plans for further expansion in 2025 and has a range of medium- to long-term grant funding, including from Ireland’s Emigrant Support Programme.

Overall Objectives

• Working closely with the Head of Brand and Creative, develop and oversee brand, and integrated brand and marketing campaign activity, to build brand health, grow awareness of our widening work and support organisational objectives.
• Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive brand and brand marketing strategy and delivery of plans and activities in support. As part of this, oversee successful brand campaign planning and delivery, brand platform integration and rollout, and strategic brand development in relation to new areas of our organisational strategy.
• Strategically partner with Senior Managers across Battersea to lead the team in developing appropriate marketing strategies and plans, including supporting strategic work with Income Generation, Our Voice and Global Programmes.
• Drive excellence in marketing planning and use of resources so activities and investment are optimised in line with latest insight and learnings, including oversight of econometrics modelling.
• Lead and develop the team, and foster strong working relationships across Battersea and with external suppliers, to promote a culture where creativity and marketing excellence and effectiveness flourish.

To develop and deliver the charity’s policy and campaigning strategy and the charity’s programme of health projects to ensure the charity achieves its key objectives.  To build engagement with the NHS, Department of Health, Parliamentarians, policy makers, think tanks, charity and patient groups to develop and deliver our campaigning strategy.  Build engagement with HCP networks and related organisations to inform and support delivery of our health information work.

To be the owner and primary point of contact for FBC’s health policy and campaigning activities, working closely with the CEO to represent the interests of the charity with decision-making bodies such as UK government and Parliament, NHS, devolved health and social care bodies and other stakeholders.  The postholder will Influence key decision makers, collaborate in initiatives and comment on policy decisions to press for higher levels of research funding, organisational changes to drive earlier diagnosis and improvements in patient experience.

The post holder will have the ability to meld impactful campaigning, political astuteness and evidence-based policymaking to drive change with demonstrable sensitivity to health inequalities and other issues that affect bladder cancer patients and their families.

They will be organised and will be able to manage several tasks at once, meeting strict deadlines.

SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. It aims to raise awareness and understanding of all mental health conditions; fight to improve frontline mental health services for individuals and carers; provide support, information and guidance through SANEline, our Call Back service, email and text support; and promote and host research into causes, treatments and therapies through its Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE research.

About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated Wellbeing and Training Officer to support the wellbeing and development of our SANEline volunteers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our volunteers feel valued and supported to provide a high standard of emotional support to our callers.

Working closely with the Training and Volunteer Manager, you will help ensure that all volunteers receive timely, appropriate and emphatic support. You will also play role in delivering welfare support, planning and delivering training sessions and promoting volunteer engagement and retention.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide valuable, hands-on experience in delivering wellbeing support and training for volunteers who provide emotional support to vulnerable callers.

Salary: £27,000 -29,000 pro rata, depending on experience

About you:

- You must have proven experience of providing emotional support, counselling or therapy to adults.

- You must have proven experience of designing and delivering training in a professional setting.

- You are a warm and confident communicator with the ability to build trust and rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.

- You are a confident group facilitator, comfortable with delivering training to diverse groups and communicating complex topics with clarity.
