The Data Officer for our Finance and Data team will play a key part in ensuring accurate, timely data flows into Dynamics CRM and other platforms, supporting Fundraising, Marketing and Communications colleagues to make informed decisions, run effective campaigns and deliver brilliant experiences for our supporters.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for data, problem‑solving, and improving processes to make a real impact across the charity.

You will be responsible for supporting data load tasks by running pre‑defined scripts and updating source files, while also monitoring routine ETL jobs to identify and escalate any failures or irregularities. It includes carrying out basic investigations into data issues and contributing to data cleansing and validation activities to maintain high data quality. You will ensure accurate and complete imports of data from a variety of income sources into our CRM and maintain clear documentation of data processes, helping to improve and streamline data workflows.

· Support regular data imports and updates, following set processes.

· Monitor daily and weekly data jobs, flagging problems early and ensuring smooth data flows.

Our partner, a well-established international organisation, is seeking an experienced senior finance leader to provide strategic support during a period of organisational transition.

This is a high-impact interim role, working closely with the CEO, senior leadership team and Board to ensure that planned changes to the organisation’s operating model are financially robust, evidence-based and deliverable.

This is a key role within the organisation, working closely with the Chief Executive, Trustees and wider Senior Management Team. You’ll oversee all financial activity, ensure compliance with Charity SORP and relevant regulations, and support the organisation to operate efficiently and responsibly.

About the role

You will lead on all financial reporting, planning and compliance, and ensure financial information is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making. Board & Leadership

We are looking for a Technical Manager: Environmental Impact to join our team and support the development of rigorous analyses that enhance impact methodologies considering topics around the four capitals. In joining us, you will develop a comprehensive and standardized approach to corporate impact valuation in alignment with the vision of Capitals Coalition.

Working closely with internal colleagues and external partners, you will adapt and iterate methodologies based on an evolving corporate disclosure landscape and ongoing learning from market testing of impact valuation. You will also work closely with the Impact Value Standards Board (IVSB) and its secretariat hosted by the Capitals Coalition, with the aim to drive delivery of the IVSB’s mandate.

About Spear

We launched the award-winning Spear Programme over 20 years ago, and there are now 18 Spear Centres across the country, equipping unemployed 16–24-year-olds facing barriers to employment with the skills and mindset they need to secure work and thrive in the workplace.

Spear operates a joint venture model with churches across the UK to run our Spear Centres. Some Centres operate in collaboration with independent charitable trusts, while others are run directly with the local church (both referred to below as ‘Spear Church Partners’ or ‘Church Partners’) As a result, the Spear Partner Fundraising Manager role requires raising funds for both churches and charitable trusts.

About the role

Spear is in an exciting time of growth, as we expand our work nationwide. You will play a pivotal role in equipping new and existing Church Partners to build sustainable, thriving Spear Centres that transform young people’s lives. 

With an annual fundraising target of £125k, you will combine strategic insight, relationship-building and hands-on application writing, as well fundraising advice to help Church Partners grow diverse and resilient fundraising streams. Working closely with Trustees, Church leaders and Spear’s Central teams, you will strengthen funding pipelines, unlock new opportunities and ensure partners are supported every step of the way. 

Key information

• Salary: £37,000
• Contract: Full time (4 days considered) permanent. Monday – Friday with some out of hours work needed for events such as Spear Celebration. Ad hoc regional travel required to deliver training and support to partner churches.
• Annual leave: 28 days annual leave (including Christmas gift days) plus bank holidays

Person Specification

• A practising Christian, passionate about personally representing the values and beliefs of Spear, and our mission to equip and support young people facing barriers to employment.
• Creative, self-motivated forward planner who exercises initiative, with the ability to prioritise workload, including working well under pressure
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce persuasive, high-quality fundraising applications
• Effective interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence, with the ability to relate confidently to a range of stakeholders both, internally and externally
• Experience in fundraising, Trust and/or community fundraising desirable, with good working knowledge of other fundraising streams is desirable but not essential
• Strong quantitative skills including ability to work with and interpret impact data, fundraising pipelines and basic financial information 

We are an office-based organisation and value the collaboration and opportunities to work creatively and build community that this offers us, with staff spending time in the working week both at home and in the London office.

Location: Remote, with regular travel (approx. 4 to 5 times per month)

The organisation is a not-for-profit care home provider with locations throughout South England. Please note this role requires regular travel to the client's care homes, so willingness to travel and stay overnight is essential, and access to your own vehicle, whilst not necessary, would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Providing comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the CEO, and wider senior leadership team as required
• Supporting coordination of internal and external communications, ensuring accurate and timely engagement of stakeholders
• Helping with governance including coordinating meetings, taking minutes, and ensuring confidentiality
• Assisting with projects and events, including Summer and Christmas celebrations
• Leading on office management, ensuring the working environment is well organised

Requirements:

• Recent, relevant experience in a similar organisation within either a not-for-profit or health/care organisation
• Willingness to travel to care homes in South England and stay overnight as required
• Unparalleled written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
• A proactive and highly organised nature, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
• Strong ability to work both collaboratively and independently as needed
