Herts Young Homeless is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable people in Hertfordshire since 1998. We are professional, passionate, collaborative and supportive charity that provides guidance to everyone who is in need of support.

The successful candidate willdeliver a high-quality service to young people aged 16–17 and their families across Hertfordshire, working alongside the Family Link Work and Mediation services to prevent family breakdown and reduce repeat homelessness. They will also support the wider team and work collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure the service achieves its key performance indicators (KPIs).

Lead the hyh Hub, overseeing its day-to-day operations and ensuring the effective delivery of services. The Hub acts as a gateway for young people aged 16–17 to access hyh’s prevention services. In this role, you will build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, partners, and commissioners, while supporting the recruitment, training, and professional development of Advice & Information and Admin Workers. You will also monitor outcomes and produce reports for the leadership team and funders to demonstrate impact and inform future service development.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Office of Development and Alumni Relations team at the University of Southampton, creating and delivering a range of strategic communications for our alumni and supporter community.  

You’ll be responsible for planning and delivering a whole plethora of communication tools to support our fundraising and engagement, with a particular focus on our upcoming Campaign for Southampton. Due to launch in 2027, this will be our biggest fundraising campaign ever, with a target of £100m. One of our key fundraising focusses will be the Institute for Medical Innovation; we will raise £50m to build this groundbreaking facility, which will address the world’s most pressing healthcare challenges through interdisciplinary research. We are looking for an experienced communications professional to support us with creating engaging communications. You will be responsible for activities such as: 

• Developing compelling propositions
• Delivering the communications to support major gift prospect fundraising events, from creating invitations and shaping the themes, through to developing event materials and briefing speakers 
• Creating and editing a wide range of communications pieces for our major gift prospect audience, from written case studies through to web content and video 
• Managing the development and execution of new creative for the Campaign for Southampton
• Sourcing new stories and gathering information through interviews and desk research
• Supporting the team where needed on both fundraising and alumni engagement communications

This is a part-time role, working four days a week (but will consider 3.5 days), on a fixed-term contract for 24 months. Like many organisations we’re currently working hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in the office. There is the opportunity to work more days in the office as desired. PLEASE NOTE:  

• The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly across the wider area (travel expenses covered).  The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes.  

• There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.   

• The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Our client was founded in 2018 by the families and friends of people who had taken their own lives as a direct result of gambling. The charity supports people bereaved by gambling-related suicide, raises awareness of the devastating consequences of gambling disorder, and works to prevent gambling-related suicide. They are now recruiting for a Specialist Family Support Manager, a pivotal position for the organisation that will deliver evidence-based therapeutic support for bereaved families. This is a permanent, full-time role that will be based remotely (although travel will often be required due to service needs). Please note, you must hold a clinical qualification in a relevant therapeutic discipline to be considered.

As Specialist Family Support Manager, you will work as part of a dedicated, tight-knit team, delivering tailored, therapeutic interventions to families bereaved by gambling-related suicide. You will build consistent, compassionate relationships with families, supporting them to navigate investigations, inquests or research processes linked to gambling harms, ensuring they feel informed, represented and supported. You will ensure that all clinical practice adheres to safeguarding, risk management and professional standards, maintaining accurate and confidential records. You will also work across the wider organisation, providing clinical input into the design of training modules (including training for NHS clinicians and social care professionals) to raise awareness of gambling-related suicide.

You will have demonstrable experience of delivering therapeutic interventions with individuals and families affected by bereavement, addiction or mental health issues. Experience of designing/delivering training for professionals is desirable.

About You

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the postholder will be responsible for building on our existing community fundraising initiatives, which includes networks of loyal volunteers and church contacts – from international pilgrim participants completing fundraising treks to congregations organising bake sales. Brighton and Hove Speak Out is an innovative advocacy charity. We support people with learning disabilities to have a voice and choice and control over their lives by providing a range of advocacy services and community projects.

We are seeking to recruit an advocate for adults and young people (17+) with learning disabilities, who will:

• Deliver 1-1 advocacy casework on a broad range of issues that enables people with learning disabilities to express their views and wishes, understand their rights and options, communicate with professionals and address issues they face.
• Coordinate Speak Out’s Drop-in advocacy service, providing time limited 1-1 advocacy within drop-in sessions.
• Develop peer advocacy at drop-in sessions.

About you

The successful candidate will need excellent communication and organisational skills. They will be able to manage a complex workload and work independently within a framework of supervision. Experience of advocacy or work with vulnerable clients is essential. Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and knowledge of learning disability services is an advantage. A full induction and training will be provided as well as ongoing peer mentoring and support. It would be desirable for the successful candidate to hold the national qualification in independent advocacy, however this can be undertaken once in post.

The Miscarriage of Justice Support Service is a very unique service providing a broad range of support and advice to people whose criminal convictions are quashed by the Court of Appeal. The majority of people have been in prison for many years and need extensive help and support to begin to rebuild their lives based on their own individual needs.

One of our caseworkers is going on a sabbatical, which this role will cover, including 2 weeks of handover at the start, and 1 week at the end.

The role will support individuals in a broad range of areas including welfare benefits, housing, navigating access to GPs, mental health support, community services, and applying for grants or essentials post-release (e.g. white goods, clothing).

The role involves one-to-one contact in a way that best meets the person – for this role it will typically be by telephone and email, but it can also be in person. Clients live across England and Wales.

You will come with experience of providing advice and practical support to people with varied needs. You will have experience of working with a trauma-informed approach and have excellent people skills to build and maintain trusting relationships.

About the role:

This role is based in the Victim Help Centre, in St Asaph, North Wales and working in liaison with North Wales Police and other relevant agencies.

In this position you will:

• contact Victims by telephone to undertake a comprehensive needs assessment and commission a range of services to support identified needs if appropriate.
• refer victims to partner agencies and contact approved suppliers to deliver services to victims.
• direct referrals to appropriate colleagues to allocate Victim Support workers for further support.
• identify and manage the victims immediate service needs
• contribute towards risk assessment processes and following agreed safe contact processes
• record all contact securely.

The nature of service required will vary depending on individual circumstances and specified outcomes will be achieved through building trust and confidence with victims who will be vulnerable and have complex needs.

Level 4 Welsh Language skills and the ability to communicate fluently through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead SCF’s legacy fundraising programme, working closely with the Philanthropy Director and Senior Marketing Manager to create and deliver a legacy fundraising strategy.
• Lead on the creation and delivery of a stewardship framework to deliver an outstanding donor experience for SCF’s supporters and partners, including fundholders, corporate partners, charitable trusts, legacy pledgers and individual donors.
• Lead on ensuring the team are making best use of Salesforce to support effective portfolio management and reporting, and maintaining high-quality data.
• Lead on the delivery of our annual Fundholder Impact Reports, working collaboratively with the wider team including Finance and Programmes and embedding more efficient use of CRM and AI to support this.
• Work with our Senior Marketing Manager to create and deliver a high-quality stewardship events programme, including our Annual Celebration, donor visits to charities and research and insight events tailored to the interests of our supporters and partners.
• Work with the Philanthropy Director and Senior Philanthropy Manager to refresh and grow our mid-level giving programme, reviewing our existing donor base, embedding stronger donor journeys, and undertaking research and data analysis to explore new opportunities such as next-generation philanthropy.
• Lead on the delivery of SCF’s Surviving Winter Appeal and any ad-hoc emergency appeals.

Victim Support are looking for a full-time Victims Advocate to work on our Anti-Social Behaviour Project based in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

This role is working full time 37.5 hours per week and is offered on a fixed term basis until the end of March 2026.

About the Role:

This role is based in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. As a Victim Advocate you will:

• Support victims of Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Hate Crime.
• Collaborate with funders and partners to ensure optimal outcomes for victims.
• Provide specialist advocacy for victims with both complex and non-complex needs.
• Assist vulnerable, high-risk, and repeat victims of ASB.
• Engage in community work, liaise with the commissioner, and attend face-to-face appointments.
• Attend the monthly ASB MARAC (JAG) Meeting.

You will need:

• Experience working with vulnerable individuals and those affected by ASB and crime.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for data recording and reporting.

About the role:

This role is offered to work from the office in Portsmouth, full time.

As a Caseworker you will:

• Make calls to offer support to victims of domestic abuse, delivering immediate support.
• Develop, deliver and monitor safety and support plans for those affected by crime who accept ongoing support, which will include providing resources, interventions, and information to all service users
• Liaise and actively engage with other local providers to share information on the VS service offer and options for victims and survivors
• Use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential records and contribute to monitoring information including the collection of outcomes
• Working as part of a team with staff and the volunteer team to provide a seamless service to clients

You will need:

• Understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on victims and their families
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary or multi agency setting(s)
• Ability to balance competing needs and priorities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience of building effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholders
• Personal resilience to manage exposure to highly emotional or sensitive demands of the role
• Ability to manage a caseload including complex case management
• Ability to use generic IT applications competently.

This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement.
