The Information and Content Officer will be responsible for supporting the development, maintenance, and promotion of a comprehensive range of high-quality information resources for sarcoma patients, their families/carers, healthcare professionals, and the general public. Duties and key responsibilities: 

Content development:

• Work with the Information and Content Manager to research, write, edit and produce new information materials including print publications, web pages, videos, etc.
• Work in line with Sarcoma UK’s information production process, including:
  • Liaise with clinical experts and patient reviewers throughout the content development process
  • Maintain formal systems within the information production process in line with the PIF tick quality mark
• Ensure all new content meets clinical standards, brand guidelines, plain English principles, and accessibility requirements.

Content updates & maintenance: 

• Continuously review and update existing print and digital information resources to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a structured review schedule to keep materials current as per the PIF quality mark.
• Manage a comprehensive database to track all information resources and versions.

Content promotion & distribution:

• Work with colleagues to create promotional content for Sarcoma UK's information resources across multiple channels.
• Utilise social media platforms to extend reach and engagement with target audiences.
• Collaborate with internal communications and digital teams on content publishing and marketing.

Administration & reporting:

• Collect metrics and provide regular reports on content performance, user engagement and feedback.
• Assist in developing evaluation methods to assess impact of information resources.

General:

• To support new work within the information team.
• Work closely with healthcare professionals, people affected by sarcoma, and staff members.
• To attend Sarcoma UK events and take part in Sarcoma UK’s wider work.

Are you a great fundraiser with an interest in helping a growing and successful charity based in North-West England? All Aboard Youth Rowing – formerly known as Warrington Youth Rowing – is a charity established to support disadvantaged children achieve life skills using the sport of rowing.  An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative fundraising professional to coordinate and achieve additional funding.

The Role

The Fundraising Officer will coordinate all fundraising activities in line with the Charity’s overall strategy and sustainability plans.  Working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Fundraising Officer will identify sources of income and build good working relationships with funders to achieve agreed funding targets.

The role is based in the North-West of England working from home and ideally, the Fundraising Officer will be in one of the following locations:

- Cheshire

- Merseyside

Key areas of responsibility for the Fundraising Officer include:

• Contribute and assist with the development of a fundraising strategy for the Charity.

• Achieve the agreed funding target of newly sourced funding within the specified and agreed timeframe.

• Identify potential sources of funding and maximise opportunities to secure funding and grow and develop income.

• Develop relationships with funders aiming to achieve and maintain long-term partnerships.

• Maintain a database of funding sources, funders, and funding partners.

About You

The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have a background in fundraising.  They must be able to demonstrate a strong track record of securing funding from national funders, preferably for the youth or sport sector. They will have experience of monitoring the impact of community projects.  In addition, they will be adaptable and comfortable working on both their own initiative and as a team player.

About the Organisation

The Charity has a desire to grow and become more sustainable, the Fundraising Officer will play a key role in achieving this ambition.  The aim of the Charity is to enhance the life skills of disadvantaged youngsters using the sport of rowing.  The charity works closely with Henley Stewards Charitable Trust and British Rowing to help achieve this aim.

All Aboard Youth Rowing run programmes in Warrington, Merseyside, Northwich, Greater Manchester, Runcorn and North Staffordshire.

Local Motion Project Manager

The role

The post holder or this role will be responsible for the work of LocalMotion in Oldham and ensuring that local people, community organisations and institutions can collaborate to achieve their shared vision.

The shared purpose of LocalMotion is to learn how all elements of our societal structure, including funders, sectors, and citizens, can work together equitably within a geographical place to positively disrupt the normal patterns and vicious cycles that are holding communities back, to reimagine a more just future for everyone. The main things you will be asked to do in this role

· To provide effective and visible leadership of the LocalMotion work in Oldham, both within Oldham itself and within the wider LocalMotion movement and network.

· To ensure that Oldham’s LocalMotion work is delivered in line with LocalMotion aims and values and strives for excellence in coproduction and collaborative practice.

· To actively connect with people, communities organisations and institutions in order to maximise the reach and impact of this opportunity.

· Work with the local coordination group to establish the ways of working and processes required to share power and devolve resources and leadership to drive forward the work to achieve our local vision.

· To ensure the local coordination group in Oldham is well supported, is reflective of the communities of Oldham and has the practical support it needs to carry out its functions and responsibilities.

· To ensure that the LocalMotion resources are spent in accordance with the grant agreement, the budget and that all reporting, due diligence and learning requirements are met.

· To ensure the LocalMotion work in Oldham is well documented, and we are able to share learning and impact with key stakeholders.

About the role

The main purpose of the role is to coordinate the Methodist Church’s response to the arrival of Hong Kong nationals in Great Britain.  

This will involve liaising with the Methodist Church in Hong Kong and with circuits and local churches in Britain to ensure pastoral support for Hong Kong Methodists as they make the transition to this country.  You will help to motivate local circuits and churches to welcome and integrate the new arrivals into congregations, and you will provide support and training to facilitate this.  You will also develop connections with Cantonese-speaking groups and congregations already in existence, and may be involved in facilitating the formation of new ones.  Establishing connections and fostering supportive relationships to enable an effective network that brings together Methodists from Hong Kong and British churches, is key to your role.

Bilingual in written and spoken Cantonese and English and a confident communicator in both languages.  You enjoy bringing people together and helping form new groups and congregations.  As this role will entail working with circuits and local churches, you will need strong project management and administrative skills. As a Projects Officer for Live Unlimited you'll be helping to make a difference to the lives of care experienced young people living in Barnet, north London.

Here at Live Unlimited our vision is that all care-experienced children and young people are able to achieve their potential and lead happy, fulfilled lives.

Most care experienced young people will have experienced trauma and adverse childhood experiences before they went into care system. 

Early intervention is key and we know at Live Unlimited the life-changing impact our schemes can make. Reporting to: Operations Director & Fundraising Manager

Location: Flexible and remote working is offered to all of our staff. We have an office based in Colindale, London, which we tend to work around two days per week, with two days remote working.

About the Role: This is an interesting and varied role. As the post holder you'll be not only be setting up, administering and delivering schemes and activities to benefit Barnet’s looked after young people, you'll also be creating marketing materials and supporting fundraising events.  Promoting the work of our charity is key too through updating our website, writing our quarterly newsletter and social media channels, as well as supporting the running and administration of the charity. 

About You:

You'll have experience of managing and delivering projects, schemes or activities and supporting administrative tasks including keeping accurate records, financial tracking and expenditure.
 
You'll also have experience of creating engaging content for newsletters, websites and/or social media channels especially Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver common goals.
 
Having a passion for Live Unlimited’s vision and objectives is very useful in this role. We particularly welcome applicants with experience or being a looked after child, care leaver or personal experience of the care system.

Working hours: 28 hours (4 days per week) Could be split across five days. Core hours: 10am-4pm

Salary: £135.35pd for 4 days per week (£35,191 FTE) The role is for 12 months with a view to possible extension dependent on funding. Would consider suitable candidates interested in working 21 hours (3 days per week).
