About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as our Individual Giving Officer (Stewardship). This is a vital new role sitting in our recently expanded Fundraising Campaigns and Individual Giving team.

You will deliver a defined stewardship strategy and supporter care programme aimed at engaging with donors in a range of ways, to ensure that both new and existing donors are appropriately acknowledged, recognised, and informed about the impact of their giving – providing the highest quality of relationship with our charity.

You will develop and drive forward a cohesive multi-channel stewardship and supporter care programme that supports and engages all those who give through our individual giving programme, including cash and regular donors. You will ensure that supporters receive a level of relationship that is personalised to their level and pattern of giving. 

You will build important relationships with colleagues across the Development Office, including working with Philanthropy colleagues to engage mid-value donors with stewardship events. You will also work closely with our Communications colleagues to develop and deliver stewardship mailings to our target audiences.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will plan, manage and deliver a multi-channel stewardship and supporter care programme to communicate with our supporters in a range of ways that makes them feel valued and informed – and build relationships with them to keep them engaged with our work and increase their level of giving in the longer-term.

You will:

• Work with your Manager to devise and implement strategies for supporter stewardship, ensuring individuals are thanked, informed and engaged.
• Be responsible for analysing data and insights to develop segmented and personalised stewardship plans, that reflect donor interests and motivations.
• Manage, coordinate and produce a regular and consistent programme of communications with donors, including annual impact report and SEARCH magazine.
• Manage the supporter care function, to enhance donor stewardship by providing personalised and timely thank you communications – and high-quality data practices.
• Identify opportunities to upgrade donors to higher levels of giving and inspire loyalty.
• Be responsible for managing and coaching your team to deliver activities to agreed objectives and KPIs, and for their personal development.
• Be responsible for ensuring stewardship plans are aligned with wider activities in Individual Giving, and that communications are seamless, appropriate and timely.
• Work with colleagues to develop and implement new supporter journeys, integrating offline and online giving, ongoing contact and experiences.
• Work with Philanthropy and Events teams to identify opportunities for new events and other innovative ways to develop mid-value donor relationships. 

About You

You are a confident and experienced fundraiser, who is passionate about building deep and lasting relationships with supporters, and who is adept at creating inspiring and personalised communications, events and experiences to engage them with our research and to highlight the impact of their support.

To be successful, you’ll need:  

• Proven experience and in-depth knowledge of stewardship and supporter care best practices, ideally in a charity setting

• Excellent relationship management skills and ability to engage a variety of audiences

• Experience of leading and motivating internal and external stakeholders

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write compelling copy across a range of channels, with attention to detail

• Experience of developing and implementing clearly defined supporter journeys across multiple channels

• Experience of working in a supporter care environment, including experience of face-to-face contact with supporters or customers

• Knowledge of fundraising laws, regulations, and best practices in the UK

This is a key role to work with an exciting community taking lead responsibility for the looking after key aspects of existing and new membership. You will be working alongside an experienced team supporting the Liberal Jewish Synagogue, the largest Liberal Synagogue in the UK, to be the best it can be. 

Your role will touch all aspects of the synagogue with a particular focus on looking after new members, the membership process and members in general, acting as a key conduit to ensure that our members receive the best service we can provide. You will also ensure that ourCRM system is up to date and important data and information can be pulled form it. 

You will support bereaved families in the immediate aftermath of a death by organising funerals, shivas and stone-settings.

Additionally you will support our Senior Rabbi in her work including diary management and ensuring, working alongside others, that life cycle and important religious festivals are being managed and delivered to the highest standards. 

Senior Rabbi PA

Support the Senior Rabbi in all aspect of their work to include:-

o Administrative and secretarial support for the Senior Rabbi including correspondence, diary management and to act as their first point of contact for enquiries by phone, email and in person

o Liaise and work alongside the member of staff (Office Administrator) who is PA for the other Rabbis and supporting when necessary

o Meet with Senior Rabbi regularly to review weekly diary, plan for the future and complete event forms

o Work closely with the Office Administrator (who organises all internal and life cycle events) to develop efficient procedures, printing and systems to ensure organisation of all life cycle events (including baby blessings, Bar-Bat Mitzvahs, Kabbalat Torah, weddings and mixed faith blessings, conversion, admission ceremonies).

o Assist with planning and coordination of events generated by the Senior Rabbi

o Keep timetables of all life cycle events coordinating with office staff to ensure these events and linked celebrations are delivered effectively

o Keep a tracking system that logs where proselytes are on their conversion journey.

o Liaise with the LJS Community Care Co-ordinator and other contacts over pastoral and other issues being dealt with by the Senior Rabbi.

Role overview

Contract type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week Monday to Friday). Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.

Salary: Starting at £25,244 FTE with potential annual step increases up to £28,412, plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, the trustees consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.

Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are based between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference. About the Role

Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no day is the same This role requires using your initiative and proactive attitude than reactive.

You will also be working with women who are in trauma and can be in crisis requiring you to be empathetic but aspirational. You will provide advice and support to women who have experienced domestic abuse in a refuge setting, across the three sites.  You will carry out risk and needs assessments, develop support plans and carry out key work with women survivors. You will be expected to work in one of the three Refuges as part of your role

Job role tasks include:

• Support – Induction, Risk Assessments, Domestic Abuse, Mental Health, Benefits, Debt Advice, Move On, maintain accurate recording on Solace case management system and ensure regular reviews are carried out.
• Frontline delivery of support directly to service users.

About You

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support to victims of domestic and sexual violence.  An in depth understanding of the needs of women and children from a diverse background is essential. 

You will have experience of managing risk and following case management procedures to meet the needs of the client group, with the ability to work with women to help them to understand their needs, risk assess, develop safety plan and support them in linking with other agencies.

You should have an understanding of the homelessness process, either professionally or personally. You will also have a working knowledge of the available legal remedies, housing and welfare benefits, as well as experience of providing workshops.

Outside of this, you will have excellent administrative and time management skills and the ability to effectively manage a caseload.

Working Hours

Our Young People need care 24/7 so we have fixed rotas, with staff needing to be able to commit to weekends and bank holidays.

For Waking Night support staff; shifts are 11.5 hours from 20:00 - 07:30 or 21:00 - 08:30, on average you will be working 40 hours a week.

There is always the possibility to do overtime if you need a bit extra, this is paid time and half; same as bank holidays.

We are seeking an experienced Legacy Marketing Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our legacy marketing programme.

Legacy gifts are our single largest source of voluntary income, with significant potential for growth. To recognise this, we have secured additional investment to help us engage, inspire and acquire new legacy supporters through multi-channel marketing activities.
