As a not-for-profit business, we reinvest our surpluses wisely and in addition to purchasing several homes for the people we support, our head office, we have recently purchased a farm with twelve acres in South Shropshire to develop our farm-based day opportunities, whilst providing longer term development opportunities over the next five to ten years.
The current incumbent has decided to retire (early) and has successfully made the job his own over the last five-years. Therefore, we are reluctantly seeking a replacement to join our executive management team.
The successful candidate will lead on all fiscal and IT issues and be accountable for these functions across Bethphage. This role will demand a strong commercial financial acumen, as these are difficult times for our sector. We are operating in an environment of disappointing settlements from commissioners and proposed changes in legislation which will complicate the supply of staff. Fortunately, the organisation has been well and prudently managed so has strong foundations.
The key purpose of the role is to provide professional leadership to Bethphage's fiscal agenda, ensuring their efficacy and fit with the organisation's values, ethos, culture and strategy. With strategic responsibility for finance and IT you will ensure that the organisation has highly effective well-implemented operational strategies, which align to Bethphage's core business, and deliver positive outcomes.

Core Duties
1. You will play a key part in ensuring we achieve our mission to be an excellent provider of services to people with disabilities.
2. Maintain and develop robust financial systems that ensure the utmost standards of governance and financial compliance, delivering a clean audit annually.
3. Manage the annual budgeting, forecasting, planning and treasury process ensuring the organisation remains of a sustainable footing.
4. Support senior teams to create growth strategies and plans
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, especially those within commissioning roles within Local Authorities.
6. Advise the CEO and Executive Management Team on all matters relating to financial performance
7. Lead, motivate and manage the finance team
8. To contribute to the management of all contracts and contract reviews.
9. Finance lead for all new tenders and bids.
10. To lead and manage Insurance negotiation and all claims activity
11. Responsible for the management of the external IT contract and organisational lead of information technology.
12. Prepare annual accounts and manage the audit process, ensuring governance, the highest standards of best practice, and compliance.
13. Control all financial and accountancy matters including month end reports, management accounts, cash flow management, statutory accounts, compliance, presentation of management information and KPIs
14. Support the business through change and growth periods, coordinating corporate finance, debt, taxation, equity, acquisitions, and VAT registration.
15. To manage and coordinate the fiscal relationships between the holding company and subsidiaries.

This is alongside developing and managing both strategic and operational long-term partnerships & collaborations across communities in the North-West and building and executing an engaging and effective Volunteer Programme to support all Community workshops.
This role supports strand one of DanceSyndrome’s ambitious strategy; Vision 2023; ‘To deliver an outstanding, collaborative, and high-quality programme of co-produced and co-delivered inclusive dance across the North-West’.
We are looking for an exceptional, experienced, self-motivated, and enthusiastic individual to represent DanceSyndrome at the heart of our communities taking our inclusive person-centred offering to the next level.
You will pro-actively support our timetable of weekly Community inclusive dance workshops ensuring they operate to the highest standards of Quality & Excellence and making sure that all systems and processes are in place in relation to security, registers and payments.
You will line manage the Programmes & Operations Manager and Data & impact Manager and collectively drive forward all aspects of our Community work to the highest standards.
You will manage key partnerships with Community Centres and be instrumental in engaging and onboarding new participants supporting DanceSyndrome’s ambitious Vision 2030 strategy to increase participation, and reach under-served and diverse communities, as well as executing our Children & Young People strategy working across all ages.
You will identify, understand and engage with key partners and Stakeholders who can support DanceSyndrome’s ambitions to be the ‘go to’ and ‘organisation of choice’ for people with learning disabilities, leadership opportunities and an inclusive unique co-led delivery model which doesn’t exist anywhere else. Through effective partnership working, you will work across sectors and reach under-served and diverse communities. You will also be able to identify key barriers to access, gaps in current provision across the region and seek valuable evidence to inform strategy and to feed back to funders.
You will be an extremely personable and approachable individual with a strategic mind, and persuasive manner who is able to reach and attract new participants, increase engagement in our Community workshops, and secure local community engagement to ensure the long-term sustainability of DanceSyndrome’s community offering.
You will turn leads in sales in a variety of ways from initiating unusual and impactful partnerships, growing the number of beneficiaries, increasing sales of our products and services, securing in-kind support and vital funding.
You will also develop and manage an engaging and rewarding Volunteer Programme across key communities including recruiting, training, onboarding and retaining volunteers.

Salary: Circa £40,000
Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid
Hours: Full time and fixed term for 12 months. 35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am – 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. Key Responsibilities
Programme Coordination
- Lead and coordinate the Baking, Wellbeing, and Life Skills Programme, ensuring alignment with Bramber Bakehouse’s mission, vision, values, and theory of change.
- Oversee and support the team, working closely with the baking and wellbeing facilitators and volunteers to deliver the programme to a high standard.

- Provide group and, if needed, one to one supervision meetings for volunteers.

Programme Administration

About the team
This is an important role based in a busy Operations team which covers office management, information technology, finance and human resources. The team play a key role in supporting the organisation to achieve its mission of supporting young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed.
The Operations team comprises the Director of Finance and Operations, HR and Learning Manager, Head of Finance, HR Officer, Finance and Operations Assistant and a part time Administrator. Payroll and IT support are outsourced.
About this role
The Executive Assistant (EA) to the Chief Executive at Impetus plays a vital role in providing high-level administrative and project management support to the Chief Executive and ensuring the smooth operating of the Senior Management Team (SMT). The EA acts as a key liaison between the Chief Executive and internal/external stakeholders, managing sensitive information and handling a wide range of administrative and executive support tasks.
This dynamic position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer creative solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Key responsibilities
Executive Support:
- Provide sophisticated calendar management for the Chief Executive.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to the Chief Executive, including those of a highly confidential or critical nature.
- Prioritise and determine the appropriate course of action, referral, or response, exercising judgement to reflect the Chief Executive’s style and organisational policy.
- Prioritise inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts; make judgements and recommendations to ensure smooth day-to-day engagements.
- Anticipate the Chief Executive’s needs (e.g. travel bookings, briefings, preparation time) in advance of meetings, conferences, etc.
- Coordinate all SMT meetings and offsites and assist with staff meetings and events as needed.
