About the Service

Our 24 hour specialist supported accommodation service provides support for women affected by any form of violence, including domestic abuse and/or sexual violence who are experiencing poor mental health and/or problematic use of substances, to build towards an independent future. This service is a high needs service.

The team delivers one to one support in the form of weekly keywork sessions working within a psychologically informed framework to create support plans with residents and build on skills and competencies. We use a strengths-based approach in the hope that service users can move on into the community or a lower needs service to live a better quality of life whatever that may look like for the individual.

In addition, the team is responsible for the building management including Health and Safety, void turn over, financial management, the repairs and living environment.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the postholder will work closely with colleagues across the Income Generation and Marketing teams to deliver on a positive donor/ supporter experience with the aim of retention of current supporters for the long-term as well as acquisition of new donors, maximising the potential of all of our supporters. • Leadership & Budget Mastery: Experience in leading and managing a small, high-impact team of specialists, coupled with expertise in annual budget planning, forecasting, and reforecasting.
• Engagement & Digital Expertise: Deep expertise in developing and optimising complex supporter loyalty programmes and automating multi-channel journeys, including proficiency in email marketing.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

This is a critical operational leadership role that is responsible for the operation of the
organisation’s supported accommodation services.

Providing operational leadership to team managers and ensuring compliance with
organisational, contractual, local authority and legal regulations and the quality of
services is pushed to the highest possible standards; ensuring excellent outcomes for
residents and a positive and high performing working environment for teams.

This role will also be accountable for the development of excellent relationships with
external partners, commissioners, and other key stakeholders for support services in
the organisation.

You will be a key member of the charity's Extended Leadership team

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Service Delivery

• Lead in setting organisational standards and performance targets across the
support and resident services teams that reflect contractual requirements and
organisational standards.
• Actively promote and develop person centred practices based on a trauma
informed approach and psychologically informed environment to working with
residents with high support needs and challenging behaviour.
• Be accountable for the operational performance of the services, allocating
resources strategically to ensure that key performance indicators are achieved
and that action plans are in place where required to improve service
performance.
• Remodelling to promote accountability and co-production approaches with
residents.
• Work with the Head of Building & Facilities to ensure your teams put health &
safety procedures into practice to create a safe environment for our residents
and staff. Contribute, and when required, lead on the formation and review of
policies and procedures.

• Contribute to the Frontline Service’s Management On Call rota, providing
support to frontline services outside of office hours

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with Commissioners and regulatory bodies to enable
the service to meet contractual and regulatory KPI's and requirements.
• Submit management information on a monthly and quarterly basis and produce
other statistics and data as directed by the Director of Frontline Services.
• Responsible for effective liaison with outside agencies including the police, social
services and other statutory and voluntary agencies and delegating this work
where appropriate.
• Represent the organisation externally at forums, conferences and meetings.
• Contribute to the wider management team in frontline services to ensure good
communication, coordination and consistency of practice, approach and
development across the Directorate.

Business Planning and Project Management
• Drive business planning activities within contracts, ensuring relevant and

budgets for income and expenditure for support and resident services and to

Managing and Developing People
• Take a leading role in developing a positive, values-based organisational
culture, in line with the charity's Your Place Way approach
• Developing performance targets and quality control measures for teams, and
monitoring performance to ensure that these are met.
• Supporting managers and teams by setting clear objectives and holding
individual supervisions regularly.
• Ensuring good communication across teams by holding team meetings
regularly, and additional briefings as necessary.

our services that is responsive to resident needs.

Barnardo's is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to join our Fundraising & Marketing Directorate as Interim Head of Individual Giving. This is a pivotal senior management role, responsible for leading a team delivering a supporter and data focused fundraising programme, inspiring the public to donate, do more and build loyalty through authentic and compelling communications aligned to Barnardo's strategy. It is a critical income stream—raising over £13 million annually.

About the Role 

As Head of Individual Giving, you will lead a high-performing team of fundraising specialists across regular giving, cash, raffle, lottery, and legacy marketing. You will support in the development of the long term growth plan, work in inter disciplinary teams on campaign development and delivery supporting your team in this new way of working and be responsible for executing the plan so that it drives growth in acquisition, retention, and lifetime value of supporters. 

You will play a key role in the Fundraising & Marketing Leadership Team, contributing to the development of the charity's overarching fundraising & marketing strategic plan and embedding a culture that strives for excellence, focuses on continual improvement, and delivers in collaboration with others. 

This is a role for a experience professional who can translate insight into action, lead complex programmes with agility, and inspire teams to deliver outstanding results. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Strategic Leadership: Support the development of a Fundraising & Marketing growth plan and deliver a multi-year Individual Giving programme that supports sustainable income growth and deepens supporter engagement. 

• Programme Oversight: Lead the planning, delivery, and optimisation of multi-channel fundraising campaigns, ensuring they are data-driven, audience-centric, and aligned with Barnardo's brand values. 

• Financial Stewardship: Manage a multi-million-pound income and expenditure budget, with responsibility for forecasting, contingency planning, and risk mitigation. 

• Cross-Organisational Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across Digital, Brand & Marketing, Supporter Care, Services and Compliance, Supporter Data & Insight, Communications and Children's Services to deliver integrated campaigns and a seamless supporter experience. 

• Insight led continual improvement: Embed a culture of test-and-learn, using market intelligence, segmentation, and performance data to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement. 

• Leadership & People Development: Lead and develop a large team of direct and indirect reports, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting professional growth. 

About You 

You are a senior fundraising professional with: 

• A proven track record in strategic planning and delivery within a large, complex organisation. 

• Extensive experience in direct marketing and individual giving, with demonstrable success in income growth and supporter engagement. 

• Strong financial acumen and experience managing substantial budgets. 

• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to influence at all levels.

Headway is seeking a passionate and driven Individual Giving Fundraiser to join our Fundraising Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting people affected by brain injury by helping us grow and nurture our individual donor base.

About the Role

You will lead on managing and developing our portfolio of individual donors, including Friends of Headway members, regular givers and cash appeal donors, and in-memory supporters. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and the Marketing Manager, you’ll deliver engaging campaigns, strengthen donor relationships, and help us meet vital income targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver donor appeals and campaigns across multiple channels.
• Implement stewardship programmes to increase long-term donor support.
• Manage donor journeys and CRM data, to maximise income and engagement.

The post holder will be required to coordinate and attend events across the UK, including our annual national conference in London and other planned regional events throughout the year. Travel and occasional overnight stays may be needed.

Role Purpose

The Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organising, and delivering a varied programme of impactful events for service users, volunteers, and the wider cardiomyopathy community. These include, but are not limited to, supporting logistics, planning and execution of information days, medical education events, webinars, volunteer development days, and the charity’s annual national conference.

The role covers the full lifecycle of event management, from concept and planning through to delivery and evaluation. This includes oversight of event budgets, supplier and stakeholder management, and ensuring all events are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget. Events will be delivered both in person and online, so confidence in managing virtual and in-person events is essential.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the charity, the Events Coordinator ensures that every event is accessible, engaging, on budget and aligned with Cardiomyopathy UK’s mission to improve the lives of people affected by cardiomyopathy.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Delivery

• Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to define event objectives, content, themes, budgets, and logistical requirements.
• Plan and deliver a varied programme of events including information days, medical education sessions, webinars, volunteer development days, and the annual national conference.

Essential
