We are looking for a Coordinator to join our Programme team.  We want you to use your creativity to help children, young people and adults transform their lives, the services they use and the communities they live in. This role will focus on supporting the delivery and development of Youth Programmes and initiatives across the organisation.

You will join a team led by our Head of Programmes and which includes four other Coordinators and our Programme Manager.

Post 1 is a Full-time post - 35 hours per week.

Children and Young People’s Engagement Coordinator

We are looking for an Independent Living Skill Coordinator to line manage and support the delivery of the Independent Living Skills programme including Out and About, Home Cooking Skills and My Life, My Way. You will work with the Independent Living Skills and Creative Programmes Manager to ensure we deliver a creative programme which maximises the potential of our students, makes best use of Share resources and local partnerships, and supports students to develop the skills to live more independent fulfilling lives.

Share is a registered charity and a centre for training and wellbeing. We provide a range of programmes helping adults with learning disabilities, autism and other support needs become more happy, healthy, and independent. Main responsibilities 

• You’ll manage the delivery of our Independent Living Skills programmes across our sites, looking to ensure they are delivered to the highest standard 
• You will ensure all Independent Living Skills programmes are comprehensive, impacting students beyond the classroom, including exploring the opportunities for delivery in the community and home setting 
• You will line manage the Independent Living Skills Tutors and ensure they have adequate resources to deliver sessions 
• You will work with tutors to meet organisational strategic goals with a focus on activities which support progression on the Outcomes Star

The project:

We are in the process of expanding our service beyond our London footprint to Bedfordshire, Essex, Hampshire, Hertfordshire and Kent, along with Thames Valley, providing one-to-one advocacy and specialist work including workshops and group activities delivered by Advance in partnership with voluntary organisations.

This role plays a critical part in coordinating the group offering for women accessing our services, as well as providing administration support across the region.

In short you will:

•    Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach. 

•    Hold responsibility for the Minerva telephone number and email account in your region. 

•    Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region. 

•    Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria.  

•    Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events.

•    Manage administration for the Kent Minerva team

•    Assist the Service Manager with the quality assurance and collation of data and information as required, including for funder reports.

As a Lived Experience Coordinator, you’ll deliver a programme of involvement activities with the aim of ensuring the views and experiences of individuals with lived experience of bad housing or homelessness informs all of Shelter’s work. We’ll also rely on you to deliver involvement activities across the organisation which will shape the ongoing design, delivery and governance of our work. People with lived experience will be involved in a range of ways too, including involvement groups, taking part in events within local communities, co-designing services and campaigns, sharing stories and speaking out about the housing emergency. The overriding aim is to work closely alongside people with lived experience to influence and steer the direction of Shelter’s work, so that lived experience informs everything we do.

Training Link is recruiting a new Green Learning Coordinator who will develop and run environmental workshops for local residents in Somers Town, Camden.

The purpose of the role is to design and deliver a new Green Learning programme for Training Link and to support residents in Somers Town in their journey to becoming cleaner and greener through community engagement, training and project delivery.

About Training Link

Training Link is a small charity with nearly 40 years’ experience of supporting people in Somers Town. We offer courses for adults to help people get a job or return to work, often after a long absence. Many of our learners are reluctant to go to a large adult education college where in practice they would receive little individual support in their learning; we offer a supportive, friendly learning environment where people feel comfortable and welcomed.  Current classes include ESOL, IT and Maths. We also provide one to one sessions for those needing support around literacy. 

Purpose of the role: 

• To design and deliver new Green Learning programme for Training Link.
• To develop and run high quality, engaging, fun and interactive community-based environmental awareness classes and activities tailored to adult learners, including learners speaking English as a second language.
• To support residents in Somers Town in their journey to becoming cleaner and greener through community engagement, training and project delivery.
• To help Training Link team to positively engage and communicate with local residents and community leaders/ groups on climate emergency and positive actions.
• To create a welcoming, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• To enable those learners who wish to study further to gain an accredited qualification in Environmental Awareness, including environmental awareness in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities: 

• To record and monitor learners’ attendance, progression and achievement.
• To contribute to the evaluation of teaching and learning to inform future planning, ensuring learner involvement in the process.
• To keep up to date with local and wider issues related to the Climate Emergency, from a lay person’s perspective.
• To liaise with the Director and participate in the appraisal process when required.

Essential Requirements for the Role

• Knowledge and Qualifications:
• Good understanding of the Climate Crisis and what can be done at a grass roots level to address it.
• An adult teaching or coaching qualification is desirable, or willingness to be working towards one.
• Ability to think creatively and use judgement, experience and initiative to solve problems
• An aptitude for collaboration and cross team working
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to engage and communicate effectively with all sections of the community, in a variety of situations, including the confidence to present to different and represent Training Link at events

At Harrogate Homeless Project our vision is that nobody in the Harrogate District has to sleep rough. Each year we help hundreds of people experiencing homelessness to get the support they needto build confidence and move towards independent living.

Harrogate Homeless Project is seeking to recruit a Volunteer Coordinator to join the Fundraising and Marketing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the growth and development of Volunteering within the organisation. Working with the Fundraising and Marketing Manager, the position will look to develop opportunities for increasing income across fundraising and recruiting volunteers for all areas of HHP activities.

The post holder will be responsible for the recruitment, induction and training of all new volunteers to HHP, and providing ongoing support to staff on volunteer processes.

​The Role

This role will work with HHP’s Management Team to develop opportunities for all areas within the Charity. Regular activities will include, developing recruitment campaigns to promote volunteering with HHP, ensuring all volunteers receive an induction and appropriate training, and identifying specific skills volunteers have developed and matching these to suitable volunteer opportunities to maximise the benefits for HHP and the volunteer.

There will be a particular focus on fundraising within this role, working closely with the Fundraising and Marketing Manager to actively build relationships with local businesses and organisations. Focusing in particular on promoting corporate volunteering and maximizing all support to help identify any potential fundraising opportunities for the Charity.

General responsibilities

Ø  Liaise closely with all departmental heads to identify potential volunteer opportunities.

Ø  Recruitment of all new volunteers to HHP through a variety of methods.

Ø  Overseeing the training and induction to include all external volunteers have a current DBS check.

Ø  Record supporter/volunteer details on the database.

Ø  Ensure storage of personal information is complaint with current regulations.

Ø  Provide a monthly report showing recruitment activities including induction, training and hours of volunteering.

Ø  Obtain feedback from volunteers and/or employers on the volunteer experience and use the feedback to improve the volunteer/supporter journey.

Ø  Build relationships with local corporate organisations to promote volunteering opportunities and recruit volunteers.

Ø  Be responsible for all corporate volunteers through the entire volunteer cycle.

Ø  Identify potential fundraising opportunities to be discussed with the Fundraising and Marketing Manager.

Ø  Develop, maintain and update as required a ‘Volunteer Presentation’ which can be used to support volunteer recruitment activities in corporate organisations.

Ø  Work with external organisations to identify volunteering/development opportunities.

Ø  Match specific skills that volunteers have developed to suitable volunteer opportunities.

Ø  Attend courses and conferences and seek to gain any necessary qualifications, which are relevant to the work and as, approved by the Fundraising and Marketing Manager.

Harrogate Homeless Project provides people experiencing homelessness with a safe place to stay and the support they need to build confidence and move towards independent living.

The Victory Services Club (VSC) is a successful charity which provides membership services to serving & retired members of the UK Armed Forces, NATO, Commonwealth, and their families. The Club, which is close to Marble Arch, has 200 bedrooms, extensive dining facilities, and seven Event Rooms which are available for Club members. Their Event Rooms are hired to generate revenue for the charity. The Club operates a number of schemes to provide free breaks for serving members of the Armed Forces. The Role
Working across all areas of marketing in the business including Front of House, Membership, Events and Food & Beverage. You will be responsible for all aspects of Marketing including updating the website with new content and imagery using CMS, producing and sending out the monthly e-newsletter, producing and replenishing marketing material and supporting on all marketing projects including print and digital campaigns.

Job Purpose: To support the CHS Alliance secretariat to ensure it delivers professional external events that meet the needs of our key audiences and advance our strategic goals, on time and within budget. Primary focus of this role will be the coordination and logistical management of the General Assembly in December 2024.

 

Background: The Events Coordinator role sits within the Network Engagement and Communications department and works closely with staff across the CHS Alliance, including those working on CHS outreach, HR/Governance and the Executive Director, on events organisation and delivery.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

Event coordination

1. Coordinate the team and workplan to support smooth and timely delivery of key CHS Alliance events, with particular focus on the General Assembly (GA) taking place in Bangkok 5-6 December 2024.

2. Prepare and attend event working group meetings (e.g. set agenda, organise doodle polls, book conference rooms, take notes, etc.) 

3. Overseeing and updating the event workplan (e.g. gannt chart), flagging upcoming milestones and deadlines to event lead

 

Event logistics

4. Assist in identifying service providers by providing quotes and completing any other tasks requested by the line manager or event lead.

5. Procure supplies for event and ensure all material needed on site is prepared and up to date.

6. Follow up with the venues; liaise with the venue prior to, during and after the events.

7. Assist with all logistical aspects linked to catering, refreshments, room equipment (incl. audio visual), stationery, signs and identification (badges, etc.), and trip booking (hotels, flights, visa) where required, etc.

 

Communications & IT

8. Set up events on relevant platform (e.g. Zoom, CHS Alliance website)

9. Prepare and update registrations and participants’ lists

10.  Draft and send communication materials to participants, using software like Mailmerge or Mailchimp

11.  Assist with speaker outreach and briefings as appropriate.

12.  Manage the Alliance’s Zoom account as an administrator

13.  Monitor and report on project progress and related expenses according to the CHS Alliance financial policy and procedures.

14.  Manage and maintain an external events calendar for the CHS Alliance, to assist staff with horizon scanning and scheduling.
