Purpose of the role:

At NEON, we know that you can’t separate the external work of the organisation from the internal work. They are so interlinked and interdependent that they both have to be given priority and resources if we want to achieve high impact. We see them as inseparable. 

So the purpose of this role is to support NEON achieving its mission by ensuring the smooth running of NEON’s finance systems and processes. You’ll do this by delivering on the main financial tasks day-to-day, and support with finance projects aimed at improving NEON’s systems.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Doing all of our day-to-day fundraising administration to keep us well-organised and compliant. This includes:

   1. Recording and monitoring fundraising data using our Fundraising Tracking Database

   2. Keeping all of our grant agreements, contracts and other relevant documentation well-organised on GDrive and elsewhere 

   3. Ensuring compliance with the financial requirements of the grant agreements, and updating and maintaining the grant payments schedule 

   4. Raising invoices on Xero in line with funder agreements - noting instalment dates and receipts

2. Preparing payroll each month, ensuring everything happens on time and coordinating with our payroll agency. (This may only be a temporary responsibility) 

3. Processing and reconciling payments. This includes:

   1. Reconciling bank receipts and chasing late payments

   2. Processing supplier invoices and payments

   3. Monitoring our team’s Pleo card expenses and posting on Slack to our team for authorisation

   4. Managing the subscriptions on Pleo cards (this is likely a temporary responsibility until our People & Ops Manager returns from sabbatical leave)

4. Preparing some financial reports and accounts. This includes accounts to trial balance, and ad hoc reports from Xero when our team have finance queries or need support

5. Supporting with finance projects which make our finance systems work more efficiently, simply and sustainably e.g. helping to update our budget spreadsheets and approach to budgeting, or moving to a new bank

6. Supporting the Head of Finance with budgets, financial planning and reports and any other ad hoc finance tasks

7. Being part of Ops Hub shared work and cross-organisational work and team days 

About you:

• You have experience dealing with people in different capacities, both internally and externally, on a day to day basis, and build strong working relationships

• You have solid finance experience and skill. For us that means:

  1. a minimum of three years work experience in a finance role, preferably within the charity/non profit sector. This means you have a good understanding of non-profit finance, including VAT and managing restricted and unrestricted funds

  2. a solid understanding of Accounts Payable (with BACs, invoicing, etc) and Receivable (invoicing and credit control) processes

  3. a Level 4 AAT, equivalent qualification or equivalent experience

  4. experience in control accounts reconciliation, and posting journals

• You know how to use accounting software and apps (e.g., Xero, Quickbooks, Sage) as well as Microsoft Excel or Google sheets

• You are proactive, well-organised and feel empowered to solve problems yourself when they come up (sometimes described as an “ownership mindset”), as well as balancing this with asking for help when you need it

• Excellence is important to you and it shows in your work. Whatever you do, you do it to a high standard

• You have strong organisational and time-management skills that are required to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. And you are comfortable moving between different paces of work - slower, more methodical work and quicker turnaround work

• You are a great communicator and you know that good communication is really important to the type of work you do - you’ll be happy to use our internal comms systems (Slack, Google Suite, Asana) to keep everyone in the loop on your work

• You’re willing to continuously learn and grow - you have growing levels of self-awareness and emotional intelligence, including around your own power and identity and how that means you relate to others. As a result, you’ll receive feedback from others well (and learn to give feedback well too)

Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. In some services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
This role involves working on a rota pattern of 40h each week, to support a client with special needs.

What you'll do:
- If a need arises, deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. In some services, this will include delivering personal and physical care as appropriate
- Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation
- Participate in the support planning and risk management, as facilitated by the lead Support Worker
- Carry out security duties to ensure the safety of the customers and premises
- Monitor the CCTV throughout the shift

The successful candidate will join our busy Governance team, reporting to the Head of Governance and working closely within a core team of two officers and two senior officers.

Barnardo's are commissioned to deliver the services in the Children and Family Centres in Warwickshire in partnership with a wide variety of agencies offering activities to children, young people and parents/carers. Rugby Children and Family Centres are recruiting for an Early Years Practitioner to deliver a range of services including 1:1 support, groups activities and courses. This post requires a good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and child development. Experience of working with the 5-19 yr age groups (up to 25yrs for SEND) would also be an advantage. 

We are looking to appoint an experienced EY Practitioner.  This is a busy and varied role where you will be required to work autonomously or as part of a team to deliver a range of services within the community. You will help to:

•  Offer fun and engaging activities to support children to develop positive social and emotional skills.

About the role

We are currently advertising for two positions, one within our Assessment team, and one within our Post-Approval team.

1. Assessment Senior Practitioner - To provide Coram IAC’s Intercountry assessment and support services in accordance with adoption guidance and regulations. To help coordinate intercountry adoption assessments, quality assuring and overseeing the work of sessional social workers.

1. Post-Approval Senior Practitioner - To provide Coram IAC’s Post Approval Services and Country Programmes in accordance with adoption guidance and regulations. At Youth Action Alliance (YAA), our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present and promote their ambitions for the future. We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To do this we are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to provide a range of financial support duties and administer the organisation’s general ledger and finance system.

This post will provide high-quality support to the technology and operations of the organisation, to ensure the smooth running of the main site and enable YAA to meet and deliver on its core objectives and obligations. The post holder will provide administrative support to YAA, covering a wide range of tasks and activities including (but not limited to) procurement coordination, travel and logistics, department meetings and off-site activities, diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking for our board and meetings for staff, members and stakeholders.

General Requirements

● To support the delivery of Youth Action Alliance

● To ensure a friendly, professional and informative service to all visitors and stakeholders, ensuring that any enquiries are responded to sensitively and appropriately

● To maintain a diary and manage all incoming calls and all correspondence

● To develop good working relationships across all YAA teams and external partners

● To attend and support meetings including minuting (including evening, weekend and events as/when required)

● To collate and maintain all documentation relating to the business

● To act as a point of contact to all Board of trustees, staff, participants and stakeholders

● To deal with supplier queries in a timely and professional manner and follow up on any rejected or unprocessed payments

● To manage office maintenance including ordering equipment, stationery and products needed for the day-to-day running of YAA

● To be the appointed Fire Marshall of YAA and oversee all Fire Safety duties and training

● To be the appointed First Aid Officer on-site and to ensure all members of staff are First Aid trained

● To oversee the Health and Safety of YAA and ensure all aspects are attended to in line with the YAA Health and safety Policy and PPE in line with COVID-19 guidance.

● To add participants, staff and registers of all projects to inhouse software and run reports from the system as/when required

● To coordinate and deliver inductions to new starters, ensuring all staff are DBS checked and all training certificates are updated as required

● To liaise with the CEO to ensure all staff, facilitator and contractors' contracts/SLAs are up-to-date

● To process all organisational income and expenditure and maintain and update all financial documentation accurately

● To assist and support all staff with the smooth operation of all finance matters

Person Specification

Essential

● A college equivalent qualification

● Experience in developing and implementing administrative systems

● Able to work independently or as part of a team.

● Good Organisational and administrative skills and experience

● Database experience – experience in managing and administering databases, or a willingness to learn

The Fostering Recruitment Officer will be will be based within reasonable travelling distance of Merseyside, Cheshire West and Greater Manchester and will be required to visits potential new foster carers, attend face-to-face team meetings at least once a month and on other occasions for training and team wellbeing events.

This role involves managing key operational and governance functions, supporting the Executive Director and President, and ensuring the smooth running of various committees and Special Interest Groups (SIGs). The Executive Administrator will also assist with the ABN fellowship scheme.

Key Responsibilities of the Executive Administrator

Executive & Governance Support

• Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and President.
• Manage the President’s inbox, responding to or escalating queries as appropriate.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, including preparing agendas and drafting and distributing minutes.
• Process and track expense claims for the Council and Executive team.
• Organise bookings for the President, including travel, hotels, and restaurants.

Committee & Fellowship Support

• Provide full administrative support to the Services Committee, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and taking minutes.
• Undertake projects for the Services Committee as required, including data analysis
• Assist Governance & Grants Manager with the administration of the ABN Fellowship Programme, including maintaining records and supporting application and review processes.

Financial & Operational Support

• Ensure office supplies are maintained, including stationery and consumables
