MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: To provide excellent managerial support to the Community Service Support department and lead by example by showing the ability to communicate interpersonal skills, problem solve, decision making and time management. To help ensure that the team carry out accurate and timely follow ups with all new and ongoing cases. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

I) Responsible for managing and motivating the Community Service Support team to include delegation of tasks.

II) To control and expedite escalation cases as well as manage relationships with owners and their families.

III) To communicate effectively with team members, provide feedback and support as well as addressing any issues or concerns and where necessary make a referral to the Head of Department.

IV) To monitor performance and capability of the team as individuals and also as part of a team, carry out 1:1 meetings and suitable and productive Performance Management meetings annually. You will also be responsible for any staff welfare or disciplinary procedures that arise, within the team.

West Sussex Transitional Housing provides homes for young people in a range of settings across the county. Services provide a low level of support for young people who already have a basic level of daily living skills and can keep themselves safe without daily supervision. Services are staffed Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, with some services having on site staff and others visiting staff; all services are supported by a mobile night team who carry out regular safety and security checks. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our team, who will hold a caseload of residents and meet with them weekly to build a support plan. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing and Compliance

• Support young people to understand and comply with their occupancy agreements, including coaching them to meet house rules and responsibilities as part of preparing for successful independent living.
• Promote a strong rent‑payment and credit culture, encouraging residents to maintain regular payments and understand their financial obligations.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of housing legislation, welfare benefits, and statutory requirements affecting young people, ensuring practice aligns with current housing law and organisational policies.
• Respond promptly and effectively to breaches of agreement, including rent arrears, antisocial behaviour, or property damage, using restorative approaches where appropriate and working collaboratively with the wider team.

Coaching and Engagement

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives.
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community.
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries.
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance).

There will be times when lone working will be a requirement for this role, but you will get to know the team and service, along with an induction and training prior to starting on a rota.

• Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately.

Role Responsibilities

Spear Programme

• Support in group coaching sessions of up to 12 young people. Coaching them around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education and equipping them with the skills to stay there.
• You’ll be given all the training needed to deliver Spear through our professional coaching methodology.
• This coaching continues for Spear Career – the 6 months’ worth of follow-up support. You will oversee a caseload of trainees and support them in work, beyond the initial Foundation Phase of the programme.
• Lead weekly 1:1s with a cohort of young people to monitor their progress and support them in their journey to employment.

About the Role

As a Team Leader you will ensure excellent service delivery in accordance with the service specification and performance targets. You will need to be able to support operational staff to deliver high quality, risk led and tailored support. You will focus on the performance management of team members including the allocation and auditing of cases in line with service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for completing case audits, reviews and reviewing data to ensure oversight of teams

About You:

You will hold an approved and accredited IDVA qualification and will ideally have had previous line management experience and be confident leading a team.

You will need:

• A strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and the impact this has on victims.
• Experience of working in a challenging and changing environment with an emphasis on customer focus and excellence in service delivery.
• Demonstrable experience of providing crisis management, support and guidance in sometimes stressful and difficult situations to a team with a client service focus.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting professionally with a range of agencies and individuals.

About the Role

As a IDVA you will provide high quality support to victims of domestic violence and abuse. You will deliver and provide support in five key areas to support victims to:

• Feel safer
• Feel informed about their rights and the criminal justice system
• Feel listened to and heard
• Be able to implement healthy coping mechanisms
• Be connected with services who are available to help them

Key Responsibilities:

• You will provide appropriate non-therapeutic support to victims of domestic abuse via their preferred contact method.
• Undertake needs and risk assessments to develop tailored individual safety and support plans to address the specific needs of the victim.
• Use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential record keeping and contribute to the collection of outcomes.
• Liaise with the police, social services, CPS, and other agencies on the client's behalf, with the client's consent maintaining confidentiality
• Provide information to victims to enable them to make informed choices about their future options. Ensuring that the voices, needs, rights and legal entitlements of older people are heard and understood by all individuals and organisations.

About You:

Ideally, you will hold an approved and accredited IDVA qualification (or you must be willing to work towards one)

You will need:

• A strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and the impact this has on victims.
• Experience of working with victims of crime (preferably domestic abuse) including completing risk assessments and safety planning
• Experience of managing a caseload and keeping clear case management records.
• Experience of adapting communication styles to be able to effectively communicate.
• An understanding of trauma informed practice and how to implement this within your work
• A through understanding of the criminal justice system and the Victim's Code
• An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and other legal requirements
• Good IT skills including experience with working within bespoke case management systems and using Microsoft Office Packages.
• Organised and methodical approach to work with the ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota varying between 20:00 - 09:30 which includes 13.5 hour shifts with 1 hour unpaid break. You may be required to work outside these hours including evenings and bank holidays and other times as per resident and service requirements.

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises (IAP) covering the night shift on a rolling rota. You will play a key role in supporting our residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. You will develop and engage with our residents to produce tailored support plans which support their individual needs in successful rehabilitation and reintegration within the community. You will identify their needs, goals and skills, and then support and motivate them to achieve their potential. The service holds a strong focus on public protection and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times
• Engaging with residents throughout the night, ensuring they are adhering to their license conditions. This may include planning activities to engage with them such as movie nights, games nights, and other activities applicable
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team on the night shift, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins
• Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
• Keep support plans updated on our online portals as appropriate

About You

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to help make a difference and contribute to providing safer communities for all. You will be comfortable working within the criminal justice setting, and supporting residents to have access to the tools and resources to better enhance their quality of life after their release from prison. You will have an understanding of criminal justice settings and will have the ability to build meaningful rapport with others who have multiple and complex needs and backgrounds. • Understanding of the housing and social needs of people who have recently been released from prison

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SMI Support Worker who will improve access, engagement and outcomes for Haringey residents living with Severe Mental Illness (SMI). The role strengthens pathways into community and statutory services, supports residents to navigate wellbeing and physical health offers, and works closely with the Haringey Wellbeing Network (HWN), Social Prescribing teams, and the SMI Health Check team. About the role:

As an IDVA you will:-

• Ensure that male survivors' safety and housing needs are met by supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
• Provide a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse
• Promote the service and raising awareness of issues arising, minimising barriers and improving access to support

You will need:

• Experience of providing support those affected by domestic abuse
• An understanding of the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues.
• A good understanding of Housing Law to be able to provide up to date advice and information on housing related needs
• Strong communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.

• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations.
