We are looking for a Recovery Worker who is motivated, grounded, and compassionate; someone who can work confidently in a client‑facing environment, respond to risk dynamically, and build meaningful relationships with people who may have experienced repeated trauma and exclusion.

Ealing Accommodation Services provides high‑support, 24‑hour staffed accommodation for 24 adults with complex and multiple needs who have experienced street homelessness. We work intensively with individuals to help them stabilise, rediscover their strengths, and move towards sustainable independent living.

As a Recovery Worker at Ealing Accommodation Services, you will:

• Support residents with high and complex support needs, including mental health, substance use, homelessness and social isolation
• Carry out dynamic risk assessments and respond appropriately to changing needs and behaviours
• Deliver regular keywork sessions, helping residents develop confidence, stability and life skills
• Support people to progress towards move‑on accommodation and longer‑term independence

About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Casework Administrator to join the Scottish Regional Office team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

You will be responsible for providing specialist administrative support and undertaking virtual telephone casework across the whole of Scotland, working remotely with SSAFA branch volunteers and Regional Office colleagues to ensure a consistent, timely, quality service is provided to SSAFA beneficiaries.

To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to the Scottish Regional Office. You will work closely with the Regional Casework Managers and the Regional Manager.

The post is home-based and lone working with support from your line manager and team colleagues and you must have a fast, stable broadband connection in your proposed workspace. You may have to travel occasionally around Scotland or elsewhere in the UK; expenses will be paid.

About the team

In this role you will be working closely with volunteers from seventeen SSAFA branches across Scotland, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will work as part of a larger team which includes 2 Casework Managers and a Regional Manager and a team of Regional Casework Co-ordinators.

About you

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. The successful candidate will have experience of using their own initiative, planning and managing their workload with minimal supervision. You should be experienced at writing descriptive reports following a recommended structure. This role requires you to be a resilient person and it would be advantageous if you understand the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across Scotland would be valuable, but not essential.

We are looking for an Executive Support Manager to provide high-level assistance to the Chief Executive and oversee the smooth running of our governance and leadership operations. This is a key role that combines strategic project support with the management of the senior leadership office. You'll lead on special projects commissioned by the Chief Executive, including strategic and operational planning support, coordinating research projects, and will be responsible for the administration of the Board of Trustees and its committees. Spires was established as a response to homelessness in the late 1980s. Spires has developed into an organization that provides a range of services, including day centre style drop-ins for homeless people, a Women’s drop in, a Refugee drop in and outreach targeted at supporting Women who are sex working. Our core mission is to support homeless people into housing and to assist those who have been homeless in maintaining their accommodation.

Part 1:  The Role

The Women’s Service Coordinator will manage Spires’ Women’s service offer. The Women’s Service offer comprises of:

• Spires-Street Link, which is a dedicated nighttime outreach service to support women who are involved in street-based sex working. This includes follow up work, casework, and multi-agency working.
• Centre based support for women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This also includes casework and supporting Spires’ Housing and Homelessness team.

Part 2: Key duties and responsibilities

• Manage a small team of support workers and a team of dedicated volunteers.
• Oversee the delivery of effective assessment and allocation for clients.
• Oversee the effectiveness of casework across the Women’s Service.
• Directly support a small caseload of clients.
• Manage the team’s rota to ensure sufficient coverage across activities.
• Represent Spires to external organisations, developing and maintaining good working relationships with other professionals, community organisations, and statutory agencies.
• Manage the teams’ outcomes and data to produce reports for funders and stakeholders.
• Support Spires’ fundraising manager in making applications where required.

Part 3: Person specification

Essential experience: 

• Experience of working with women with complex support needs (including substance addiction, mental health needs, domestic violence, no recourse to public funds and sex working) .
• Experience of managing people within a relevant sector.
• Experience of challenging appropriately and maintaining clear and appropriate boundaries
• Networking and effectively liaising with specialist service providers or agencies in order to establish and/or improve access to services for clients.

Part 4: Summary of terms and conditions of service 

Probation: This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period.

Notice: This post is subject to one week’s notice during the probationary period and a six-week notice period thereafter. 

Annual leave: The annual leave entitlement is 35 days per year pro rata, made up of eight bank and public holidays and 27 days annual leave. The 27 days annual leave is normally split between 24 ‘bookable’ days and three closure days that fall between Christmas and the New Year.

Pension: The Spires Centre operates an Opt-out group pension arrangement and currently contributes 5% of annual salary for those who qualify. Personal contributions are currently 3%. 

Other benefits: The Spires Centre will provide life and income protection insurance for those who qualify for our group plans.

Safeguarding: The postholder will adhere to The Spires Centre’s safeguarding policy for vulnerable adults. This post is also subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

37.5 hours per week / permanent / working onsite / this role operates on a seven‑day rolling rota following a four‑on, four‑off shift pattern. Shifts will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our team at Horsham Y Centre. You will respond promptly to any reported incidents, accidents, or concerns, carrying out thorough checks and taking appropriate action to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone on site. You will also take a proactive approach to preventing anti‑social behaviour, working closely with support staff to maintain a positive environment. In addition, you will carry out one‑to‑one interventions with young people who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or who require medical assistance, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate support.

We are looking for an experienced youth worker to join our team and lead our Short Breaks project, which provides activities and support specifically for children and young people who have autism and have low to moderate support needs. Camp Mohawk is a woodland activity centre that provides support to children, young people and families from across the South of England.

The children and young people (approximately 100 individuals) supported by the project are aged 8 to approximately 25 years and are largely independent in terms of their self care but have a variety of social, sensory and sometimes medical needs that mean it is very difficult for them to participate in mainstream activities. Our Short Breaks service offers after school activities (in 3 age groups) on Tuesdays and Thursdays in term time, as well as full days of activities once per week in school holidays. These activities give the young people essential social opportunities during which they are supported with things they find challenging, encouraged to express their natural personalities and explore and develop their interests. During these sessions they can receive support to develop their social skills if that is what they need, and can take part in fun activities with their peers. The groups generally cater for between 10 and 20 young people per session.

To be a good fit for this role, you will need to be an exceptional and dedicated childcare / youth worker who has proven experience of supporting and safeguarding children and young people, particularly those who have autism. You should have experience of planning inclusive activities, managing budgets and supervising teams of staff. The role is very much a ‘hands on’ role working directly with the project beneficiaries for the majority of the post hours - you must be able to commit to working the majority of Tuesday (16.00 - 19.30) and Thursday (18.30 - 22.00) evenings in term time, and at least one full day (09.00 - 17.30) per week during school holidays, with the exception of the Christmas holidays when the centre is closed. You will work 10 hours per month on project associated admin which can be undertaken remotely and largely at times that suit you. You must have a full UK driving license and access to a reliable vehicle that is insured for business use. Camp Mohawk is not easily accessible by public transport, whilst some Short Breaks activities take place at off site locations in Reading, Wokingham, Maidenhead, Bracknell, Slough and surrounding areas.

The current post holder also works in the role of Duty Manager for other school holiday days / term time weekend days. This aspect of the role, which will be an optional add on to the Short Breaks Coordinator role with negotiable hours, would be undertaken on a rotational basis with our 4 other Duty Managers. The role involves overseeing the daily delivery of general Family Sessions which support families who have children of all ages and who have a wide range of special needs and disabilities. In this role you will guide and supervise a team of support staff and volunteers through set up of the facilities at the start of the day, oversee the smooth and effective delivery of the service and support families during their visits, work effectively within our Safeguarding Lead Team, and supervise the cleaning and close down of facilities once the session has completed.

We are searching for a Peer Support Worker to join our mental health services. The role is a peer support worker, who use own lived experience of mental health difficulties to support others on their recovery journey through the facilitation of group based, peer support.

Our peer support and recovery services are a key element of the services we offer, and we are looking for someone who can use their own lived experiences to provide support to help individuals achieve their goals.

Service Delivery

• Facilitate Peer Support groups and ensure outcomes which support individuals with mental health and wellbeing needs across Luton in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed peer support model and service’s KPIs and contract requirements.
• Support the Service Manager, when required, by assessing individual’s suitability for attending the peer support service in the line with the organisations Access to Services process.
• Signpost individuals to wider services and encourage and support people to access local activities and community services.
• Use own lived experience of mental health challenges to show hope, empathy and understanding in a safe space where people feel accepted. Share ideas and approaches that support the improvement of mental health and wellbeing and embed this in working practices as a peer.
• Work closely with Service Manager to ensure that our peer support service meet the needs of Luton’s diverse community.
• Encourage and support client engagement with Mind BLMK through the influence and participation process, Guarantor Membership, and training opportunities.

The successful candidate will have an understanding the wellbeing needs of and working with people with mental health needs, including those from culturally diverse communities, personal lived experience of mental health difficulties and recovery and the interpersonal skills required to maintain both working relationships with a wide range of people and appropriate peer relationships with service users.

We are looking for new team members to join our service supporting Carers across Havering to improve their health and wellbeing, and access wider support that meets their needs.

This is a great opportunity to support local communities, working with Adult Carers and Young Adult Carers and helping them to make informed choices, build confidence, sustain their independence, and access support that meets their individual needs. You will carry out assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need, working together to co-produce support plans. This will involve meeting Carers in community settings and conducting home visits. The team also facilities coffee mornings and activities offering Carers opportunities for peer support and to take a break from caring.

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will support the development of escalation plans so that Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

We have full and part-time roles available (minimum 22.5 hours), and applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Carers and/or vulnerable adults in a relevant sector. It’s essential that you are confident using IT and maintaining excellent records. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services.

Due to the area covered by the service, you will need a valid UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.

About the Role:

This is a hybrid role, based within Woodville Family Hub (Cheetham).

As a CYP Caseworker, you will be responsible for providing safe, high-quality, trauma informed and consistent support to children and young people who have experienced domestic violence and abuse and are currently living in interim accommodation. You will provide a range of evidence based support and interventions within 1:1 support and group work programmes, and provide advice, information and advocacy where necessary.
