Renewed Hope is a local charity based in Redhill providing practical solutions and emotional support to the homeless, vulnerable and isolated of East Surrey..

Renewed Hope is currently seeking two experienced support and recovery workers to support our guests. One post is full time (37.5 hours p.w.£27,518 p.a.) and the other part time (19 hrs p.w. - pay pro rata of full time salary)

Renewed Hope offers support to rough sleepers and homeless people in crisis, and housed people suffering the effects of isolation and poverty.

The post holders will be working with guests in both our Drop-in and in our 4 bed supported house (Hope House), but will take a lead responsibility in one or the other of these projects.

Drop in:

• Welcome and assess first time guests, identifying priority needs.
• Signpost and support guests to access key statutory and voluntary services , including housing, benefits, homelessness services etc
• Provide practical support and advice to guests , for example with application forms, bill enquiries, budgeting
• Identify and action any immediate or emerging safeguarding concerns. Maintain and build links with all relevant partner agencies and multi-agency networks (eg Local Authorities, outreach teams, probation teams, Drug and Alcohol recovery, mental health etc

Hope House:

• Assist in the process of vetting the suitability of potential residents and support them with their transition in/out of Hope House
• Ensure tailored support plans (using Homeless Outcomes Star) are in place for each resident
• Support and ensure ongoing adherence to licence agreements and processes- including issuing warnings, behavioural contracts, rent collection notice papers etc
• Oversee the safe and efficient running of Hope House, taking into account any relevant Supported Housing/ HMO specific requirements
• Complete and record regular inspections of individual rooms and shared spaces, ensuring conditions are maintained to expected standards.
• Ensure required health and safety checks are carried out, including alarm testing and gas servicing

Person Specification :

• Eligibility to Work in the UK – British passport/Birth certificate or visa. We are unable to accept sponsorship applications
• Educated to Level 3 (A-level standard)
• Previous experience working with homeless and other vulnerable people
• Knowledge and appreciation of challenges faced by these people, for example trauma, mental illness, unemployment, addictions
• Knowledge of the housing and benefits systems
• Experience managing a case load and updating case notes in a timely manner
• Good organisational skills able to work on multiple tasks
• Disciplined working style, including good time management
• Good numerical and IT skills
• Able to work as a team, including staff members, volunteers and trustees, as well as motivated to work on your own
• Willingness to work unsocial hours if the need arises (TOIL given for overtime)
• The ability to adapt working style to the needs of the situation.

You’ll hold a small caseload of families while also supporting the smooth running of our service—helping to coordinate hospital visits, review caseloads, and ensure families get the right help at the right time. You’ll play a key role in building strong relationships with hospital teams, supporting service development, and deputising for the Family Support Manager.

This role covers management of our caseload of families across London and Surrey, supporting families linked to our hospital partnerships including Kingston, Royal Marsden, St George’s, Epsom, St Peter’s and Royal Surrey—with the Evelina Children’s Hospital joining in the future.

Role overview

Leadership & Team Support

· Manage a team of Family Support Workers.

· Oversee caseloads and conduct monthly reviews.

· Ensure regular hospital visits are co-ordinated and met as planned, adjusting in line with need. 

· Support the allocation of referrals across the team to make sure families receive timely and appropriate support.

· Contribute to the recruitment, supervision, and development of Family Support Workers.

· Deputise for the Family Support Manager when needed, including leading team meetings and taking minutes.

· Participate in the weekend on-call rota.

Family Support Delivery

· Hold a small caseload, providing empathetic, non-judgemental emotional and practical, needs-led, support.

· Plan and attend family events, working with external suppliers where needed.

· Provide regular visits to nominated hospitals and ensure families are linked in with appropriate services.

· Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, safeguarding boards, and service planning discussions.

Hospital & Community Partnerships

· Build and maintain strong working relationships with hospital teams and community partners.

· Maintain regular contact with paediatric teams to share patient updates and identify new needs.

· Deliver presentations and training to raise awareness of Momentum.

· Identify new partnership and referral opportunities in clinical and community settings.

· Support the transition of hospital services from the Royal Marsden to Evelina London Children’s Hospital.

Service Monitoring & Development

· Support the Family Support Manager in delivering service outcomes and contributing to operational planning.

· Assist in monitoring budgets and ensuring services align with the operational plan.

· Maintain accurate and timely records to support reporting requirements.

· Provide case studies and updates to support fundraising and communications.

Organisational Contribution

· Located at a 24-hour supported housing service in Clapham, we provide high quality self-contained accommodation for 15 women who have experienced homelessness and multiple disadvantage.  The aim of the service is to provide a therapeutic environment in which women feel safe and can flourish, enabling them to move on into independent, permanent accommodation. The accommodation also includes overnight safe spaces.

· In this role, you will provide direct support to all the women, as well as holding a small case load of residents who you will keywork.

· You will work closely with support workers and the in-house psychologist. You will model person-led, psychological, gender, and culturally informed support, will be skilled at building trust and you will be a great team player.

· You will undertake 8-hour shifts, normally Monday to Friday but with flexibility for weekend working, covering the hours 8am to 8pm. Please be aware that the building has several floors and no lifts.

Set up by Southwark Council, the Homes for Ukraine project supports families and individuals from Ukraine who have been granted visas to live and work in the UK. Are you passionate about seeing children and young people in Wales have the opportunity to connect, explore, respond and grow in faith?  Scripture Union has a vision to see a new generation of children and young people have a vibrant, personal faith in Jesus and the Support Worker will play a vital role in supporting this ministry in Wales by providing communications, organisational and administrative service to the team.

About the role     

We’re looking for a support worker who will: 

• Support the Wales Mission Team in their ongoing mission to pioneer and create opportunities for children and young people, who are found in the 95% of those outside the church, to explore the Bible, respond to Jesus, grow in faith, and become sharers of the good news of Jesus for themselves. Our priority is to reach those who don’t yet know Jesus by helping them to connect, explore, respond, and grow. 

• Work with the National Mission Co-ordinator (Wales) and the team in the National Office to develop a wider provision for mission resources, communication and marketing materials in the Welsh language. 

This is a permanent role at 0.5 FTE with a salary of £11,970.  

What You'll Do   

• Administrative Support: provide administrative support to the Wales team with regard to arranging meetings, note taking, event bookings, internal communication and database support.

• Communication: communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences in Wales in a variety of ways including newsletters, social media, updates to the website, supporter communications, handling enquiries from church volunteers/workers. 

• Welsh Language: support with translation and proof-reading to expand the provision of Welsh language mission resources and communication with supporters.

You will provide client directed, person centred support to help young people achieve personal goals and aspirations for independent living, training, employment, and education. Amy Garvey House is a low support Learning Disabilities service, situated in the delightful Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. It comprises 11 self-contained flats offering accommodation to both male and female residents. As a low-need service, the role involves supporting customers in developing essential life skills. Support workers collaborate with residents to foster social inclusion and, together with the team, promote independent living. They encourage residents to enhance their skills and make informed choices to improve their quality of life.

The shift pattern for this role is comprised of Early shifts 8am-4pm and Late shifts 2pm-10pm, and occasional weekend shifts when necessary.

Oaklands & St Kilda's is made up of two newly refurbished six-bedroom homes, located close to each other in Ealing, West London. We work with up to 12 young people at a time, providing a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. Many of the young people joining us are moving on from hospital, stepping down from more intensive placements, or transitioning from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to Adult services.
Our team delivers 24-hour trauma-informed and psychologically informed support. You'll play a key role in helping each young person shape their own support and service experience. Everyone receives a bespoke welcome pack and is encouraged to personalise their living space, helping them feel at home from day one.
We place a strong emphasis on participation and co-production. Young people are encouraged to make decisions about their care, engage in partnership meetings, and take part in activities that build skills and confidence - whether that's cooking, budgeting, managing medication, or accessing education and work opportunities.

Support workers will manage a number of young people to help them to identify, plan and achieve their goals, develop relationships meaningful to them and achieve greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.

This is a Waking Night role working to support young people throughout the night at the service.

This role consists of four weekly shifts from 22:00 to 08:00, with double cover for each shift.
