Job description

Harris Hill is proud to be leading the search for a new Executive Director on behalf of Byfleet United Charity – the largest local grant-giver supporting individuals and organisations in need across the Ancient Parish of Byfleet.

Salary: Circa £55,000 per annum

Lead lasting change in your local community.

Byfleet United Charity is seeking a strategic, driven, and community-minded Executive Director to lead their small but impactful organisation through a new chapter of growth and development. With over £200,000 granted to individuals and organisations in 2024 alone, their work transforms lives across Byfleet and West Byfleet.

As Executive Director, you will:

  • Lead the delivery of the charity’s mission and services, including their essential and community grant programmes.
  • Oversee the ongoing refurbishment and operations of Almshouses.
  • Maximise the return from property and investment portfolio.
  • Guide and support a dedicated team of four, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Strategic leadership experience in the charity, housing or property sectors.
  • A strong track record of financial, operational, and project management.
  • A passion for community-focused work and values-led leadership.
