Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. About the team

The Supporter Experience team at Shelter exists to provide expert stewardship to build deep long-term relationships, enhancing the supporter experience to drive income now and increase lifetime values. We ensure supporters feel valued and appreciated by Shelter and understand the impact of their support. We’re part of a wider Community & Events team that sits within an Income Generation directorate. Together, we look after a wide variety of fundraising activities to help fund our mission to ensure a safe home for all. About the role

The main objectives of this role will be to provide excellent supporter care to Shelter’s fundraisers, which will involve building relationships and giving fundraising and event support and advice, and providing efficient administrative support to the department. We want to give you scope to grow into a confident and successful fundraiser, so you will receive training and provide supporter care and admin support across a variety of community & events activities, events and products across all three teams.

About you

Communicating with a variety of people: you will enjoy communicating with people in a variety of different ways, over the phone, face to face, by email, letter and over social media channels.

Time management & organisation: there’s a lot to do, particularly when we have fundraising products live and during the busy winter fundraising period, so it’s important to be able to manage your time well. The team has a really positive collective attitude to helping you do this, and they will suggest different tools and methods to stay on top of your work. But your being organised from the get-go is important.

Attention to detail: in all tasks, you will need to have a good eye for detail to make sure work is completed with a high level of accuracy.

Proactive: there are many activities to get involved with at Shelter, so being proactive ensures you get as much from your role as possible. Within your role you need to take initiative in setting up meetings, asking questions and suggesting/trying new ideas. Beyond this, taking advantage of volunteering in our shops or at events, and visiting local Shelter Hubs, is a great way to understand the cause and sector.

Willingness to be busy: everyone in the team has lots to do and has a range of responsibilities across different areas. To be successful in this role, you need to be willing to be busy during the working day and enjoy the variety this brings.

Flexibility: as this role will support work across the wider Community & Events team throughout the year, it is vital that the successful candidate is adaptable and willing to get stuck into different activities when needed. There will be occasional evening and weekend work to support events, for which time off in lieu will be given.

Hillside Clubhouse is recruiting for a mental health employment specialist to join our dynamic Camden team supporting people with mental health conditions to gain and retain employment.  The role is working within the nationally recognised IPS (Individual Placement and Support) model within an NHS secondary care mental health team based in the heart of Camden.

Who we are: 

Hillside Clubhouse is a co-produced mental health employment support charity working across Camden and Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity.  Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our employment specialists based within primary and secondary care.

The Role: 

The role is within our IPS Service and will be based within a Camden NHS secondary care team. As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover, ultimately transforming their lives.

A variety of skills are needed in this post including but not limited to -  a strong ability to develop empathy and rapport with clients; a determined approach to seeking out job opportunities; a person centric-approach to working with people; strong communications skills to motivate clients; strong administrative capabilities and an attention to detail engage with prospective employers via business development and face-to-face meetings, and to be able to challenge some perceptions around mental health. 

The postholder will be directly employed by Hillside Clubhouse but work under an Honorary Contract from Camden and Islington Foundation Trust.  They will be managed directly by the IPS Operations Manager but work as team member within the clinical team. The role is dynamic and involves being integrated in a clinical team, working within the community, and we operate a flexible working policy where working from home is also permitted up to two days per week.

Overall aim: 

To enable people with mental health issues to gain and sustain competitive employment by working within the evidence based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.

Primary Duties: 

• Manage a caseload of up to twenty clients and work within and apply the 8 principles of IPS in all aspects of role. 
• To work with and enable clients to find work using a mix of conventional approaches and employer engagement. 
• To generate ongoing referrals from the clinical team and to manage those effectively. 
• To engage directly and collaboratively with the clinical team while maintaining the existing multi-disciplinary approach to assisting clients seeking work.

The Royal College of Ophthalmologists (RCOphth) is a membership organisation and the voice of the profession, with over 4,000 members in the UK and overseas. Our role is to champion the specialty, set standards of training and practice, and influence change to make a difference to the lives of patients with eye conditions.

Job Purpose

The National Ophthalmology Database (NOD) is a core Department workstream using clinical audit data to identify improvements and provide advice, to inform patient care, safety, and service delivery. This is a new role working with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and support the programe manager to deliver activities of the NOD. The post requires strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. The role will be responsible for all aspects of project support and day-to-day management of the NOD website, including implementation of new developments with the supplier and analysis of usage to suggest areas for improvement.

Main Areas of Work and Responsibility

• Assist the NOD Manager in project planning to identify and track deviations from the project plan and budget, identifying and logging any risks and issues, and improving project procedures
• Support the NOD Manager with administration, project outputs, applying and explaining the information governance, outlier, and other project policies to stakeholders
• Management of the NOD website including liaising with the website supplier, working with the NOD Manager to develop a content schedule, editing content, assisting users with queries, authorising user access
• Review and analyse website performance and make recommendations for improvement
• Lead and manage the delivery of specific workstreams as agree with the NOD Manager
• Administer virtual and in person meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, following up actions
• Liaison with the project teams and RCOphth functions e.g. policy and communications team

This is a newly created administrative role to increase capacity in Londonwide LMCs, the membership organisation representing approximately 7,000 NHS General Practitioners in over 1,100 practice teams in London, providing pan-London leadership and shared committee services for its members. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Workforce-Training and Innovation team, which provides project management across the organisation and training for constituents across the 27 Londonwide Boroughs that make up Londonwide LMCs. The team also coordinates a range of supportive services for practices that are delivered through managed relationships with associates.

In this role, you will report to the Head of Workforce-Training and Innovation and work within the WTI team, playing an integral part in linking our work across the directorates at Londonwide LMCs and externally with our practices and constituents.

The focus of this role is to provide administrative support to the Workforce-Training and Innovation team, enabling the smooth running of projects, scheduling meetings and supporting events. It would be helpful if candidates have excellent administration and note-taking skills. We would like to hear from candidates who have experience in:

• Owning the administrative tasks required to enable smooth team operations.
• Attending team meetings and other project meetings, providing administrative support, and ensuring an accurate record of the meeting and actions is made.

This is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent post, but applicants seeking part-time/job-share roles are welcome.

As an organisation, we work flexibly, and regular home working is supported. The post is contractually based at our offices located in central London near Euston, where we host quarterly connect days for all staff. Whilst regular home working is supported, some travel or office attendance may be required to attend pre-planned meetings or events.

The salary for the role will be £25,000 pa plus membership of the group personal pension scheme with a 16% employer pension contribution (£4,000, making total remuneration £29,000). Your role will be to further develop and deliver a range of events and initiatives that the Harlequins Foundation offers to its supporters to help us to raise the funds we need to deliver our programmes. As the charitable arm of the Club, we deliver a variety of programmes aimed at achieving improved outcomes for education and employability, wellbeing and inclusion. The role will play a key part in delivering high-profile fundraising events while building the Foundation’s engagement with different communities and supporter types, being instrumental in delivering campaigns and events to engage new audiences with the Foundation’s purpose.

As a proactive and enthusiastic person, you'll need to be adept at managing multiple projects and events concurrently. Working closely with the Head of Fundraising and Engagement and within a small Fundraising team, the successful applicant will be responsible for delivering events from Harlequins matchday activations to Foundation fundraising events.

You will develop key relationships within the Foundation and Club’s network of supporters, suppliers and delivery partners and manage a portfolio of events and activities for a range of supporter groups.

The successful candidate will be experienced in planning and delivering a variety of events, ideally within the charity sector with a focus on fundraising. An ability to provide exceptional experiences, catering to different audiences including both sports fans and high-net worth individuals as appropriate. Some weekend and evening working will be required as part of the role.

Key Responsibilites

• Support the development and delivery of a varied portfolio of events and fundraising activities to meet agreed objectives, all of which reflect the spirit of the Harlequins Foundation
• Deliver high quality supporter care and stewardship, ensuring a quality experience for supporters at all events that reflect the values and identity of the Foundation, and build long-term relationships with our supporters
• With support of the team where relevant, co-ordinate event logistics; including but not limited to sales, bookings and liaison with supporters and suppliers, material production, event marketing and promotion, set up, and delivery
• Maximise income from our portfolio of events and fundraising activations.
• Ensure relevant processes and policies are in place to deliver a successful, profitable events programme
• Oversee the management of fundraising systems and platforms to create the best possible experience for donors and participants
• Assist with all fundraising aspects of events including sourcing, recording and storing auction prizes and working with the team to manage auction fulfilment
• Regularly review the performance of events and fundraising campaigns, make recommendations for improvement, and support decision-making regarding fit of new opportunities for the Foundation

Person Specification

Qualifications and Experience

• Educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience
• Exceptional events management and project management experience; managing a range of events and budgets in size, profile and scale
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills including budget and project management
• Experience of delivering fundraising events and activations that can engage supporters
• Ability to build excellent relationships especially with supporters, partners, ambassadors and suppliers
• Strong team player and project leadership, ensuring clear and regular communication with the team and stakeholders as appropriate
• Competent user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience of CRM systems and project management tools
• Experience of working within the sports charity/sports sector
• Experience of working with high-net-worth individuals or celebrities would be an advantage

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.

Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. You’ll plan, co-ordinate and support the successful delivery of all our online and in-person events, including being available and involved as needed on site. 

In this role, you’ll travel across England and may have overnight stays from time to time. We offer training and support to enable you to be successful in your role and we’re happy to discuss requirements if you have kinship caring responsibilities.
