Thames Reach’s Outreach teams operate across London and helps those who are rough sleeping to find routes away from the street. The teams respond rapidly and work flexibly to reach people. Individuals are assessed to identify their support needs and support plans are created, including work to obtain identification, access health services and refer to other specialist agencies, including those offering immigration support.
We are looking for Support Workers to join the East Surrey Outreach Service team.
You will:
• Complete outreach shifts, providing a rapid response to referrals for people who are rough sleeping across four districts.
• Working closely with Lead Workers and Assistant Support Workers to identify the quickest and most appropriate route off the street for people found rough sleeping, and devise plans to achieve this.
• Provide direct support to people who are found rough sleeping to enable them to move away from the streets and into accommodation.
• Work alongside partner agencies to ensure that clients are accessing appropriate support to access and sustain accommodation.
• Accurately record all work completed within given timeframes.
• Have a UK Driving Licence.
To succeed as the Support Worker you will have:
• A strong commitment to providing a high standard of service.
• Experience working with people who have slept rough or vulnerable adults and supporting them to access services.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills in order to remain strongly outcome focused, with the ability to coordinate a high number of cases and complete tasks promptly and efficiently.

The Role
As a Personal Assistant, you will provide support to two of our Directors and our Chief Financial Officer.
Acting as a conduit and gatekeeper for our Directors, key stakeholders and other individuals, you will provide administrative and organisational support to enable their day-to-day operations. As part of the site services team the role holder will be expected to liaise with managers and staff across the Trust. The role holder is expected to work closely with the other members of the facilities team and assist in covering in the laundry, in the deep clean team or other works as and when required.

The Role:
This role will cover a wider area of executive support including governance, meeting management, senior leadership team support, managing on-line gatherings, travel management, diary management, correspondence management and relationship management.
The post-holder will be key in supporting the WWP in this, and also, with both WWP and CEO, in mapping out the key events and activities over a 6 year cycle, so that there is a clear structure for the new WWP (and ultimately successor to CEO ) to come into and work with. They will also assist the CEO in “standard agenda planning” for the board, for example, the induction of the new Board in early 2025.
Whilst the role is for 3 days per week, ideally this would be flexible, with the individual working more days at certain times (for example during the Board week) and less at quieter times.
MU is a small team, (about 25) and there is an expectation that all will show flexibility in helping out on areas not explicit in their role descriptions, when time and their expertise and ongoing workload allow
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate should be proficient in handling the Microsoft suite, zoom, familiarity with handling databases and finance systems. They should be confident in taking minutes in board meetings, experienced in acting as a project manager, able to use a project tool to facilitate planning of schedules for SLT, Board and committees throughout the year, and possess excellent relationship skills, confident to liaise with board members and provincial presidents from around the Globe.

Work Location
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Harris Hill is looking for an interim Fundraising Assistant to support a national charity for 2 to 3 months on remote of hybrid basis, starting May 2024.

The team is responsible for Acquiring new supporters for the charity, retaining the quarter of a million or so people that support us already – and raising over £20 million. Due to expansion of the team, a number of new roles have become available working remotely or from or offices at the National Cat Adoption Centre in Sussex. It’s fast-paced, thought provoking and varied work on a range of income generation products and channels.
Responsibilities of our Individual Giving Assistant:
The Acquistion & Retention teams, which make up the Individual Giving team, work together to maxmise the long-term return on investment for individual donors. In this varied role, you will play a key part in delivering the charity’s Individual Giving programme from concept to delivery, ensuring communications are delivered on time, to the agreed audience, within budget and to the highest quality. You will support in managing relationships with various external agencies, ensuring Cats Protection receives the best possible service. You will also liaise with a number of internal departments to ensure they are briefed on Individual Giving Activity.

- Experience of assisting with the organisation of projects/activities or schedules
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively – orally and in writing - with a wide range of individuals
