Within this role, you will manage the collaborative and participatory design and development of frameworks and evaluation approaches for projects/programmes being delivered to achieve Battersea’s organisational strategy, including both charitable impact and enabling function projects and programmes.

We are recruiting for one IPS Employment Specialist role within our Islington IPS Service. This position will be based within the North London NHS Foundation Trust mental health services in the borough of Islington.

As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover - ultimately transforming their lives.

A variety of skills are needed in this post including but not limited to: a strong ability to develop empathy and rapport with clients; a determined approach to seeking out job opportunities; a person centric-approach to working with people; strong communications skills to motivate clients; strong administrative capabilities and an attention to detail engage with prospective employers via business development and face-to-face meetings, as well as to be able to challenge some perceptions around mental health. 

The postholder will be directly employed by Hillside Clubhouse but work under an Honorary Contract from the North London NHS Foundation Trust.  They will be managed directly by the IPS Operations Manager but work as team member within the clinical team. The role is dynamic and involves being integrated in a clinical team, working within the community, and we operate a flexible working policy where working from home is also permitted up to two days per week.

To enable people with mental health issues to gain and sustain competitive employment by working within the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.

This role is a hybrid post and your location will be Dyfed Powys Police Headquarters in Carmarthen. As a Caseworker you will:

• Manage a caseload of self-referred & referred service users, providing information & advocacy to help them navigate the criminal justice process.
• Conduct risk & needs assessments, ensuring each victim receives tailored support & information.
• Identify barriers to accessing services & work with partners to provide ongoing support.
• Keep accurate & confidential case records.

About You:

You will have an understanding of the impact of crime on victims & experience in delivering services within a statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency setting. Experience in managing a caseload and of completing risk & needs assessments would be beneficial.

The successful candidate will lead a dedicated Supporter Services team focused on delivering excellent customer service, whilst managing our relationships with fulfilment agencies which deliver our income processing and merchandise delivery. The role is a hybrid position with an expectation of minimum two days per week in our central London offices.

What you'll do

• Provide clear direction to the team regarding their individual and team based KPIs
• Nurture a productive environment with a culture of continuous improvement, in which the team is encouraged to reach and expand their performance ceiling
• Day to day management of all Engagement Operations third party relationships, including but not limited to Elovate, our primary fulfilment partner.
• Continually assess the performance of all third parties against agreed levels, addressing any shortcomings in a constructive manner.
• Monitor the performance of third-party fulfilment agencies relative to agreed SLA obligations and intervene as and when required.
• Develop and maintain a “Sense brand” for handling incoming communications, to be consistent across communication channel.
• Ensure that all supporter communications via phone, email, post or social channels are responded to on brand and within agreed timeframes
• Monitor and, in partnership with the Head of Engagement Operations, update SLAs when they do not reflect a fair balance between organisational ambitions and the reasonable capacity of the team.
• Actively engage and build relationships with colleagues across the charity
• Use informal connections and formal briefings to ensure that you are a product expert in all aspects of the Engagement directorate’s work
• Periodically assess our merchandising process, recommending improvements where realistic and achievable
• Work with the Head of Individual Giving and Head of Engagement Operations to develop and implement a program of telemarketing and supporter thanking

About you

• Experience of managing and motivating people in a Supporter Care environment
• Hands on and motivating management style
• Experience of managing multiple priorities whilst ensuring deadlines and SLAs are achieved for you and your team
• Experience of working with response handling and fulfilment partners to deliver on mutually agreed SLAs
• To work closely with the Data team to ensure that our supporter database (currently MS Dynamics) is accurate and up to date.
• Experienced and confident using CRM databases, with an understanding of how good data use drives efficient and effective organisational performance.
• Demonstrable understanding of Gift Aid, GDPR and other relevant legislation and guidance

The Role:
 
As the Supporter Care Coordinator, you’ll play a central part in delivering outstanding supporter care and supporting Individual Giving activity, ensuring supporters feel valued, heard and appreciated at every touchpoint.
You’ll be the friendly first point of contact for supporters and will ensure donations are handled accurately and efficiently, acknowledgements are sent promptly, and CRM records are kept up to date. You’ll also support the delivery of fundraising appeals and collaborate across teams to improve processes and engagement.
 
Your responsibilities will include: 

• Managing the appeals donation process, including opening post, batching cheques, recording donations on CRM, banking and acknowledgements
• Acting as the first point of contact for supporter enquiries via phone, email and post, responding in a warm, friendly and professional manner
• Supporting Individual Giving activities, including drafting copy, proofreading artwork, checking data and contributing to digital fundraising
• Leading on the thanking process, including drafting content and setting up mail merges for appeal thank-you letters
• Working closely with colleagues across the organisation during key fundraising periods
• Liaising with suppliers and managing equipment used for in-house donation processing
• Supporting ad hoc projects such as due diligence tasks, legacy and in-mem acknowledgements, and data reporting
• Being flexible to support fundraising events (e.g. London Marathon)

About the role

As Store Manager, you will lead one of our flagship Mary's Living & Giving stores – a premium, fashion-forward charity retail concept created in partnership with Mary Portas. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Chiswick store, ensuring that it not only meets its commercial goals but continues to offer a unique, community-focused shopping experience that reflects the MLG brand.

You'll lead and support a passionate team of around 40 volunteers, maintaining their engagement while evolving the store's offer to reflect local trends and align operationally with other Mary's Living & Giving stores across the network.

In this role, you will:

• Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse volunteer team, creating an inclusive, supportive and empowering culture that celebrates each individual's contribution.

• Manage all aspects of store operations, ensuring excellence in visual merchandising, stock management, and customer service standards.

• Analyse sales performance and local trends to maximise income and profit, while maintaining the premium and distinctive MLG brand identity.

• Build strong links with the local community to grow the store's supporter base and reputation as a destination for high-quality womenswear and new goods.

• Diversify the product offer in line with community insight and MLG strategy, ensuring the store remains relevant, inspiring, and competitive.

About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Proven leadership experience in retail or charity retail, with a track record of managing and motivating teams (paid or volunteer).

• A strong sense of fashion retailing, with the ability to curate, present and sell products to a fashion-conscious, label-driven customer base.

• Commercial awareness and experience of working to sales targets, with the ability to interpret data and identify growth opportunities.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage confidently with volunteers, customers, and the wider community.
