The successful candidate will join a busy, friendly, and capable team working to maximise the charity’s fundraising performance. We work with leading fundraising specialists throughout the UK to refine our approach and deliver outstanding results for one of the UK’s leading animal welfare charities.

Location

This position is based remotely.  But you must be a resident of the United Kingdom with all the necessary legislative ‘right to work’ documentation.  You will be required to attend the charity’s head office located in Norfolk a minimum of 6 times per year and this will be at your own expense for travel and accommodation.

We are recruiting for a well know animal charity for temporary full time Supporter care officer based in central London, this post is for 6 months initially.

Brief overview of role
To play a key role as part of a busy Supporter Care team delivering outstanding multi-channel services to existing and potential supporters and donors, through the provision of high-quality supporter care, donation and fulfilment services.
To work closely with other fundraising teams and stakeholders to deliver an excellent service to a variety of supporters, including delivering fundraising stewardship activities.

The Role
To respond to donor and potential donor enquiries through multiple channels with the aim of complete supporter satisfaction and, encouraging supporters to retain or increase their support
To respond in appropriate tone and style in a timely manner with accurate information, following agreed contact structures and completing the necessary administration, such as collecting a donation or adding information onto the database
To take inbound and make outbound telephone calls/emails as required to new supporters, follow up queries, address concerns, verify details or thank donors.
To retain and manage information needed for contact management, using appropriate resources and reference materials, including preparing and sending briefs to the rest of the team and agencies/suppliers
To handle complaints from a variety of sources and respond sensitively and in line with agreed quality objectives
To contribute to the teams objectives by actively taking part in, or leading on specific projects
To recognise fundraising opportunities and promote them amongst the charitys supporters

The Candidate
Experience of working in a fundraising customer service environment, delivering stewardship activities, asking people for money, and understanding the importance of delivering excellent customer care
IT literate, across all standard Office software with experience of using databases and data collection.
Excellent call handling skills and the ability to respectfully, honestly and transparently adjust communication to different audiences, recognising the importance of diversity.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail and ability to problem solve effectively.

About the Role:

In this role, you will manage the team’s workload, forecasting expected capacity to ensure that daily, weekly and monthly tasks are planned out and completed in accordance with set KPIs. As well as supporting the Supporter Operations Manager in monitoring & evaluating the performance of the Operations team using reports to investigate any unusual results/trends. 

You’ll also: 

• Bring to the role a keen understanding of supporter response handling, the intricacies of processing donations, Direct Debits, Gift Aid, and communication preferences
• Assist with due diligence processes within the wider SEO team, specifically focusing on internal data security practices, response handling accuracy, and adherence to relevant regulatory requirements such as those for Gift Aid or the BACS scheme for Direct Debits 
• Proactively identify processes for improvement across the Supporter Experience & Operations Team to deliver efficiencies and improve the effectiveness of internal procedures 

• Support campaign managers and other colleagues with any new or existing projects relating to fundraising operations, working closely with internal stakeholders, ensuring requirements are clear and fully documented

• Knowledge of the rules and regulations of Gift Aid, Direct Debit, Data protection and PCI-DSS compliance 
• Strong team player. Proven experience and/ or evidence of providing support/supervision/ training to team members
• Experience of documenting business processes, and comfortable with communicating and influencing a range of stakeholders
• Experience of income processing and donor response handling
• Excellent IT skills (use of Microsoft products, particularly Excel) with ability to analyse data accurately
• High attention to detail with ability to work methodically, ensuring minimal errors, and able to problem solve should errors arise 
• Ability to analyse fundraiser requirements, and capable of providing the best fulfilment solution working with internal stakeholders
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to listen, understand, analyse and resolve queries of a technical nature (incl. complex queries). Demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving with the ability to implement robust solutions, taking into account future requirements
• Excellent time management skills. Proven ability to manage & prioritise own workload, conflicting tasks/ deadlines effectively and successfully

Day Care Officer – Day Care Centres 

Age UK Camden Day Care Centres are looking to recruit Day Care Officers to cover a range of hours and shifts across our two Day Care Centres. 

Our Centres provide a wide range of activities as well as being a specialist Day Care Centres caring for older people with complex needs. The Day Care Centres also provide a hot lunch and a range of special events.

We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-orientated individual to oversee the effective running of the supporter relations programme and support the growth of fundraising from individual donors.

You will work closely with the Communications team to develop and implement creative strategies that inspire generous support through digital and social media channels. Your responsibilities will also include developing a new legacy fundraising stream and ensuring all supporter data is managed in compliance with data protection legislation.

About You

With hands-on experience in charity fundraising and CRM database management, you will track and report financial performance against fundraising targets, collaborating with our Philanthropy and Fundraising teams to maximise giving opportunities. Your excellent communication and organisational skills will enable you to prepare compelling cases for support and build strong, lasting relationships with donors

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS HOME BASED BUT REQUIRES THE POST HOLDER TO ATTEND REGULAR MEETINGS AND EVENTS IN PERSON, IN LONDON. 

The role will involve developing and nurturing relationships with those who own, manage, design or have an interest in green infrastructure by proactively facilitating our networks and supporter activities to engender more effective and collaborative working, knowledge sharing, and connection.

This is a great role for someone who is excited by working with senior stakeholders across London who play an active role in maintaining and enhancing London’s green spaces.

The successful candidate will be a confident ambassador for the charity, and capable of building long term partnerships. The post holder will need to use their initiative, creativity and proven partnership building skills to enable the charity to expand and maximise the impact of its existing networks, support internal and external development, and plan and coordinate supporter-focused activities.

As part of a small charity, the successful candidate will need to be a team player, ready and willing to respond and adapt to opportunities and challenges, working closely with the rest of the Parks for London team and trustees.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver and enhance our network and engagement programme to support green space owners and managers
• Support and coordinate the administration and delivery of a range of virtual and in-person network meetings and events
• Identify and develop relationships with potential new supporters 
• Support the identification, and engagement of new audiences who could benefit from our work
• Identify and develop relationships with potential collaborators with whom we can work in partnership with, to maximise our capacity and expand our reach
• Support the sustainability of the charity by driving and maximising existing income streams as well as identifying and delivering new opportunities for income generation
• Represent Parks for London at events and wider engagement opportunities, and promote the interests of the charity, our services, and our supporters
• Keep abreast of local, regional, national and international funding opportunities to identify opportunities for both the charity and those in our networks
• Contribute to the ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Parks for London and our services
• Play an active role in strategic reviews, business planning, and contribute to the wider thinking and planning of the charity
• Carry out other duties and activities as agreed with the Executive Director

This part-time post plays a vital role in supporting isolated older adults in the Bermondsey and Rotherhithe areas. What we do Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, London SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship, with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with children and families’ programmes and a range of volunteering projects.

The role

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting older people aged 55+ in Bermondsey and Rotherhithe: providing strength-based assessments of individual needs and support to help reduce loneliness, improve health and wellbeing and increase older adult’s opportunities to connect to their local community.

• Delivering a shared phoneline and inbox offering signposting support to older adults.

About you

You are passionate about the power of community, and particularly volunteers, to connect and support people, and you like to work in collaboration with others. You are methodical with demonstrable experience in supporting older or vulnerable adults, particularly able to show experience in working with volunteers to meet the needs of the community. You’re flexible, accountable, take responsibility, are highly organised and skilled in multitasking and balancing priorities.
