As the Supporter Engagement Officer, you’ll create opportunities for our amazing supporters to connect with and drive our work through various means of individual giving. You'll create engaging communucations, ensuring that our donors feel valued and understand the impact they're having on babies and their families, and you'll develop key appeals and individual giving activity to drive growth in these income streams.

You will:

1. Manage the development of individual giving income streams, including legacy giving, regular giving, one-off gifts, in memory giving and new products
2. Co-ordinate key engagement activity, such as the annual supporter Thankathon and Impact Report
3. Oversee administration and stewardship of individual giving income
4. Manage the promotion, sale and distribution of Lullaby Trust merchandise

This role can be offered as a hybrid role (with approximately one day per week in our London office) or fully remote, with occasional visits to the office for meetings or staff days as necessary; the two salary ranges above reflect this. The 21 hours could be worked across 3-5 days per week.

Who we are:

Founded in 1992 by a group of mental health professionals, Working Well Trust was established to address the issue of low employment rates for people who have experienced mental health issues.  Since starting we have seen advances in the specialist support offered to people seeking employment and a change in cultural attitudes towards mental health.

· Oversight of the Enfield Employment Services ensuring their quality and effectiveness

Purpose of Role

• To understand Ramblers’ audience behaviours by analysing customer data
• To design and implement data solutions to drive revenue growth, supporter engagement, membership acquisition, retention and lifetime value from new and existing audiences
• To deliver secure, easily interpreted, and accessible information to staff members and volunteers about the Ramblers members, supporters, groups, walks and accounts.
• Democratise data by ensuring it is relevant, accurate and accessible.
• To create and improve existing processes within the Ramblers through the use of automations and technology to improve staff productivity and produce specialised outcomes.
• To support leadership in monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the organisation to use data in its operations, using first party and third-party data sources to facilitate more informed and reliable decision making.
• Working in collaboration with teams across the organisation (particularly Income and Marketing) to develop and implement data driven approaches to income generation with a particular focus on quantitative modelling and testing.
• Working with internal Digital and IT teams, ensure information flows between systems (Salesforce, the Data Warehouse, Marketing Cloud etc) in an accurate and timely manner, to ensure our supporters receive the best possible service and we have a full view of their activities when planning our own.
• Ensure our data insights platform provides volunteers with understandable and easy to use information for all aspects of administering their Area(s)/Group(s).
• Lead on developing and improving new processes and automations to save organisational time and resources through digital technology to drive quicker and more optimised outcomes.
• Maintain accurate supporter information in an accessible and secure way through IT systems such as the CRM and Data Warehouse in accordance with data and charity legislation.
• Develop and present modelling an analysis of supporters through more targeted and personalised communication utilising modern statistical analysis techniques.
• Create and maintain processes allowing for self-service of simple or regularly scheduled selections by staff members.
• Develop a robust and efficient audience segmenting and selection process for more complicated selections in a timely manner, considering appropriate targeting, efficient messaging, and other comms activity.
• Work closely with marketing, operations, and other teams to provide data-driven insights and recommendations that inform campaigns, initiatives, and overall strategy.
• Track and report on the effectiveness of initiatives and campaigns, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement based on data analysis.
• To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required of the post holder by the Ramblers.

The Person

Required Skills and Experience 

• Experience using a modern data reporting tool such as Power BI or Tableau
• Experience in using a marketing automation tool such as Mailchimp and or Marketing Cloud
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python
• Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical terms and process in an appropriate way for a variety of audiences
• High capability to deliver and drive organisational or behavioural change, particularly in relation to the use of data to drive better decision making
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience working with data in the not-for-profit sector
• Interest in walking and/or being an advocate for the outdoors and natural environment.
• Experience of working with volunteers
• Experience in digital marketing/social media reporting, such as Facebook Ads, Google Ads or Sprout Social
• Experience in change management and supporting others to adapt new ways of working
• Experience of working with Salesforce or similar CRM
• A degree in a quantitative field (Maths, Physics, Economics etc) or equivalent experience

The Individual Giving and Legacies Manager role sits within the charity’s Public Fundraising team, which as well as Individual Giving, Legacies and In-Memory Fundraising, includes Events and Community Fundraising.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in Cure Parkinson’s continued ambitious growth. Joining us at an exciting time for the charity, you would be part of a small but dynamic team with the opportunity to develop and make your own mark.

You will lead the growth of our Individual Giving programme, bringing new donors on board across traditional and digital streams. You will be responsible for the retention and reactivation of supporters, maximising their lifetime value; ensuring the best possible supporter experience and delivering annual net income growth in individual giving.

You will also lead our small legacy programme, which has huge ambition for growth; maximising the opportunities available to encourage new and current supporters to leave a gift in their Will. You will be responsible for any legacy administration, working alongside internal and external parties to ensure that all estates are correctly administered, and that we realise the full value of the legacies left to Cure Parkinson’s.

You will be working with supporters to answer their questions about legacy and in-memory giving, and working with the next of kin to ensure that their loved one's legacy is cherished.

You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as being a collaborative team member. You will be supported by the Head of Public Fundraising to achieve transformational results across Individual Giving and Legacies. Key Details

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention, is a newly developed role at the DEC, responsible for shaping and delivering new and existing supporter journeys for DEC individual, community and legacy donors, and leading a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.

The Direct Marketing Manager, Retention will:

• Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies, including the refreshing, implementation and analysis of the DEC’s segmentation, to maximise future income and continually improve the retention of individual supporters for future emergency appeals,
• Lead on the production of retention and reporting back materials for individual and community supporters,
• Manage the development and maintenance of specific supporter journeys,
• Develop and oversee the materials and supporter positioning for a light touch and mainly reactive legacy marketing programme for the DEC.

Key responsibilities include:

Strategy and Planning

• Develop and implement the direct marketing retention strategy, ensuring that past learnings are built upon, and new ideas are tested.
• Develop and implement specific audience journeys for segments across both the life cycle of a DEC appeal and between appeals.
• Ensure timely and relevant communications to all direct marketing, community, and legacy audiences on the impact of their donations.
• Build an improved supporter journey strategy for new, repeat, and lapsed donors.
• Lead, design, and monitor the collection of audience insight during appeals.

Fundraising

• Develop the DEC’s donor journeys for individuals and community supporters, monitoring the development of segments and the engagement of repeat donors.
• Provide analysis during and following an appeal of performance to measure and report performance against key indicators and develop recommendations for improving impact in the next appeal.
• Support the stewardship of community fundraisers and groups in conjunction with the Supporter Services team.

Networking and building relationships

• Develop excellent working relationships with the DEC’s suppliers including creative agencies, media agencies, SMS and email suppliers, and the print/mailing house.
• Work with permanent and temporary staff at the DEC during appeals to maximise the success of the appeal.

Role Overview

We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and versatile Data and Impact Officer to join our supportive and talented team. This is a new role to our charity, in response to our growth, and you will play a key part in supporting our services and future plans. Able to thrive in a varied and busy role, you will be confident in working across different areas including data management and reporting, systems administration and maintenance, and effectively demonstrating the impact of our work.

We’re looking for a talented and motivated Fundraising and Communications Manager who can effectively convey the life-changing impact of our work, motivate our community to support our work, and ensure that the educational resources we provide reach those who need them most.

What we do

We’re IPWSO, the international umbrella body for Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS) associations around the world.

• We build communities between people with Prader-Willi syndrome, their families and the professionals who support them to share knowledge and expertise and improve outcomes for people with Prader-Willi syndrome and their families everywhere.
• We want everyone with Prader-Willi syndrome to get equal access to diagnosis and treatment no matter where in the world they live and to ensure better, more consistent outcomes for people with the syndrome and their families.
• We work to ensure research into the condition works for everyone and reflects the diverse experiences and environments of those living with the syndrome around the world today.
• Our membership comprises PWS associations in 47 countries and we support individual families and professionals in over 70 other countries.
• We have a staff team of four who work in conjunction with dedicated volunteers from around the world.

Key Fundraising Responsibilities

• Develop communications content that will invigorate our existing donors and inspire new ones leading to increased giving by individuals to IPWSO.
• Focusing in particular on our website and social media channels, communicate our achievements, impacts and needs with a view to influencing IPWSO’s online supporters to make donations and engage in fundraising initiatives.
• Provide outstanding donor care to encourage a high level of retention and repeat donations.
• Work with IPWSO’s Fundraising Committee on a variety of fundraising initiatives, which may include a new collaborative global fundraiser to be rolled out in 2025.
• Act as the organisational lead for IPWSO’s CRM (Donorfy) and utilise it to improve the donor journey.
• Develop a robust pipeline of case studies for use in our fundraising campaigns.

Key Communications Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IPWSO’s public email address and social media channels and ensure that timely and appropriate replies are issued.
• Manage IPWSO’s social media channels, creating original and engaging posts, and actively engaging with our audiences.
• Manage Google Ad Grant campaigns with an emphasis on growing our supporter base and increasing individual giving.
• Keep up to date with emerging trends in digital communications and social media, and recommend potential new channels for fundraising and audience engagement.
• Maintain and develop the IPWSO website ensuring its security and that it functions both as an effective supporter acquisition tool and a means by which people can easily access information about PWS.
• Produce compelling monthly newsletters and an Annual Report.
• Review and update IPWSO’s Communications Strategy in line with its Strategic Plan.
• Uphold and showcase the IPWSO mission and brand.
• Working with IPWSO’s Publication and Communication Committee, oversee the production and design of a range of educational resources for families and professionals.
• Oversee copywriting and proofreading within IPWSO.
• Support IPWSO’s members and liaise with its stakeholders internationally in support of our shared goals.
