What you’ll be doing

As a Campaigns Analyst, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping River Action’s fight for cleaner rivers by transforming complex data and information into compelling narratives that influence public opinion, media coverage, political advocacy, and legal action.

Reporting to the Head of Campaigns, you’ll be at the heart of our evidence-based approach. You’ll be analysing government and industry data, uncovering insights, and equipping our team with the intelligence needed to challenge polluters, hold regulators accountable, and push for policy reform. 

Like a detective, you will be the person we rely on to seek out and identify the smoking gun - as well as to meticulously build out the pieces of the jigsaw - that demonstrates the malpractice, illegal behaviour or mismanagement of a water company, a factory farm or a failed regulator.

• Monitor government regulators and industry updates, tracking regulatory programmes, announcements, data, reports and other information.

• Develop and lead proactive data collection efforts including by making Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulation (EIR) requests to inform and support campaigns, legal actions, investigations and communications.

• Plan, execute and report public opinion polls to gather insights that strengthen campaign messaging.

• Analyse and interpret complex data to uncover key insights that drive impactful campaigns and communications.

• Map and assess major campaign factors, including pollution sources, supply chains, regulatory frameworks and industry compliance.

• Investigate polluters, evaluating their legal obligations, governance structures, sustainability claims, environmental performance, finances and resource allocations.

• Investigate government regulators including the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales and Ofwat, analysing the performance of their monitoring, reporting and law enforcement duties.

• Maintain and update internal databases and fact sheets with the latest intelligence.

• Develop an in depth understanding of UK policy and legal frameworks relating to the regulation of rivers, and ensure colleagues are kept up to date with changes.

• Contribute towards River Action policy and advocacy work, ensuring our positions are underpinned by evidence and data.

• Ensure all River Action initiatives are evidence-based, current, and well-informed, and support colleagues requiring data and evidence for handling media opportunities.

• Research and propose solutions to environmental challenges, including technological advancements, regulatory changes, and financial incentives.

• Present research findings in clear, accessible reports that highlight environmental challenges and potential solutions.

• Produce compelling, data-driven reports and surveys for external publication, ensuring high engagement and impact.

• Collaborate with communications teams to translate complex data into visually engaging content for traditional and digital media.

• Provide accurate and up-to-date intelligence to strengthen campaign communications.

• Build partnerships with analysts, researchers, universities, think tanks, and third-sector organisations to collaborate on research and data-sharing initiatives.

• Manage relationships with external contractors, including researchers, polling firms, and academics, as needed.

• Support fundraising efforts by providing key data and insights for campaign and fundraising teams.

• Ensure all team members are well-briefed on the latest data and intelligence when engaging externally.

• Stay informed on advocacy, policy developments, and key relationships to strengthen research and analysis strategies.

• Contribute to shaping River Action’s position and key messaging to keep them fresh and relevant.

As a key member of the newly formed Programme Delivery Team, you will contribute to the growth, reach, and impact of Leadership Skills Foundation programmes among underserved and under-represented individuals and communities. Your work will play a vital role in benefiting thousands of young people across the UK.

We are looking for an energetic and innovative relationship-builder who can establish and manage partnerships with local community groups across England.  Through strong relationship management, you will play a key role in identifying learnings through the programmes delivery and will be confident to use the learnings to influence future strategy and delivery plans.

The role requires someone who is excited by the challenge of trying new things and working differently through a test and learn approach.  You will need to be comfortable working collaboratively as well as independently and want to pro-actively lead on making a positive social difference to the individuals and groups benefitting from our programmes.

The role will initially be a fixed term contract (to July 2027) but we aim to secure further funding for the role to extend. 

Main duties and responsibilities

Responsible for co-ordinating, engaging and managing multiple local community organisations across c. 5-7 locations in England to deliver leadership programmes with identified target audiences, groups and individuals.

Design, develop and manage a delivery plan for the Programme, which engages key stakeholders, and is based on the principles of co-creation, trust and flexibility.

Support identified stakeholders to test adapted leadership skill programmes and learn from the delivery to inform future delivery.

Through learnings from local delivery partners and working with research colleagues, develop a shared understanding of the needs and barriers young people in underserved communities face in accessing leadership skill development and volunteering opportunities.

Work with colleagues in the Innovation team to provide support to local delivery partners to address and overcome these barriers to engage the target audiences.

Deliver training, support and orientation to local delivery partners

Work with the Programme Research Manager to establish a delivery feedback loop to inform the development of learning resources and programmes to overcome the needs and barriers young people in underserved communities face. 

Provide opportunities for the research plan, developed by the Programme Delivery Research Team, to be implemented to drive the improvement of strategic, business and operational planning and delivery.

Provide connectivity between your work/engagement with delivery centres and the work of the Business and Market Development Teams. 

Work with the Programme Research Manager to capture and share best practice to support the wider adoption across community and partner networks.

Heart Research UK is a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to stopping people dying from heart diseases. The Research team advances the treatment, prevention and cure of heart diseases through the medical research projects we fund. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Public and Patient Involvement (PPI) Community Outreach Coordinator who will be responsible for growing the PPI activities of the charity at the community level.

Be part of an energetic and vibrant team who are driven by the desire to improve the lives of people living with heart disease, until no more deaths from heart diseases. Situated within the charity’s Research Team, you will support the delivery of our research strategy, building trust and confidence in heart research and the wider work of Heart Research UK among patients and their families.

You will work closely with the PPI Officer to embed meaningful involvement where people affected by heart diseases shape our work and inform our decision-making – putting the patients and public voice at the heart of what we do.

In this role you will develop partnerships to help Heart Research UK, and researchers listen to the patient voice – identifying, establishing, and cultivating cooperative relationships with community-based programs, organisations, and leaders, with a special focus on historically underrepresented stakeholders (including communities of colour and faith-based communities).

Reporting to the Patient and Public Involvement Officer you will encourage people affected by heart diseases to join our Patient and Public Network, deliver clear messaging and demonstrate the benefits of involvement. You will drive and promote innovative ways of involving and hearing from patients, carers, and the public, challenging traditional methods, particularly ensuring growing involvement from currently underrepresented and underserved groups and communities to enhance our engagement, understanding, and cohesion with people from all backgrounds affected by heart diseases.

This role will support the delivery of our growing portfolio of PPI activities which enables us to embed the patient and public voice at all stages of our work. It is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to seeking and using the views of the public to shape and influence research and the work of the charity.

A key target of this important project is to work collaboratively to ensure that our patient and public involvement activities are increasingly accessible and relevant to any person who wishes to join.

As a Mental Health Care Navigator, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with SMI to reconnect with their communities, addressing barriers such as social isolation, cost of living, debt, and physical inactivity. You will provide personalised, strengths-based support, helping people set and achieve wellbeing goals, and link them to local community groups and services. The role also involves building partnerships with VCFSE (Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise) organisations and statutory agencies, ensuring safe and effective referrals, and supporting the development of an alliance of mental health support providers across the city.

• Provide one-to-one, person-centred support to individuals, including home visits, to co-produce wellbeing goals and address wider determinants of health.
• Build trust and offer non-judgmental, strengths-based guidance, respecting diversity and lived experience.
• Forge strong links with VCFSE and statutory partners, ensuring individuals are referred to safe, accessible, and effective community groups.
• Support local groups to meet safeguarding, health and safety, and information governance standards.

The Fundraising Manager is expected to be an integral part of the leadership team to manage the delivery of the Fundraising strategy.

• To work with the Fundraising Team to develop and deliver Halton Haven Hospice’s community engagement.  To achieve this by identifying, prospecting, supporting and facilitating the development of volunteer networks, individuals, businesses and fundraising groups across the Hospice’s area.
• To raise funds to meet agreed targets and objectives and be responsible for identifying, engaging and winning new support as well as maintaining and developing existing support from the community.
• Take responsibility for the line management of the Fundraising Team. and support and coach the development of the Fundraising Team.
• Liaise with all relevant colleagues to ensure that events and campaigns are promoted throughout the community.  To include providing content and gathering stories for web pages, social media and other communications as well as online resources for those interested in fundraising for the Hospice.
• To promote Halton Haven Hospice by organising and/or delivering talks to local community groups, schools and nurseries, businesses and other organisations.
• Record and process donations, correspondence and permissions on the database in accordance with the requirements of GDPR.  Acknowledge support and arrange cheque presentations; liaising with other departments as appropriate.

Members are an important source of volunteers for our governance and peer support groups. • Utilise Re-engage's CRM (OPUS) to inform evidence-based, data-driven decision-making to develop effective engagement plans.
• Working closely with the service delivery team ensuring that the right people are recruited and engaged into the right roles, in the right place, and at the right times.
• Collaborating with the communications team ensuring the widest possible publicity for the region’s needs through media and social media opportunities, local press, radio, TV, and online forums.
• Liaising closely with the fundraising team delivering against recruitment targets linked to grants.
• Working with the fundraising team on proposals and grant applications using regional knowledge, identifying local need, and collecting case studies.
• Identifying speaking and presenting opportunities ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to referrers.

The role

The Human Resources Officer, under the guidance of the Senior Office Manager (People and Finance), plays a crucial role in managing and executing the human resources functions within the Foundation.

Supporting the Direct Marketing Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering growth in voluntary income through our direct marketing acquisition programme utilising a range of campaigns and products, both online and offline. You’ll also be responsible for the development, implementation, day to day management, evaluation, and delivery of our acquisition portfolio.

Q:alliance provides support, information and representation for the LGBTQ+ people who live, work and play in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. We have detailed knowledge of the issues and challenges that organisations and individuals face locally.

It’s our goal to create more safe spaces and resources to ensure the LGBTQ+ community is well represented and supported.

Scope

This established role will engage the LGBTQ+ Schools Partnership Forum (Milton Keynes) to plan, deliver and evaluate educational programmes for young people and manage a 1:1 caseload of support for LGBTQ+ young people across schools, colleges, and youth services in Milton Keynes. You will develop and implement training to upskill teachers, education staff and youth workers. Working collaboratively with all partners to ensure safe spaces for young LGBTQ+ people across diverse settings with particular focus on increasing resilience, wellbeing, and mental health of LGBTQ+ youth communities.

You will work closely with our youth work team and CEO to determine targets for outreach, engagement, and effective monitoring systems to ensure robust reporting.

Main Responsibilities

· Networking – Strengthen the LGBTQ+ Schools Partnership Forum, supporting teachers, education staff and youth workers to access resources, implement inclusive learning environments and provide support for LGBTQ+ young people in their settings. Coordinate meetings with the network to update on shifting needs, priorities, and situations in a local and national context.

· Data capture and intelligence - Support Q;alliance’s commitment to sustaining a contemporary data and monitoring mechanism, guaranteeing we can deliver thorough evaluations of our services and competent feedback to our funders and stakeholders on the efficacy of our work. Analyse local intelligence directly from LGBTQ+ youth communities and use this to co-produce plans with young people to ensure our youth services are engaging and meeting needs.

· Support, information and empowerment – develop and implement resources for 1:1 education and resilience work with LGBTQ+ young people, provide support for young people in crisis, ensuring effective signposting to relevant services and collaboration with parents, guardians, teachers and education staff where appropriate.

· Innovation – work with the CEO, LGBTQ+ Schools Partnership Forum and young people to innovate a schools accreditation system that will acknowledge and cultivate schools’ competence to provide safe spaces and support for LGBTQ+ young people.

· Stakeholder and community engagement – Work with Communications and Engagement Manager to plan outreach activities in line with Engagement Plan and communicate with youth communities in line with our Communications Strategy. Forge and support enduring relationships with key partners, strengthening our commitment to building an alliance of cross-sector compassionate advocates for the LGBTQ+ community in its diverse forms.

· Education – Plan, develop and deliver positive and engaging classroom workshops and school assemblies to a wide range of young people, ensuring key messages are inclusive of diverse perspectives, including those from black and minoritized communities.

· Training - Develop and deliver training for teachers, education staff and youth workers with the aim of improving the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ youth communities and the capacity of those with the power to assist in this endeavour.

What you’ll bring to the team

You will serve as the first point of contact for schools, colleges and youth settings. You will help our youth workers understand the impact education has on the lives of our youth communities, whilst championing the good work of teachers and education staff who are trailblazers.
