Purpose of the Role

To lead and manage support staff, working with service users in their homes. Be aware of and work to trauma informed principles and manage the service as a psychologically informed environment. Ensure staff to work to psychologically informed principles and help service users to develop aspirations for their future. This will include developing goals for employment training and education. To assist support staff to achieve tangible progress outcomes for their support clients. Outcomes that are in line with Causeway’s mission and with LB Haringey’s contractual requirements. Work with the CEO to review and develop policies, including for specialist training and support as necessary. Support the CEO to develop and implement an organisational client mental health strategy, for all support services. Ensure staff understand the purpose of the service and their role in delivering outcomes. Ensure continuous learning and development across the team by embedding learning from training and service reviews. Work closely with Causeway’s internal Housing Team to ensure residents are complying with the terms of their tenancy or licence agreements. Lead on client involvement within the service. To represent CIHA at external events and meetings when necessary.

You will work a combination of office, client-home, community, and home-based working. Causeway is a 4-day week employer, so you will work 32 hours over 4 days a week. The charity offers a flexible working environment, with remote working and occasional travel to their London office for meetings.

This role will take the lead on the day-to-day operational delivery of fundraising campaigns, including campaign planning, financial management, working across teams and departments and line management. This role will focus on managing the warm programme, bringing in around £1.2 million per year. Also, supporting the recruitment and stewardship of donors to achieve the best supporter experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• To assist the Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement an effective supporter acquisition and development strategy to maximise the lifetime value of supporters and the long term sustainable net income raised.
• To manage income and expenditure budgets on a monthly and annual basis.
• To lead on the development and implementation of an effective programme to recruit and develop supporters using a range of channels, including but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, face-to-face fundraising, DRTV and digital, and products including cash, raffle, regular giving, weekly lottery.

You will be responsible for the operational delivery of our family accommodation service, including the management of the housekeeping team, and you will ensure that all families receive a warm welcome, and experience first-rate accommodation during their stay.

Income generation and team working

· Encourage donations and fundraising from guests and provide relevant information on ways they can support the charity

· Make introductions to the wider fundraising team

· Support Grand Appeal events including representing the charity at events as required

· Act as an advocate and spokesperson for the charity, to support media requests and donor visits

· Support the marketing and communications team to help identify suitable guests to be involved in future media requests and/or case studies

Other tasks

· Keep abreast of governance requirements pursuant to all charity activity, including but not limited to the Charities Act, Fundraising            Regulator, Institute of Fundraising Code of Practice, Gambling Commission and General Data Protection Regulation.

Reporting directly to the Regional General Manager, the Operations Service Manager will lead our Treatment Centre Operations team to achieve outstanding results aligned with our organisational priorities. As the Operations Service Manager, your primary responsibility will be to provide effective leadership and management to the Treatment Centre Operations team. Your role will involve ensuring that operational priorities are aligned with the overall organisational goals fostering a culture of safety, exceptional client experience, and sustainability within the treatment centre. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and optimising resources such as personnel, consumables, equipment, and property to ensure efficient operations. 

By working closely with other Operations Service Managers and departments, you will contribute to achieving organisational objectives and ensure the consistent delivery of a safe and sustainable service. Travel to the surrounding Community Treatment Centres will be required on an adhoc basis to improve your understanding and requirements of the role.

 is a 29-bed medium-low supported accommodation for young people between the ages of 16-25 that is staffed 24/7. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Support Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs and relationship building. Situated in the centre of Worthing, the service has strong links with and contributes to the local community.

Each Support Worker holds a caseload of residents and meets with them weekly to build a support plan and help them achieve their goals.

We are looking for a Supported Housing Support Worker to join our Worthing Foyer team. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Housing:

• Coach young people to manage their occupancy agreement and adhere to house rules, in preparation for independent living
• Promote a credit culture, encouraging young people to keep up to date with all payments for rent
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of housing and welfare benefits for young people and be well-informed on significant changes to housing law
• Deal effectively with non-compliance issues, such as non-payment of rent or damage to room, using restorative practices and working collaboratively with the rest of the team

Coaching and Engagement:

• Coach young people so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and take the lead in acquiring the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
• Ensure young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their own personal development, to engage with the services on offer and build strong networks and connections within the local community 
• Ensure consistent standards of safeguarding and Trauma Informed Practice when supporting young people, observing our safeguarding procedures, and keeping yourself and residents safe by respecting professional boundaries
• Maintain client records on In-Form (client database) detailing the young person’s journey in relation to their strengths and needs, any risks, and any outcomes (to monitor service performance)

General:

• Work as part of a team, on a rota shift pattern, ensuring young people at the service have non-judgemental, objective, and supportive staff during the day/evening, along with taking responsibility for personal safety during periods of lone working
• Contribute to a great working environment, with a calm, yet assertive manner, being able to handle potentially difficult situations
• Participate in relevant continuing professional development and utilise Reflective Practice Supervision as part of leading psychologically informed practice

• Knowledge of good safeguarding procedures in relation to young people and the ability to maintain effective professional boundaries
• Demonstrated confidence and competence in recording notes/actions in service log, incident forms and health and safety check lists

Skills and Abilities: 

• Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing for appropriate recording of a resident’s progression, and to evidence outcomes achieved
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including signposting and advocating for clients as necessary
• Ability to work autonomously, and use own initiative, as well as being part of a team
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, good IT, and keyboard skills
• Ability to de-escalate volatile situations and manage challenging behaviour appropriately

Our staff and volunteers offer continuity of care as we assist with emotional, practical and physical needs. Elayos values the importance of trauma-informed approaches and seeks to offer this to both staff and clients. As a Individual Giving Manager you will

• Lead on the development and implementation of an effective programme to develop supporters using a range of channels, including but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV and digital, and products including cash, raffle, regular giving, weekly lottery. 

• Assist the Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement an effective development strategy in order to maximise the lifetime value of supporters and the long-term sustainable net income raised for Barnardo's. 

• Manage income and expenditure budgets. 

• Line manage up to 3 direct reports. 

 You will have experience of :

• Working in a fundraising environment, specifically in direct marketing and across different channels.
• Delivering campaigns using a project management approach.

About the role

A new and exciting opportunity to work with us supporting the developments of active travel and liveable spaces for communities across the West Midlands. 

As the Project Officer you will lead and support behaviour change projects across the West Midlands and Staffordshire with schools, workplaces, job seekers and communities. Engaging with a range of key individuals and delivering walking and cycling activities such as Dr Bike sessions, led walks and rides, school assemblies and community workshops. 

As part of the Active Journeys Team, you will support people to walk, wheel and cycle by promoting opportunities and help overcome barriers to active travel. Projects will include improved walking and cycling infrastructure and making it possible for every child to walk, wheel and cycle to school. 

Activities will be delivered both Online and face to face, and likely to include schools, workplaces and the diverse range of communities in the Midlands. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

About you

You should have experience of leading physical activity or other behaviour change projects within schools, workplaces or communities. You should also have experience of working on projects within an established project management framework.  

You will have excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage own workload. You will be able to build and maintain strong relationships and a flexible and enthusiastic approach. With the ability to engage and support lesser heard voices in the community. 

We ask you demonstrate your knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and relevant knowledge of the West Midlands and its diverse range of communities.
