The Role
The Administrative Officer will play a key role in helping to ensure the smooth running of HEP’s operations, events, and communications, and in delivering the high-quality service that underpins our success. This role reports jointly to the Operations Manager and the Lead for Digital and Communications.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- First point of contact for schools, clients, suppliers, and visitors triaging issues and responding efficiently and helpfully to queries in person, via phone, and by email
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks including maintaining records and supporting internal workflows and some internal team communications
- Monitoring of shared inboxes across various teams, addressing enquiries in a timely manner
- Work closely with the Operations, Comms, CPD and Curriculum teams to support projects and workstreams
Event / Visitor Coordination
- Prepare and manage meeting rooms and training venues liaising with trainers and delegates
- Assist with the planning and delivery of in-person and online events, including training sessions, conferences, and away days
- Creati event collateral in a professional and timely manner
CPD Support
- Support with organising and hosting online and in-person training and courses
- Support with the development of CPD promotional material including brochures and flyers
- Support with uploading HEPs training programme and events onto website
- Support the technical and logistical setup for virtual meetings and webinars
Communications and Digital Support
- Website administration support, resolving member queries
- Help in creation and distribution of communication materials, such as flyers, newsletters, brochures,podcasts and content for social media/digital channels
- Work with the Communications Team to ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canva, Zoom, Mondaycom, Adobe Suite
- Good numeracy and data-handling skills
- Ability to manage time, prioritise effectively, and work flexibly across multiple tasks
- A proactive, positive, and collaborative approach to work
- A strong commitment to improving life chances for children and young people
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience of working in or with schools or education settings
- Experience with event coordination or customer service
- Familiarity with maintaining websites and basic content management systems

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join a small, committed and experienced team supporting children, young people and families before and after the death of a parent or sibling. SeeSaw is a local award-winning charity, established in 1999 and providing grief support for Oxfordshire families since 2000.
We are looking for candidates who have experience of working with children and young people, and their families. You may have gained experience in a range of settings, but the most important quality is the ability to communicate effectively and to make and sustain supportive relationships with families.
Our practitioners have a caseload of individual children and their families, and liaise with professionals from schools, health, social care and children and young people’s mental health services, as well as with our team of Volunteer Support Workers. You will be able to work collaboratively and on your own initiative, ideally have a qualification in health care, social work, counselling, psychological services or education; knowledge of therapeutic interventions in grief work would be helpful but not essential as training will be given.

IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. As testament to its’ success and in response to huge need, IKWRO has expanded and now provides unique and vital support for women and girls from all Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan (MENA) communities who are at risk of “honour” based violence, child marriage, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, domestic violence, sexual violence and other forms of gender violence.
IKWRO provides direct services including advocacy and professional counselling. IKWRO opened the UK’s first specialist Middle Eastern women’s refuge. IKWRO is regularly called upon to share expertise with government, academics, and media and to train professionals from bodies such as the police, social services and schools.
IKWRO has led the recognition of “honour” based abuse and “honour” killing as forms of violence against women and girls. Campaign successes include; the first extradition from Kurdistan-Iraq to the UK of perpetrators of “honour” killing of Banaz Mahmod, the UK’s criminalisation of forced marriage, child marriage, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, as well as the first ever national inspection of policing of “honour” based violence.

The Campaign and Communications Manager will work under the direction of the Executive Director of IKWRO and will be responsible for drafting and implementing IKWRO’s new campaign and communications strategy to achieve positive systemic legal and policy change, informed by the experiences of the women and girls that IKWRO represents. As Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supporting Nottingham Contemporary's ambitious development strategy to increase income, in collaboration with the Senior Development Manager who holds the overall responsibility for targets and strategy. Main Accountabilities

- Develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for trusts and foundations
- Research and lead on writing compelling applications with strong cases for support to trusts and foundations to secure grants in support of the organisation’s goals
- Prepare timely project report templates and reports on the outcomes of donor and funder support
- Support the Senior Development Manager with ongoing prospect research
- Lead on the identification and cultivation of appropriate corporate sponsors, devising carefully tailored and convincing proposals to secure additional funding
- Support with the delivery of a creative programme of cultivation and stewardship events for donors, funders and prospects
- Represent Nottingham Contemporary at internal and external private views, previews, meetings and events
The Person
We're looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to write compelling cases for support. The ideal candidate will be innovative, pro-active and able to adapt easily as a creative problem-solver. A team player, you'll relish working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
You’ll have a track record in fundraising or relationship management in the not for profit, cultural or other relevant sectors, in particular with trusts and foundations. You’ll have the ability to manage a busy workload to meet agreed deadlines, and your excellent organisational and project management skills will come in handy when organising a range of cultivation and stewardship events for donors, funders and prospects.

Contract: Maternity Cover, Full Time, 35 hours per week.

About the Team
The Philanthropy and Trusts Team raises circa £6m per year from philanthropists, trusts and foundations. The audience is individual philanthropists (gifts over £10k per annum), and trusts and foundations (grants over £25k per annum).
About the Role:
As Senior Philanthropy Manager (Maternity Cover) you will:
- Proactively build a personal portfolio of HNWIs and UHNWIs able to give £1m+ through relationship development, appropriate and dynamic pitching and influencing and negotiating expertise.
- Effectively line manage three direct line reports. Lead by example and support high performance, ensuring the professional and personal development goals of staff are met.
- Proactively manage, with the prospect research team, the philanthropy team’s new business pipeline to achieve team and organisational objectives, working across the Strategic Partnerships department and across the WaterAid Federation as appropriate.
- Be the senior level contact for all aspects of event planning and delivery, supporting the Philanthropy and Events Manager to manage the strategic planning, development and running of an events programme to time and budget for the benefit of the Philanthropy and Trusts Team, and where appropriate, the wider Strategic Partnerships Department.
Requirements
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Proven track record of raising “Principal gifts” of £1m+.
- Proven ability to manage a successful philanthropic portfolio, achieving targets as part of a strategic plan and maximising income from existing supporters.
- Experience managing the complexities of income management and KPI’s to monitor the teams progress and growth.
- Experience of line management / supervising the work of others; leading and motivating others and driving change.
- Be confident in leading work with senior level stakeholders, both internally and externally, in order to secure significant grants and manage strategic partnerships, using tact and diplomacy.
- Have a passion for international development, a commitment to WaterAid’s stated values and a working style that reflects these.

Where You’ll Be Delivering Our Mission
Most of the time, you’ll be based from our brand new Unloc Leeds office space in the city centre, or delivering programmes in Schools and Colleges in the Leeds City Region.
You’ll also be out and about delivering programmes to our partners in other areas across the North of England. Occasionally, you will travel to London or Portsmouth (our HQ) to spend time with other teams. You will likely have more travel in your first three months as part of your induction programme. Big Issue Changing Lives CIC is looking for an Support and Outreach Assistant to support the direct the direct delivery of services to individuals participating in Big Issue enterprises, including selling the Big Issue magazine. The core of the role is facilitating access for members of our Roma Communities to the Hand Up Service and other local services, resources and networks required to address the barriers they are facing to moving forwards out of poverty. Where local services and resources are not available you will also support the Outreach Team with the delivery of information, guidance and some direct interventions, such as training sessions, directly.
This is self-starter role in which you’ll be responsible for connecting with potential service users within the Roma community, introducing the service to them, sharing information from our Hand Up plus services and supporting them to engage with the core Hand Up service. You’ll be working within a small team of Outreach workers and will work to maintain a set of Service Standards which help maintain the quality of the service nationally.
The role is highly flexible and no two days are the same. You’ll bring your own experience and knowledge to the role, as well as your ability to speak Romanian. We will support you to build on that through an ongoing training and development programme which aims to ensure all Hand Up Service Team members have up to date, relevant, knowledge in key areas including housing, benefits, debt, immigration and more. In the course of a day, you’ll usually be working with service users across multiple of these issues and supporting engagement with a wide range of external agencies such as health services, local authorities, charities and more, to get access to services for those you are supporting.
Your main roles and responsibilities will be:
- Undertake phone and in person outreach to introduce the Hand Up service to Roma Big Issues vendors
- Delivery of direct intervention to Roma vendors using guidance and resources provided
