The Partnerships Manager will manage a portfolio of commercial and fundraising accounts totalling c.£250k, as well as some new business development. The portfolio includes a £60k per annum CRM relationship with Plum & Ashby, focused around the Wave of Light candle campaign for Baby Loss Awareness week, with lots of influencer and comms engagement. The new business element will support the Senior Partnerships Manager and the Head of Corporate in their new strategy for increased brand, strategic and coty partnerships.

• Extensive Legacy & In Memory fundraising experience with a minimum of two years at manager level

As a Support Worker you will be expected to enable and support vulnerable individuals with complex needs to address this while maintaining their tenancy with the long term goal of living in an independent setting by providing flexible and individually tailored support package. Working with excluded and hard to reach customers can be challenging, however, with intensive support this challenge can be broken. You will need to be able to engage our customers in a non-judgmental way. You will also be responsible for dealing with emergencies that may arise during your shift whilst remaining calm and using initiative then writing up incident reports amongst other administrative tasks.

As a support worker, you will be working as part of a team as well as with external agencies such as London Probation Service, local substance misuse services, Mental health teams, and police amongst others. Sometimes customers may not be linked in with agencies when they entre the service, as a support worker it is part of your role to ensure they are receiving the correct support from agencies required. Ideally, you will have experience of working with vulnerable people or an understanding of the needs of homelessness. You will be required to support customers with managing their arrears; ensuring housing benefit is applied for as well as monitoring payments and acting appropriately if payments are suspended in order to ensure customer does not fall into any arrears.

You will be responsible for supporting the working shift pattern of the service which is a five week rolling rota which consists of working some weekends as well as long days.

There will be a rota for shifts, with working patterns of 7:30-15:30 and 12:30-20:30. There will be some weekend work.

This role requires a valid Right to Work for the UK as Look Ahead are not a sponsoring organisation.

What you'll do:

Work proactively with Slough Hostel team to handle the service caseload and support an effective team approach to meeting each customer's identified needs.

What you will be doing:

• Building relationships with other charitable and social purpose led organisations, corporate and governmental customers from within the health and safety sector giving consideration of partnership opportunities

• Developing research methodologies and conducting analysis that provide insight into charitable opportunities in the UK and internationally that align with our charitable objects

• Establishing and embedding aligned and integrated social development processes that provide direction and guidance for undertaking charitable activities, including consideration of safeguarding procedures

• Contributing towards an organisation-wide communications strategy that showcases NEBOSH as a prominent health and safety education charity.

• Monitoring the social purpose programme budget including clearly reporting on both used and committed funds.

 About You:

Knowledge and Experience:

 Significant experience, with a track-record of effectiveness, in:

• Researching, Identifying and building new social development opportunities

• Project Management, including understanding of the Agile framework

• Demonstrating a commitment to positive social and environmental impact including development of  ESG and Sustainability Initiatives

• Business case and Tender application processes

• Budget management and accountability

• Reporting - formal report/paper writing at Board or equivalent leadership level

• Forging business relationships

• Not for profit or Charity organisations

What we offer

Work base:

The role will work in hybrid manner where you will work both from our office in Leicester and from home.

 Salary:

Up to £50,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role

1 in 10 children in the UK have serious emotional and behavioural difficulties, which place them at further risk of negative outcomes later in life. Chance UK’s mission is to help support them to reduce these difficulties, find and acknowledge their strengths and talents, and to help them flourish. We do this via a structured 1:1 weekly mentoring programme, which matches them with specialist youth workers to mentor them for up to a year, alongside a range of support for their parent/carers.

Our approach is different from other services – we are there with the child and the family to understand what’s important to them, what they need, and give them the support, space and time to ensure the whole family is stronger. Chance UK’s Parent Programme Managers play a vital role in engaging parents in the mentoring support their children are receiving in order to get the best outcomes and lasting long-term positive change for the children.
