We’re seeking an Administration Assistant to work alongside the Office Manager to provide Grants, Office and Finance admin support across the organisation to ensure the smooth running of Youth Music’s operations. The successful candidate will be a proactive individual, able to look ahead and plan for what’s coming up. You’ll also have strong IT and communication skills, experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines, with an eye for detail and an interest to work in the charity sector. You must have at least one year’s continuous experience working in a similar role.

Key responsibilities

 Office & Finance Administration

• Working alongside the Office Manager to ensure the smooth running of the office.
• Responding to general enquiries.
• Co-ordinating the weekly staff office duties rota.
• Co-ordinating the internal meeting room booking schedule.
• Support the Office Manager to coordinate the prompt and accurate weekly grants and invoice authorisation and payments process.
• Working alongside the Office Manager in the review of supplier’s contracts.
• Preparing the monthly petty cash and credit card reconciliation for authorisation.
• Depositing cheques and cash donations as soon as they are received and recording transactions.
• Overseeing the Finance inbox, monitoring enquiries and invoices.
• Ensuring all finance records are filed accurately and systematically.
• Provide HR administrative support.
• Providing administrative support across all teams as and when required.

Grants Administration

• Coordinate grants programme shortlisting and assessment panel meetings.
• Schedule the Grants and Learning Team enquiry rota, events and 1:1s for prospective applicants.
• Collate photos, music and other digital assets from funded partner reports for use on our communications channels.
• Provide administrative support for our youth participation activities.
• Supporting our work with Funding Advisors, including scheduling training, checking availability, and tracking invoices.

General

• Carrying out all such additional duties as are reasonably commensurate with the role.

Battersea is undergoing a significant transformation programme (known as Launchpad) to deliver real change in the way we work with, utilise, and learn from data. Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator

Carers’ Hub works to improve carers’ lives in Lambeth through quality services and community engagement. We are an independent local charity, who work with carers aged five upwards. Whether financial, educational or otherwise, they seek to limit the challenges that carers face and achieve this by improving carer’s wellbeing, connecting carers to support and training opportunities, awareness raising and influencing local policy. We are now recruiting for a Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator to join our team.

As the Young Adult Carers Service Coordinator you will: 

• Deliver an engaging, accessible range of workshops, social activities and one to one support for our young adult carers, working to targets and ensuring timely and accurate reporting to funders.

• Support the wider young carers service by being a first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries. 

• Develop external relationships and communications in a way that promotes the welfare of carers in Lambeth and enhances the image of the organisation. 

• Work with the Carers' Hub team to support our wider organisational objectives and helping out with events, communications and other ad hoc work.

To be considered for this role you will have experience of working with vulnerable young people and managing complex cases as well as knowledge of safeguarding protocols including referring and escalation to Children’s Social Care. Candidates with a professional qualification in health and social care, youth or community work, and/or direct experience of delivering family focused interventions are encouraged to apply. 

Please note, this is a part-time role, 21-hours per week, ideally spread across 3 days. You will be based on site at their Brixton office, with the option of home working 1 day per week, as well as outreach/in the community. You will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS for Adults and children.

This role is crucial in supporting the Head of Strategy in developing the organisational strategy and operational plans, making sure that everything stays on track.

As Employer Partnerships Manager, your role is to grow our employer partner numbers and support our existing employer partners to get the most out of their partnership with us. • Make sales to employers

Working with our New Business Lead and the wider Employer team, you’ll secure and conduct meetings with employers in which you’ll listen to their needs, communicate our mission to them, demonstrate our offering and seek to secure their ongoing subscription.

• Maintain excellent relationships with existing partners and secure their subscriptions

You’ll onboard new partners, conduct regular check-in calls and consultatively support our employer partners to make the most of their partnership with us. It’s crucial that you maintain a sky-high resubscription rate.

• Delivering our existing services for partner employers

As the partnerships manager for your employers, you would be responsible for delivering on the different aspects of the partnership, including:

• Matching campaigns

• Webinars, online fairs and in-person events

The Individual Giving Manager in the Mass Fundraising team will work closely with the Senior Individual Giving Manager and Mass Lead to develop the programme across membership, lottery, raffle and digital fundraising.

As Individual Giving Manager you will:  

• Lead on the RNID weekly lottery, which this year will be launching private site face to face recruitment
• Manage our two annual raffles

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will have at least 2 years' experience of delivering impactful policy and public affairs activities in a similar role, and experience and/or an understanding of the social welfare advice sector, the issues faced by advice providers and the communities they serve. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering proactive stakeholder management and working with partners to deliver policy goals and/or research activity. You will have experience of commissioning or delivering research and insight products and effective communication of research and insight activity to raise profile and amplify policy and advocacy goals. You will have experience of managing and motivating staff.

You will have the ability to build strong working relationships with peers, managers, members, partners and suppliers, with strong analytical, decision-making and organisational skills. You will have strong communication skills including using online forums, communities and events as an engagement tool. You will be able to use online reporting tools and CRMs and embrace new technologies and ways of working.

The role

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop a strategy for international for major gifts fundraising
• Manage and maintain a portfolio major gift donors and prospects, across PETA international entities
• Effectively steward donors and prospects

• Solicit major financial contributions from targeted donors
• Manage a pipeline of prospects, creating engaging opportunities for donors to increase their giving to a higher level
