About the role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified immigration advisor to lead on key elements of our Change of Conditions casework service as maternity cover for the coming year including our ‘self-submissions’ support programme and second-tier CoC advice.
The Unity Project (TUP) supports people who are facing poverty and homelessness because their immigration status allows them ‘no recourse to public funds’ (NRPF). We believe NRPF should not exist and we are working to end it. Until then, we seek to minimise its impact by supporting people to make the ‘change of conditions’ (CoC) application to access public funds. As part of this work, we continually develop new casework approaches to make CoCs more accessible to more people. By taking a strategic approach to our casework, we have opened up new routes for people to move through the process, and achieved greater recognition of groups with particular needs. We have also supported numerous strategic legal challenges which have prompted significant changes to the immigration rules and guidance related to CoCs.
In this cover position, you will play a key role in our strategic casework. You will be responsible for TUP’s ‘self-submissions’ casework provision for applicants who submit their own CoC applications independently. You will support with other strategically significant casework as required, including by liaising with public law firms, writing witness statements for JR challenges and communicating directly with Home Office policy teams. You will also share our CoC expertise with the sector through second-tier advice and training workshops.
The role will suit someone who has prior experience of supporting clients with NRPF, an interest in broader immigration policy and the desire to apply those skills to a specialist context. The role requires someone who can adapt quickly and apply a strategic mindset to the challenge of using legal routes to achieving systemic change.

Essential Criteria
Significant experience in talent management, artist relations, or high-level PR/communications

Responsibilities of our Cat Scientist - Emerging Welfare Technology
Support the development, validation, and practical application of feline welfare data collection tools.
Coordinate on-site technical logistics and data collection at UK adoption centres, including hardware deployment and software troubleshooting, while designing resilient, internet-enabled monitoring systems.
Use specialised programming skills to develop and maintain interactive software applications, creating user-friendly mechanisms for stakeholders to interrogate research outputs and inform management decisions.
Act as technical project lead for the transition of a Markerless Pose Estimation (MPE) system from external academic development into internal pipelines for automated cat behaviour and activity monitoring.
Lead and support on evidence synthesis projects and associated publications, in order to create robust knowledge bases for shelter, unowned and owned cat welfare and risk factors.
About the Research team:
The Feline Welfare Research Team are a small but growing team of six scientists, who sit within the wider Cat Welfare department. The team supports the organisation in improving our understanding of feline welfare both on a population and individual basis across a range of disciplines including epidemiology, demography and welfare assessment.
The team are responsible for providing the charity with scientific expertise.
What we’re looking for in our Cat Scientist - Emerging Welfare Technology:
Extensive experience undertaking non-invasive animal behaviour and welfare studies, including first-author publications.
Significant experience in research project design and leadership, including planning, oversight, and completion of projects on time and within budget.
Experience leading and advising on data-led research and innovation projects to inform animal management or conservation strategies
Strong programming and statistical data analysis skills including experience of transitioning academic research or coding systems into practical, operational tools to support positive animal health and welfare outcomes
Solid grasp of research principles and the ability to find, absorb, and apply new analytical techniques

We’re looking for an inspiring Marketing Executive (events and sports) to support the development and delivery of product-specific campaigns, with a specific focus on Race for Life, to achieve the relevant product objectives for Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement.
This role will support us with providing broad support for the delivery of the product marketing plan.
What will I be doing?
Support the translation of the marketing plan into cross-channel integrated briefs.
Support the Proposition Marketing team on all aspects of campaign delivery including direct mail production, fulfilment, email marketing and paid digital campaign delivery, with a particular focus on developing the Race for Life Fundraising Pack and series of supporter journey emails for participants.
Work with Data Selections, Email & SMS Team, Web Analytics, Social and Marketing Delivery teams to deliver campaigns
Support the content and creative production process, working with agencies, freelancers and internal Creative Team to develop compelling creative across a range of channels.
Provide operational support for the campaign set-up processes across all channels, including auditing campaign elements prior to launch.
Conduct in-campaign and post-campaign analysis, evaluating against KPIs and preparing reports for the Senior Executive and Manager.
Work collaboratively with teams across Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement to share learnings and best practice.

What are we looking for?
Experience of successfully delivering multi-channel campaigns, from planning through to execution and analysis.
Understanding of end-to-end supporter journeys and the role of different channels in fully integrated campaigns.
Experience of developing campaign assets for use across channels.
Data-driven with an understanding of UX principles and experience of interpreting results and recommending opportunities for optimisation.
Ability to prioritise, manage conflicting deadlines, work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks to deadline.
Proven success of good stakeholder management, with the ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate effectively.
Passionate marketer with an interest in external trends and developments.
