We are seeking a Volunteer Services Manager to provide leadership, guidance and development to this Volunteering Team and act as an ambassador for volunteering across all Battersea centres and externally. They will have overall responsibility for recruitment and development of volunteers, policies and processes relating to volunteer involvement, and lead in increasing the standard of the volunteering experience across the organisation and creating new opportunities, in all areas of our work.

Lamp, an established Community Mental Health Advocacy charity, is seeking to appoint a Head of Advocacy and Support.

In this role, you will support the development and implementation of Picker's policy influencing strategy to make person centred health and social care a reality for everyone. To manage and develop the b inspired Neighbourhood Support Service in Braunstone, ensuring that business plan targets are achieved and positive community impact is delivered.

Responsible for operational management of the staff team, volunteers and site. Oversee and develop partnership working arrangements with other agencies and providers, to enhance the offer to local residents.  Ensuring resident engagement and consultation is a priority and contributes to the Neighbourhood Management arrangements.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Staff Management:

1. Provide strong leadership (lead by example) ensuring that “front-line” staff are well-motivated and aspire to excellence in service provision.

2. Provide day-to-day management and supervision of service-based Co-ordinaters and other support staff, ensuring business plan targets are achieved.

3. Recruit, select, train (product, systems and procedures), coach, motivate, supervise and appraise staff in order to meet the Neighbourhood Support Business Plan targets.

4. Analyse the training needs of staff, identifying skill sets and the need for development where appropriate. Work with the HR Officer to ensure training is relevant and conducted in a structured manner as part of a personal development plan.

5. Plan and arrange staff work patterns, in conjunction with Service Co-ordinators, ensuring that annual leave and flexi-leave arrangements meet the needs of the service.

6. Ensure that team members maintain accurate, comprehensive and current records via the company management information system

7. Lead the development of a robust Volunteer Strategy.

Direct Services & Project Management:

8. Plan new projects in collaboration with senior management.

9.  Source and respond to funding opportunities (grants, donations, contracts) – completing applications and tenders with associated budgets.

10. Create work plans which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully deliver and complete projects.

11. Control projects and write reports for management and for funders

12.  Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements and contracts.

13.  Prepare financial, monitoring and evaluation reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreements and contracts.

14.  Ensure that maintenance schedules for the neighbourhood Support Base are adhered to and that an efficient and cost effective method of repair and replacement is in place, to keep the housekeeping standards at a high level.

15.  Supported by the Head of Operations, maintain operational policies and procedures and ensure that day to day health and safety standards are maintained in line with legislation.

Financial Management:

16. Ensure that the Neighbourhood Support Service and associated projects remains cost effective by ensuring expenditure is contained within agreed budgets. Tracking expenditure and reducing or eliminating unnecessary costs while maintaining quality.

17. Ensure Service Co-ordinaters fully understand and adopt financial systems and that adequate records are in place to exercise budgetary control.

18. Regularly report progress against the Business Plan targets and budgetary information to the Chief Officer for reporting through to the Board.

19. Supported by Head of Operations, create annual budgets and Business Plans for the service and projects in line with the company planning cycles.

Neighbourhood Development & Resident Engagement:

20.  Promote and develop good relationships with local service providers and delivery partners - helping them to be responsive and sensitive to local needs.

21. Oversee the maintenance and promotion of the Braunstone Neighbourhood Management Board.

22. Co-ordinate and organise local surveys and consultations in the Braunstone area and collate/ analyse the findings for dissemination.

23.  Oversee the creation of the bi-annual Braunstone Neighbourhood Action Plan.

General Duties:

24. Carry out work in such a way as to promote the Company’s wider aims, objectives and agreed policies.

You will help maximise supporter recruitment and development opportunities whilst ensuring long-term growth for St Giles Hospice.

To manage the delivery of the Individual Giving Programme which includes recruiting new cash and regular giving supporters from a variety of multi-channel campaigns and initiatives. To deliver the warm campaigns such as cash appeals, regular giving, raffles and lottery.

What you will do:

Provide leadership, guidance, and effective line management to a team of suicide prevention advisers.

Ensure a consistent and high-quality service is delivered through effective quality assurance processes.

Manage staffing and resources effectively to ensure the efficient running of the helpline service.

This senior role will manage and oversee OTR’s Wellbeing services, which include our listening support and counselling offerings for young people in the community and at schools, colleges, and universities across BaNES, and will also include our new social prescribing service.

The post holder will be part of OTR’s senior management team (SMT), working closely with the Head of Voice Services and Head of Resources as well as the CEO to actively oversee the growth and development of the organisation, and delivery of our strategy.

RNIB is pleased to announce this exciting opportunity to join RNIB's Eye Care Support Services (ECSS).

In this role, you will be a vital member of the management team, providing operational leadership and line management support to Eye Care Liaison Officers (ECLO) and managing all aspects of operational delivery in our ECLO Services across the North of England (including but may not be limited to Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, Cumbria, County Durham & Teeside). You will also participate in the strategic and business planning processes working with key internal and external key stakeholders.

Working with the Eye Care Support Services Management team, you will support and maintain key relationships across health and social care to ensure that RNIB can reach more people with sight loss, earlier. Working across RNIB functions, you will also manage key internal relationships to support the delivery of our service to ensure patients access support at a time which is right for them.

You will have a vocational qualification in management, advice and guidance, or be experienced in successfully managing information and advice services. You will have demonstrable knowledge of key stakeholders involved within health and social care, excellent people management skills and have the ability to motivate and manage a geographically dispersed team, demonstrating an open and transparent management style who is solution focussed with a can-do approach to motivate and inspire your team.

You will be experienced in producing reports, delivering presentations, meeting Key Performance Indicators and a proficient user of Microsoft Office Packages and CRM systems.

Supporting ECLOs and services mainly across the North of England and other UK contracts as required, this role will involve, regular local and occasional national travel where there will requirements for occasional overnight stays.

This role is eligible for an enhanced criminal record check which includes a check of the children's and adults barred lists as the role holder will provide advice and guidance to children which relates to their physical and emotional wellbeing and adults which relates to personal care because of their disability.

The Role:

Fundraising at Julian House is stepping into its next phase of growth, and we are looking for a strategic and innovative Senior Fundraising Manager to lead the team to new heights.

Fundraising generates vital income for the charity, helping us to provide life-changing and life-saving support for vulnerable people across the South West. We are looking for someone who can grow income across a range of streams in support of this mission, with a focus on regular giving, major donors, corporate partnerships, and legacies.

You will be leading a small team of committed, creative fundraisers, with the autonomy to establish new work streams from scratch and develop your team to help you deliver ambitious strategies and campaigns.

This is an exciting time to be joining Julian House, as the charity seeks to establish itself as a significant, force for tackling social exclusion across the South West. The Senior Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in this by developing new, high-impact relationships with individuals, businesses and trusts which generate meaningful income for the charity.

Responsibilities include: 

• Managing our wide-ranging fundraising portfolio, working with your team to maintain our existing supporter base and recruit new supporters for Julian House from across the South West.
• Working with the Fundraising and Marketing Director to develop new strategies for growth from regular givers, major donors, legacies, and corporate partnerships.
• Working with your team to bring new strategies to life, upskilling them to deliver as required.  
• Building and stewarding relationships with high-value supporters (individuals, corporates and trusts) to secure sustainable income.
• Creating and delivering inspiring annual fundraising appeals with your team which generate substantial income for the charity.
• Overseeing a calendar of fundraising events and community engagement in our Bath heartlands.
• Ensuring that the Donorfy CRM system is being used to its full potential to track performance of fundraising; target campaigns according to supporter profile; and report on the data we capture to shape current and future activity.

Qualifications / Requirements: 

• Significant knowledge and experience of a wide range of fundraising; with a demonstrable track record of growing income in at least two of our fundraising growth areas: legacies, major donors, corporate partnerships or regular givers.
• Experience of leading and implementing strategies, including setting and overseeing strategic projects led by others.
• Experience of using CRM systems to their full potential, interpreting donor data, analysing findings and making decisions based on your analysis. Knowledge and experience of the Donorfy platform is desirable, but not essential. 
• Knowledge of the homelessness or social inclusion sectors would be desirable, but not essential.
