About the role

You'll be responsible for a specific geographical area, managing both rental and shared ownership properties, working collaboratively with people from a range of organisations. About you

You will need to be comfortable working flexibly as part of a team and able to prioritise your own working. You'll have experience of working in and delivering an effective housing and tenancy management service within a customer-focussed organisation, and will be familiar with various housing options and solutions. You'll also need a good working knowledge of Housing Law as it applies to tenancies.

Other key requirements include:

• communication skills with the ability to engage with our customers professionally and with empathy in person, on the phone and in writing;
• of creating and building partnerships with other agencies to support service delivery;
• in using Microsoft Office (including Outlook), and CRM systems.

A social care or housing management qualification is desirable, as is experience with housing management systems and a current driving licence.

About the role

The Partnerships Officer role will be part of the Business & Industry team (11 people), who have responsibility for all funding and industry relationships across EngineeringUK. The team works strategically with stakeholders across the engineering, technology and education sectors, to support our mission to increase the number and diversity of young people choosing engineering and technology careers.

As part of the New Partnerships team (3 people), you will be helping to identify and secure new relationships with industry, to support delivery of all four areas of our organisational strategy: research and evidence, collective action, activities for schools, and advocacy.
 

This will primarily focus on securing support for our work to engage young people through:

• The Big Bang programme which comprises The Big Bang Fair, the UK’s largest STEM Careers Fair; the Big Bang at School, smaller Fairs within schools; and The Big Bang Competition
• Energy Quest and Climate Schools Programme, which are programmes to engage young people within the school environment.

Are you passionate about improving support for families affected by substance misuse?

This could be the perfect role for you! The Family Support Worker is an exciting role within a growing and dynamic team, where you can help to make a real difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Lambeth. 

Having identified a gap in the identification of young carers and adult carers looking after someone with substance misuse issues, over the past year we have successfully piloted a project to identify and provide long-term support to these carers. We are now entering the second year of the project, and are looking for a new Family Support Worker to bring their expertise, enthuasism and ideas to the next stage of the project. 

The Family Support Worker will work across our Young Carers and Adult Carers Service to provide support to families affected by substance misuse, through whole-family assessments and reviews. The successful candidate will ensure that adult and young carers, and their families, have access to a range of emotional and practical support appropriate to their needs.

The successful candidate will have an understanding of working within the substance misuse field and an understanding of associated health and social issues. They will preferably have experience of working with both adults, children and young people. We are seeking candidates with a professional qualification in health & social care, youth or community work, and/or direct experience of delivering family focused interventions.

The Meridian One Community Garden serves as a space where we focus on cultivating fruit, salad, and vegetable produce. We involve the local community by hosting weekly volunteer gardening sessions, welcoming school visits, and organising various community events.

TCV is seeking a Senior Project Officer with expertise in community engagement, event coordination, and managing community facilities. The garden, which was established one year ago, encompasses facilities such as an office, a community meeting/education room, toilets, and a spacious polytunnel.

The Senior Project Officer will oversee a range of tasks including planning and executing community events, maintaining site Health & Safety, leading volunteers in practical projects like building wooden planters, tending to garden plants, and ensuring timely completion of administrative duties such as procurement, risk assessments, social media updates, and task reporting. They will also lead activities for the under 5’s Nature Explorers group, school visits, themed evening events, and family weekends. Additionally, they'll organise corporate volunteering sessions and cover holiday shifts for the Green Gym gardening program. Previous events have included 'Pampering and Enrichment,' 'Repurpose, Recycle, Reinvent' workshops, and a Black Women in Conservation and Horticulture photo exhibition, as well as our weekend family events featuring free food, music, and arts and crafts activities.

This role involves being friendly and open to various people who visit, from the toddlers attending the Nature Explorers club, to our volunteer gardeners, to senior staff from the local authority. There are two other people working part-time at the garden, and TCV provides thorough training and support from a helpful local team.

Ideally, we’re looking for someone with experience of gardening and/or nature conservation. However, what’s equally important is that the Senior Project Officer has initiative, is welcoming, and comfortable working with a wide range people. We’d therefore welcome applications from candidates who can display those personable qualities, with perhaps experience of working in a community centre setting.

In Spring 2024, TCV will be taking on the management of an additional nearby meanwhile space. The new Senior Project Officer will join us at an exciting time when we begin to turn that space into a new community tree nursery. Working with local people to gather seeds from significant trees in the surrounding area, we aim to grow saplings which will go on to be distributed for planting around London.

Working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Given the nature of the role the Senior Project Officer will need to work from the garden during these times. Weekend family events take place on Saturdays, four times a year and there are approximately six evening events which take place between April to September. As a part of this role, you will oversee tasks such as donation processing, acknowledgement of donations and gift aid, including creating thank you letters and recording information and interactions with donors accurately on the fundraising database. You will also manage and maintain relationships with external stakeholders monitoring their performance through KPIs and SLAs. As an excellent Customer Services and Central Admin Officer, you will need:

• Strong income processing knowledge and experience  
• Track record of providing excellent and outstanding customer service to donors
• Strong attention to detail, problem solving and communication skills including ability to liaise with external stakeholders
• Ability to work as a team player and independently with proven track record of working on own initiative

Salary: £28,000 – £32,00

We are seeking for a Programme Officer in the Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF) team.

The role

As Programme Officer, you will provide operational and administrative support across the entire portfolio of LIF activities, focusing on the LIF Global programme and the LIF Community. This role will involve some international travel.

Precisely, you will support the programme by organising training and mentoring, local and international events for a global network of engineering and technology entrepreneurs; and building and maintaining a sustainable international network of LIF alumni.

LIF empowers entrepreneurs who are making a positive impact in their communities with novel technologies. LIF Global is the flagship, entry-point programme that supports innovators with a technology prototype to create an entrepreneurial mindset, and the LIF Community ensures a sustained mutually beneficial relationship with the Academy beyond the initial programme period.

Who are we looking for?

A highly organised individual with excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work across multiple projects, managing delivery according to priority and deadline. You are an effective communicator, both orally and in writing, and have the ability to adapt to a wide array of cultural contexts.

You understand the contribution of engineering and technology entrepreneurship and innovation to international development; and have·some knowledge/demonstrable interest in good practice in supporting entrepreneur development, including training, coaching and mentoring. You also have knowledge/demonstrable interest of good practice in managing suppliers of training and communications services.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality palliative and holistic care services to children and their families in our local communities.
