WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PROGRAMME LEAD (AYLA)

The National Society for Education (NSE) is both an NCI and a Royal-charter charity. It's aims are to support Church schools and the wider education sector by developing leaders, shaping policy and growing faith.

The NSE leads the Church of England's national work in education in partnership with 41 Diocesan Boards of Education and approximately 4,700 Church of England schools. We also support the national education work of the Church in Wales, which includes around 150 schools. Our presence extends to work with community schools and academy trusts, as well as higher and further education through numerous chaplaincies, providing spiritual support and guidance to children and young people, and to adults.

The Church of England's Vision and Strategy for the 2020s has three priorities, one of which is to be a church which is younger and more diverse. As part of this, the House of Bishops want to ensure that a flourishing child, youth and families ministry is within reach of every young person in England.

The NSE is working with the Vision and Strategy team to help deliver this vision through a range of projects in our 'growing faith' pillar which focus on the intersection between church, home and school; aiming to develop the faith life of children and young people, whilst also growing young leaders.

We are a dynamic team, working remotely from our homes around the country. We gather regularly online and also have in-person team days through the year.

What you'll be doing

The purpose of this role is to design, develop and implement the Archbishops' Young Leaders Award (AYLA). The AYLA is an existing programme that is offered across all key stages 1 to 4 to participating schools. The Award is completed by pupils and learners across England and Wales and is aimed at developing their leadership skills. The role is expected to lead and manage the effective delivery of this programme including design, quality assurance, engagement of strategic stakeholders and support the financial sustainability of the programme.

• Providing strategic oversight of the Archbishops' Young Leaders Award.
• Developing effective curriculum models, resources and learning experiences.
• Ensuring high quality learning and development through robust design and evaluation.
• Engaging stakeholders and deepening partnership commitments.

• A salary of £59,248 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

The role of CEO at Emerge is full of opportunity and potential. It is varied and at times complex, requiring a person of integrity, person centred leadership skills and responsibility.

The majority of the role fits within a standard working day, but it will involve some evening working, and occasional weekend work recognised through an informal time in lieu process. There is some scope to work at home occasionally but youth work and leading a youth work charity mainly requires your regular presence in our offices and venues.

Your Role

As our Head of Alternative Provision, you’ll lead the development and delivery of our new Alternative Provision service, supporting young people who are struggling to thrive in mainstream education. This is a hands-on role at the start, shaping the model, refining plans, and directly managing delivery. As the service grows, your focus will shift to leading its further development, maintaining quality, and expanding provision across sites.

You’ll be part of our Senior Management Team and play a key role in building strong partnerships with schools, commissioners and families, ensuring we provide outstanding, therapeutic and accredited learning opportunities. Through these relationships, you’ll also help identify new ways for No Limits to support schools and families to meet young people’s needs.

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Leading the development, delivery and quality assurance of our Alternative Provision service
• Overseeing service design, safeguarding, risk management and outcomes for young people
• Building and maintaining strong partnerships with schools, local authorities and commissioners
• Acting as subject expert on Alternative Provision, SEMH and EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
• Managing teams, budgets, quality assurance, and resources effectively

Role Terms

Job Summary

The People Administrator supports the effective delivery of all employee life cycle activities. With a focus on ensuring processes are followed accurately, efficiently, in line with audit and compliance standards and enabling a positive employee experience.

This is a cross-functional role, working closely with Head of People, to ensure smooth onboarding, offboarding, and employee changes. Plus supporting the board of trustees with email communication, booking meetings and collating responses to policy sign off and checking availability for main board and subcommittee meetings.

The People Administrator will be the first point of contact for employee queries related to policies, systems, and HR processes.

General People Administration & Support

• Act as the first point of contact for People-related queries, providing support both face-to-face and electronically, ensuring professional and timely responses.
• Work with others across the organisation to promote awareness and provide support where required on EDI and internal Access.
• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Head of People, including data entry, booking & delivering inductions, photocopying, scanning, preparing contractual documentation, and general correspondence.
• Maintain accurate and efficient records of all People-related activities, ensuring data is securely stored and handled in compliance with GDPR legislation.
• Monitor and manage the People and Recruitment emails, responding to and redirecting enquiries efficiently and appropriately.

Recruitment, Onboarding and Offboarding

• Support the coordination and administration of recruitment campaigns with Hiring Managers, including advertising roles, scheduling interviews, and processing candidates via the recruitment procedures.
• Deliver effective onboarding and induction processes for new starters, ensuring all steps are followed and documented, and contributing to a positive candidate experience.
• Assist with job offer processes, including drafting conditional offer letters, conducting reference checks, verifying right-to-work documentation, and updating relevant systems.
• Ensure effective communication with the Payroll Officer in relation to new starters and leavers, including checking accrued holiday balances prior to confirming leaver letters.
• Respond to reference requests for current and former employees in a timely manner.

People Systems, Data & Reporting

• Confidently use systems and other digital tools to input and maintain people’s data accurately.
• Run regular reports and provide performance or management information (MI) within agreed timescales.
• Analyse data to validate accuracy and identify trends or issues that require further attention.

· Maintain and update organisation charts and headcount data on a monthly basis

· Contribute to regular updating of the People section of the intranet.

• Carry out general People administration and maintain electronic based systems for all staff including existing and new employee details, annual leave, leaver administration, payroll changes, absence and training records.

Meetings & Communication & Board Support

• Provide administrative support for employee relations casework and people-related projects, including scheduling, document preparation, and note-taking.
• Attend and provide support at formal meetings, including disciplinary, grievance, or performance reviews, as required.
• Accurately take and distribute minutes for internal meetings, including Board, Committee, and annual staff meetings.
• Set up and coordinate meeting logistics (both virtual and in-person), including booking rooms, IT setup, and arranging access or other relevant requirements.
• Arrange and distribute board papers as directed by the CEO, record responses, and manage related meeting logistics.
• Be the key contact with the Board of Trustees – arranging the Board meetings and other engagements with them.
• Manage Companies House & Charity Commission submissions for Trustees, act as a custodian of their information and documents.

Continuous Improvement and Projects

• Support the delivery and organisation of ad-hoc People projects/ events, wellbeing activities, and internal engagement initiatives.
• Identify and resolve day-to-day issues independently, escalating matters to the Head of People as needed

This role is responsible for setting the vision and overseeing delivery for our UK-wide grant making portfolio which offers larger funding to organisations looking to scale impact and shift systems, benefitting communities across the UK. The postholder will have accountability for over £110 million in grant funding annually, and play a central role in ensuring public money is used responsibly, strategically, and with transformative impact.

This is a crucial leadership appointment – you will be part of the Funding Strategy, Innovation and UK directorate leadership team contributing to how we design, and deliver bold, community-led solutions to meet the challenges of our time, aligned with our equity-focused funding ambitions.

We are looking for an engaging candidates who can provide clear leadership to this vital brief months. You will be responsible for representing the Fund and to continue to develop excellent relationships with senior level external stakeholders as well as actively engaging with and building constructive relationships with senior level colleagues across the Senior Management Team and all Directorates.

CAP is a national charity that is driven to help release people from debt, poverty and their causes through partnering with local churches.  We do this by providing a variety of services: CAP Debt Help, CAP Job Clubs, CAP Release Groups and CAP Life Skills.  We also help churches teach basic budgeting and money management skills through our CAP Money course.  Our debt help service involves holding client assets. Purpose:

The finance department is going through an exciting period of transformation. Working alongside the Chief Financial Officer and the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will help shape the strategy and delivery of excellent forward-facing financial planning, statutory and regulatory reporting, costing and client asset management.

• Build and develop a strong finance operations function with robust internal and external controls through active line management and regular training

• Advise the Chief Financial Officer on technical areas of expertise, undertaking research as required, in particular financial reporting, VAT and tax.

The Role
