The Epilepsy Research Institute is looking to appoint an Executive Assistant (EA) to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

This is a unique opportunity to be part of our team and play a central role in supporting the CEO across a range of duties. This is a new post which requires an individual with exceptional organisational skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and discretion.

Working closely with the Gower team, as well as the Association’s Nature-based Solutions programme, you’ll help develop systems that drive landscape-scale action. About the role

FLEX is looking for a passionate advocate with a good understanding of the UK political system, of labour abuse and/or exploitation and human trafficking in the UK, and demonstrable experience of coalition working and building relationships with key stakeholders working in the anti-trafficking, employment rights, and/or immigration sectors. This recruitment comes at an exciting and challenging time for our work at the intersection of employment rights and immigration policy. This role will inform and support our work to influence and improve law, policy and practice affecting worker in high-risk sectors in the UK.

SEEAC is a non-profit organisation that provides community-based support, especially to migrants, refugees and others facing marginalisation.

This role provides vital welfare advice, casework, and safeguarding support, including for those affected by hate crimes.

We're looking for someone with 3+ years’ experience in community or non-profit work, strong knowledge of UK welfare systems, and fluency in English and at least one ESEA language.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and champion welfare within the community
• Provide confidential and objective casework advocacy for service users

Benefits

£29,120 - £30,576 per annum FTE (full-time equivalent) pro rata plus pension contribution. Flexible homework is offered in a hybrid setting, with in-person work based at the SEEAC office in East London. To create a better collaboration with other staff members, SEEAC, however, require all staff members to work in the office or on-site occasionally as required. Opportunities for skills development training are offered. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, on a full-time or 4-days/week part-time (0.8 FTE) basis, for a September start. SEEAC’s full-time is 5 days per week (35hrs per week).

We are seeking a new Finance and Administration Officer following the upcoming retirement of a long-serving team member. A key member of the SLA central office team, the Finance and Administration Officer plays a vital role in ensuring smooth financial operations and providing essential administrative support for our membership. In addition to administration support, this role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, book-keeping and effective day-to-day financial operations, producing financial reports using XERO and our CRM.

You will be experienced in financial and administration operations of a charity or similar , with an AAT qualification or matching worked experience. Familiarity with XERO will be an advantage. You will be able to bring understanding of cashflow and financial analysis of figure, working with accountants as required.

You will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to work effectively with all stakeholders from our members, to funders to suppliers. You will be determined and have an excellent eye for financial and administrative detail. Your duties will include general administration and:

Financial operations and record-keeping

• Manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate records of all SLA accounts and petty cash; book-keeping
• Process and record all incoming payments, including foreign cheques (into bank account)
• Monitor cashflow and expenditure, keeping track of spending
• Pay invoices upon approval and ensure timely monthly payments (e.g. pensions, HMRC)
• Handle creditor and supplier communications and resolve related issues

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee the strategic delivery of Care4Calais’ operational (direct aid provision) work across all regions. • Proven experience in leading organisational change within the charity (ideally social care) or housing sectors, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.
• Strong cashflow management expertise, ideally gained in environments with high staffing costs and low margins.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with and influence Boards and committees, with a clear articulation of financial risks and strategy.
• A balance of strategic vision and hands-on financial leadership, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams and fostering cross-functional engagement.

A fantastic permanent opportunity has arisen for a part-time Fundraising Officer to join our dynamic, friendly and supportive fundraising team. This is a home-based role and will suit an individual living in the North of England. You will be reporting to the Corporate & Regional Fundraising Manager and working in a very varied and exciting working environment.

The perfect candidate will enjoy forging positive and robust relationships with supporters including corporate partners, small businesses, philanthropic groups as well as supporting community fundraisers across the North of England, to raise vital income for our Association.  

You will use your creative and professional skillset to provide high-quality account management, stewardship, and growth across all managed income streams. No two days are the same and we are looking for someone who can be flexible in their approach and able to multitask effectively.

As Fundraising Officer, you will support the overall fundraising target for The Stoll Foundation and provide excellent administrative across the team. You will be working with the Fundraising Manager with mailouts and funder visits and support the wider fundraising team in delivering written appeals to individuals for regular giving and legacy campaigns. In addition to this, you will support colleagues to put-on high-quality fundraising events by providing strong administrative support and acting as first point of contact for event participants and attendees where appropriate. You will support on departmental and Stoll wide meetings, preparing agendas, distributing papers, taking and circulating minutes. You will also ensure that the fundraising database, donor files and other written documents are accurate, kept up to date and regularly reviewed.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• High level organisational skills to handle varying administrative tasks effectively
• An understanding of, and commitment to evidence of working in a fundraising team for at least 6 months
• Highly IT literate, with previous knowledge of donor databases and project management systems
• Demonstrable excellent interpersonal and communication skills

About the Role

You understand the importance of reporting on website and social media performance to understand USPG’s audience and to adjust and improve. You are comfortable working in a small and creative team and are confident speaking to the wider organisation. You can juggle numerous projects and deadlines at one time.  

You will demonstrate considerable cross-cultural awareness and an ability to communicate in a way that is sensitive and appropriate. You demonstrate an aptitude for collaborative teamwork and the ability to work independently on your initiative. It is expected that the postholder will be inspired by the work of USPG and in agreement with its Christian ethos and that they will be comfortable writing in a way which reflects this.
