The role

Contract:  Permanent - ASAP 

Location:  Remote 

Hours:  Full time (Icebreaker One works a four-day week, Mon-Thurs)

Rate:  Circa £35k 

Team

Reporting to the Head of Sales (currently fulfilled by the account management team), collaborating with the Head of Community and Sales & Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator. Work closely with the membership and account management team, programme and project managers. Liaise and collaborate across the business with product, data services and communications. 

Core Responsibilities

• Work with the account management team to identify, target and secure long term government, corporate, and private income from various sources to deliver the team target of £2m

• Support the team in the management of multiple high-level and enterprise client relationships (six-figure contracts) 

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders

  • Attend client meetings and take live notes, record actions and send follow up emails summarising the meeting outcomes and next steps

  • Track the delivery of actions with the account management team

• Execute strategic account development plans that align with client goals and objectives, ensuring long-term success

• Ensure the delivery of ongoing multi-year renewals, retention and client satisfaction

  • Tracking contract deadlines and working with the team to ensure renewals are submitted in good time 

  • Collaboration with Data Services, Membership and Communications teams as required for delivery

• CRM maintenance and updating to track pipeline

• Draft and deliver regular status, updates and reports 

Supporting responsibilities 

• Supporting the identification, connecting and recruitment of a diverse range of experts, members and stakeholders to join and participate in our work

• Attend daily stand ups, standing meetings and participate in regular Show & Tells

• Use insight from close engagement with partners to feed back into and evolve internal processes and documents used to support account management

• Supporting the bid team in identifying and inputting into proposals

• Socialise the Icebreaker One constellation (expert network) among teams within strategic partners

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

Demonstrable experience of

• 3-4 years demonstrable experience in a similar role

• Excellent communication and writing skills

• Excellent organisational and analytical skills 

• A proven track record of maintaining clear and ongoing communication with clients, and converting client relationships into contract renewals and new business. 

• A highly collaborative, encouraging approach with the ability to help others understand how to achieve big-picture objectives and goals

• Engaging people one-to-one effectively online and in person

• Ability to summarise findings so that they can be understood by non-experts

• Bringing together groups and individuals and uniting them with a common cause—via a range of face-to-face and virtual events, get-togethers, social media and communication forums

We are looking for a Development Officer to support Portsmouth Cathedral’s fundraising and development activities. This new role, which is grant funded by the Cathedrals Sustainability Fund for 24 months, will work closely with the Head of Development & Fundraising to grow income, improve communication with donors, and help deliver key projects that support the Cathedral’s mission. The role is mostly office based with the team in Cathedral House, Old Portsmouth but allows for flexible working arrangements.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Building Relationships with Donors: Draft thank-you letters, updates, and newsletters. Organize events to engage donors and welcome new supporters. Maintain confidentiality.
• Trusts and Foundation Applications: Research and apply for funding. Track deadlines and submit applications on time. Record outcomes and provide reports.
• Project Support: Assist with key projects like the National Lottery Heritage Fund project. Ensure smooth project execution and maximize funding opportunities.
• Improving Fundraising Operations: Maintain accurate records using the CRM system. Organize fundraising events and meetings.

The Interim Director of Development (Maternity Cover) will provide strategic leadership and day-to-day management of all fundraising and development activities at the MCC Foundation during a period of parental leave. This role ensures continuity of fundraising operations, oversees a small team, and supports the Foundation's ongoing donor engagement and income generation priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and continuity for the Foundation’s fundraising team, supporting colleagues to maintain momentum and ensuring ongoing delivery of the development strategy.

• Guide and support the team in managing a robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring clear solicitation plans and donor journeys are in place to meet agreed financial targets.
• Lead and oversee the Foundation’s Trusts and Foundations fundraising activity, providing guidance on prospecting, proposal development, and reporting, while supporting the team to deliver high-quality applications and steward existing relationships.
• Oversee and support the team’s planning and delivery of fundraising events, including donor cultivation and stewardship events, ensuring they are delivered to a high standard.

What does this mean day to day?

• You’ll spend time listening to what’s emerging in communities, building trust with partners, and making sense of how insight, decisions, and action travel across the system.

We are a grant-making charity, using the power of Wembley Stadium to inspire, strengthen and connect communities through sport, movement, and the performing arts. Funded through income generated on event days, we aim to break down barriers to access by distributing funds to charities locally and nationally.

 Purpose of the Role

The Business Support Executive will provide vital administrative and operational support to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the Wembley Stadium Foundation (WSF). Working closely with the wider team, you will lead on diary coordination, meeting minutes, board logistics, and internal systems as well as supporting with events and grants administration — helping keep the charity well-organised and high-performing.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative & Executive Support

• Provide administrative support to the Executive Team, including coordinating internal and external meetings.
• Support the creation, proofreading, and formatting of key documents.
• Organise and maintain shared filing systems (e.g. SharePoint, Teams).
• Assist with financial administration, including supporting payroll, processing expenses, and maintaining accurate records of payments and invoices.

Board and Governance Logistics

• Schedule and coordinate Board and committee meetings.
• Prepare and circulate Board papers and meeting minutes and assist with tracking actions and deadlines from board meetings.
• Maintain up-to-date trustee contact records.

 Grants and Events Support

• Support administration and logistics for events hosted by the foundation, including key strategic and community events at the stadium.

The programme 

The mandate of the Knowledge, Learning and Communications (KLC) programme is to capture, distil and share knowledge and learning to strengthen Foundation’s impact and effectiveness. The programme brings together a range of functions critical to the Foundation’s identity, coherence and visibility including the facility to learn internally; management of information and infrastructure; leadership of the Foundation’s monitoring and evaluation work; and all aspects of our communications and outreach including reporting.  

The role 

The Programme Officer (PO) will support the effective delivery of the Foundation’s Knowledge, Learning and Communications (KLC) workplan. Working under the supervision of the KLC Programme Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the Foundation’s websites; planning and creating content for our online channels that communicates meaningful results and tells the Foundation’s story in as engaging way as possible; event coordination, facilitation and promotion; support for media relations; support for annual reporting and results monitoring; and support to Foundation staff in the optimal use of communications tools and IT. 

Key tasks and responsibilities 

The postholder will undertake the following key tasks: 

• Actively promote the values and aims of the Commonwealth 

• Monitor and engage with sector news, trends and discussions 

• Plan and create content for all social media channels, monitoring and reporting on social media reach and digital metrics

• Manage content for the Foundation’s websites and work with web developers to develop functionality and meet evolving needs 

• Play a leading role in event coordination and promotion 

• Work collaboratively with the other Foundation programmes, identifying opportunities to maximise synergies towards the Foundation’s vision and mission 

• Guide staff in the effective use of information technology including platforms such as Zoom Webinars and databases like Airtable  

• Generate writing and other media that captures ideas and best practice from one area of our work and communicates it effectively with a wider audience 

• Coordinate and support data collection and monitoring results against our strategy  

• Prepare copy and content for briefing notes, reports and presentations  

• Guide and support staff in their communications 

The individual 

We seek an individual with demonstrated experience in communications gained within a comparable field, especially of social media and online marketing, along with experience of using website content management systems.  The ideal candidate will also have experience using the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and have a good understanding of Microsoft tools and webinar/virtual meeting platforms. They will have strong writing skills and experience in storytelling and reporting, along with an ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders. They should have an awareness of ensuring brand and style guidelines are reflected across communication activities and be comfortable acting as a first point of contact for media enquiries as well as liaising with colleagues and external suppliers.

Salary expectations:  £32,076 - £35,605 per annum

Main Duties and Responsibilities

SALES AND PROFITS

• Achieve agreed sales targets and maximise profit through effective cost control
• Ensure that a standard of excellence is maintained at all times with regard to customer service and supporter care.
• To be responsible for the daily banking of shop takings and the production of accurate financial reports on sales and all corresponding documentation.
• Effectively analyse shop financial data to take the appropriate action.

STOCK MANAGEMENT AND STANDARDS

• Generate quality donated goods to achieve the agreed processing targets in order to maintain shop density levels, whilst complying with pricing guidelines.
• To ensure that the shop remains open to the public selling donated goods between the hours of 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Saturday.
• To recruit the necessary staff required to efficiently run the charity shop making full use of volunteer assistance.
• Ensure that effective processing systems are in place within the stockroom to support the needs of the sales floor.
• To provide day-to-day direction to the Assistant Shop Manager and volunteers, as necessary, supervising and coaching, making recommendation for any training and development.
• To produce a weekly work rota ensuring that the shop is fully staffed during the opening hours, arranging cover for holidays and sickness.
