Job Title: Night Support Coach
Location: Bermondsey, Close to Surrey Quays station. (This location is hidden due to the sensitive nature of the service) Please note that this service has step free and lift access.
Salary: £27,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota varying between 20:00 - 09:30 which includes 12.5 hour shifts with 1 hour unpaid break, approximately 3 shifts per week. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements including weekends and bank holidays so flexibility will be required.
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our new Independent Approved Premises (IAP) covering the night shift on a rolling rota. You will play a key role in helping residents who have recently left prison settle into our residential setting and take positive steps toward reintegrating into the community. You will work closely with residents to create tailored support plans that reflect their individual needs and help them move toward successful rehabilitation. By identifying each resident’s needs, goals and skills, you will support and motivate them to achieve their potential. The service is committed to focus on public protection and effective risk management.
Some Key Responsibilities Include:
- Protecting and promoting the safety and wellbeing of residents and participants at all times.
- Engaging with residents throughout the night to ensure they are meeting their license conditions. This includes planning activities such as movie nights, game nights, and other suitable events to keep them involved and motivated.
- Be a valued and reliable member of the team on the night shift, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service
- Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins
- Focusing on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals
About You
We are seeking someone with a genuine passion for making a difference and helping to create safer communities for everyone. You will be comfortable working within the criminal justice setting, and supporting residents to have access to the tools and resources to better enhance their quality of life after their release from prison. You will have insight into criminal justice settings and the ability to connect with people from varied backgrounds who face multiple and complex challenges. We look for adaptability, proactiveness, and confidence within your own skillset and ability to drive meaningful impact. We also look for:
- Understanding the housing and social challenges faced by people with multiple and complex needs.
- Cultural awareness, Self-awareness, and ability to identify personal growth areas and take feedback
- Ability to use IT systems to record case notes, email relevant people, and use other software required within the role
- Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
- Understanding and/or practical application of key legislation regarding social care, housing, criminal justice and complex needs

Following an organisational review, EMMS is creating a new Director of Fundraising role, separating fundraising and communications into two Director posts. EMMS is financially stable with healthy reserves, currently raising around £400,000 per year in fundraised income, plus a significant time-limited major donor gift ending in 2028.
The Director of Fundraising will:

Lead the development of a diverse, sustainable fundraising strategy across multiple income streams (trusts and foundations, major donors, individual giving, community, corporates, legacies).

Be hands-on in delivering this strategy, supported by an experienced Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy and a Stewardship Manager.

Manage and grow relationships with donors and stakeholders, meeting ambitious income targets.

Oversee budgets, forecasting and reporting, and contribute to organisational strategic and business planning.

Line manage fundraising staff, setting objectives/KPIs and supporting their development.

Sit on the Executive Leadership Team and play a proactive role in the wider management and development of the charity, including reporting to the CEO and attending some Board meetings.
What they’re looking for:
An experienced senior fundraiser with a strong track record of strategic income growth across multiple channels, excellent relationship-building skills, strong leadership and team management experience, and knowledge of the Scottish charity and fundraising landscape. You should be confident operating strategically and operationally, familiar with fundraising regulation and good practice, and able to communicate effectively with both Christian and secular audiences in line with EMMS’ faith-based heritage and health mission. Degree-level education or equivalent experience is required; membership of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising (or willingness to join) is expected.

About the role:
As a Team Leader you will be:
- Ensuring the effective delivery of services to victims in accordance with the London Adult Service against contract specifications, operating procedures, confidentiality, information sharing and safeguarding policies.

Role summary
The Fundraising Assistant role is a vital role for Edward’s Trust’s Fundraising Team. You will be assisting with all areas of Fundraising from being the first point of call for supporters and volunteers, to support them with fundraising activities, ensuring they are thanked, and communications are personal and timely. You will be involved in planning and assisting with the fundraising activity across the team and will have responsibility for keeping our database and records up to date and ensuring we are compliant.

Key tasks and responsibilities
- Be the first point of contact for supporters, requests and queries relating to fundraising.
- Maintain accurate records of fundraising activity and income and be able to report on basic fundraising activity and income, including following financial procedures such as scanning and banking of cheques, timely preparation of thank you letters and updating of the fundraising database and planning and evaluation documents.
- Maintain the fundraising database, Donorflex, and any other planning documents through accurate data input and compliance with data processing regulations.

- Create materials such as posters, tickets, signs, social media posts and campaign emails to promote fundraising activities as required
- Be responsible for managing, ordering, updating and keeping track of all fundraising merchandise, leaflets and other equipment for fundraising purposes.
- Assist in the running and planning of fundraising campaigns and activities as required.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally
- Provide excellent supporter care to all supporters including service users
- Present supporters with further fundraising opportunities where appropriate
- Assist in identifying potential new supporters such as corporate partners and sponsors.
- Work closely with other members of the Fundraising team to ensure the department’s objectives are fulfilled.

The Role
We are currently looking for a Retail Van Driver to join our Retail, Services and Operations team.
Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be part of the team responsible for ensuring the efficient running of the donation centre and warehouse. The primary focus of this role is to deliver stock to our retail shops across Yorkshire in a timely manner. However, at busy times you will also be required to assist with general maintenance tasks and supporting with the removal of general waste through the appropriate channels whilst working in compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and our Driving for Work policy.
Specifically, you will:

Carry out deliveries of donated stock to shops ensuring that the shops receive the stock that they have requested from the Donation Centre.

Complete collections of furniture and goods across Yorkshire, including the disposal of waste materials, as directed.

Assist with the moving of furniture and other goods between shops and the Donation Centre. There will also be a requirement to collect goods from donors.

Be responsible for day-to-day vehicle maintenance, including completion of the weekly vehicle maintenance checklist and daily visual checks.

Ensure charity vehicles are left secure, clean and presentable at the end of the day and ensure any vehicle defects and damage promptly are reported in accordance with charity procedures.

Be an ambassador for the charity whilst driving branded vehicles, ensuring that you drive carefully and mindfully of other road users.

Create a positive, professional, warm welcome for all visitors.

Seek opportunities to actively engage with visitors to enhance their visit and further promote the profile of the charity.

Be responsible for conducting an initial assessment of the quality of goods collected, including furniture which will include declining donations that are unsuitable for sale and may contravene the Sales of Goods Act 1979.

Promptly report any accidents, incidents or unsafe occurrences to the Facilities Manager via the charity reporting procedure.

They oversee key survivor engagement programmes, including the Ambassadors for Change advocacy and leadership programme, the Client Voices Forum, the Board Advisers, and the Alumni Network.
