About the role:

As Courses Team Leader, you will be working closely with our Courses Coordinators and the wider team to oversee the ongoing development and delivery of this key part of Back Up’s services.You will be need to be creative, well organised and be a supportive line manager with supervisory experience. Most important though is your commitment to supporting those affected by spinal cord injury to thrive.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an Apprenticeship and Learner Management System Administrator to join the apprenticeship provision within the Harris Federation Central Team.

You will play a vital role in supporting the delivery and growth of our apprenticeship programmes. You’ll manage and maintain our Learning Management System, ensure accurate learner data, and provide essential support to both learners and stakeholders - helping to drive talent development and learning across our network of academies.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Reporting to the Apprenticeship Manager you will be responsible for: 

Learner Management System (LMS) 

• Maintaining apprenticeship records, including the Apprenticeship Tracking system, producing reports to monitor enrolment, completion rates, and the usage of the apprenticeship Levy 
• Act as the primary administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting on a daily basis
• Managing and actively updating EOSONE learning platform to ensure all the learner portfolios are up to date and are accurate including off the job learning
• Supporting with the on boarding of learners on the Harris Federation main provider provision and the completion of relevant enrolment documentation, procedures, and guidance 

Learner Support 

• Supporting Harris Federation as an apprenticeship training provider ensuring all data held on our apprentices both internal and external remains accurate and up to date

The Chartered College of Teaching is currently working on a number of exciting projects and therefore has multiple fixed term roles available to support our project work and business as usual.

By joining our team as an Learning Design and Assessment Manager, you’ll be helping us to support teachers, champion great teaching and raise the status of the profession by supporting teacher professional learning and accreditation. As Learning Design and Assessment Manager you will play a key role in developing curriculum and content for our online courses, drawing on your experience and knowledge of teaching and learning to provide a coherent learning experience, ensuring that all content is of a very high quality and informed by the latest research and evidence. You will also support our accreditation function, designing assessments and supporting internal assessment and moderation processes. 

There will be some flexibility in the role, meaning that we can tailor the work you will be involved with to suit your skillset. Working closely with colleagues in our Professional Learning and Accreditation Team, we expect that the Learning Design and Assessment Manager will:

• develop the curriculum and write and commission course content and materials for teachers and school leaders

• engage with education research to ensure the content and delivery of courses is informed by the best available evidence of effective practice
• design and develop assessments to support teacher certification and accreditation
• assess and moderate submissions; contribute to the ongoing development of robust assessment policies and processes
• develop assessment training and guidance for assessors, teachers, schools and delivery partners, as appropriate
• work with schools and organisations to support ongoing engagement in courses and programmes
• develop and implement robust content and delivery plans, overseeing projects and course development activity to ensure that courses are delivered on time, within budget and fulfil project requirements

Teaching Resources at Unifrog

One of the most important parts of Unifrog is a searchable library of hundreds of teaching resources, covering careers guidance, progression, SEL, and PSHE. 

Each week the lessons are used by tens of thousands of teachers in the UK and around the world. 

We aim for our lessons to be plug-and-play, to be truly educational, to make it easy for schools to make the most of the Unifrog platform, and to be fun even when they deal with difficult subjects. We always try to make the learning as active as possible.

In December 2023, we launched our Courses tool. Students can browse and take short online courses in a range of engaging and challenging topic areas, many of which are created in partnership with universities and employers.

We create courses that fit into five main strands:

• ‘Careers in…’ courses introduce students to a career sector and spotlight a few specific roles within the sector, e.g. ‘Careers in art’. 

• University subject tasters give students an idea of what studying a particular university subject is like, e.g. ‘The complicated reality of criminology’.

• Life skills courses help students prepare for life after school/college, e.g. ‘Preparing for the workplace’.

• Virtual work experience courses combine a series of work-based tasks and live webinars with an employer, e.g. ‘Virtual work experience with the BBC’.

• Teacher/counselor courses help staff members in various roles get the most out of the Unifrog platform.

The role and responsibilities

As Teaching Resources Creator, your main focus will be creating and editing teaching resources and courses. Topics will include:

• Careers guidance

• University, college and apprenticeship applications

• PSHE and SEL

• Skills

• Revision 

• Work experience

You will be expected to create lessons and courses to a high standard, which will involve: 

• Researching the topic

• Producing content in line with our teaching and learning standards and Resource Library handbook 

• Responding to feedback from your line manager, from others on the Unifrog team, from employer/HE partners, and from teachers in our partner schools.

What we’re looking for

• Essential: QTS and relevant secondary school teaching experience

You must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a minimum of 3 years teaching experience across at least two key stages from KS3-5.

• Adept at creating exceptional teaching resources 

Above all else, you need to be brilliant at creating teaching resources, and to love doing it. You will have had significant professional experience creating teaching resources, and delivering them to students.

• Creativity

We want you to come up with great ideas for how to teach topics to students in fun ways.

• Quest for feedback

We want to be as close to our users as possible. You’ll be able to seek out feedback from colleagues, teachers, and students.

• Attention to detail

You will have excellent writing and proofreading skills.

• Ability to work in a team

You’ll regularly ask team members for their input; to do this, you need to be an excellent communicator and team player.

Creating hundreds of brilliant teaching materials is a long-term project that requires organisation, discipline, and resilience.

Working together

You’ll work in our existing Teaching Resources team, which consists of experienced teachers and resource creators. You’ll also be in regular contact with the Written Content team, plus people on our marketing, sales, account management, and strategy teams.

In the Teaching Resources team, we commonly brainstorm new ideas as a group, share insights from our own teaching experiences, provide feedback on other team members’ work, and get feedback from teachers and students at our partner schools.

You’ll be managed by the Head of Teaching Resources.

Key details

• £36,000-£38,000 per annum pro rata (Grade B) and a share in a company-wide performance bonus.

We are now recruiting two full-time positions for a Schools Coordinator (Impact Officer) to work as the primary link between partner schools and the CYUK programme.

This youth and education charity empowers diverse 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time volunteering in schools. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, the charities volunteers support children who are furthest away from opportunity in the UK.

The Role

We have a rewarding opportunity for a School Impact Officer to train, support and develop volunteers and monitor the programme through effective administration, data management and to build a deep partnership between the school and the charity.

Quest for Learning is an education charity on a mission to close the gap for primary school children in Oxfordshire who are falling behind - often due to complex and compounding disadvantage. Many of the children we support are growing up in poverty, with limited access to books, low parental literacy, and challenging home environments. Some face health inequalities, live in areas affected by crime, or have recently arrived in the UK as refugees or asylum seekers.

We work closely with schools to provide targeted, high-impact literacy and numeracy programmes that give these children the chance to catch up, thrive, and believe in their potential. On average, our small-group tutoring helps pupils make 13 months of progress in just 10 hours - building not only essential skills, but also confidence, motivation, and a renewed sense of possibility.

The impact extends well beyond the classroom. By supporting children early, we help prevent the need for more complex and costly interventions later in life, from mental health support to exclusion and social care. Our work contributes to stronger, fairer communities by giving every child the foundation they need to participate fully in society. In doing so, we are advancing social sustainability and helping to meet global goals such as the UN Sustainable Development Goals for Quality Education, Reduced Inequalities, and Good Health and Wellbeing.

About the role

We're looking for a dynamic, relationship-focused, and highly organised individual to oversee our teaching programmes, school partnerships, and tutor network.

This role is crucial to ensuring our programmes are high-quality, well-managed, and meeting the needs of schools. You will be the first point of contact for schools, building strong relationships with headteachers and SENCOs, and ensuring that we offer the right support at the right time.

You will manage our team of tutors, ensuring they have the resources, training, and support needed to deliver our programmes to the highest standard. You will also oversee safeguarding and the measurement of programme impact, working closely with the fundraiser to ensure we have strong data for funding applications.

Key responsibilities

School relationships and programme development (account management) 

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with schools and other stakeholders, ensuring our programmes align with their needs.
• Be proactive in identifying opportunities for growth, understanding school funding challenges, and positioning Quest for Learning as a key partner.
• Stay abreast of educational trends, school funding pressures, and local needs, using this market intelligence to shape programme delivery and ensure our offer remains relevant, impactful, and responsive to the challenges schools and pupils face.
• Support marketing efforts by sharing impact stories, case studies, and insights from schools.
• Support and develop approaches that foster meaningful engagement with parents and carers, helping them to feel confident and involved in their child’s learning journey.
• Maintain a strong understanding of school funding arrangements (e.g. National Funding Formula, Pupil Premium, EHCP funding), using this knowledge to position our programmes effectively and align with school priorities.

Tutor management and quality assurance

• Manage the tutor team, ensuring high standards of teaching and professionalism.
• Oversee tutor recruitment, training in programmes, and performance management.
• Ensure tutors are properly equipped with resources and training to deliver high-quality sessions and further relationships in schools.
• Provide pedagogical guidance and support to tutors where needed, drawing on strong educational knowledge to help resolve teaching queries or challenges.
• Actively develop the tutor pool, ensuring we have the right expertise and capacity across Oxfordshire.

Programme coordination and delivery

• Oversee the scheduling and logistics of our tutoring programmes, ensuring smooth delivery and efficient coordination of tutors and bookings.
• Ensure end-of-programme reporting is completed by tutors and shared with schools and other necessary stakeholders.

Safeguarding (Designated Safeguarding Lead - DSL)

• Act as the DSL for Quest for Learning (once trained) with support from the Chief Executive as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring all safeguarding policies and processes are followed.
• Train tutors in best safeguarding practices and ensure incidents are properly reported and recorded.
• Liaise with schools and external agencies where necessary. 

Impact measurement & fundraising support

• Ensure a strong framework of assessment and impact measurement for pupils and our programmes.
• Analyse and collate data on programme effectiveness, reporting to the team.
• Work with the fundraiser to provide teaching-related content for funding bids and reports.

Person specification

Essential:

• Strong experience in account management, partnerships, or relationship management (preferably in education or the charity sector).
• Experience working in education or service delivery (e.g. as a teacher, tutor, or programme manager).
• Strong pedagogical knowledge and the ability to support tutors with teaching-related queries.
• Excellent people skills, able to build relationships with schools, tutors, and funders.
• Highly organised and proactive, with strong project management skills.
• Strong ability to problem-solve, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of safeguarding in education (or willingness to train as a DSL).
• Ability to gather and analyse data to measure impact. 

Desirable:

• Good understanding of school funding streams and financial pressures in the primary sector, including national funding formulas, pupil premium, and SEND-related funding (e.g. EHCPs).
• Experience managing a team (e.g. teachers, tutors, or volunteers).
• Experience in developing education programmes or training.
• Familiarity with funding applications and impact reporting.
• Knowledge of the Oxfordshire school landscape.
