ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor to join our central HR team. You’ll support a group of academies, providing expert guidance on HR policies, employee relations and workforce initiatives, while contributing to projects that shape the future of education.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of a generalist HR advisory service to the Federation and our Academies, providing up to date and informed HR guidance and support on HR policies, processes and systems
- Providing professional advice and support to Federation and Academy leaders in all areas of HR practice and employee relations such as grievance, disciplinary, performance management and sickness absence management, escalating complex cases as appropriate to the Head of HR and HR Business Partners
- Supporting the HR Business Partner with organisation change programmes including redundancy, restructuring and TUPE transfers; preparing documents, supporting planning, due diligence completion etc.
- Participating in the development and delivery of HR policy skills workshops for line managers and academy HR
- Assisting with end-to-end employee lifecycle and payroll processes
- Preparing HR documents and create and maintain templates
- Producing management information reports
- Evaluating job descriptions and providing advice and guidance on salary bandings to ensure a consistent and fair approach
- Assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Experience providing generalist HR advice on terms & conditions, application of policies and first line employee relations
- Up-to-date knowledge of employment law & current HR practice
- Qualifications to degree level, or equivalent experience
- At least part qualification to CIPD Level 5 or equivalent by experience with a willingness to study
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Your job responsibilities will include:
Apprentice Lifecycle Management
- Onboarding & Induction: Co-ordinate the smooth induction of all new apprentices, ensuring they receive necessary documentation, program details, and are integrated into their respective teams.
- Administration: Maintain and quality assure all apprentice records, training agreements, and learning plans, in accordance with the apprenticeship funding rules.
- Compliance: Monitor and track apprentice progress against milestones, funding requirements, and End-Point Assessment (EPA) readiness, ensuring all programs comply with DfE, Ofsted, and Awarding Body regulations.
- Off-the-Job Training: Monitor and track the accurate recording of Off-the-Job training hours for all apprentices.
Stakeholder Engagement & Support
- Apprentice Support: Act as the first point of contact for apprentices, offering guidance, support, and signposting to relevant resources regarding their well-being, training, and workplace issues.
- Liaison: Build and maintain effective working relationships with Employers, internal line managers, and mentors to ensure consistent program delivery and feedback.
- Meetings: Ensure that all progress review meetings are being held and attended to, ensuring that outcomes are documented and follow up on agreed actions.

We are a women-led charity offering a bold, innovative response to the needs of women in London who face multiple disadvantage, including gender-based violence. We use baking as a tool to guide women on a journey towards empowerment, employability and independence.

We’re looking for a professional baker with experience teaching cake, bread, and pastry classes to join our team. The role will involve teaching two cohorts of 7 trainees each week, facilitating their learning in baking, food hygiene standards, and professionalism for the working world as part of Luminary’s Employability and Independence Programme.
The programme sets high standards of professionalism and expectation alongside holistic support in a trauma-informed environment. It is essential that you are personable, approachable and able to adapt your teaching style to each individual's needs. We are looking for someone who shares our vision of supporting women, and experience working with this demographic is helpful.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Teaching
● Teaching the baking and food hygiene elements of the Luminary training curriculum to a high standard
● Taking responsibility for trainee learning and skill development – in collaboration with the Training Coordinator and Teaching Assistant
● Managing expectations, behaviour and dynamics of the training cohort in a trauma- informed way.
● Maintaining a professional & focused learning environment at all times, with an end goal of employability
● Facilitating community amongst women on the programme, investing in each woman as a whole individual and supporting them to build confidence
● Running interventions for women who are struggling in the group or with the learning
● Tracking & documenting trainee progress in order to evaluate services and support fundraising proposals
● Delegating appropriate jobs to the Teaching Assistant and upskilling them to cover teaching sessions when needed
● Responsible for facilitating the learning of Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene course and supporting trainees to complete their online qualification
● Keeping the training kitchen clean to a professional standard and having high
expectations of cleanliness and food hygiene practices from the trainees to prepare
them for a real working environment
● Ensuring a trauma-informed approach to training and championing our trainees at all times.
Programme and Training Management
● Liaising with the second Baking Teacher to coordinate and arrange external masterclass teachers and extra curricular opportunities
● Coordinating with the second Baking Teacher to ensure that all baking ingredients, lunch and equipment are ordered for the week according to the set budget
● Ensuring all recipes are documented according to set guidelines
● Responsible for ensuring Health & Safety standards are followed at all times within the training kitchen
● Following & implementing Luminary Safeguarding Procedures
● Working closely with the Training and Progression Support Team to ensure targets are met, and implementing reflective practice to ensure trainees are receiving the best support and opportunities possible
Other
● Taking part in the appropriate training for the role as suggested by your line manager
● Supporting with coordinating Bake Along sessions for corporate and private clients to raise money for Luminary Ltd
● Support with graduation events (one evening once or twice per year)
● Fulfilling any appropriate roles assigned by your line manager, for example: assisting with trainee recruitment, monitoring and evaluation, and speaking publicly to raise awareness and secure funding.

● Highly skilled professional baker competent in bread, pastry and cakes

About the Job
Sophie Hayes Foundation (SHF) is a small but mighty charity, empowering women survivors of modern slavery and exploitation. It is an important time at SHF. Our new strategy ‘Sustainable Freedom from Modern Slavery’ launched in 2024 and this role is essential for the delivery of the strategy and ensuring that survivors of modern slavery, human trafficking, and exploitation have access to the support and opportunities they need to achieve their aspirations, independence and a positive future. With soaring numbers of referral to the NRM and thousands more victims living in fear of a hostile environment, this has never been more important than now.
At the heart of Sophie Hayes Foundation’s work will be the support to and empowerment of survivors of modern slavery and human trafficking and this role is critical to survivors’ journeys to sustainable freedom. We are increasingly aware of the precarity faced by survivors, especially during transitions moving on from support and at points of decision making from the NRM or Home Office.
Alongside a small, friendly and dedicated team, you will build pathways of support for a range of participants who are supported by SHF through connecting them to other community organisations. Your role will include assisting them to access safe accommodation, community support, mental health support and access to finances.
You will champion the voices of survivors through the work of the organisation, working with colleagues in CREW, our survivor network, to provide continued support to survivors’ long term.
About the Role
- Conducting initial welcome calls to participants to assess their needs and desired pathway into SHF
- Host Monthly 121 Check-ins with participants who don’t have support workers and during those sessions signpost to long-term support to widen their community support. Writing support letters when needed
- Actively engage with local, regional, and national partners and anti-slavery networks to build and maintain partnerships for survivor referral pathways to other organisations
- Work alongside the CREW Co-ordinator to run events which foster connection within our CREW network, such as a monthly coffee morning
- Support in the facilitation of in-person sessions whether CREW or part of the Programme delivery.
- Support in the facilitation of Programmes and CREW events
- Ensure highest levels of Safeguarding, compiling safety plans for participants and carrying out risk assessments where necessary.
- Accurate data input to and management of internal monitoring and finance systems, working closely with the Head of Programmes to analyse trends and contribute to reporting.
- Contribute to centring survivor perspectives in the work of Sophie Hayes Foundation by sharing and channelling learning from programme delivery to colleagues.
- Other duties which may arise under the implementation of the new strategy, as directed by the Head of Employability Programme.

Job Description
This role is central to positioning CSC as the leading small-to-medium-sized science
centre and STEM engagement organisation in the UK. Working with the CEO and

About the opportunity
We're in a fantastic position to have recently have partnered with the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF) for an evaluation of our programmes.
We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Manchester.
- The Manchester Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. About the Early Years Assistant role
We are seeking enthusiastic bank staff to provide flexible cover for staff absences at our vibrant 59-place nursery, located in the Coin Street neighbourhood centre on London’s South Bank, just minutes from Waterloo and Blackfriars stations. As part of a dedicated team of educators supported by two experienced senior teachers, you will help ensure the smooth running of the nursery by assisting with mealtimes, activities, general care, and safeguarding the welfare of children. Our nursery is part of a wider Family and Children’s Centre, which offers holiday play schemes, activity camps, and a creche facility to support parents in training and development. Role Summary
