Duties and key responsibilities:
Office Maintenance
- Oversee the general maintenance of the office.
- Manage office supplies by tracking office inventory and replenishing supplies including kitchen and stationery.
- Ensure the office and meeting rooms are well-maintained.
- Manage Sarcoma UK storage, ensuring it is fit for purpose.
- Liaise with office contractors and service providers to ensure the office runs efficiently.
- Assist with office refurbishments, expansions, and relocations.
Administration
- Be the first point of contact for all enquiries to our telephone switchboard and info@ mailbox, responding in a timely manner to all enquiries and delegating across the team where relevant.
- Manage the daily postal system including opening post and recording donations on the finance spreadsheet.
- Managing deliveries to the office and organising couriers.
- Organise travel and accommodation bookings across the whole charity including fundraising events.
- Organise travel, meetings and staff attendance at events including the British Sarcoma Group conference.
- Make any bookings and arrangements for the team that involve financial transactions, for example booking travel, conferences, training courses, flowers for supporters and event purchases.
- Provide meeting room management, including bookings and catering.
- Carry out ad hoc administrative tasks for other departments when requested e.g. fundraising and information send outs during busy periods or absence.
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, maintaining a safe working environment in the office. This
- Regular health and safety inspections of the office and workstations.

- Arranging regular PAT tests
- Cary out fire risk assessments (training will be provided)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to join our Education Team. This role will require the successful candidate to support an integrated and holistic approach to education, health and care, work under the direct supervision of an allocated teacher / senior specialist teaching assistant, support access to learning and provide general support to the teacher in the management of pupils in learning opportunities and to assist the teacher in providing relevant support for pupils with severe learning difficulties (SLD), profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex therapeutic, medical and health needs.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant
- To support learning activities for individual, groups or whole classes of pupils, leading activities under the direction of the teacher or Senior Teaching Assistant supporting the teacher in their delivery of lessons.
- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.
- Holistically integrate education, health and care needs.
- Evaluate and record procedures for learning activities.

- Undertake annual safeguarding training.
- Adhere to the school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection procedures and policies. Recording incidents pertaining to pupil safety, including for illness, accidents and incidents, accepting that Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that ‘it could happen here’.
- Read relevant documentation / mandatory reads in relation to Keeping Children Safe In Education.
- Report any signs and indicators of possible abuse, being sensitive to the child/young person and circumstances, Identifying, report and record changes in behaviour and physical signs.

The Hammersmith and Fulham Rough Sleepers Assessment Hub oversees 20 beds in a 54 bed building located close to Earls Court station. The Hammersmith and Fulham outreach team can bring clients as a safe alternative to rough sleeping. At the Hub, clients will receive a thorough assessment of their needs and be supported with an offer of suitable accommodation to move into.
As a Duty Worker, you will:
- Be part of a busy team environment working closely with those new to, or at risk of rough sleeping.
- Be involved in running tailored client involvement activities such as coffee mornings and art clubs.
- Build and maintain effective relationships to support clients throughout their recovery.

Role Purpose
Southwark Cathedral has been a place of Christian worship for over 1400 years. Now it stands on the vibrant and exciting regenerated south bank of the Thames surrounded by cultural venues such as Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe and Borough Market, the offices of major companies as well as schools and diverse residential communities. This is a key role at Southwark Cathedral supporting the Dean. This secretarial role will primarily feature management of a busy personal diary, correspondence and broader administrative support for the Dean in his capacity as Dean of Southwark, Chair of Chapter and CEO of the Cathedral.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination, preparation, planning and follow up for the Dean’s briefing for and attendance at meetings associated with the governance of the Cathedral including Chapter, Finance Committee, Audit & Risk Committee, Nominations Committee, Fabric Advisory Committee and Board of Enterprises. This will include research and assisting in the drafting and review of papers for such meetings, but minute taking will not usually be required (but may be requested from time to time in liaison with members of staff usually responsible for the minutes);
- Support the Dean in all their working relationships including building and maintaining excellent relationships with Chapter Members and Committee Members, the Bishop’s staff and with the wider Diocese, as well as with neighbours, commercial partners, professional advisers and other third-party organisations relating to the Dean’s work;
- Prepare the Dean’s weekly diary file, including the preparation of any meeting papers or briefs for the week ahead;

Terms and Conditions
Working Hours
The working hours shall be 21 hours per week (exclusive of meal breaks), usually over three days. Some out of hours working will be required to support meetings and events and this will be notified in advance. Time off in lieu will be awarded in line with Southwark Cathedral’s policy.
Annual Leave
20.5 days per annum including statutory bank holidays, with an additional 5 days (pro-rata) after 10 years’ service.
Probation

The Facilities Assistant role:

Big Issue Changing Lives CIC is looking for an Support and Outreach Assistant to support the direct the direct delivery of services to individuals participating in Big Issue enterprises, including selling the Big Issue magazine. The core of the role is facilitating access for members of our Roma Communities to the Hand Up Service and other local services, resources and networks required to address the barriers they are facing to moving forwards out of poverty. Where local services and resources are not available you will also support the Outreach Team with the delivery of information, guidance and some direct interventions, such as training sessions, directly.
This is self-starter role in which you’ll be responsible for connecting with potential service users within the Roma community, introducing the service to them, sharing information from our Hand Up plus services and supporting them to engage with the core Hand Up service. You’ll be working within a small team of Outreach workers and will work to maintain a set of Service Standards which help maintain the quality of the service nationally.
The role is highly flexible and no two days are the same. You’ll bring your own experience and knowledge to the role, as well as your ability to speak Romanian. We will support you to build on that through an ongoing training and development programme which aims to ensure all Hand Up Service Team members have up to date, relevant, knowledge in key areas including housing, benefits, debt, immigration and more. In the course of a day, you’ll usually be working with service users across multiple of these issues and supporting engagement with a wide range of external agencies such as health services, local authorities, charities and more, to get access to services for those you are supporting.
Your main roles and responsibilities will be:
- Undertake phone and in person outreach to introduce the Hand Up service to Roma Big Issues vendors
- Delivery of direct intervention to Roma vendors using guidance and resources provided
- Join meetings with Roma Vendors and Outreach Workers to support with action planning and provision of support and guidance
- Support with translation and interpretation within your local team to enable accessibility of the service for Roma vendors
- Support the local Hand Up Service to build current knowledge of local and national agencies that can support Roma vendors
