Job Title: Service Manager 

Location: This role is based in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), the service is a short walk from Ladbroke Grove (Circle and Hammersmith) station. Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.

Salary: £38,700

Shift Pattern: 12 month fixed term contract, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00. Onsite face to face service, with flexibility around these hours required as per resident and service requirements. All managers, including this position will take part in the out of hours on call duty. 

About the Role

We're looking for a Service Manager to join our team based in RBKC. You will manage multiple dispersed services within the area. In this role, you will support your team to deliver person centred care and support to residents who face multiple and complex needs which includes mental health challenges, substance use challenges, and homelessness. You will be a natural leader, able to support a team with your knowledge and experience to provide the best support to the residents, through empowerment and upskilling. 

You will support them to deliver a seamless and supportive service which enables residents to overcome personal challenges and to achieve their goals. We're looking for someone who is solution focused, has a passion for the resident group we support, and driven to make a lasting change to lives. This is a 12 month fixed term contract with the view that it may be extended into a permanent position in the future.

You’ll be working with the local church to manage the delivery of Resurgo's award-winning Spear Programme. In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.

Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Church Partnerships Managers with overall team training and development.

Our newly created role of Director of Technology will join our Senior Leadership Team, and will be responsible for our technology strategy. In this role, you'll work closely with the Senior Manager Prospect Research and Head of Relationship Development. You'll use your experience in proposition development to shape strategic direction and shape and plan core activities for delivery.

Being an effective communicator, you'll build strong relationships across RNIB, translating our strategic plans into compelling propositions about core work and exciting new opportunities for income generation.

The Head of Policy and Advocacy will lead the strategic development and delivery of MCF’s policy, advocacy and research agenda. The postholder will engage proactively with central and local government, devolved authorities, and regional mayors, ensuring that the voices and experiences of Muslim-led organisations are represented in policy development and decision-making. 

They will work collaboratively with MCF’s Communications, Partnerships, and Systemic Change and Sector Capacity teams to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach that delivers sustainable, long-term impact. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Strategy and Leadership 

• Develop and deliver the next three-year Policy and Advocacy Strategy aligned with MCF’s organisational objectives. 

• Provide strategic advice to the CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Board on policy opportunities and risks. 

• Lead and develop the Policy and Advocacy team, fostering a high-performing, inclusive and collaborative culture. 

2. Policy, Research and Insight 

• Monitor and analyse UK policy and regulatory developments affecting Muslim-led civil society. 

• Oversee research, consultations and data-driven insight to inform MCF’s policy positions.

3. Influencing and Stakeholder Engagement

Essential Criteria 

• Significant experience (5+ years) in senior policy, advocacy or influencing roles within the UK charity or voluntary sector.

• Strong understanding of the UK charity policy, funding and regulatory environment. 

• Knowledge of the UK Muslim-led and/or faith-based civil society landscape.

Interim Senior Management Accountant
3-month assignment • 3 days per week • Start: Early January
Hybrid / London-based with flexibility

A national not-for-profit organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Management Accountant to support the Finance team during a period of high activity and organisational change. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, analytical and hands-on finance professional who can quickly add value in a mission-driven environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial planning, delivering high-quality insight to senior leaders, and supporting the development of costing and pricing models as the organisation prepares for an ambitious period of growth.

Key responsibilities
• Lead the preparation of mid-year forecasting, including variance analysis and narrative insight
• Support the development of operational planning tools for the next financial year
• Build and enhance financial models, including costing and pricing analysis
• Produce clear, accurate management reporting for senior leadership
• Provide financial guidance and business partnering to non-finance teams
• Support technical queries including VAT and finance processes
• Contribute to the improvement of financial controls and reporting efficiency

About you
• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA) or equivalent experience
• Strong background in management accounting, forecasting and financial modelling
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly to non-finance colleagues
• Confident working autonomously and bringing structure during periods of change
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
• Available from early January for 3 days a week
