About the role
Sightsavers' content and stories team has responsibility for developing creative concepts and content in response to communications briefs, as well as supporting the organisation with video and editorial services, and sourcing photography, video, audio and written stories from projects across Africa and South Asia. This work generates a huge volume of multimedia digital assets which need to be easily searchable by everyone in the organisation. We've recently moved to a new digital asset management system which requires an ongoing process of training and development.
We are looking for a Digital Asset Manager to be responsible for embedding and maintaining our new digital asset management system (Asset Bank), offering training and support to teams using and uploading assets. You'll work closely with content producers and story collectors to develop workflows preparing and uploading new content and you'll lead their implementation. As digital asset manager you'll inspire staff with available content, finding creative ways to make the organisation aware of the assets the team is producing. You'll need to make strategic decisions and plans for optimising and promoting the system and its contents, but you won't shy away from getting stuck into the day to day of preparing and uploading content.
Key duties will include:
* Ownership of digital asset storage systems with strategic decision making about process, structure and content
* Asset preparation, upload and categorisation - maintaining consistency and quality across systems
* Asset promotion
* System development and maintenance, with a focus on user experience and searchability
* System support and training
* Cross team collaboration and learning
We're looking for an organised individual with great communication skills. You'll need to be able to make strategic decisions and plans for optimising and promoting the system and its contents, but you won't shy away from getting stuck into the day to day of preparing and managing content.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience of developing and managing processes and systems
* Experience of working with digital asset management systems, preferably in an NGO
* Knowledge of Asset Bank highly desirable
* Proven experience of organising a wide array of assets and associated information at a high level, with accuracy and attention to detail and using a structured approach
* Proven understanding of digital image asset workflow and processes
* Proven experience of gathering and implementing user feedback
* Good analytics and reporting skills
* Excellent understanding of consent processes for image use
* Solid knowledge of GDPR
* Good understanding of user experience principles

BACKGROUND
Habitat for Humanity Great Britain (Habitat GB) is part of the global Habitat for Humanity Federation fighting global poverty and homelessness. We believe that a decent home helps to permanently break the cycle of poverty and allows families to achieve strength, stability, and self-reliance.
Purpose of The role
To support Habitat for Humanity GB’s (HFHGB) vision of a decent home for everyone, the Director of Development is accountable for leading the development, implementation and performance monitoring of our partnerships, resource mobilisation, communication, and engagement strategies. The Director of Development is also responsible for leading a high performing team to deliver those strategies, and working collaboratively across HFHGB, the international Habitat network (HFHI), and with external partners.
Key responsibilities include the development of Habitat for Humanity’s positioning, fundraising, engagement and strategic partnerships with individuals, trusts, foundations, and corporates, including funds that are blended with institutional and investment income. Strategies will be delivered in a way that is sustainable and high impact, always aligned with our strategy and Habitat for Humanity’s mission. Externally the role develops the profile and positioning of HFHGB as a creative impact partner in development, bringing in new relationships as well as maintaining existing. Development requires creative idea generation and strong collaboration with the wider HFH network as well as partners in the UK.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Development works to ensure the impact, sustainability, diligence and productivity of the organisation, including engaging in organisational transformation, within the framework of a robust people and culture approach.
Main Responsibilities
1.Strategic development and leadership:
· Design, deliver and evaluate/adapt the partnerships and fundraising strategy, setting ambitious and achievable targets to increase impact, through growing income, mobilising other resources and increasing engagement for HFHGB.
· Design and deliver an impactful, opportunistic and responsive brand and communication extension strategy designed to grow the profile of HFHGB with key target audiences.
· Lead fundraising and partnership development across the organisation, leveraging the skills, networks and assets we have from across HFHGB and the Habitat Network to support our strategic goals.
· Maintain awareness of the relevant trends to inform organisational and team strategic planning. Create and maintain a learning culture which identifies opportunities to innovate and adapt.
· Engage with HFHI and the wider sector to inspire, innovate and influence the development of HFHGB partnerships and pro grammes, e.g. learning from other countries, joint approaches to multi-national and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
· Design, deliver and evaluate/adapt the communications and engagement strategy, focussing on activities which will enable HFHGB to deliver it’s strategy through impactful communication, increased brand, visibility, and cross-audience engagement.
2. Income and budget management, reporting and monitoring:
· Set quality standards and meaningful KPIs to encourage ownership and accountability within your team, and effectively monitor progress towards agreed targets.
· Work with the Director of Impact to oversee the active management of the prospect pipeline for the organisation, ensuring it is robust, strategically aligned, has a good spread across different income sources, and allows us to bring in the level and type of funding required.
· Be accountable for fundraising targets against agreed budgets, maintaining an excellent understanding of income (committed or expected).
· Work closely with the Director of Finance & Operations to track performance, and contribute to high quality reporting, income forecasting and budget management.
3. Leading external partnerships and relationships:
· Lead and model development activities with priority prospects, partners and influencers and work with the team to identify new income streams and opportunities.
· Lead and model productive partnering and relationships with Corporate partners, including the cultivation of new prospects.
· Act as senior relationship lead for prioritised high value relationships in coordination with other members of the team.
· Support relationship building with High-Net-Worth Individuals, Trusts and Foundations.
· Work closely with the Director of Impact and other colleagues to ensure the development of high-quality proposals, propositions and reports which leverage opportunities across institutional and non-institutional prospects and contribute to our credibility as a trusted and impactful organisation.
· Develop the profile and positioning of HFHGB in line with the strategic vision of a creative impact partner, among the public, media and supporters/prospects, through the development of resources, online presence and attendance at key events/networks.
· Ensure integrated stewardship, engagement and relationship development plans and activities for all supporters, and support for renewal and upgrade of engagement.
· Be responsive to external challenges as well as opportunities to raise the profile and impact of HFHGB.
4. Leadership and management:
· Lead a high performing and ambitious team, inspired to implement and grow the partnerships and fundraising strategy and the communication and engagement strategy.
· Manage, motivate and develop members of the team, with regular 1-2-1s, setting individual objectives, giving and receiving feedback, progressing people and plans.
· Develop, lead and focus the Development Team, its budget, activities and performance, to ensure the delivery against funding and impact targets.
· Role model our values in line with HFHGB’s inclusive approach to people and culture.
5. Organisational Leadership
· Support the National Director in leading the organisation to deliver HFHGB’s strategy and vision, acting as a collaborative and supportive member of a shared leadership team.
· As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, provide oversight of organisational priorities, productivity, performance, risk and due diligence.
· Be an active leader across the organisation, collaborating effectively with teams, and contributing fully to organisational wide initiatives and opportunities.
· Co-create ways of working to enable an adaptive, collaborative and high performing organisational team.
· Deputise for the National Director when required and represent HFHGB in national and international meetings and forums
Person Specification
· Expert knowledge of multiple fundraising streams, cultivating and stewarding strategic partnerships and best practice in prospect/business development.
· Proven track record of developing and leading innovative partnership and fundraising strategies which deliver ambitious targets.
· Substantial experience of developing audience-centric communication strategies and knowledge of diverse types of communication channels.

About Social Change Lab
Social Change Lab is a nonprofit conducting and disseminating social movement research to help solve the world’s most pressing problems. Historically, social movements conducting disruptive campaigns seem to have been crucial in driving significant political, social and economic change. Despite this, there has been little research systematically analysing the effectiveness of social movements and the strategies or tactics that most influence the success of these campaigns. Our research addresses this neglected knowledge gap and provides actionable advice to advocates and philanthropists working on a variety of important issues, with a focus on animal advocacy and climate change. About the role
As the Director of Social Change Lab, you would have a high level of responsibility and high impact. You would lead our small team in delivering cutting-edge research on the outcomes and strategies of social movements and ensuring widespread communication of this work to key stakeholders. Chapter One is a dynamic, growing charity with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills needed to thrive. Our mission is to close the reading gap by providing children with one-to-one support at the time they need it most. We work in eleven areas/regions of the UK and will support 3000 children in 2023-24.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme pairs struggling five to seven-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who are working professionals. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
From a school perspective, online reading volunteers provide direct, meaningful literacy support for up to 10 pupils per class. The programme is particularly suitable for communities where it might be challenging to find parents and other volunteers who can commit to physically visiting schools to boost reading.

Job Summary
Chapter One is seeking a West Cumbria Programme Manager who is an excellent communicator and is able to both motivate and support schools and teachers to implement our online reading volunteers programme, and also to ensure that the programme’s impact and benefit to disadvantaged communities is maximised throughout the academic year.
The post is ideal for someone looking for part-time, flexible, term-time only work from a home base and who is able to travel frequently around West Cumbria. The postholder will be joining a team of established Programme Managers (also part-time) who work in different parts of the UK and will need to have some flexibility to work additional hours during busy autumn months, and conversely to work fewer hours during quieter periods of the year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively explain Chapter One’s online reading volunteer programme and its benefits to school leaders and teachers
• Install, setup and maintain Chapter One equipment in participating classrooms
• Fully understand the operation of the Chapter One platform and database and communicate this to others
• Organise and conduct initial teacher training and follow-up
• Ensure a smooth initial launch of Chapter One’s programme in every classroom
• Liaise with colleagues performing technical and volunteer support roles
• Through regular visits to/contact with schools, provide on-going embedded professional learning and support to teachers throughout the year as needed
• Proactively monitor classroom adherence/fidelity to the Chapter One model, including systematic review of data reports and volunteer feedback, taking proactive action to resolve problems that arise
• Analyse and manipulate data (largely in Google sheets) to produce reports and identify trends
• Create monthly data summaries for all participating classrooms
• Lead annual review meetings for senior leadership at participating schools
• Support programme monitoring, evaluation and research as required

East Prevention Officer- National Prevention Programme
The Children's Society are excited to be recruiting for a Eastern Prevention Officer to lead the Prevention Programme's work in this region and contribute to our national work across England and Wales. Our Prevention Officers work to develop new and innovative approaches to preventing and responding to child exploitation and abuse.
This is a permanent position with funding until the 31st March 2025.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with an interest in systems change and partnership working to improve the lives of exploited and abused children nationwide. This is a unique opportunity to influence both practice on the ground and at strategic levels.
37 hours per week
£29,155.68 per annum (DN grade)
The location for the role is flexible within the UK. The successful candidate will be home-based with opportunities to work at a nearby Children's Society office if and when appropriate.
While this role specifically covers the East of England, it is not a requirement that the person must be based there (though it is preferable), but must be willing to undertake travel to the region when required.
The Prevention Programme
The Prevention Programme is currently in its fifth year as a key part of The Children's Society's national programme team. Funded by the Home Office, we work in close partnership with organisations across the public, private and third sectors to achieve our goal of preventing Child Exploitation and Abuse, Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking across England and Wales.
The Prevention Programme is an exciting, fast-paced programme which drives change and innovative practice in the prevention of child exploitation and abuse at a local, regional and national level.
In 2020 the Programme won the Children and Young People Now partnership award and we were finalists for the safeguarding award in 2022. These awards are the gold standard for everyone working with children, young people and families, and provides recognition of the achievement of services across the third sector.
We're looking for a highly motivated individual, with a good understanding of working with children and young people and strong partnership working and communication skills. These role will involve a mixture of, facilitation, training delivery, convening, resource creation and the coordination of multi-agency working groups to achieve long lasting change across different sectors and geographical areas.
Police officers are asking different questions, there's been arrests following the work, victims are getting extra support and being identified at different points. They said that was directly as a result of the work with The Children's Society.' Local Authority Stakeholder, East Midlands

As Marketing Executive in the Marketing & Communications team, you will support our marketing activity to help grow our brand, our supporter base and increase engagement with individuals and businesses within the automotive industry. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with colleagues to deliver the best possible results for digital communications delivered via content on our website, social channels and email to support the delivery of Ben’s overall Health & Wellbeing content strategy.
- Develop our social media channels to grow audiences and increase engagement with the people we support, and who support Ben
- Produce high-quality content that key audiences will find interesting and useful and meets strategic objectives
- Support to develop a programme of regular content for social channels, email and website and maintaining and updating calendars as appropriate
- Work with the Digital Marketing and Engagement Manager to plan and deliver the Health & Wellbeing calendar of awareness content and engagement
- Plan and deliver all digital communications in line with the overall campaign/content planners and internal processes are managed effectively
- Plan, create and develop content which is tailored to audience personas
- Work with colleagues to develop content that is relevant for our audiences and is channel and brand appropriate
- Manage end to end email process – from creating emails, automations, using correct data & segments to sending & then evaluating campaigns
- Use a test and learn approach in order to learn from user behaviour and to ensure Ben leverages digital communications channels to reach and engage target audiences
- Support online advertising (social, retargeting and PPC)
Experience required:

- 2+ years content writing experience
- Writing, creating and producing content in multiple formats for various audiences and touch points
- Managing end to end email production from data management and segmentation to email creation to sending and evaluation
- Creating effective content and supporting others to do this
- Understanding and application of brand guidelines
- Excellent spelling and grammar, with the ability to change the tone of voice dependent on the audience
- Practical content gathering, writing, and editing
- Managing online and social media advertising campaigns
- Understanding and creation of on-page SEO and knowledge of the wider SEM implications
- Use of CMS, web platforms such as Umbraco
- Use of collaborative tools such as Google Drive, Trello, Teams etc
- Social media channels, analytics and scheduling software e.g. Sprout Social
- Using a test and learn approach to increase engagement
- Working in a collaborative and consultative way with in-house teams, taking account of others priorities and helping others to achieve their goals
- Strong organisational & project management skills
