IKWRO –Women’s Rights Organisation (IKWRO) is an award-winning charity founded (as the Iranian and Kurdish Women’s Rights Organisation) in 2002. As testament to its’ success and in response to huge need, IKWRO has expanded and now provides unique and vital support for women and girls from all Middle Eastern, North African and Afghan (MENA) communities who are at risk of “honour” based violence, child marriage, forced marriage, female genital mutilation, domestic violence, sexual violence and other forms of gender violence.  

IKWRO provides direct services including advocacy and professional counselling. IKWRO opened the UK’s first specialist Middle Eastern women’s refuge. IKWRO is regularly called upon to share expertise with government, academics, and media and to train professionals from bodies such as the police, social services and schools.  

IKWRO has led the recognition of “honour” based abuse and “honour” killing as forms of violence against women and girls. Campaign successes include; the first extradition from Kurdistan-Iraq to the UK of perpetrators of “honour” killing of Banaz Mahmod, the UK’s criminalisation of forced marriage, child marriage, virginity testing and hymenoplasty, as well as the first ever national inspection of policing of “honour” based violence. 

The post-holder will help Arabic speaking women who have experienced Forced Marriage, Female Genital Mutilation and “Honour” Based Violence. Working in a confidential setting, counsellors listen attentively to their clients and offer them the time, empathy and respect they need to express their own feelings, to help them overcome their problems and to make appropriate changes to their life.

The post holder must be BACP or UKCP accredited (or equivalent e.g. HCPC) or training to achieve these accreditation.

The above post is open to women only and are exempt under the Sex Discrimination Act 7(2) (d) and (e) and the Race Relations Act 5(2) (d) 1976. No agencies please. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with clients;
• To undertake high quality direct (assessment and therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions; making autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice.
• Develops treatment and guidance methods and give guidance using a variety of therapy and counselling techniques;

· To formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of clients’ mental health problems based on an appropriate multi-factorial understanding of the client’s problems and current evidence-based best practice, taking into account the current NICE guidelines.

• Studies psychological factors in the treatment and prevention of mental illness or emotional and personality disorders;
• Maintains required contacts with education or other health professionals, as appropriate, and recommends possible solutions to problems presented;
• Encouraging clients to talk about issues they feel they cannot normally share with others;
• Accepting without bias the issues raised by clients;
• Helping clients towards a deeper understanding of their concerns;
• Attending supervision and training courses;
• Liaising with IKWRO’s staff, counselors and advisors;
• Working to agreed targets in relation to client contact;
• Undertaking group as well as individual therapy on occasions;
• Keeping records and writing reports.

We are looking to recruit a new Fundraising Coordinator who believes in our vision that there should be “No Street Called Home” for children living on the streets in Uganda and who wants to help us to grow this impact and further change children’s lives.

Reporting to: Development Manager

Location: Remote

Working Hours: Part-time, 2.5 days per week (working days are flexible)

Salary: £27,000 pro rata (based on a full-time equivalent 37.5 hour week)

Contract Length: One year, fixed term (with the potential to extend based on available funding)

This is a 2.5 day a week role which would be perfect for someone looking for a flexible job that makes a big social justice impact. This would suit someone with family responsibilities or who is studying a part time masters course for example, who needs a job role that fits in around their other commitments. You could work it full time over 2.5 days or part time over 4 or 5 days a week.

You will be joining a wonderful team in the UK and Uganda. We currently have two paid staff (based in London and Bournemouth) and a variety of volunteers in the UK, plus a team of 26 staff in Uganda. Your views will be valued and you will get the chance to work together within our team to problem solve and suggest ideas to improve our programmes at every step of the way.

Job Purpose

• To support the Development Manager in securing appropriate funding for the organisation
• To support the Development Manager in managing fundraising partnerships
• To support the administrative functioning of the organisation
• To work collaboratively with, and offer support to, the rest of the UK team, to best meet S.A.L.V.E.’s aims and objectives.
• To work with the S.A.L.V.E. team as required, developing and improving our existing programmes of work to best benefit our service users.
• To raise awareness of the work of S.A.L.V.E. International and be an ambassador for us in the community.

Key Activities

The following activities are intended as a guide to the main responsibilities of the post and are not an exhaustive list of duties and tasks. To carry out these activities you will be working together with and given support by the Development Manager.  The post-holder may be required to undertake other duties that are not listed below, at the direction of their manager.  The job description may be amended from time to time after consultation with the post holder.

• Researching and writing funding applications to Trusts, Foundations and Corporate CSR programmes, in order to secure funding for new programmes or projects
• Writing funding reports, to fulfil obligations to funders
• Building strong relationships with funders and partners, to secure long-term, sustainable funding and identify new funding opportunities
• Leading on the design and delivery of the organisations Community Fundraising strategy
• Supporting the CEO and Development Manager with admin tasks, to ensure the effective functioning of the organisation.
• Working with the S.A.L.V.E. team to deliver on our strategic plan. Contribute to its review and improvements over time to maximise the organisation’s impact with our service users through regular evaluation and learning reviews where required.

• Demonstrable fundraising work experience: minimum two years, ideally with experience of trust fundraising.
• Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to engage donors, corporate partners, and stakeholders effectively.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify funding opportunities and assess their suitability
• Excellent IT Skills including a wide range of software packages such as Excel, Word etc
• Experience of using design software packages such as Canva (preferrable)
• Experience using a CRM for donor management (Beacon preferred)

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Uganda and its culture, particularly if you have spent time there.
• Knowledge of international development, homelessness, social entrepreneurship, social work and/or addiction.

Trauma Treatment International (TTI) is a registered charity in the UK. We focus on providing evidence-based psychological treatment and support to victims of collective violence around the world. As well as providing treatment for victims directly, we work with organisations and communities to manage, mitigate and prevent the impact of trauma.

This is an exciting time for the charity, as we move into our next phase of development. We are now seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead us in the implementation of our Strategy 2025-2030 and our vision for change.

The CEO role is a highly rewarding one, offering the opportunity to join and lead our small, yet experienced and impactful team. This is a remote working role, with attendance at events or locations as required throughout the year. Key experience and attributes you will need to bring:

• Minimum six years’ experience at senior leadership/management level, ideally gained in non-profit organisation or other humanitarian setting.
•  Some prior experience of interacting with a Board of Directors.
• Experience of financial compliance including demonstrable experience of actively setting and managing budgets, preparing cashflow projections and working with financial reports – this experience is likely to have been gained over at least 3 years’ active, first-hand participation.
• Prior experience of working in a growth environment, ideally having gained involvement in income generation/fundraising.
• Experience working with external funders, partners, and collaborators
• Demonstrate clear understanding of Charity Code and governance obligations including Charity Commission requirements and charity law.
• Possess and demonstrate strong leadership experience and ability to lead with a coaching / mentoring/ trauma-informed style in order to maintain organisational culture, valuing the people of the organisation.

• An ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team, taking the lead when required, maintaining & encouraging open and honest communication.
• A good standard of written English and IT skills would be essential, you will be writing reports and keep record of the Children and Young Peoples progress.
• Transporting children / young people to an activity or school is a requirement. A driving licence that has been held for 12 months would be desirable.

Operations Officer (Internal role names: Scheduler, Response Coordinator and Volunteer Coordinator)

As Scheduler, you’ll help allocate new client referrals to our team of practitioners and coordinate smooth handovers between team members. You’ll work closely with the Scheduling Lead and wider operations team to ensure efficiency and continuity of care.

In the Response Coordinator role, you'll manage all incoming enquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely responses and directing queries to the appropriate team member.

As Volunteer and Placement Coordinator, you’ll oversee the onboarding of volunteers and Music Therapy student placements, matching individuals to suitable settings, and handling DBS checks and references.

You’ll also contribute to ongoing improvements by sharing feedback and insights from your role to support the development of internal systems and processes.

Accountabilities

This role involves a range of duties that may vary week to week. Key responsibilities include:

• Responding promptly to general enquiries from individuals and organisations via phone and email

• Supporting the scheduling team with new referrals, service contracts, and opportunities, including liaising with Music Therapists and Community Musicians

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in our CRM system (Salesforce or similar experience is desirable), including logging communications and key information

• Ensuring clear and consistent communication with clients, referrers, and partner organisations regarding referrals and enquiries

• Creating and managing service agreements using Jotform

• Assisting with assurance and compliance paperwork

• Transferring referral data and supporting team members in keeping client records current

We are looking for a highly organised, efficient individual who can work independently and take initiative when needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate empathy and sensitivity in all communications, with a warm and supportive telephone manner and the ability to write clear, compassionate email responses to clients and referrers.

Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach are essential, as this role involves close interaction with colleagues across the team. An understanding of, or willingness to learn about, music therapy and the experiences of our clients is important.

Confidence using digital tools and systems is essential, as the role involves working with a range of platforms to support service delivery and coordination.

Role Summary

An exciting opportunity to join Into Film and lead on the production of all audio-visual content for the UK’s foremost film education charity. Overseeing an in-house production team of six, the Production Lead will work closely with colleagues from across the organisation to identify, develop and deliver an exciting and wide range of content for classroom resources, social media channels and the Into Film website.

The role is initially available for a fixed term through to 31st March 2026, but may become permanent pending continuation of funding.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Joint Heads of Programme and Head of Marcomms to identify audio visual requirements in support of the Into Film strategy, including income generation. 
• Lead on planning and allocation of work for a team of six, supporting on and leading projects as required.
• Oversee departmental production budget, and budget from commissioning departments, ensuring that expenditure is planned, tracked and evaluated. 
• Plan for and manage freelancers in support of production activity as required.
• Manage Production Team, identifying where support, training and development are required to ensure a flexible approach to producing a diverse range of audio-visual content. 
• Ensure that statutory regulations in the provision of film and media content are complied with (safeguarding and child protection, GDPR etc.). 
• Ensure that all audio-visual content is legally compliant and rights are cleared for use on specified channels. 
• Oversee production on key projects including the Into Film Festival and the Into Film Awards. 
• Ensure that Into Film audio-visual content reflects the diversity of its audiences, including teachers, young people and children from under-represented backgrounds and communities.

Person Specification:

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of two years’ experience of team management in a fast-moving production environment. 
• Experience of audio-visual content production and post-production, including for social media.
• Extensive experience of working successfully and collaboratively with senior colleagues from across an organisation to plan and produce audio-visual content.
• Experience of managing individual project and departmental budgets. 
• Good working knowledge of rights and compliance issues in relation to audio visual production. 
• Confident, creative judgement, including experience of feeding back on briefs, scripts and edits, and taking responsibility for project sign-off and delivery. 

Desirable:

• Experience of producing audio-visual content for an education and/or youth audience.
• Experience of editing audio-visual content using Premiere Pro.

As Mass Participation Events Officer (Challenge Events Officer), you will play a key role in engaging supporters to take part in exciting fundraising Challenge Events, from the London Marathon to cycle events and adrenaline fuelled challenges like a sky-dive or abseil, raising vital funds for disabled children and young people.
