The Diocese of London is seeking a Youth Ministry Advisor to play a key role in advancing our Christian mission by resourcing and empowering churches in their work with young people. This is a strategic role that supports our 2030 Vision, with a particular focus on the priority of Growing Younger — ensuring that young people across London are engaged, valued, and nurtured in their faith journeys.

This is a permanent, part-time role (0.6 FTE, 21 hours per week), based in Pimlico (London) on a hybrid working basis.

Job responsibilities

· Act as the subject matter expert for Youth Ministry within the Diocese

· Provide training, advice, and consultancy to parishes and clergy, including youth elements of Cultivate

· Lead and facilitate online and in-person events for paid youth workers

· Build networks of support for paid youth workers across the Diocese

· Deliver Launchpad courses for vicars, in partnership with Youthscape

Parenthood can be hard. It can be lonely. And it doesn’t come with a manual. Many families we work with also struggle with hunger, grief and anxiety, and just don’t know where to turn for support. Our volunteers are a lifeline to hundreds of families each year, offering one-to-one home-visiting and a wide range of support for parents to ensure that their children have the best start in life. We are seeking a Volunteering and Engagement Coordinator to recruit and develop a diverse team of volunteers, to support our work with families in Barnet, Brent and Harrow.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking change-maker to test new approaches to engaging with local communities and potential volunteers. You will understand the importance of brand and positive messaging, and will be able to use a variety of techniques including social media to promote volunteering opportunities to different communities of interest.

Additionally, the postholder will be an inclusive and engaging communicator, with the ability to build supportive relationships with a diverse group of volunteers. The postholder will ensure that volunteers receive training, development and supervision to support the families we work with, and that high standards of practice are maintained. The work requires a combination of field-based community engagement and training in Barnet, Brent and Harrow and regular days in the office which is in Finchley, Barnet.

Role purpose

RISE strives for a world where people can lead safe, purposeful lives as a result of better relationships within families and communities; where harmful behaviour is marginalised and fewer people are victims of crime. In order to create safe communities, RISE empowers people to break their cycle of harmful behaviour. RISE’s programmes challenge attitudes and facilitate long-lasting behaviour change and are driven by the belief that people can make better decisions, given the right support. RISE are specialists in designing and delivering evidence-based, transformative behaviour change courses within the criminal justice system and wider community.

With the main objectives of reducing re-victimisation and reoffending, and helping to protect the public, the RISE practitioner will deliver a range intervention (individual and group), both in the community and in custody.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a high-quality service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a service to those at risk;
• Work collaboratively within a multi - agency framework consisting of the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) and local partnership responses to domestic abuse;
• Identify and assess the risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a pro-active service through individual safety planning and personal support. 
• Work with victims of domestic abuse at all levels of risk to help them access services to keep them and their children safe.
• Liaise with Social Services and other professional agencies in relation to any child protection/ adult safeguarding risk issues highlighted;
• To ensure that any issues in relation to safeguarding children or vulnerable adults are brought to the immediate attention of the Safeguarding lead (or whoever is relevant).
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and keep abreast of current legislation, best practice and maintain a focus of continuous improvement;
• Work with victims of domestic abuse to help them access services to keep them and their children safe;
• Understand the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to domestic abuse victims, and work collaboratively with these as appropriate;
• Provide advocacy, emotional and practical support, and information to victims in relation to legal options, housing, health and finance;
• To record case work accurately and ensure administration of caseload is always up to date.
• To communicate internally within RISE, with victims and with partner agencies about the risks and needs of victims.
• To attend regular case review meetings with the DA Team Leader and Practitioners to share information around the identified risks.
• Manage a caseload of 60-70 service users ensuring each client receives a timely and appropriate service, individual to their needs;
• Support the empowerment of the client, and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse, and help them regain control of their lives;
• Maintain knowledge of the organisation’s operating environment;
• Demonstrate and maintain a commitment to the organisation’s vision and values, strategic aims and objectives.
• To attend and participate in any and all internal and external training identified as necessary to meet the requirements of the role as identified by Rise Mutual CIC.

Main Duties:

• Establish timely contact with Victim/ Survivors of domestic abuse perpetrators who are referred to attend a DVPP,
• Carry out assessments with the Victim/ Survivors via telephone contact or community visit, using the Safe Lives DASH risk assessment tool;
• Carry out detailed safety planning with Victim/ Survivors;
• Manage risk by being pro-active with Victim/ Survivors, sharing information with other relevant agencies in a timely way.
• Refer and/or signpost Victim/ Survivors to other services/agencies to meet risk/wellbeing needs;
• Ensure Victim/ Survivors can access a place of safety e.g. refuge, if risk escalates to a dangerous/unsafe level;
• Maintain Victim/ Survivors contact and continuously monitor risk by keeping up with all available information while the perpetrator attends the programme;
• Attendance at Social Services Conferences (if appropriate), Risk Meetings and MARAC, advising on any safety planning for any risk issues highlighted;
• Undertake an end of case review, signposting Victim/ Survivors to external agencies for ongoing support where appropriate;
• To maintain up to date Victim/ Survivors records to ensure data is collated for all work completed.
• To offer 100% of Victim/ Survivors to complete service user feedback;

Confidentiality and Information Security

• To adhere to the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts and comply with the terms of RISE’s Privacy, IT and Data protection policies, and that of our partners where relevant
• To comply with security measures in accordance with RISE policies and our partner’s E-mail and Internet use.

Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults

• RISE is committed to keeping children and vulnerable adults safe. Post holders with direct service user contact are responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults s/he is responsible for or comes into contact with. Post holders without direct service user contact have a general responsibility for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults in the course of their daily duties and for ensuring that they are aware of the specific duties relating to their role.

Experience

• Have experience of giving or undertaking advice, advocacy, counselling or casework within a domestic abuse setting;

About this key role

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to identify and assess young victims of violence, you will also provide support, advice and advocacy for children, young people and their families as they plan to be discharged from hospital back into the community.  You will produce support and risk management plans based on your assessments and also deliver a holistic support service, working solo or with colleagues as the situation dictates, to each client.  This will include providing practical guidance with social and housing support, accompanying to appointments, ETE options, benefits work, debt advice, DIY work and cleaning.

We will also count on you to develop and maintain relationships with partner agencies, including community-based services such as police, children’s services and local authorities, while closing cases efficiently and positively, identifying a referral route for children and young people that will identify agencies that can be used for ongoing support and agencies that can be used if serious problems develop in the future is also an essential aspect of the role.

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system, lived experience of the issues facing this client group and/or experience of working with ‘high risk’, vulnerable children, young people and/or families

We are looking for Sessional Workers to support Advance’s Criminal Justice Services. Advance’s Criminal Justice Services work with women involved in the Criminal Justice System offering safe, targeted support and advocacy to women to help them address their complex needs in relation to the 9 pathways to offending, such as substance misuse and financial difficulties, aiming to reduce re-offending, encourage desistance amongst repeat offenders, and empower women to live safe, crime free lives.

You will be working in a team of Community Keyworkers in your region. Each Keyworker will provide one to one community support to women with a variety of needs simultaneously and will be co-located with partner organisations in their region. You will be expected to travel to Advance’s Head office in London for any organisational meetings and training, as and when required.

This post is not fixed hours or full time, work will be offered on an ad-hoc basis as and when required to meet the needs of the business.

The Role:
We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Mental Health Outreach Worker to join our team. You will deliver community-based crisis prevention and mental health support, with a focus on underrepresented groups, particularly racialised communities and LGBTQI+. 

This role combines crisis intervention, peer support, and holistic outreach to individuals with complex mental health needs, including co-occurring conditions, substance use, trauma, and suicidal ideation.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide timely, community-based crisis prevention and support, including outreach to individuals leaving inpatient care.

· Engage marginalised communities to improve access to mental health services and reduce stigma.

· Build relationships with LGBTQ+ and BAME individuals and organisations, co-producing peer-led support initiatives.

· Deliver culturally appropriate engagement and awareness activities in partnership with local services.

· Provide holistic, person-centred support for individuals facing complex mental health challenges, addressing co-occurring issues such as substance use, trauma, and housing instability.

· Act as a peer and advocate, creating inclusive and safe spaces for individuals at risk of crisis.

About the role

The Director of Operations will serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and a key driver of our organisational strength. This role leads the development and smooth running of the systems, processes, and culture that enables FLEX to deliver its mission effectively.
